Great food. War wonton soup is Never a bad choice. Fried rice is in abundance too. Definitely will have left overs.

I decided to try Canton after seeing it featured in an Instagram video. There is no indoor seating, it is just pick up. The first time, I ordered the sweet and sour, and honestly, I thought it was just okay--I've definitely had better.However, I absolutely love their veggie plate. The vegetables are incredibly flavorful, and I could eat them all the time. My husband and I also get their fried chicken, which is so perfectly crunchy.While the prices aren't as inexpensive as you might expect for a spot on 47th, the portion sizes are huge and totally worth it.

On a rainy afternoon, my appetite rose and I decided to treat myself to some pork chow fun at Canton Restaurant on 47th. These days, all orders are for "to-go" here. It was not my first time there. To the uninitiated, the restaurant front doesn't look like much. I get them not wanting to put much into decorations in a sketchy neighborhood where so much gets vandalized. People still come here for their take-out Chinese food because it tastes good and the price is reasonable. A $13 chow fun order will get you enough food for 2 meals for. moderate eater. Not like these newer ramen places that charge nearly $20 and you get only enough food for a single meal.I made sure to order the chow fun dry-cooked (I don't like my noodles dripping). After not a very long wait, my order was brought to my car, and I was off to return home and dig into the dish. There's a generous serving inside the bag along with a nice big napkin and plastic fork. I noted that they'd include a piece of cardboard under the clamshell so it would "sit" flatter in the bag...this was much appreciated!Food was delicious! Lots of bean sprouts! Lots of yum.This really hit the spot. The seasoning was spot-on...not overly salty.

On this occasion my friend Annie and I checked out the much touted traditional Chinese spot: Canton Restaurant ("Canton").THE SETUPLocated on 47th Avenue, Canton is the absolutely delicious "Hole-In-The-Wall" (by definition!) and it touts a fantastic menu. Very reasonably priced, it reminds me of an old school "Drive-In" version of a restaurant: people pull into the large gravel parking lot, and they either have their to-go order already waiting for them, or they actually order in the lot.And in a very reasonable time, the to-go order is brought out, they pay for it, and the restaurant is kind enough to put the meal-to-go in a stable cardboard box to take home.LE MENUWe did an array of yummies:* Coconut Shrimp* Shrimp *& Vegetable Chow Mein* Sauteed Greens* Peppered Chicken Wings* Sodas and TeaEach dish was delicious and SO FILLING!THE LOWDOWNYou have to come check out the best Chinese Food in South Sacramento!

Hella legit Chinese food, family-owned very friendly service. Got the housemade chili oil sauce. I love spicy foods. Get the beef chow fun, fried rice, chowmein, can't go wrong with any of their dishes. Food comes out fast and hot. I would've never stumbled upon this place if not for the locals. Now that there's indoor dining, can't wait to come back and gather with friends. Chinese New Year is around the corner, time to celebrate big for Year of the Dragon! Me and my boyfriend were so excited to give this place a try, as we seen the review on IG. We went today and were so disappointed, nothing we ordered was good. The sweet and sour pork had a horrible taste , the meat was so gross I threw it up, the egg rolls were so disgusting, everything was gross . Don't be scammed by the supposedly good reviews. Maybe years ago it was good but it's not worth the try, Don't recommend this place at all.

Yummy! I completely understand why two dudes pulled up here just to order two eggrolls and then peace out the last time I was here waiting outside for my order. The eggrolls are just that delicious, and the biggest I have ever seen in my life. Don't let that fall on your foot, as my Grandpa would have said. They're also vegetarian! Woot woot!The menu has a dedicated vegetarian section, and several things can be made vegan upon request. I ordered orange tofu and eggrolls, and both were fantastic. You also get a ton of food so you'll have three meals at least in one, and for that price? Are they serious? I would absolutely order the orange tofu and eggrolls again, but I also want to try the different kinds of tofu dishes that they have available in the not too distant future. The guy who took our order was very kind and was the one who told me about the vegan mods if I wanted them. They do not have dine in yet in these trying times, so you'll have to either call ahead to order, or pull up, order outside, then wait for your food. There is a little shade so it isn't terrible on a hot day, and the wait is hardly anything at all. I think we waited 15 minutes once we had ordered. The parking lot looks mostly deserted but it is open during the posted hours on Yelp that I did check and see were up to date. There is plenty of room to park in the lot. Straight to the point ....The food was good! Hot! Took about 10-13 minutes and was presented to me. The portions were large & satisfying ! I was able to eat some for lunch and dinner! Got general chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and chow mein. Don't let the look of the place determine if you should give it a try. They are polite and love to service the community. I will be back for more!!

We went here on a rainy day. The service was friendly and very efficient. The food tasted great and more importantly affordable! It's pretty tough finding good food that doesn't break the bank these days. They have a solid selection of items. Would recommend the fried chicken, it was well seasoned and stayed crispy through dinner time. We also got the fried rice and chowmein. Glad businesses like these are still around.

I've been coming here for a while. Amazing owner, food is legit for sure and I'll keep coming back... This place is underrated definitely.....
