Pickled pigs ears and chicharrones. The collard greens are from Urban Roots. With an excellent Hazy IPA. Enjoy.

They NEVER have the yellow and pink cookies when I go there and I've made a point to go at all different times of the day. I also saw that they didn't make the items fresh, they pulled them out of a freezer and were defrosting them behind the wall. SMH.. I'd still eat them. but their selection is mid.

Mal servicio y mala carne puedo masticar mas fácil la suela de mi sapato que su carne y la cajera peor aun. No recomiendo este lugar. Compren su carne en costco mejor precio y de calidad

I've had carnitas to go, and chicharrones to go. they are both so good! They offer them only on weekends, and I call before I go to see if they have them yet. They are still warm from the kettle, and absolutely scrumptious!no carbs!

I'm not sure If they reducing food cost by reselling days old pan dulce. my experience today was disgusting awful and breaks healthy codes. My husband started consuming the what I thought was fresh pan dulce and noticed hairy mold growth on the cheese. I called the location to let them know and they would hang up or pick up and allow for the background noise to be heard over the phone with no response.

I stopped by here out of convenience because I was running errands down the street. I needed some arracherra for a dinner I was hosting so I picked up a few large meaty pieces and some fresh veggies to make salsa. It's a small store and crowded with stock. The arracherra was the best I've had from any carneceria in Sacramento. Tender, thin and SEASONED. I could smell the garlic coming off the marinated meat. Some places just put red achiote and throw a few onions on top of the meat in the case and call it a day. I will 100% be returning for carne and will try out the chicken next time too. Don't judge a book by its cover.

Want delicious meats and cheeses, Mexican style? Come over to Carniceria Familia Lopez.I've patronized this meat market half a dozen times over the past year. Every time I grab the taco meat (chopped, unseasoned steak) it is delicious even though there's always a few pieces of gristle. All it needs is a small amount of salt before pan frying and it's fabulous! Super fresh. Priced nice at $4.99/lb.I've grabbed an onion, lime and cilantro here in a pinch, though the produce freshness is middle of the road. The canned, dried, household and non-perishable goods are a bit pricey, but you get convenience. Best to pay cash, you'll face a $0.75 fee if purchasing with plastic for less than $5 or $10.They have fresh Mexican sweetbreads, Mexican ice cream popsicles and fresh tortillas. Look for the tortillas that don't have the fancy label. They have a faster expiration date because they have less preservatives = better flavor & fresher. I loved the flour tortillas, haven't tried the corn tortillas.

Love this place, but this is not a restaurant, its a small grocery store with a meat market.I go there for the meat, cheese and chili. They cook chicharrones and carnitas, you can take home and make soup. The cheese is the best, they allow you to taste it before you buy. The chili is the best, lots of flavor and has that bite!During the holidays (and pretty much any day probably) I see alot of people buy full body of meat. The great thing here, is the butcher cleans and cuts the lamb, pork, calf for you. The meat is fresh, all the time, chicken goes on sale sometimes, but most importantly is cleanliness at the counter. I have been very pleased with this place, I go here about 1-2 times a week. Fresh meat tastes a whole lot better than frozen. Just saying.
