Visiting the California Auto Museum during free museum week was a fantastic experience. The variety of vintage cars on display is truly impressive, and I loved learning about the history behind each one. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable.

Well worth a visit. Lots of lovely old cars and trucks, some dating from the early days of automobiles (e.g. Model Ts and Stanley Steamers). Very friendly and helpful staff, and a good selection of educational films and explanatory text. Free parking is available in their lot.

This was such a fun place to visit! The car collection was vast and diverse, the cars were beautiful and well kept, and the variety made the trip interesting. The docents were very informative, kind, and shared great stories/backgrounds on the cars! What was super neat was getting to touch/sit in some of the cars! Definitely worth the trip!

If you like cars or know someone who does, you need to stop by the Automobile museum! The collection is vast and varied. The docents are friendly, knowledgeable, and love to chat about the different cars they've got in. Their inventory is always changing, so it makes it exciting to stop in more than once. They even have some cars available for you to sit inside!4 stars instead of 5 because they don't have air conditioning, which is brutal in the summer (it is a giant warehouse, so it makes sense). They do have fans and coolers running throughout, so it isn't totally overwhelming. We've been on a triple-digit day and you just want to make sure you go early!

We thought this was a really fun place. Some great looking cars, some not so much, but it depends on what you like and what is a classic in your mind. They even took us for a drive in a few of the cars. That was fun and the weather was perfect for the convertibles. We'll be back some day.

We came downtown for the Memorial Day auto show and stopped in the museum afterwards. What a surprise! Such a great collection of cars from the very beginning to the recent history of electric cars. There was a lot to learn and hands on opportunities to see how things worked and the ability to get in some of the cars to take photos. I thought the entrance fee was really reasonable for such a nice collection. Definitely worth a visit, maybe spend an hour or so exploring the place.

This is a gem of a place! The employees are knowledgeable and patient. There is a wide range of vehicles to see and even vehicles that you are allowed to sit in, which allows for a pretty unique and memorable experience! We came for their trunk or treat with two very energetic toddlers and there was so much for them to do and see and the staff was great at helping us keep them entertained. There is a lot to do and see. Our little ones had a blast and lots of opportunities to fill their treat bags with all kinds of goodies!

I was here for a privately held event and this place is an absolute delight for antique car lovers. From Chevys to impalas. There is a section of women owned cars and each car on exhibit is stunning. I would highly recommend this place.

The CAM is pretty cool. I decided to get tickets because I wanted to check this place out and it was very affordable. So me and my bf took a little trip to Sacramento. There is a gift shop to the right as you walk in. The place has a real nostalgic look to it. I was mostly interested in the woman and cars they had featured for a few months. Also on the 3 Sunday of every month you can go and take a ride in an old school car. In fortunately we missed it so we definitely go next time so we can have that experience. It is also kid friendly so bring your little ones. Definitely worth the visit. Here are some of the picture I took. Wish I had more pictures but I had deleted them unintentionally.

I booked the CAM to have my daughter's Quince after another venue canceled on us due to double booking. I had never even been to the CAM before and would have never guessed they rented an area out for events. The space is a large, blank canvas and affordable. They also have a small bridal room and a meeting room that can be added for additional costs.Daphne was the coordinator I worked with and she was amazing and great with communication. Any questions I had, I knew I could get ahold of her easily through email or phone.THE BIG DAY:*Before the Party*My crew and vendors were able to arrive as early as 10am to start setup. Since I did majority of decor and floral arrangements myself (along with the help of family members), I added the bridal suit to have hair and makeup done for my daughter and myself. This helped tremendously to not waste time driving back and forth to be on time for the party, which started at 5pm.*Party Time!*Guests arrived and were able to walk around the museum before entering the party area if they pleased. This is especially nice for those who have never been to the CAM and anyone who loves vintage cars.My daughter did her big entrance by riding in on a 1967 Chevy Camaro. It was such a hit!We had issues with uninvited guests coming in and doing inappropriate things, but security and staff were able to get them out.*SIDE NOTE*During the party, we found out that someone altered the invitation for my daughter's Quince as open invite. For Quince's or Sweet 16s, I would keep this in mind. It was not something I ever thought about and wish I had so that I could come up with a solution, such as wristbands for guests. Our party was great and security did their thing, but with this mishap, it lead to some of my daughters friends who were given actual invites to not be let in due to the uninvited being in the venue already and us hitting capacity.
