"We tried the Cornerstone Cafe & Bar (J Street) for lunch yesterday. This was our first experience eating there. It was lunch time but not busy ... maybe 8 other folks having lunch. My hunch is business picks up significantly in the evening. Nice, but low key, bar atmosphere. Service was very good.Our order consisted of their soup of the day and two salads. The soup was Beef Vegetable. A little short on beef but hardy and good ... house made. I also enjoyed my Shrimp Louie - Bed of fresh greens topped with bay shrimp, avocado, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumber slices and paprika. Generous amount of tasty shrimp.The other salad was Tuna. It too included a bed of fresh greens with hardboiled egg, tomato and cucumber slices and topped with homemade tuna salad.Very reasonable prices. This was a good experience"

"Lotta potential and I will definitely come back. I tried a lot of their beers the second time I went. The employees have to reset your beer card every few drinks in order to check that we aren't drinking irresponsibly. That's probably a good idea. Some advice in regard to the card recharging thing. I think it's probably better to go when it's not as busy. The employees eventually couldn't cover us when we needed recharging. They were busy w entertaining the folks not concerned w the actual taps (food shots ect). Nobody was at the pay counter to renew the cards as the night went on. No big. I think the place is growing and those things work themselves out. Overall I see this catching on and hopefully growing to up to where I live. Till then I'm going to keep checking this place out. They are right by the movie theater. The theater has a bar too. So I see a mini crawl in the works."

"We came here to watch the Unicorn Friday night football game that was broadcast on Peacock so that other places I called would not be showing the game. I try to eat healthy so the menu was a bit of a challenge but that is on me. I did look at the menu ahead of time and was happy that they had 2 non-alcoholic beer choices, mocktails and soft drinks. When the game started they also turned up the sound so that we could see the game on the many many TV's but could also hear it too.The waitstaff closed out ticket without asking but were happy to open a new one once we flagged them down to order more drinks. They were pleasant and helpful through the night. The inside dining space is small so it can get crowded but there is an outside area also."

The restaurant wasn't too busy and we were seated right away next to the huge bar. Nice decor and ambiance inside. We placed our orders for the Grilled Pork Chop w/ Fried Rice and their Garlic Noodles w/ Shaken Beef. Portions were generous. Customer service was A+, our server's shift was over and left and the bartender took over and refilled our drinks w/o us asking. He also took care of us when came time to pay the bill.I did not know this place existed in the Natomas area. "So I guess I haven't this place before. If you are a night-owl, then you need to check this place out. They are open pretty late, which is a huge plus for me, especially since I get out late from work. Hubby will ask me what's for dinner, and I will sometimes tell him Pho! So although their pho isn't necessarily my number one go to, it is the best late at night and it really hits "the spot", so to speak. I also really like the shrimp rolls as my appetizer, hubby really enjoys the angel wings.The place can be pretty busy since it is one of the few restaurants open super late. The place has a couple of TV's where you can watch music videos or sports. Late at night there seems to be only 1 server/cashier, so be patient. These guys aren't fast food.I come here quite frequently, and will continue since they are the only late night pho option."

"Our first time here a few weeks ago when my sister and her family were all visiting from Ohio for the week. We reserved 2 lanes side by side and had the best of times bowling and enojoying the clean and friendly environment at FLB. The bowling place overall is well kept and in a very organized manner. The staff very friendly and welcoming and the entire experience was truly never ending fun filled with smiles galore and laughter with cheers as we bowled and had fun with the music as well. Love that the music wasn't too loud. Some places the music is so loud you need to yell in order to hear one another however FLB had the music just loud enough to enjoy and still be able to talk to one another and hear one another. Plenty of parking as well which is a nice plus. The only draw back to this bowling place is as soon as the hour or 2 hour time frame in our case is up the score board ends as well. We were not able to finish our last turn for 2 of us to get our final scores. Just about 2 to 3 minutes or so and we would have been able to finish the game. Would prefer if we could pay by how many rounds we could play instead of per hour so that we could complete each round. We were laughing and trying our fastest to finish up before the clock reached the final second hour however just missed it by a few minutes! Still was a funtastic overall experience and we are surely going to be return bowlers!"

They really should get 3.5 stars (it's a 5 star place but) because they advertise breakfast and this is the SECOND time I've brought guests in and they are out of menu items. Seriously out of waffles? I can't remember what they didn't have last time (same guests) but it's embarrassing to brag about a place and they are still out of things. You drive inside the shopping center and they're located in the inside nearest West Capitol Avenue. And looking for a parking spot was a bit of a nightmare (especially during meal times). Good thing I had a handicapped pass which allowed me to park in the 15 minutes zones. The others in our group weren't that lucky.But the place was very nice and cozy for a sports bar. A bit dark, but the place was very clean. In the center was the bar and around it were dining tables (or cubicles that could probably fit 3 to 4 people - more if they were skinnier). The service was really good! We were greeted the moment we arrived and our drink orders were immediately taken. There was around twelve in our party, but that didn't hinder the speed of the service.The food was also great. Our boss ordered Deep Fried Oreos and everyone said it tasted really good - I had to abstain because of my doctor's orders to stay away from sweets. But my main order, a Mushroom Swiss Burger was really good! And the side of french fries was really commendable! Plus the price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.If you are in the area, you should give Kick 'N Mule a try..."

"I love this pool spot, and I'm so happy I found it considering they're newly opened! I don't play pool, but my boyfriend and his cousins loves to. I literally just come here for their brew area. I love that they have so many choices of beer to pick from, and they let you sample as well. I got the chance to meet Rose and the other server, and they were awesome. They're very friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to.My boyfriend and his cousins love love love coming here. We've been back here twice. They say compared to other billiards, this spot is a lot cleaner and more fun. We usually stay here for about 4 hours or until they close. They have a machine you can play music off of using an app as well as game machines. For their food menu, we've tried their chicken bites, chicken wings, French fries, and onion rings. I believe they're still expanding their menu, but everything that we ordered was delicious. It's even more delicious when you're getting buzzed off beer and shooting pool. I'd highly recommend this pool spot to anyone who enjoys playing pool or accompanying people who do. Give this spot a try and you won't regret it :)"

"I was excited to try the soup flight! I drove up from Stockton to meet up with my amiga. We both got the same soup flight which was carne en su jugo, chicken pozole and albondigas. We ordered surf and turf tacos as well. Overall the soups are tasty, but we were served at least ten if not 15 minutes apart and we ordered the same exact thing! My soups were all at different temperatures, with one of them tasting almost cold... it was VERY lukewarm. We did have some great pinwheels to enjoy during our wait but sheez! Then the taco.... well I could taste no surf with the turf. It was tasty but where they hid the shrimp... I couldn't tell. I should have taken a picture but believe me they can do better.Then we didn't ask for an itemized check. Please review your check! I had overheard another table telling someone about a $3 overcharge. I should have been nosier. What we found out was that they charged us $3 more for each soup flight than what is advertised on their menu. The waitress apologized and said they will change the menus "soon". She knew of the error but didn't bring an itemized check and didn't say anything until after my friend paid. I know it was just $6 but ... if you know it's an issue (that was what the other table was warning the others about I bet) then why wasn't anything said?The wait, the cold soup and the upcharge took a star off. The flavors were great and could have been better. That taco would have tasted great if it had visible shrimp. Maybe next time."
