Carolina's Mexican Food

Excellent food. I have always loved Carolinas on 12th Avenue. Food is always up to parr, and the customer service is always great.

Located off Mack Rd with drive thru convenience!Spent $22.10 for a California super burrito and 3 rolled tacos with sour cream and cheese. Service was quick! Rolled tacos were a hit! A crunchy shell but soft in the middle. Burrito was stuffed pretty well with beef, cheese, onions, cilantro, beans, and potatoes. Took me awhile to finish it off, lol. Everything was cooked well and most importantly tasted fresh. Came with a red and green salsa. A good option if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.

The chips were stale and the cheese was not melted... I had to go home and put it in the air fryer to make it at least a bit edible because of the cold cheese. Not the best, but if desperate times comes around and I'm hungry after a night out I'd probably come back with low expectations. - opens 24 hours - lots of food for decent price - fast service

They just need to stop being greedy with the sauce when ordering a lot of food. They they give you like 4-6 sauces. ‍ the ain't nothing without the sauce!

I am obsessed with their carne asada super burrito. It is so so so good and it's huge! I love to alternate the red and green sauce. The service here is also great, they are super efficient and friendly. I have only ordered through the drive through so I'm not sure how it is inside. But it seems like a casual sit-down spot.

4.5 out of 5! New to the area so I wanted to check this spot out! The food portions are massive, I'm talking you'll likely have leftovers You can call ahead of time to place your order or you can order when you arrive. Their service has never disappointed and the wait isnt long roughly 10 mins Prices are also fair for the servings, they also serve beer so you can probably catch a game inside the tvs aren't massive big screens so just giving a heads up! Would be a good spot to chill with the guys but wouldn't recommend taking a girl on a first date lol Nachos feed about 2-3 people, would recommend

The Carne Asada fries at Carolinas are the BEST CARNE ASAD FRIES IN ALL OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA HANDS DOWN. I'll be that person... "if I could give 10days I would" lolBecause it's true! The fries are thicker, it comes with guacamole and sour cream, topped with 2 types of cheese. Been eating here for 15+ years. Sad they closed the location in south sacramento, because nothing else compares!!!! If I were to kick it up a notch I would add pico de gallo to it (cause I like tomatoes) but other than that it's PERFECT. The asada is cooked well. No fatty pieces. The flavor is great. Thank you Carolinas! Now come back to south sacramento or Elk Grove area! Haha

I love the burritos here. Carne asada is my personal favorite. Bonus that they stay open 24 hours.... IF they stay open 24 hours. As I said, I really like the food here and I come very often but if I do have one complaint it would be that on a couple of occasions, I've come here and there's no one working. I pulled up to the drive-through speaker as another car was pulling away. Several cars waiting in the parking lot running. I waited at the speaker for a couple minutes, but nobody responded to me. I pulled around to the drive-through window and it had a sign that read "Sorry we're on our lunch break for 30 minutes." I know how important breaks are and everyone deserves one. And it's also a state law. However, maybe put the time that you started your break. So that customers know what time you'll be back. All it said was on a 30 minute lunch break, but it had no start time, so I'm not sure if the break just started or was about to end? Also, I don't think it's fair to advertise that you're open 24 hours a day. That kind of ruined my lunch that day, but I'll still be back.

The lady working the overnight shift is extremely disrespectful. We asked her to repeat our order at the speaker and she told us "come to the window" very rude. We went to the window and asked for her to repeat our order and she had the whole order wrong!!!! We told her that we did not order that and she told us "bye" and closed the window..... very unprofessional and rude! I will NEVER be coming back here!!!

Love the tostadas but tired of being overcharged for them by 2$. When they ring it up correctly it's 6.80$ and other times it almost 9$. Please be CONSISTENT and considerate with pricing.
