Café Capricho

We tried Cafe Capricho during small business Saturday. We needed a bite while we were out shopping! We got the chorizo burrito and chorizo tortilla. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to your table. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The food came out hot and fresh, and we had complimentary chips and salsa to snack on while we waited. They have canned and bottled beverages as well as a soda fountain. They serve some beer as well. We enjoyed our meal, and I we would eat here again. The torta was particularly good, but the burrito was tasty, too.

Love this tucked in spot. Yummy yummy yummy every thing is yummy. Got a mom and pop feel. You walk in order at the counter and then seat yourself inside or out. Super cute for a first date spot with quality food and located in a great area to walk and window shop in. Not sure if they have a dedicated parking lot but we parked down a residential street and walked the two minutes no problem.Definitely recommend exploring the menu.I had 3 different tacos and all were delightful! I think my top two are the fish and potato and pepper. Can't wait to go back and explore more.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised on how good my vegetarian tacos were. I ordered the potato and cheese, and potato and poblano pepper tacos. The best part, the corn tortilla was deep fried perfectly. The cheese was stringy when I bit into it with the crunch of the corn tortilla. I would have never guessed that this was a Mexican restaurant with their name. They also served other cafe items which I did not order. My husband ordered the fish tacos and said he enjoyed and his favorite of the 2 he ordered was the Baja.

My family loves this place. Always fresh, quick and affordable. Love the beer selection and Two Rivers on tap is a nice addition for gluten intolerant drinkers. The adobada burrito is great but often I will just have a simple bean and cheese. Also suggest the mole enchiladas. Love the vibe here and it will always be one of my favorites in sac.

Iam a loyal customer, and now changing from 5 star to 3 star. Been eating at Cafe Capricho for around 8- 9 years , unfortunately place has slowly been going down hill. My Wife and I loved there green salsa its not available anymore, they use to give you a choice between 2 different salsas. Now they give you salsa that looks like puke and not so good. The only reason I still give them 3 star is there crunchy tacos , still some of the best and my favorite crunchy tacos.Staff are polite and professional Place is comfortable and clean

Ordered a bowl of soup to eat in, they came with a cup of soup in a to-go Dixie cup with a lid so upsetting will not be going back.

What a disappointment. I wasn't sure what type of food they served so I looked up their menu and it appeared to be Mexican food. I did not find any sort of ambiance inside. Kind of cold, cafeteria like, English 80's music. You have to stand in line to order. I ordered a plate meat and it was served in a plastic container. The food was neither authentic nor tasty. It tasted like something that came out of a can and was heated up before serving. Staff was barely friendly. I was REALLY hoping for a good meal but was left wanting. Not going back. : (

A very favorite local spot! Great food. We especially love the tacos, potato poblano quesadilla. Great variety of vegetarian options too. We have been here more times than I can count. Good prices, great food, not too fancy. Owner is nice. It is a smaller restaurant and they usually are pretty busy around lunch and not as busy around dinner. I gave it 4 stars as sometimes hours are inconsistent and service is variable. That said, the crunchy tacos are worth it. Highly recommend!

Excellent red potato, Swiss chard, and black bean burrito with tasty charred green salsa. Great vegetarian options. Carne asada burrito was good too!
