"Phoenix Loft is a wonderful school for experts and beginners. Formally Rebel Aerial, the owner and team are doing amazing work expanding their services. Even when managing growing pains, Kat takes the time to answer student questions regarding classes, scheduling and services. Her ambition is inspiring and she is surrounded by an wonderful team of teachers including, but not limited to, Monica, Arial and Julien. As written in my former reviews for Rebel Aerial, the teacher Monica is intuitive and supportive. She did a wonderful job teaching private classes for my daughter. And as my teacher she is just as tuned in to our needs. Arial is positive and encouraging with hammock (I have not taken her hoop class yet, but I'm sure its is just as good)And Julien is direct and clear with her instruction for silks. Kat as teacher is tough yet encouraging. I know I'll have a good workout with her as coach. I'm midlife postpartum and not *at all* athletic. While I'm active (hiking, and walk-and-talks) I never played team sports or any sport. But approaching 40 I decided to improve my strength while I still have my youth. Free weights is fine, but became a little dull after a year. Circus arts seemed to be an interesting extension of free weights. And it has been a game changer. Weird ailments with my posture and joints, both signs of aging, has improved in unexpected ways. I have become surprisingly strong and agile. While every person's experience may be different, most people I take class with agree: aerial arts is fun and addicting. With new classes for yoga and acro fitness, Phoenix Loft offers a lot in a shinny new location."
"Beautiful park for Summer concert.... No dogs allowed kick back and enjoy the music. Bathrooms are cleaned and music happens once a month. Get out enjoy the music"
"My review is also belated. I had my wedding reception here in June 2007, so things may have changed a little since then. For the price, this place can't be beat. With the hardwood floors, wooden beams and long windows, it's already nice on the inside, but how you decorate it really makes a difference. I've seen pictures of weddings that used plastic table cloths and balloons, and while there's nothing wrong with going that route, it does cheapen the room. Although rental includes the use rectangular tables and brown chairs, we rented our own white chairs and round guest tables. For us, the rectangular tables worked well for the head table, buffet and present tables, but there was no way I was using those ugly brown chairs. We had no problems with the A/C, bathrooms or outlets. We had a lot of stuff plugged in throughout the room, although we did not use the stage. The ovens did have some heating problems, but in the end, everything worked out and our food was hot and delicious. We had round tables set up for 150 or so guests and had plenty of room to move around and dance.Parking is definitely a downside. There is a small lot for the Shepherd's Garden & Art Center behind the park on the 33rd Street side guests can use, but it's first come, first serve. We included a basic wedding map of the area, and some guests still couldn't find the parking lot.Tips for renting this place:- Ensure you have a facility worker nearby to help you with any problems.- If it's summer, book the hall when the pool is closed/or will be closing soon.- Schedule your vendors to arrive extra early because of the parking situation.- Offer a shuttle service from your ceremony site or encourage guests to carpool to the reception.- Keep in mind the time of day. Our reception started around 4:30 on a Saturday in the summer. That was a busy time for the park and parking, but by the time the we came in from doing pictures at another location, things had died down. Our photographer was able to find parking right away to follow us in and document everything."
"This was the perfect place for our whimsical, midsummer wedding! Laura and Jerry from Earth Trek are great work with. The venue was wonderful with its outdoor setting and tents for our guests to opt to spend the night in. We got married May 29th, 2021 and it was the perfect day. Love that it was next to the river. So many of our guests said it was one of, or the, most beautiful weddings they had ever been too. This venue is great with the different locations allowing for a unique setting for the ceremony, dinner, cocktail hour, and dancing. There is so much space. The venue was also incredible because they informed us a local business would have a live band during our wedding and that they would work with them on the key moments. We checked in with the venue as we were concerned about our live musician, a harpist, having to compete with another live band close by, as well as our first dance. Laura worked with the business to coordinate the live band playing the following day. While I felt bad for that, I really appreciated our venue working on preserving those key moments for our wedding. We went back and forth on going with Coloma Weddings for our catering. We are SO glad we went with them; heard lots of good feedback on the dinner which was delicious!! Thank you for much for everything!"
"This place is just ok. It's not worth the large price tag it has. 80 dollars to play on the weekends . The course conditions around and on the greens were terrible. 130 Yards in were terrible. For such a large fee to play here they need to take better care of all the divots around and on the greens. Tons of ball marks on the greens."
"Classy Venue For *More Weirdness* Than You'd Expect!SITREPIf you want to see beautiful Zombie grrrls from Trash Film Orgy (TFO) or cRaZy sCaRy gOrY people milling about at Sinister Creature Con, this is your place! My sweet friend Suzanne had connections to upgrade our regular priced tickets to V.I.P. From Law Bar Exams and Food Festivals, to Rock-Silicate Science Fairs to Sinister Creature Cons! This place is an equal-opportunity venue for everyone! I'm sure if I looked deep enough into their past I'd probably even find a "Guns & Dolls Show" (THAT is the combo that always kills me).SINISTER CREATURE CONThe last time I was here was indeed for the Sinister Creature Con which was by all definitions a "HOOT!"https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/scottish-rite-masonic-center-sacramento?select=lkf1wxjMQN99oOikTaBVjwIt's not a humongous place like downtown's Sacramento Convention Center, but Masonic Center makes excellent use of it's space, and has a terrific, compartmentalized set-up with several ancillary rooms, with LOTS of elbow space for beautiful CRUNK ZOMBIE GRRLS!https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/scottish-rite-masonic-center-sacramento?select=REBDpw24dm6vn_nxGdRweQTHE SPREADSo while the main exhibit halls and vendor areas took up the main front rooms, there were the back side rooms - accessible by the main hallway - where Panels with guest speakers were able to discuss their art, their craft (including Taxidermy!), and their acting histories.https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/scottish-rite-masonic-center-sacramento?select=CXKDuP9tYNq5t6LiqfjIOAAnd speaking of taxidermy - what insane creativity to make medals and pendants out of "expired"-laboratory mice from UC Davis!https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/scottish-rite-masonic-center-sacramento?select=Epd-3XeRy6OJRm2HNOYlyATHE LOWDOWNMy hats off to the Scottish Rite Masonic Center for being the excellent event-venue that it is!"
"The Yolanda Ranch is an outdoor wedding venue in Woodland, CAThe site has a picturesque 1880-era Victorian Mansion, but amenities are relatively new-ish because they have only been "open to the public" for about a year now. Restrooms, lighting, and electrical are state-of-the art. Plenty of shade trees to keep out the heat. Beautiful grounds, even in a drought. The parking lot has "stadium lighting" to ensure proper security.Best of all, this venue won't break your piggy bank.....since they aren't a "winery" you don't have to buy their wines and you're not forced to pay for pricey plated dinners.Jamie (owner/manager) has a philosophy of not "nickel & diming" her couples, she is very easy going and helpful.Acoustics & sight lines are excellent. Probably one of the best wedding venues I've seen, in this price range."
"We've booked their meeting space a few times for varies meetings and it's always a smooth process. It's directly across from the Cathedral on 11th Street and next door to Oblivion Comics. It's an older building, but they've done some nice upgrades to parts of it like even adding apartments on top. They set up the tables, chairs and if you order coffee and water as well. They allow outside catering from their preferred list which works great for us! They also have coffee brought over from Oblivion Comics if you request it which I like that they work with their neighbor. Their second floor meeting room is nice and open with counter space in the back and plenty of room for catering. A/V is available for a price as well. The Manager's office is right next door from the meeting room too with someone usually in there to help with whatever you need. I highly recommend this place! Thanks for all the help, Marques and Ivan!"
"This place seriously is OVERLOOKED but a perfect place to host a party small to big. Volunteers are the nicest folks. Very helpful. I recommend this place to anyone! Paul and Dave are amazing! Must see"
"My son was just married here. Our reception was amazing! Jeff the event coordinator was so helpful, so available, and he was constantly accessible to answer questions and help with small details. Jeff's demeanor is calm, and thoughtful and he made the whole evening flow so well. The food was delicious, the reception area was beautiful and clean, and the cost of the event was very very reasonable. Those who were attending the bar and the kitchen were such nice and accommodating people! Amazing staff!! The view of the golf course and the trees - spectacular! I can't say enough about how fabulous our experience was. Thank you Jeff and staff!! Our guests were so blessed, we were so blessed."
"The place was dark, literally. Not all the lights were lit up. The bathroom was lacking toilet paper. The Soda Fountain's location is not as sanitary as I expected in a restaurant. The chicken was not hot to the temp it should be. The herbed mashed potatoes was tasty, again it needs to be hot. I went to an event, it just seemed like the place was conserving energy on their light bill."
"With my knowledge I believe Escape Krampus is a seasonal escape room so definitely book it before it's gone! We were a party of 6 and all of us enjoyed the escape room we did. The room we did was Escape Krampus & highly recommend it! This escape room involves scare actors so if you love interactive horror escape room definitely recommend! Without giving too much, if you like creepy & scary this escape room will blow you away! Other than that, the waiting room before entering your escape room is lovely. The decor is super eye catching & there are various brain puzzles on the tables to play with while waiting for your room is being prepared."

My daughter and I love this park. Theres so much to do as there are two parks on the location, one for smaller kids and then the other for over 5. A creek runs through it and its a nice place to take walks whether its on the bike trail or over the bridge. Its always clean and its in a small residential area by a one way street so you dont have to worry about traffic coming through. One of our favorite parks in Roseville. Great for families

I come here for Yoga on Saturday morning and it's great. The space is good enough that I can hear the instructors and it seems clean enough. Everyone who goes is very nice and I'm glad they were able to rent out the clunie center for yoga

We held our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding here last weekend, and it was--without a doubt--one of the most beautiful weddings ever! Sitting on the shores of the South Fork of the American River, is a lovely spot with two possible areas for eating, set up for a bar, a dance floor, camping in large cabins overlooking the river, and a cozy and beautifully decorated honeymoon cottage. We had about 110 guests who were happy with everything, including the delicious dinner for the wedding guests, and breakfast for those who stayed in the campground. Jerry and his crew do an amazing job of coordinating everything at this unique venue. Notwithstanding, we had to contend with a "winter storm" in May, yet everything was handled with grace and good cheer. We so highly recommend Earthtrek!

Rate of play is slow, food is overpriced, and the course was not well cared for. If I wanted to pay 100+ for a six hour round of golf with terrible tee boxes I'd.....wait, I'd never do that.

It's been a long time since I have been to the Scottish Rite Center, in fact I forgot that it was still around! Then I realized that this location has been the main venue for so many events that interested me in the past, but never had time to go or find someone to go with me. Recently, I attended a Healing Arts Festival and had a very nice time. But after reading other reviews of this place, I have been missing out on a lot of fun! Comic Cons, Sci/Fi and fantasy conventions, and other stuff that I have probably overlooked. The Masonic Center turned out to be very accommodating for large events. Plenty of space for crowds, separate conference/meeting rooms, receptions and even performances. The parking lot also seemed large enough for the masses of people to comfortably attend events with a convenient entrance and exit. Now I have this place on my radar to see what's coming in the future!

My cousin had his wedding here and everything was absolutely breathtaking. The venue is gorgeous. I didn't get to explore too much in the house but the outside was beautiful.

The Capitol Event Center is a hidden gem in downtown Sacramento. Parking is relatively easy to find between a parking garage and metered street parking. Be wary as several of the metered parking spots are for 30 minutes only. It's a great place for small to medium sized events. They have a capacity of up to 300 people depending on the type of event and your needs. We attended my wife's cousin's 40th birthday party. You can bring in your own alcohol, drinks, and food. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked. There's a 20% off coupon off future bookings by checking in on Yelp. They have a full kitchen for cateters as well as a list of preferred vendors. They also have audio visual tools for meetings and the like. It was a nice venue and we hope to book an event here in the future.

"Zumba classes @ 6:30 pm every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 10 am on Saturdays. First time is free, then $3 for each class."
"This venue is beautiful and it worked perfect for my aunt;s memorial service. However there were some downsides with the service I received from the staff. I initially emailed a staff member who said the venue was available for my date. After viewing it that same day, I wanted to book it, was not hearing back via email, called the main office and they said that it actually wasn't available that date. Tried to call back to find out if another date would be available, called many times without response. I believe they were in a meeting and were in the middle of changing staff people. I ended up working with 5 different people and a completely different person on the day of.Luckily we were able to find a date that worked and got the contract signed and complete. But even still it was hard to get responses on things. I went back and forth trying to get a clear answer on what kind of connection we would need to connect our computer to their projector and I was assured that I just needed to bring a computer and it would plug into that. Sure enough we got there to set up that morning and their cord did not connect directly to our computer. My sister had to run to three different Walmart's to try and find the adapter cord to make that work. She was able to find it, just in the nick of time but it caused additional unnecessary stress. They were gracious to let us continue cleaning up the kitchen after our set time slot. And overall the venue is beautiful. We were able to have 150 seated theater style inside for the service and then we opened up the doors to create an indoor/outdoor feel for the after service lunch. We had the buffet outside and then switch out the inside to round tables for additional seating. Outdoor tables can seat 36 and there are beautiful rose bushes, fountains and enclosed garden. You should instruct your guests to come around back and enter through the garden. It can be a little hard to find it if you don't know where your headed walking through the front of the building. It's a bit hard to find the offices if you don't know where your going and they tend to be locked. It's hard to find the people. We used the Sunset Room, which is also referred to as the Garden Room in different places on the website.. causing even more confusion. It comes with a kitchenette that has a microwave, mini fridge and hot plate, but for another $200 we ungraded to the full kitchen so our caterer was all set. There was a $500 deposit that we got back cause nothing was damaged. The P.A. System came with the room it was one speaker and one wireless mic. We also used the projector & screen. The screen was a little funky, it was crooked and we couldn't get it straighten, but it worked. Overall this is a great venue, the service just seemed disjointed, I know they said they were in a lot of transition with staff, so hopefully things will get more on track once they have that transition complete."
"Visited here for fundraiser so didn't actually see the real establishment. The fundraiser was great and it's a nice drive out but I really can't say other than that"
"We enjoyed the Comedy-Licious event here. The property was beautiful. The wine selections were limited but MDW always has good bottle prices for their members. The Comedians were funny. The food served by the food trucks were ok. Nothing to brag about. It was a bit slow to have so many guest ordering from just two trucks. Some pre-pack snacks or fruits available to go with the wines would be awesome for those who don't want anything from the food trucks. The chairs were hard, small and uncomfortable for sitting for long periods. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. The first hour was really hot and humid. I hope they add some mist to the property to make it more comfortable for the guests during those hot summer nights. Overall was a good value and Good experience. follow me on IG: @Only1ChristineLu"
"Be prepared for this place is busy. One of my youngster cousins wanted his birthday party here. Good choice!! My family and I had a rollicking good time at this coolest place in town. The attitude you bring with you makes all the difference in the experience. The wait staff was warm, friendly, welcoming, courteous, organized, helpful, professional, advised us of all the current specials, adequate for all our skating needs, adequate at serving us, and newbie and disabled-friendly. Here the owner has developed work systems that dignify work and dignify individuals. It's open year-round to host hockey, figure and public skating activities along with birthday parties, hockey and figure lessons, hockey leagues, synchronized skating teams, broomball, curling, school field trips, summer camps and more. What this business did in stark contrast to many businesses I've frequented lately:Is energy-efficient. A magazine, `Energy Users News' called Skatetown Ice Arena, winner of the 1999 Commercial Building of the Year, "the most energy-efficient facility in the nation." Skatetown, a 62,000 square feet building, uses an elaborate computer system to monitor climate, a recycling system for water used to make ice, energy efficient lights and other sophisticated techniques. Was newbie and disabled-friendly.No automatic gratuity was added to our bill. We just don't pay any added automatic gratuity or merchant fees as we pay only for what we had bargained for upfront and received. No one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business. FTC forbids the use of fake testimonials as are illegal under Section 5 of the FTC Act 15 USC 45 as they are using unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce. No one here hassled us about my Service Dog or the Veterans' accouterments I adorn her with lavishly. I don't think anyone even noticed my Service Dog entering, under the table, or leaving. The owners of this business like their Freedom so they have a Military and Veterans Discount as a thank you to Veterans with a publicly disclosed daily Veteran Discount which provides resource to ensure Veterans (rare 7% of the population) and GIs (rare one-half of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population.I'll be back."
"Wonderful golf course and amazing bartender at the club house who was courteous and genuinely nice!"
"I've come here a few times for weddings and for the spa, but this was my first time eating here at the restaurant. We came to celebrate a bridal shower and loved our set up as well as live music. We all ordered the pink dragon cocktail and loved it so much, we ordered a second round. I ordered the steak & eggs and my daughter got the waffles. To my surprise, the waffle from the kid's menu was like an adult portion. Not complaining at all because I knew I was gonna help her eat it anyway. The steak & eggs were delicious as well! Our waiter and waitress were amazing!I would definitely return to enjoy other things!"
""Build. Code. Unite"SITREPThis is the motto of the Hacker Lab in Sacramento. As it were, only a few blocks away from where I live. Their mission is a simple one: they "aim to educate folks and seed start-ups with community driven resources."SETUPIt is a wonderful warehouse style venue space. I have memories of this physical lay-out when it USED to be Sub-Q tattoo parlor. My friend and fellow Yelper Rich K. also used to sub-let a space from Sub-Q for his music business Zoundhaus, for guitar instruction. However, when Sub-Q lost their lease, Rich had to move as well, which was a shame, because this was prime location in Midtown. So of course I was waiting with baited breath to see what would show up here.ENTER HACKER LABSo since I've been back to this "location" as it is now Hacker Lab, it is a treat to see how the set-up had changed since those previous Sub-Q & Zoundhaus days. This past Saturday Night I got to meet the leader of our local Hacker Lab, Eric, and he explained how Hacker Lab was desiged to be a workspace for BOTH students & professionals in this software & hardware space. As far as instruction and business principles, their instruction includes design & business development, educational courses for all ages and also promotes a "Community Mentorship" for those individuals who are running with a great idea for software or hardware or gaming and seeking to develop a startup-plan.THE LOWDOWNHacker Lab is a great place people to come and give their idea the potential to become a business. "It has been a while! Two trips later and I was elated to see the Manager that has been there for years and so glad to see my new friends Jocelyn, Dante, Juan, and Kye! I have been going to Bobs for over 20 years and there has been a drastic improvement in the scenery, the staff, the menu, and the beautiful friendly customer service provided by the group of our younger generation. The diversity was well received and the food is still awesome! The juiciness of the burger and the availability of options. See you soon!"
"Attended a wedding here a few months back. It rained the day of the wedding so they had to move it inside. The lodge itself is old & some would say a bit outdated but it is still a beautiful venue. I guess they offer packages for wedding guests to be able to stay overnight but I opted to stay in the next town over, Auburn, where there's more options for things to do & places to eat."
"Such a classy place to have an event! We celebrated my grandmother's 90th birthday here! It was an amazing event and we had over 250 people in attendance. The facilities here were very clean and the staff was great. There was a bar host and food. We had salad, garlic mashed potatoes, salmon and tri-tip. Everything was cooked perfectly! I was especially impressed by the salmon. Usually when Salmon is mass produced it is usually not that great, however they did a great job! The bartender Port great drinks! The outside back of the facility had a perfect backdrop for family pictures! That parking lot was huge and had plenty of space for all of our cars!I would definitely use this once again!"
"Update: Folsom Parks and Rec and the community center office both have the same number listed.Folsom Parks and Rec is actually located at 48 Natoma St. even though their social media page and the general search and their website say it's 50 Natoma St.There's Plenty of parking, and it's a nice area. But it is very confusing and I wish that there is some thing done to fix it ."
"We attended the 22nd Annual Polish Festival at this hall and we had a lot of fun. The event is free to the public, and is filled with various vendors selling food, drink, crafts, and jewelry. The entertainment consisted of traditional folk music and dancing, a raffle, a kids area, and more. The hall itself is a two-room venue (upstairs and downstairs) in Old Roseville with 'okay' parking. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning made the muggy early September afternoon even more taxing. We were completely sapped of all of our energy in just a few hours.Good times, though! Here's hoping the were able to raise a good amount of funds for their elevator. Check out the event the next time it rolls around (and be sure to bring cash)!"
"My friend had a wedding here and the venue is very natural, rustic, and beautiful. In the middle of September, the spacious lawn are was still green but the river/ creek was black and stagnant though kids were still playing in it. The lights made the place at night magical and there were hammocks hung all along the river. The grounds and cabins look well maintained and the place exudes relaxation and serenity. It would be a great place for a simple wedding, family get togethers, weekend of camping and yoga. It's about a 40 minute drive from Placerville with the last ten minutes going down a sketchy dirt road that's narrow and full of bumps. The grounds itself is flat but to get there from the parking lot is dusty and steep and rocky. Come prepared!"
"Definitely worth a stop. Best coffees and teas I've ever had. Everything was delicious. There was a nice assortment of yummy fresh baked goods. Inside the cafe there's plenty of seating to enjoy your refreshments. The outdoor patio is huge with lots of room to stretch your legs or sit and enjoy the river view. This would be a great location for a wedding or party. There is a raised stage outdoors. Lot of convenient parking. Interestingly, the cafe has an extensive collection of vinyl records for sale. A fun place to stop. They also have an Airbnb in the back that is beautiful. Definitely coming back"
"This place is great! Attended an event with friends. The staff are friendly and helpful. The space is ample. We heard a great band. Best of all was the food - in true Italian fashion you will not go hungry!!"
"Farm to table this place does it right. The menu changes as the seasons change. The vegetables are fresh and seasoned to perfection. The selection of proteins are organic plump without steroids. Lemon chicken with fresh seasonal vegetables was sautéed with herbs moist and juicy. The capers were not over whelming with a pinch of pepper and tossed with lemon. Coconut pineapple cake was moist with a light cream cheese frosting. As my fork dipped densely into perfection my mouth watered with anticipation. This is definately a go to for dinner. It's not cheap as eating cleanly organicly never is but it is well worth the price."
"Way out there in Manteca this is a decent hall with lots of space and clean bathrooms. They also have a bar area. Manteca is crazy hot or crazy cold and so far from the bay but this place has AC and the day we went to our family event it was 107 degrees so if it wouldn't have had the AC I would have left fast! Had a good time and everything went smooth."
"Our 1st time visiting the winery & had a great time there. The tasting room is inside the barn that's decorated in a wooden farmhouse style that you feel very comfortable in. $25 for wine tasting & you get to try 4 wines. We also ordered some crackers, cheese & hummus thinking they will come out in bowls or plates but they all came out in store packages instead. Our server, Katie explained that they don't really prepare food there. The snacks went pretty well with the wine Katie recommended for us. She's a doll!!! You can bring your own snacks there, they don't mind. We also went for a walk outside & the place is gorgeous! I can sit there relaxing & sipping wine all day long..."
"I came here to visit May's daughter's soap booth. It was the Fall Craft & Food Fair. She started a business making soap and selling it. They are really cute. The event was held here and I think they do like 3 or 4 of these pop ups a year. The next one will be a Christmas one I believe. We got here later and found a parking spot right up front. They had several food trucks in the lot. We had to stop and get Hawaiian shaved ice. Yum. The gym had several vendors selling their products. We met May inside at her daughter's soap stand. It was nice and they had a lot of people supporting the event."
"We recently used this venue for a memorial service for our Mom. The venue has been through many recent updates and looks great! The staff was extremely helpful and also very kind, each and every person we worked with went above and beyond in helping make our celebration a reality. The place was equipped with tables and chiavari chairs they also have many add on services for sound, lighting decorations and so much more. There was a sanitizing station right in the lobby which included disposable masks, reminder signs and hand sanitizer. The possibilities are endless with this venue I encourage you to check it out if you are looking for a place to have an event. Another huge thank you to the entire staff."
"Food was served nice and hot, the burger buns were burned to a perfection. The asadero fries were great. The service was spot on. The bartender was courteous and quick. The kitchen crew went out of their way to make us some fresh pico de gallo.......these folks really have a great vibe with the entire place. Plenty of TV and games to watch with music."
"We got to be VIP visitors on the Placer Vintners weekend. Lovely experience. We tasted a full list of wine and enjoyed talking with the winemaker. Love the old building and friendly atmosphere. We joined the wine club. Can't wait to go back for music on a Friday night."
