One of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools in all of Northern California. What makes this the best school is our multiple World Champion Cassio Werneck who founded Cassio Werneck Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2003. This is a big school with a ton of mat space. We have a lot of students of all varieties, ages, sizes and rankings.

Picking a gym to train martial arts can be intimidating, but this place is very friendly. Been training here about a year and its made my life much better. Having an outlet and learning discipline while creating great friendships is something i didnt expect but glad i did. Most importantly Cassio is a world class coach who loves his students. All the coaches and students are great and everyone wants each other to grow.

The place to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Northern California. I started training with Professor Cassio in 2020, and consider myself blessed to be able to train at such an awesome academy. He is a World Champion and highly respected for his technical prowess.The staff is eminently knowledgeable and professional, the facility is super clean, and the jiu jitsu family is the best. Do yourself a favor, come and train with Professor Cassio!

After months of kicking around joining a Jiu Jitsu gym I asked a couple killers I know. Most recommended I check out Cassio. I checked it out and found it to be a great environment as a new guy. Everyone is very helpful and positive. I'm impressed with Cassio's ability to explain HOW a technique works and not just repeating the steps. He usually goes into concepts like balance and leverage. He also brings up differences in body types. It's clear he really thinks of ways to explain different aspects of techniques that make it easier to learn for all levels.He also gives attention to all students regardless of their level which is contagious leading to higher level students taking the time to explain techniques when rolling. Overall I would say you can't wish for a better gym.

This gym is an awesome to learn Jiu Jitsu! I've learned so much since I started at the gym about 9 months ago. Everyone here is super welcoming. There are also a ton of higher belts who help me a ton and always share random tidbits of knowledge. Plus, Cassio teaches most of the classes, and he's amazing--incredibly talented and humble. I highly recommend Cassio Werneck's gym!!!

The best school in Sacramento hands down. Cassio's accomplishments in the BJJ world are noteworthy, and he's produced some of the regions top black belts.I can't recommend this place enough

I've trained at many martial arts gyms and this is the best, hands down. The instructor is a world champion and still competes every year. Whether you're an active competitor or just trying to learn and stay in shape, this is the gym for you.

Been training at this school for over 20 years and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's a great environment for all ages: kids, adults, men, women....
