Casa Del Lago

I dropped into Casa Del Lago Mexican restaurant in Granite Bay, CA, for a late lunch on a lazy weekend afternoon. I've never been here before, driven by lots of times. Hubs and I enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty, flavorful. The service was top notch. The prices were reasonable. The ambiance was chill. They have a separate bar area.As I was looking at the menu, the first thing that caught my eye were the prices. I was anticipating them to be higher. But was pleasantly surprised. The one item combo was $12.99 and two item was $14.99. If you are a light eater, they sell al la carte items (hard shell tacos $5.25; enchiladas, tamales, and chile relleno $6-$8) and sides. Another thing I noticed was the diverse menu choices including a couple of vegan dishes. Lastly I noticed they sell bottled Jarritos and Mexican Coke. Wonderful that they offer non-HFCS soda options as well. Plus they offer a variety of wines, beers, cocktails, and margaritas. Hubs ordered the crispy shredded beef taco combo $12.99 and I ordered the carne asada plate $19.95. The shredded beef in the taco was delicious. It was moist but still had a wonderful crisp sear to it. It was seasoned well, packed with flavor. The taco shell was freshly fried. The carne asada was super thin. It was seasoned well. Both plates came with Spanish rice and refried beans. Yum. The complimentary chips and salsa hit the spot. The salsa is delicious; it has a sweetness and a kicky slight spiciness.

Enjoyed the warm ambiance of traditional Mexican culture. Service was comparable to a fine dining experience but our food servers smiled, laughed and treated everyone kindly. The Mojito was perfect! But the food, WOW WOW WOW From the first bite. Authentic!!!

Great food and service as always. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is very clean. We love sitting in the bar.

The service was good...fast and friendly enough. Fast meant my food wasn't hot. Enchiladas were barely lukewarm inside. Less impressive was the "guacamole" that was not freshly made, unless you consider opening a can or vat of premade green substance resembling guacamole. That was only a little side scoop with my entree. Maybe they use real freshly made guacamole if you order it for an appetizer. The decor of the restaurant is comfortable.

We drive quite a few times from El Dorado Hills to Roseville and came across this place and decided to give it a try.The ambience is good and staff is good. As soon as we stepped in we felt like we are on one of our vacations to Mexico. The margaritas solidified that belief :-) the drinks were totally wonderful.We got the carne asada and the El Diablo shrimp and both the dishes were delicious. Btw all the menu items looked wonderful and we will definitely want to visit the place to try more items.The 1-star deduction is because their bathrooms only have 1 stall and 1 toilet and I was waiting with my toddler for about 25-minutes for an employee who was using it while taking on the phone.

Molè and cucumber Margarita specials were excellent, staff friendly and efficient. They do have a HH 3-6pm on weekdays

I really loved the food at this restaurant. I had the chicken fajitas. It was hot, fresh and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. The service was a 10/10. Everything was nicely spiced, not too hot or mild. The sauces have slight sweet to it while still with a little kick. Excellent! The problem is I could not stop eating the salsa!

This place has a great atmosphere with amazing service! Right when we sat down we were brought chips and salsa and the rest of the night was extremely quick service! The food was great as well! We can't wait to come back!

Attentive customer service, nice cantina area, good food. Looking forward to returning with friends again.

We were in granite bay for an appointment and looked up mexican restaurants nearby. We found this one and decided to try it. The food was delicious and my husband had the negra modelo on draft another plus.I wanted the margaritas with jalapeño but sine I was driving I had to pass.Very welcoming atmosphere and the ladies nearby were enjoying their food and margaritas.This is the place if you want good mexican food.Very polite servers.
