Margaret L. "My husband and I were in Sac for Valentine's Day weekend and decided to try this spot out. Menu and photos looked really nice. But I assume because it was Valentine's Day weekend we can only reserve for their Valentine's Day Dinner. So we got there and got sat at the bar. We did a 5 course meal. What did we think? So my husband got the lamb shank & I got the scallops. The salad was amazing. The asparagus soup was great too! The lamb shank was good meat and size wise, I feel it would've been nice to have more of the soup with it. The scallops I was really disappointed with. It was awfully too salty, like they drenched salt on it like crazy and added capers which made it more salty. They gave 4 pieces which were great in size. Added baby bokchoy which was great also, but the amount of salt I capers just ruined it.Would we consider trying it out again? Possibly, but for sure not getting the scallops. For the amount my husband paid for which was about $350 for the 2 of us, I honestly didn't think the food matched the price. Maybe other people have better experiences and I honestly hope they do. We just didn't. Cute atmosphere great customer service, just the food didn't make sense for the amount we paid for."

Chelle K. "We went to Midgely's Public House on December 23rd to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is located in Lincoln Village in Stockton and the entire area was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I booked a reservation through Open Table and check-in was simple and easy. The lady who checked us in also wished us a Happy Anniversary which was nice! The hostess took us to a table that wasn't clean, but we stood by waiting while she quickly bussed and cleaned it. This was a little strange since the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of booths and tables available. Our server, was great - very attentive and friendly. My husband and I ordered a dozen oysters which were superb, flavorful and good sized. I had a Bailey's coffee and my husband ordered a crisp Savignon Blanc. We shared a French Onion soup (perfection) and each ordered the house ribeye steaks which were nicely done. For dessert, we split a creme brulee which was delicious. We had a great time and will definitely be back. The Happy Hour menu and specials looked pretty good and we're excited to try it!"

Arnel E. "Our second time here. This dine-in was for Sacramento's Dine Downtown 2025. Street parking wasn't a challenge this Friday afternoon before 5 pm.The place was empty when we got seated around 4:30. Definitely lit for dinner in a bar vibe. Told our host and server that we were there for Sac's DD and requested for the cocktail & drinks menu with the event's sheet menu.I opted for the wine pairing while my wife got her usual espresso based libation (Bourbon Creme Espresso). Our server (Nikki) got the gist that we would be getting all the choices for the pre-fixe 3-course.Course 1: Smoked Oyster Green Salad and Ahi Tuna Tartare. Paired with Chardonnay Course 2: Pernil Pork Cheeks and Pistachio Crusted Lamb.Paired with ChiantiCourse 3: Fried Apple Pie and S'more's Lava Cake. Paired with Port wine. Food was good and wife liked the cocktail. I thought the pairing could've been better. Service was topnotch. Our server was friendly and engaging. The management also checked on us every now and then which was nice."

Jonathan P. "It was fine. The restaurant is beautifully designed, but the noise level is way too high--odd for a place that looks this refined. The food was okay--very salt-forward, with small portions. The glazed beef dish was extremely sweet and surprisingly chewy. The staff was kind, the ambiance was lovely, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. (The drinks. Not the food.)"

Jeanne L. "Experienced this tonight, greeted by great customer service and white linen tables. Every staff member was very friendly and checking on you, offering to replace your plate with a clean one. Karin was very hospitable making sure our waters were filled and clearing plates and providing clean plates The meats were all delicious with one exception that the pork chop was a little dry. The rest of the other meats made up for that. Love the Picanha was very delicious and flavorful. Bife the Ancho...omg! The best of them all! Hack Lamb is good. The bar had a lot of variety. They have the chimichurri readily available at the bar whereas other Brazilian places you have to ask for it and they just give you a very tiny amount of it. Two different types of chimichurri, one of them being mango. Check out the wine wall when you go! Considering it was grand opening for them yesterday, they did a great job! I would recommend everyone to try it. Being greeted by constant smiles from the servers to wait staff also makes a restaurant successful"

Gisele X. "For most people, I'd say Back Forty should earn 5 stars. I'm neurodivergent, have a trait, HSP. I process scents and tastes (and sounds and lights) more deeply than most. And I greatly dislike any smoked food. I skipped tri tip because they smoke it. I opted for prime rib. Turns out, it's smoked, too. Or, it has a strong flavor of it. It bothers me a lot. So for that, I'm probably not going to return. However, the building is super fun to enter, inside I like it is nicely lit and decorated. Frances, she was great. The young man answering the phone doesn't have a clue about the menu. When I arrived, there were way too many staff and I'm wondering if any besides the lead really know the menu (weights and how cooked). Not same standards I was raised with and I'm not that old! My recommendation to the company is to place the weights of meat portions on the menu. And mark how it's prepared (smoked, smoke flavoring added, grilled) and cook temperatures available (rare, medium, medium rare, etc) because your employees don't have a clue. The price for my 8 oz prime rib, 2 sides, and bread was quite fair, $23 or so. Bummed that reviews say cornbread isn't good. Frances hinted it's not great, so I said surprise me (I didn't want white bread). The banana bread (no nuts) was delicious but my cornbread craving can never be satiated enough. lol! I loved the fried okra."

Janelle M. "I came to Fogo de Chao for my friendsBirthday dinner. I never even knew this place was here, but come to find out they recently opened. We walked in and since my friend had reservations we were greeted and immediately seated. The hostess explained the drink menu and let us know that our waitress will explain the who process of the Brazilian steakhouse . We all went with the AYCE dinner for $71 and when I tell you it is well worth it is well worth it. We started at the salad bar which is not your average salad bar it is full of high quality meats and cheeses, roasted vegetables fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade soups. Now, when it comes to the meats baby the meats are meating. I got bottom sirloin, top sirloin, lamb chops, bacon wrapped chicken thigh, filet etc... They have an all day cocktail menu and the drinks are amazing. The have a limited, but nice selection of desserts as well. This is a wonderful addition to Roseville and I will be back because now I have to try out their brunch which is Friday-Sunday. The dining area is really nice and intimate with the perfect lighting and there is plenty of seating. The service is absolutely top notch and for the to have just opened they are doing a fantastic job."

Leslie O. "Big Boss is THE Boss of the Tri Tip Sammie and All-Beef Polish Dogs! The service was fantastic. I was greeted by a very welcoming gentlemen, served my drink promptly (cherry limeade which was perfectly flavored), and given a well packaged and hot Tri-Tip Dip and Denmark Dog. Both were AMAZING! I wanted more Remy sauce bc it's SOOOOO good. All the sauces and toppings are used to build flavor - not cover. Do not miss Big Boss Cafe!"

Connor L. "Sometimes you need food adventures, and sometimes you need consistent comfort foods. For me, Chinese is always the go-to and the West Sac Teriyaki Madness never disappoints. The staff are always super friendly and get your order out quick usually. The prices aren't bad and the portions sizes are always hefty. The food itself is always consistent in flavor and has the sauce you need. My personal favorite is the spicy orange chicken with noodles If want quick consistent takeout and friendly service, this spot doesn't miss."

Amy O. "I had a pretty great experience here, honestly! My son and I were shopping and decided to get a quick snack before dinner and so enter teriyaki madness! I always say that I have to do it for Yelp!Since it was just a snack before dinner, we decided to get the junior order of the chicken Katsu with rice and make it a meal so we could have the edamame to share. The restaurant was very busy with online orders so I will say we did have to wait over 20 minutes for our food. Considering they are a new restaurant and online orders are very popular right now. I would say that is reasonable. I would also guess that as they get into their groove, that Weight time will absolutely decrease. My son and I ate in our car outside of the restaurant because we were starving . They seemed pretty busy with walk-ins too! The food was super tasty. Chicken was crispy and just extremely flavorful. The dark meat chicken was cooked wonderfully. The chicken to rice ratio was more chicken than rice, but that's pretty par for the course at a restaurant. I liked that you have three different sizes of meals to order from. The cashier at the register actually made a recommendation to get the meal versus the dish with a side, to save money and still get the same items so that was super cool of her .We'll definitely try this place again"

Melissa G. "Sutter Street Steakhouse is pure opulence! My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner, and the experience was perfect from start to finish. We came in with a reservation and were seated without a wait. After seating us, the hostess handed us a card that was signed by all the staff, wishing us a happy anniversary. What a sweet gesture! Our menus were also personalized to celebrate our first anniversary too. Sutter Street Steakhouse offers an intimate dining experience, and it was a romantic place to enjoy a steak dinner. I ordered the petite filet special, which came with a 6 ounce steak, farmer greens, and mushroom jus. I requested a loaded baked potato instead of the croquettes, and everything arrived on point! The steak was one of the best I've ever had, and the melted cheese on top added a delightful richness to the meal. Our server surprised us with a complementary dessert, and I appreciate it all the attention to detail which made our anniversary extra special."

Priscilla C. "We came here for a group of 6 for Valentine's Day so they had a prefixe menu with a couple of choices of entrees to choose from. I caved and ate too much of the bread basket! The bread was good. It was warm and with the butter balls, I couldn't help it. As far as the rest of the evening, I mostlyI went with all seafood choices. The prawns were delicious. Super flavorful and so fresh and tender. I heard the filot minon was also really good and cooked to perfection the way you ask for it. The scallops were so fresh and also cooked to perfection. I think this restaurant does really well with that part. They don't overcook the meats and seafood. Often times, it's really hard to get a filey minon right and even seafood so I really appreciated this part. The service was great and the server was attentive and always checking in with us. I can only vouch for this particular V day meal. I'm not sure if they're always this consistent. Cute vibes here for dates."

Hilda A. "I hadn't been here since before Covid and I was excited to go back for a birthday dinner. They were great before, and that's what I was expecting. Well, it's not what I got. The service was great, and the wait was long, which is expected. We didn't get a show like the ones they had before even though we had a large party. The food was not consistent. The bacon rice had way too much seasoning, the lobster had a very off taste, so I didn't eat it, as to not get sick. The sodas also had an off taste like the fountain machine hadn't been cleaned properly. On the other hand, the soup, veggies, shrimp and steaks were great! The steaks were so good, they just melted in your mouth. The place also needed a good cleaning, the restrooms were dirty and the restaurant floors were all quite slippery.I hope this place figures things out, because they really used to be so good!"
