Cafe Express

This is my go to place for lunch when I work in this area. Sometimes I come to the office located in this building just for the food. Try the Breakfast Burritos and the Philly Cheese Steaks.

Wanted to order the nacho special with out meat which would be cheaper in other restaurants but not here! They don't have many choices for vegetarians or vegans. Definitely not worth getting lunch here ever again.

I've eaten here 3 or 4 times...It's not the type of place you would seek out--but, it's the proximity to work that lures me in! The first time I went here I had a tuna sandwich and just didn't feel right afterwards--but, just chalked it up to probably me being dumb by ordering tuna at a cafe...not really a great idea! The 2nd time I ordered egg salad--which wasn't too bad at all--but, I get so weirded out when there's bits of egg shell in there--is that just me?! I still gave them a pass--they probably make huge batches of the stuff at a time and it's just bound to happen that a little bit of shell might find it's way in there...The third time, I ordered their clam chowder...not much flavor and grit from the clams...ok...three strikes and they're out! (At least food-wise!) I'm sure I'll be back to get a coffee or what not!

So everything here sucks, Wings are soggy, Fry's are over cooked. Burgers taste fake, nachos have barely meat, not only can they not cook they are selfish and no help. They charge you extra for nothing, Tax on top of their own personal fee's the prices on the menu are not correct. Bacon taste like pork chewing gum. They try and not give you your recipe so you don't know how much their actually charging you especially when using a card. Its just over all not a good business they don't use gloves nor hair nets so you know what that means.. I just felt I should warn the public and anyone who works near this location and decides to grab something to eat JUST DON'T go here. If I had a choice I wouldn't have even given them 1 Star !

Let me just say that I love this place. My co-workers and I are typically in here *at least* once a week for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. The proximity is awesome, but they've also got a great selection on their menu. The cheesesteak Wednesday special is always delicious (they make the rolls in house and they are the perfect combo of soft and chewy), the Asian noodle salad is so good (the dressing is house made with fresh herbs), the foundation sandwich is amazing, I love their breakfast items and I can always count on John to make a good coffee drink too! I'm not sure where the bad reviews came from, except maybe they're bent out of shape that the prices don't compare to the local dollar menu? If you call your order in, you can avoid the occasional rush that they get in here.

It is a bit pricey but the food it good! The specials are always good, The Foundation sandwich is my favorite, or just getting a grilled cheese sandwich. The portions are really big, which is probably why the prices are higher. The staff if very friendly, and always great me with a smile.

Way over priced. The prices keep creeping up. This place plays favorites. Well the owner plays favorites. Don't try to order avocado. That's ONLY reserved for one certain customer. It's convenient. But they have officially lost my business. I'll go to McDonald's from here on out! He's lucky he gets one star!

I have been an employee here for years, we ended up moving to another building which this cafe is also located at.... So it's convenient... Food is typically ok-tasting. Never truly fresh. Customer Service from the woman (owner's wife) is HORRIBLE. First time, I was charged tax on my cold sandwich and I questioned her about it, she says its "TAX" but was not rang in under the "tax" column on my receipt... The next day I come in and ALLL the menu prices were raised .50 (same amount they charged for my cold food tax). Also, may I add, it's raised again since then, almost $10 for a meal that's never fresh. I go in there again, they burnt my fries BLACK and still served them to me... Then got an attitude when I requested them to remake them. Another time, I ordered chili cheese fries, they put literally a sprinkle of cheese, i go back up there and the woman say "No it's extra for extra cheese!" I'm like um, there's barely ANY cheese on here to begin with it wouldn't be considered EXTRA, just give me what I paid for! Then charges .75 extra for sour cream that I paid.... And they slopped it on the top of my fries after i JUST said I'd like it on the side and she shrugs her shoulders and says "here it's on top" ... WILL NEVER come here again, and I wish other employees here would boycott this place.
