Great gym for kids and adults. I started training myself but after seeing great results in about 3-4 weeks I ended up enrolling both of my kids. Since then they have gotten in really good shape and enjoy training with their friends from school. They offer morning and evening classes and there's also open gym available as well. I would definitely recommend this gym for adults, and kids if you want to get in good shape.

I have been dreaming about learning and training in boxing. Although I am not going to fight professionally, I wanted to gain the stamina and strength of boxers. I saw a 10 day set on groupon and swooped it up. Gil is the owner and he is a former boxer himself. This is his gym. It's a down to earth gym but a lot of the times as an adult you get 2:1 or 4:1 time with Gil for the training session. He also works with you if you're feeling weaker. There's a good combination of pushing you and knowing where your limits are. He makes sure I am conditioning my arms with other exercises like the row machine, bench press and more since my arms a little bit weaker. But I rock the jump ropes! Haha. They also have free gloves to wear... of course they are a little bit sweaty from prior use, but then again would you really want to box at a fancy gym? No! You want the grit and you want to realness of this gym.

Gilbert is an awesome coach. Whether you've been boxing for awhile or just starting out, this gym is a one stop for all. On wednesdays there is also jiu jitsu class in the afternoon. The gym itself has a warm welcoming enviroment and the members make you feel like you're instantly part of the gym fam. Maybe its losing weight, getting in shape, toning out or fighting professionally... whatever the needs, Gilbert is extremely knowledgeable in knowing how to get results!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS GYM. Lack of people skills and routinely inattentive during the class. Focus seemingly only going back and forth between facebook and flirting with wandering eyes towards students. Puts on a good front to get you to sign up but in the end true colors always reveal themselves.

I love love going here. Always a good workout and Gil works with me, on every workout I do even not just boxing also teach me how to proper do the workout. I'm always here Tuesday and Friday. It's a bit far from my house but I never regret going here always going home happy and accomplished. I recommend this gym to all looking to be strong. It's been a month and it's good so far. Gil is a good coach and made it fun to workout. So far so good . Next time I'll update and post a video of it next time.

Used a Groupon for 3 months at this gym. It turns out I really like boxing. It's one of the most intense workouts I've ever experienced. But...I was really disappointed by the lack of engagement of the staff members with the students. The guy who runs this place doesn't care about teaching new members to box. He sits behind his desk and plays on his computer and occasionally comes out to tell people to change exercises. After 3 months of going 3-4 times per week, and already being in good shape, I still couldn't throw a left hook correctly. I was told many times I wasn't doing it right, but no one ever bothered to help me learn. It was things like this that made it difficult to even want to go to class, but I felt obligated since I paid for the groupon. The young guy who's in charge of the kickboxing class is really lackadaisical. He didn't know how to help students do things correctly. Paulie is the only instructor who ever spent time with me, working on my stance and hitting the heavy bag. But he mostly taught boot camp and conditioning classes (when I was interested in learning to box). I think if you already know how to box, this place wouldn't be too bad. If you're new to it, I wouldn't recommend it.

Website says "offer classes in Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, Self-Defense and Kickboxing" but it is not true. Owner only teaches rudimentary boxing with no attempt to improve his students' skills. The man wouldn't know an axe kick if it hit him in the head. The workout is the same every class, night after night. No variety, no imagination. The school is filthy, especially the bathroom, which has years of filth spattered on the walls, floor, and toilet.Look elsewhere if you want a quality workout or to improve your skillset.

TL;DR: You won't get taught boxing, Muay Thai, or kickboxing from Gil. You will get very good work outs, but Gil doesn't spend any time on striking technique or footwork. The most advice on improving my technique I ever got was "Hit harder." Often, the gym isn't actually open on the times labeled "Open Gym" on the gym's schedule. It's especially frustrating when you ask if the gym will be open at a certain time only to have Gil leave and kick you out halfway through your workout. Don't waste your time, money, or patience here. (Seriously, it was so frustrating that I just now created my Yelp account to give this place a one star review.)More details:Payment: I wasn't clear what Gil meant by his policy of having customers pay their first and last months at the same time. It seemed to imply that I could only buy two months minimum, so I asked if I could purchase only one month. Gil said "Yeah" and then charged me $120 for two months (apparently, he hadn't been paying much attention to our conversation). But, he was somewhat flexible and allowed my months to be non-consecutive (I would be out of town for several months before returning).Classes: Gil's classes are a really good workout if you push yourself. However, he doesn't show you how to improve your technique. His website advertises Muay Thai and boxing, but Gil's classes just don't help you work on those skills. The classes were good exercise, but you can get that at a lot of other places. The MMA/jujitsu classes were pretty cool and I was doing pretty well in them. But as soon as the coach found out that I wasn't interested in competing in MMA, I started getting sent to work with students at a lower skill level than me. We got less attention from the coach and moved at a much slower pace than I had previously been working.Absence: The schedule lists open gym hours where a trainer is available, but Gil often left, forcing me to leave as well, when I was in the middle of working out. I once asked if he would be open for the next hour and a half and the answer was yes. 45 minutes later, Gil said he had to leave and, thus, I had to leave during Open Gym. On another occasion, I called in advance to see if he would be open in the afternoon and again got a yes in reply. However, the place was closed when I got there (funny thing was, Gil left his blinking 'OPEN' sign on). There was also an instance where Gil started a class late and then cut it short so he could leave the gym early to go install his new TV. Saying the schedule was inconsistent would be an understatement.Again, don't waste your time, money, or patience here. It's not as clean or nice as it looks in the pictures and you can get far better services elsewhere. Also, I once got a cut on my foot and Gil didn't know where the first aid kit was. Not a great sign.
