Capital Confections

This is based on one visit. I won't be back for a second. It's not that my first visit was bad but that there is no reason to go back; there are much better options nearby. The service was wasn't unfriendly but it wasn't friendly either. I didn't feel any sense of a welcome. It felt like I was just one customer in a parade of customers , even though I was the only one in the shop. The confections that we tried were good.I wish I could recommend this shop especially because it appears to be a locally owned business but the truth is there is no reason other than convenience.

This adorable candy store is my go to for gifts! They consistently offer quality chocolate candies and gelato. Many of their treats are made on site and they have been able to make personalized gifts for my family... including a dark chocolate turkey with my Grandfathers name on it. The family got a kick out of that last year and it made a great centerpiece for our table. I would and have recommended this place to many friends and family as a great store with locally made chocolates and a great staff that always offers quick assistance and friendly conversation.

I like this place because they have Gelato to Great selection of chocolates and truffles I bought a couple of milk chocolate Roses , chocolate covered Oreo's and chocolate covered gummies. My niece loved the chocolates she shared them with her family. Ifyou never been here you have to check it out .and the surrounding shops.

Last year I tried Le Grand Confectionery for my annual Christmas sweets (previous years include Candy House of Davis) and decided to try Capital Confections this year. Ginger Elizabeth's and Andy's Apothecary are very good too for the Sacramento area, and Kobasic's also makes the top lists of Sweet Treats, but CC won out for 2015. Placed an online order for the 4-piece ($11) and 9-piece ($24.50) assorted chocolate flavor truffle boxes for pickup at the store (instead of paying for shipping). The store is really cute, located in Town & Country Village at the corner of Fulton and Marconi. Parking wasn't too bad, with 20-minute spaces right alongside. Yelp check-in gets you a truffle and small gelato for $5, there's also a $20 for $25 Yelp Deal. The lady behind the counter, Teresa, was quick to help me with my order. There may be some trouble with the online ordering system but hopefully that gets fixed soon. The boxes are very nice, lids have "windows" to see the truffles -- I had asked for green ribbon when placing the order but got Christmasy red/gold/green ribbon instead which is fine. Those truffles are massive! If I had more time to peruse the store, and the weather wasn't so wintry, I'd go for some gelato.

So many great sweet treats here. My wife and I love to treat ourselves with these tasty offerings. We especially enjoy their gelato during hot Sacramento days.

This place delivers the wow factor! I asked for a note on my box for my wife's 31st birthday and they delivered! They wrote the note in white chocolate on the back of a chocolate bar! Talk about exceeding expectations! My wife just received her package ten minutes ago! She was pleasantly surprised and loves the chocolate!Thank you for going above and beyond! I'll be back for more!!

We love the dark chocolate decadence truffles and visit frequently! The extra special holiday packaging makes for a sweet gift for anyone who needs pampering. Love the Valentine's and Mother's Day wrappers... can't say enough good stuff about this excellent chocolate and gelato shop It was a delight to discover their truffles at Lodi Wine & Chocolate weekend. Hosted by Cabana Winery it was a fun treat. Thank you!!!

I've been wanting to try the chocolates at this specialty shop, especially since they offer a Yelp Check-in deal. There are so many delicious-looking items that it's easy to just stand there and stare at each and every one of the candies. Fortunately, for me, the staff pointed out the items most popular, her personal favorites, and those candies containing the ingredients I announced that I enjoy. I had to limit myself to a select few, and after my transaction was complete I was given a free sample of the delicious gelato. Wow! There's Spumoni - my favorite! All of the products available at this specialty store are made with the finest ingredients. It's like a boutique chocolate shop! And, each item highlights the actual flavor of the chocolate while minimizing sugar in the product. The end result is a high end, delicious tasting, chocolate. Enjoy! I'm sure you will return for more!

Best chocolate place in Sacramento. Found this hidden gem last year and have been a regular since. Their gelato is almost better than the chocolate. Owners are welcoming every time we go in. Must try!

Excellent customer service. Called 10 mins before they closed and placed an order for pick up. The woman working went above and beyond to accommodate my request. She made a box of my requested flavours and added a birthday ribbon as a special touch. Everything looked delicious and I ended up buying a few small extras. So glad I stopped in and I would definitely recommend them.
