"Had a downright enjoyable visit last week at Brew Masters. When I arrived it was just myself and the two staff members at the counter. They could not have been more accomodating and friendly. I let them know that Jessica had responded to an email inquiry about hanging out and using their Wifi while I ate dinner, and right away I was directed to the most comfortable seating area which held overstuffed couches and chairs (freaking awesome). I plugged right in and was treated to a sample of blond ale, which was a terrific recommendation. After about 20 minutes the crowd started to filter in and I'm pretty sure every single person was recognized. It was awesome. I ordered the chicken tacos special and they were terrific. Can't wait try one of their sandwiches and soup. It's always a little intimidating trying out small town establishments when you aren't a true local. But that night, I sure felt like one!***Make sure to check out when they are open because the hours are limited."
"TL;DR very good, could be better, but you won't complain about your food.Another place that had been on my list of places to try that happened to fall into place this past weekend. The wife wanted to see this long black hard engine names Big Boy in DT Roseville so off we went. We came hungry so went for it.....Menage Tois or whatever 3 onion burger thing, fish & chips, and the French dip.We also got 4 different beers.I don't know if we've been fein'in for beer but I haven't had this good of a beer experience in a long time. I think the last time was Moksa when every beer I tried was great. We got the Broken Pieces (Pils), Rooted With (Belgian Blonde), Lidsla Moucha (Amber), and the Heavy Robes (Barleywine)...all were great.I was most excited to try their burgers as there is a local celebrity in the Roseville area named Bobby who is like some sort of Burger phenom and this place is his favorite....I gotta say, as far as the burger itself (the meat) it was probably one of the best I've had in my life. It was actually worth the hype. The type of burger I got was forgettable....the onion wasn't really oniony and the kitchen failed to spread the horseradish correctly so the middle was all horseradish and the edges had none....but the burger itself was awesome.Seeing as how we just had the fish and chips from The Boxing Donkey, in comparison this one is worse. The fish was super buttery, but significantly smaller in portion. It probably wouldn't fill you up, but ok none the less. My wife liked the tartar sauce. The French Dip was pretty tasty. The ju was good and actually had flavor instead of just tasting like salty brown water. My wife enjoyed the French Dip mostly plain without dipping into the ju so that should tell you something.Overall the food was pretty good, I feel like the portions could be better....I actually thought we would end up with leftovers but our fat asses ate all three of the entrees. The fries were forgettable, duck fat or not and service could have been a bit better, but it was a busy day so I'm not going to complain too much about it.Overall good experience and would come back again"
"Drytown Club was kickin' butt again this past weekend. Leather Souls featuring Allen Frank, Allen Kreutzer, Rick Arnold and Phil (Hicks?) were on fire. Why Drytown club isn't on more people's radar for a fun blues setting just escapes me. Other pros would do well to perform here. Here's video proof:http://www.youtube.com/user/NevadaDuke#p/a/u/0/x9RD77dHgiohttp://www.youtube.com/user/NevadaDuke#p/a/u/1/uFXGaFDFpq0"
"Great place to be and have a drink! Sylvia runs the bar and she is on point and always takes care of her customers! Safe and fun place to be. It is definitely a pro right leaning establishment but it doesn't matter if you're not because everyone is treated well. Go have a drink, play some pool, or beer pong and relax! Definitely love going here"
"We came to BonnLair celebrating the end of a long week. Had a couple pints and tried the Shepard's pie. One full serving was perfect for two and accompanied a couple beers perfectly. BonnLair is always a great place to have a relaxing evening."
"We stopped here for breakfast and were not disappointed. The waitress was very friendly and led us to the patio where we wanted to sit. Lovely environment with tons of plants. I ordered an omelette and my husband ordered eggs with corn beef hash. Both were huge and delicious. We would definitely stop here again if we're in the area."
"I like this place a lot so I'm going to do my best to give my thoughts! Tipsy Putt is located next to Golden One area and across from Suaced. It's a great spot for a date night, hanging with a group of friends, kicking after an event downtown or just tired of the same old routine. The fun beings when you walk downstairs after a quick check of your id. The layout is like an inside park for adults. They have miniature golf, cornhole and duffleboard as well as various other games. They have TVs so you don't miss the Kings getting their butt kick. Haha jk They have tons of food options. Please try the nachos! Tons of beers on tap. My girlfriend and I were having our once a week walk downtown when we stumbled upon the pub. I had just finishing smoking because I had a busy week and wanted to relax on our walk. We were planing to go to Tiger because we like the vibe there as well but my girlfriend spotted Tipsy Putt. I was like why not! Once we walked in we were surprised with an invite to see the details put into the pub. After, a nice cocktail and meeting some of the staff we played a game of miniature golf. The staff saw we were having date night and invited us into their hidden Speakeasy. Wow the Speakeasy is a whole vibe. Upscale! Top notch drinks! Romantic! and a great change of pace. We were lucky! The bartender shared next time check their social media for the code of the day! Thank you for bringing another adult fun, relaxing and cool spot to downtown. #tipsyPutt"
"Shelby takes wonderful care of us. The coveted patio makes for a lovely evening. Their Knots are sooo tasty. Oh, and the Hawaiian Shrimp are like I am in the islands."
"We came here a couple years ago when it was a different restaurant. I'm glad it changed! A cozy but super spacious pub with a limited menu. But when you do it all right, who needs filler options? We started with the pretzel which was not your typical pretzel appetizer. It almost seemed deep fried. Crunchy on the outside and sweet and chewy on the inside. It was a table favorite. The mustard was a little sweet for my taste but the cheese sauce was better than any where else. The fries were delicious and beer battered- can't go wrong there. My husband got the cottage pie which was SO good I wished I ordered it too. Honestly the best way to describe it is a warm hug with tons of flavor. I got the pub burger, which I may pass on next time. The flavor was good and it was cooked perfectly. It was just a little too big to get a good bite which made it kind of sloppy. I'll opt for the fish and chips next time. The London Boy cocktail was so refreshing it was dangerous. Service was impeccably friendly and attentive. We love the proud display of inclusivity as soon as you walk in the door. A welcome breath of fresh air in these hostile times. A reminder to be kind. We can't wait to return!"
"Our boss bought us lunch today and wow it was so yummy.....I had the mushroom sandwich with portabella mushroom omg it was so delicious I hear it's under new ownership but let me tell you it isn't skipping a beat..:.. go enjoy"
"Great view and very friendly staff. All the wines we tasted were great. They also brew their own beer which my husband really enjoyed."
"What a cool little hole in the wall! It's kind of an average bar, but add a Nintendo Wii and an insanely friendly bartender and you have Champs! It's kind of off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. They only serve beer and some wine, so this place isn't for everyone. They have a pool table and digital jukebox and extremely clean restrooms. This is the type of place that you WANT to become a regular at because it is so friendly."

We hadn't been here in a couple years and I forgot how GOOD it is. I definitely recommend making a reservation as they fill up quickly during peak hours. The inside is a welcome change from normal industrial modern restaurants. It boasts more of a cozy pub feel but it bursting with laughter and conversation from guests. We got the croquettes to start which were melt in your mouth delicious. The craftsman sandwich was crunchy and flavorful at a great price point. The fries are just insane. Like almost criminal. Hands down best French fries you'll get any where. We have been talking about them ever since. Their cocktail and beer list were both excellent. Our server was super friendly, attentive, and even had a great conversation with our 7 year old which made him feel extra special. They do have a kids menu which makes for a wonderful family night out that both kids and adults can enjoy. We can't wait to come back!

This is a great, easy going joint right on Hwy 49 just south of Plymouth. There is a fire pit out back, a porch, and friendly locals. The DogHouse blues band (led by the owner, Allen) plays 2 sets starting at 4:20 every Sunday, and it is consistently a rockin' good time. Also consistent (unfortunately) is the woman tending bar. If you need service, look for the only miserable & unfriendly face there. This is your bartender. She is a champion at avoiding eye contact, and if she acknowledges you at all, it will be to growl out how much you owe her.Overall, a great bar for locals and wanderers alike.

Headed to Slingshots this past weekend. Gotta admit, my friends and I really enjoyed ourselves. Drink specials were OFF THE HOOK! For those who can't stand the political decorations....just leave. No one is forcing you to enjoy your time there. I personally enjoyed it.

As a visitor, I felt very welcomed at both the diner AND the bar side.Diner- Sweet server that took our order and brought our dishes. I am a chili lover and they have a marvelous BEEF AND BEANS that is filling and happy making even though it's a warm 90 degrees outside!Bar- A real LOCAL bar! I think we were the odd one here but everyone knew everyone here and best of all, they bring their DOGS! Bartender super friendly and they have a full bar. 4 beers on tap. Pool tables. There is an outdoor bar and seating area. There are events on different nights.A real slice of the surrounding area. Love love love.

Big fan of Tipsy Putt! I've gone there so many times to play putt-putt, but this was my first time actually having one of their cocktails. Not being a fan of beer/cider, I loved how they had a separate cocktail menu. I ordered the Blue Hawaiian and thought it was very good! I typically love fruity cocktails with either rum or vodka so it was an easy choice for me. Just the right amount of alcohol as well. Tipsy Putt is the perfect spot to stop for a quick drink before a Kings game or dinner or even if you're looking for an activity that happens to have a food/drink menu. The service is always great as well.

"Lovely bar to go enjoy beverages privately or on a date just to enjoy each other. I had a taste for a margarita of all things and it was great. Thank you shakers."
"This is definitely my go to spot... So clean and so much fun. The prices are reasonable and the drinks are delicious. Bartenders are always friendly and courteous... They have karaoke, pool, darts, 12 large screen TVs, DJs, and live bands.Jennifer, Rhona, Jaun, Amanda, Jen are all capable bartenders...Givingexcellent service!"
"This place is so cool. You make you reservations and get to see a live band while you eat. The service was quick and super friendly. One side is the big bar area and the other side of the building is a sit down and eat with live music. The food was like going to a high class restaurant the mushroom soup which is vegan was so good. I love meats but the soup was great also had a patty melt loaded with onions and local beef and a huge fresh hummus dip.. yum yum"
"If you know Colfax, CA then you know it's a tiny town on the way to or from Tahoe. It's cute, not a ton going on there. If you're adventurous you'll come upon Done N Dash. A beautiful restaurant with a bar that I'd like for my dining room table. That wood! Story for another time, back to my review.ALL of the staff are friendly, stylish and upbeat. The ambiance is delightful. Modern, gorgeous space.I'd suggest having a restaurant consultant or someone in the hospitality biz come and look at the space- it's a bit dis-jointed and needs some continuity. The food! The glorious food.My husband and I ordered the Prime Rib. It was the star of the show. Flavorful with or without the umami filled au jus and creamy horseradish. On its own, it was better Prime Rib than we found in the Bay Area for less than 1/3 of the price. Tasty sides of mashed and asparagus too!My Mom-in-love had the chicken sando and potato salad- huge portions and the next day I had 1/4 of the sandwich and some potato salad. It was dyne-o-mite!Overall this establishment is a winner! Not too hard on the wallet either!"
"A traditional public house! Beer on draft, pub food, cozy nooks to sit in, kids and dogs on the patio, and friendly staff.Paul and I had our first date here almost 5 years ago (aww) and now we take our doggie and little niece to enjoy a respite from the bustling Christmas events in the street. The vibe inside is warm and welcoming, dark woods and curtains in the windows. Outside seating is available and many bring their pooch with them. Order at the bar and the waitress will find you. You can get yourself some water at the jug by the front door while you wait. Nice space to sit in for a while, drink a beer, and enjoy your own or others company."
"Have No Fear! Beer & Gear!SITREPLocated on the main drag of the beautiful little Hamlet of Sutter Creek lies this delightful store that doubles as a pub. Or is it a pub doubling as a store? Hard to tell! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sutter-creek-provisions-sutter-creek?select=6K-bwHGM3ULcIWwz6aIAjw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wBut it continues the old fashioned traditions that greeted a tired gold miner or cowboys bringing in the herds. So be assured, as the old school sandwich board signage indicates, YOU GET BOTH! *Heehaw!*https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sutter-creek-provisions-sutter-creek?select=ghllwWqGIywIgR1Wo6liNQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wTHE SETUPThis is indeed a "provisioning" stop of yesteryear, where - when it comes to necessities anyways like food, alcohol, candy and the like - it's your one stop spot! Kinda like 7-Eleven if 7-Eleven actually carried a large variety of quality goods, ranging from craft beers, cheeses from around the world, sauces & breads & spices, etc. etc. etc.And come to think of it, I'm not aware of ANY convenience store (7-Eleven, Circle K, etc.) that is a tenth as cool as this spot."HEY YOGI! IS THAT A PICK-A-NICK BASKET?"If you find yourself in Sutter Creek during the day, and hankering for a late morning or an early afternoon romp with the family, Sutter Creek Provisions (SCP) is the place to collect your items to make a pretty remarkable pic, from the delicious food items to the wide variety of drinks should you prefer derivatives of the grains, the grapes or not.NIGHT TIME HOT SPOT!And in the evening, SCP is the social mecca of Sutter Creek, hosting outstanding bands and musical artists to their stage! And when that's not happening, they also do Karaoke.https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sutter-creek-provisions-sutter-creek?select=eNQk02HnCdZRgfFq8rVIOw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wMeanwhile, people can sip their brews and dance a bit if they have the hankering to do so, since SCP allows all of the above. And when you have great bartenders like these, it's impossible to be dissatisfied!https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sutter-creek-provisions-sutter-creek?select=uo99mY51mzS_t2wmHl6PlQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wTHE LOWDOWNBest place to just wander on in, knowing nothing about it because then the discoveries of all the things this spot is about, investigating all of it's nooks and crannies for that rare item, will be a lot more fun for you."
"This is the place to go for English pub-food or an English breakfast! I recently came on a weeknight with some friends, and were able to be seated without a reservation. The restaurant didn't seem too busy. Weekends however, are a different story- I have yet to have weekend brunch here, because the wait time is always over 50 minutes!Dinner items I tried:- Pimms cup: a classic cocktail, nice and refreshing- although they use lemon juice + sprite instead of ginger ale. I found that it was kind of missing the "spice" element that Pimms cup usually has.- Olallieberry linen: never heard of ollallieberry before this, but it's very similar to a blackberry. Very delicious twist on a white linen.- Shepherd's pie: really delicious and flavorful, topped with creamy mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.- Fried picklesOverall, love the theme/vibe, super fun. Service was also great- our waitress overheard us talking about a birthday at our table, and brought out a complimentary dessert + candle for the birthday girl."
"I loved that there was karaoke and drinks flowing. Head to the back and it's even bigger and lots of room for everyone! Glad my friend took me here! I can see coming back!!"
"We love to come here for the trivia and fight nights. They have themed trivia which makes it fun to engage and feel like you actually know stuff! The owner and staff are always super friendly. They have a good beer selection for my friends. I don't drink alcohol but the steak sandwich and the redneck sooshi are DELISH. I love how it's so close to my house in Rocklin.Add karaoke next!"
"Low Brau's brunch and happy hour is so underrated! The Standard at Brunch was only $12 for two eggs, a thick housemade sausage, thick toast with maple bacon jam *drools*, and extra crispy hash browns. Sheesh, this was a steal for the portions they were dishing out. The morning cocktails cost more than the meal itself, but definitely worth it for this breakfast. At Happy Hour, the German beers are $5 and the corn dogs with curry ketchup are a must! The fries were overcooked for me because I'm one of those people who like semi-soggy fries. For the quality and price, I really cannot complain. Excellent for any occasion."
"Five stars for Pangaea Bier Cafe accommodating our large group of 19 on short notice.Five stars for their great variety of beer and ciders.Five stars for their ability to get orders out quickly after ordering at the counter.4 stars for the food. $17 for my smallish Buffalo chicken salad that looked better than it tasted as the chicken was too salty. Others in our party liked their burger, tacos, nachos, chicken wings, and mac n cheese. But a few also thought their chicken was too salty. Overall, fun place for a casual hang out and really fun with a big group of friends. Biggest con is the lack of parking especially with Gunther's Ice Cream across the street. Staff are friendly and kept our tables clear of dishes."
"I've had this on my list of places to try for a while now but never made it out until today. The wife and I couldn't think of what to eat and we're watching The Best Food Review Show on that bastard Sonny was doing a fish and chips special. That made me remember about this place's Fish and Chips as it has been suggested multiple times on local community forums.I was expecting a complete shit show coming in on a Friday night at 6:30, but it was mostly empty. We sat at the bar and we're promptly served.Service in general was pretty quick but upon ordering the fish and chips we were warned of a 45 minute wait as the fryer was backed up....Considering the bar was more than half empty that's a bit concerning as most everything on the menu is fried or has a fried component....I couldn't even imagine if the place was packed.Either way though, I don't think we waited the full 45 minutes before the food came out and I have to say, it's easily the best fish and chips I've had in a VERY long time. The fish was nice and crunchy, thick, flaky, and moist.I don't know if the tartar sauce is house made but that shit was amazing. The fries were also very good. Not your normal fry....fresh cut, not frozen, well seasoned, but not shitty like In-N-Out fries. My only small gripe is it is a bit pricey by a few bucks on most of the food items, but all in all a pleasant experience."
"Neighborhood bar inhabited by more middle-age types than teeny boppers (although there's always a mix). Shuffleboard, two pool tables, jukebox, darts, pinball machine, full bar. Friendly crowd, decent place to hang out and relax."
"The Trax Taproom and Kitchen is a fun place to chill and to eat. I specifically went for the Open Mic Night on Mondays hosted by CJ Washington and Devin Wright for Motiv Local Live Music. Those two are my favorite local band. I was so impressed by everyone's singing and instrument playing abilities. No one had stage fright. They just confidently perform. Seth Kaminsky was also there to perform 2 new songs. Other singer-musicians included Nikki, Larry, Todd, Charlie, and more. David Albertson from my other favorite local band, The Albertson Duo, also can show up for Open Mic Night.Recommended by the owner, the Conductor Sliders are 2 mini cheeseburgers with arugula and paprika seasoned fries. Burgers were yummy and tender topped with melted cheese and grilled onions. The Trax tacos are fully loaded with chicken, pickled red onions, tomato chunks, and paprika crema wrapped in a cheese fried tortilla. You get 3 in an order.$1 off beer during Happy Hour 4-6 PM every day. Beer is served in 10 oz and 16 oz size glasses. Owner was kind enough to let me taste 2 beers before deciding on #25 Hemly Cider Pink Lady. You can also order a flight of beers for $14.I didn't see any dessert on the menu, but I spotted Flores gummy fruity candies for sale.I think I found my hangout spot! Check out Trax for excellent food and entertainment.MON 6-9 PM: Open Mic Night by Motiv Local Live MusicWED 6:30 PM: Trivia NightTHU 6-10 PM: Karaoke Dance Night"
"Justin the bartender made us feel welcome and at home. We ordered two non-alcoholic beers each, it was a great pit stop. I want to go back."
"Food and service were wonderful. I tried the fried cauliflower, which was crispy & flavorful, and the dipping sauce paired well with it. I also ordered the fish and chips, they give a large portion so you'd definitely be full and I was. Would be coming back to try other things on the menu."
"Love this place! Best fish n chips in Sacramento. Great drinks, AMAZING staff. Pick a seat, relax and enjoy. Not a hurried atmosphere at all. Discussions and friends happen here. Put your phone away and enjoy. Also of note: the Xango cheesecake, the cottage pie and the BURGERS! Don't miss this place, it's a total destination."
"Sutter Creek can feel a bit limited on food choices from the visitors viewpoint. A group of us have stay in this quaint town for years now as part of our fall wine stock up adventure. Needing a bite (before 8PM, most places close around that time) we heading to try Cavana's on a Sunday night. It was starting to get busy because on Sunday nights they play music bingo. I highly recommend grabbing some grub and a cocktail and buying a few cards. It was a blast and we won a could of gift cards for our next visit. Playing bingo you will need a table inside, if that is too loud then there are a few on the sidewalk out front.Salads, sandwiches and burgers are on the menu. Healthy size portions too. I went with a delicious patty melt grilled perfectly on a marbled rye bread. Two to three napkins messy, it was that juicy, so be prepared. They offer plenty of cocktails and several of the local wines. It has a bit of the school pub feel, and was more locals that night than tourists. So you know if the locals are there, that's were you should be. Limited street parking."
"Always good, great value, nice patio, great staff. We will always consider this a go to place. You can't go wrong if you go here for lunch or dinner. Great beer selection and yummy food.Hamburger " the DukeSausage SandwichStreet Tacos."
"I stopped here because I had not been to this Brewery before. The beer itself is quite nice. I had the Lazy Hazy, and it had a very Lush taste on the palate. If you're not a fan of hazy, I would definitely say not to get this one. When I go to a brewery I always keep an open mind when it comes to the food that is served and with the hatch chili burger it was okay the flavors were fighting each other especially with the Pickled jalapeno. The Hatch Chili the roasted lost some of its flavor because it was trying to combat not only the jalapeno but the aioli sauce on the burger. I think a little bit of salt would have been great to harmonize the flavors. The most amazing piece of this though is the servers behind the bar they have great energy are very quick about getting an order and make you feel at home at this establishment.I will definitely be coming back to try out the other beers as the one 22 oz I got made me a little happy ;-)"
