Caffe Italiano Ristorante

We finally stepped into Caffe Italiano in its quiet location, and wow, I'm sorry we waited so long! We were warmly greeted and promptly seated without a reservation. We arrived at about 6, and the restaurant filled pretty quickly afterward. Our waiter Ruy shared the specials with us and walked us through the menu as well upon learning it was our first time in.We ordered the caprese as a starter, the boar ossobucco and tortellini and prosciutto for our mains, and the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was excellent! The tomato on the caprese lacked flavor, but it's the middle of February so we're not surprised. The sauces for the mains were amazing. The best cheese sauce we've had maybe ever. The boar fell off the bone in a beautiful way and the mashed potatoes and vegetables that accompanied it were perfectly seasoned. Highlighting the great food was the excellent service. Without hovering or intruding our water and wine glasses were refilled, plates and silverware provided or removed before we needed them and promptly after finishing with them. Food was served and our satisfaction with it verified in the politest ways. Though the location is unassuming, the waitstaff is so very good at serving their guests. This is service in the finest European tradition where a restaurant's hospitality means both excellent food and excellent service together.We had a fabulous time and will make sure we visit again before long!

Our party went to celebrate a birthday. We chose Caffe Italiano because a native Italian friend (who visits our country regularly) highly recommended it as having delicious and authentic Italian food.Our experience was fabulous! Our server was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu selections. We greatly enjoyed the Italian wine that she recommended.We ordered the charcuterie and butternut squash ravioli as appetizers. Delicious! Their Gorgonzola with pears and their Caesar salads were amazing! The focaccia was divine also.For entrees our group enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs, the penne with sausage, the tortellini with prosciutto and the lobster ravioli. All were delectable!They had many dessert selections. For dessert we ordered three different flavors of tiramisu - delightful! A couple of us enjoyed the port, another couple of us enjoyed lattes. Such a lovely evening! Everyone working there was helpful and most welcoming. The restaurant was full, so we definitely recommend reservations! We recommend this gem of a restaurant, and plan to be "serial" patrons!

Maybe the restaurant needs to take a trip to Italy for a taste test.Improvement suggestions:- Instead of a cooking class, maybe send the cook on a culinary adventure to Italy for some real Italian inspiration!- Upgrade the olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make the bread dipping experience as authentic as possible.- Teach the employees the art of espresso pronunciation without the "X" factor.Feedback on server behavior:- Remind the server that audible sighs are for comedy clubs, not the dining room. Let's keep it professional and customer-friendly!

If I had to sum up my meal in one word it would be incredible. Recently lost my mom and I wanted to have a nice dinner out with my husband. I've driven by this place numerous times and when I saw the good reviews on Yelp decided I needed to try it. The bread they start with is warm, fresh and delicious. I ordered the Gorgonzola salad and my husband got the Caesar. Both salads had too much dressing but otherwise were good. For the main course I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli. The red sauce was the best I've ever had. The raviolis were cooked to perfection and on the larger size. I got full after eating 3. My husband ordered the penne pesto with chicken and prawns. We then shared a pistachio tiramisu cake for dessert and went home stuffed. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.

I had a very enjoyable dinner with friends here at Caffe Italiano Ristorante. The owners are from Sicily and their offerings reminded me of the time I spent in Sicily a few years ago. Wow what a hidden gem! Great service, quality & food! Everything's made in house.The complimentary bread was sooo good! So soft & warm paired with olive oil & balsamic to dip. We ordered the Caprese barrata, ravioli formaggio, fettuccine bolognese & pistachio tiramisu. No complaints. I was so excited to try the pistachio tiramisu. It did not disappoint!!Would def come back :)

Hats off to the chef! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I've been told to taste a restaurants soup and in the broth you can judge the quality of the menu. This stands true to Caffe Italiano! The Minestrone soup was tasty and piping hot, the way it should be. I savored and enjoyed every bite! Another tasty appetizer is the prosciutto wrapped melon with balsamic glaze. It's a perfect duo of salty savory goodness. Very much enjoyed the entrees as well. The veal Marsala with pasta was perfectly cooked, however some parmigiana would have been a perfect pairing. The lamb was also delectable. We were too full for dessert, which will have to wait for the next visit.

This restaurant was recommended to try so we got takeout on a weeknight. The Alfredo was not only runny (like soup), it was also bland. Sadly, the lamb shank was also bland and soggy. Unfortunately the vegetables were tough on the outside but overcooked and mushy so on the inside. I don't know how that's even achieved. The mashed potatoes were good. This could have been an off night but with the cost of restaurant meals I think we'll try something else next time we splurge.

Everything was plated beautifully and tasted amazing. Our waitress Sammy was really informative and let us know all the specials, when the produce was ordered, and that their bread was made in house. We ordered the Caprese as our appetizer, the lobster ravioli and ravioli formaggio as our entrees, and creme brulee with chocolate cake. I can't recommend everything enough. The stand out was definitely the lobster ravioli's cream sauce, it is to die for! Atmosphere was very cute as well. It maybe felt just a little bit dark in there for me. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu next time!

The best Italian food I have ever had in my life ! I am a very picky food connoisseur! I have tried very expensive high end Michelin star restaurants all over the country.Nothing compares to the Italian food I had here ! Everything was fresh I did not feel tired or sleepy after eating their spaghetti pasta with their house bolognese sauce ! In fact I had energy after eating their food. That told me their food is authentic with fresh ingredients! Full of flavor ! I highly recommend them and their house bread it's to die for ! Fresh fresh and fluffy not processed! The mom and pop shops are always the best!
