"Pizza is always good at this place. I am not from here but always stop by here for dinner on the way back from skiing. I wish we have Old Town Pizza is the Bay Area like San Jose or closer cities. There was a wait for table but it was worth it. Pizza came out quickly as well as other items like salads and drinks. The service was great and friendly. It is my stop over for dinner when we head to the Sierra for skiing."
"Moved to Sac from the Bay and it's been tough trying to find restaurants that make me say WOW!!! How unique or I'll be coming back.. etc. etc.11/21/24. Yayyy!!! Hubby's Birthday!!! No reservations and you can join the waitlist on arrival only. I don't usually wait, but we had already drove out 40 minutes in the rain and I had to do it for his birthday.I could already tell it's packed by just walking towards the door. Nice guy told us the wait for 2 was gona be 30-40 minutes, but only waited for 20. Nice! Our waiter was cool and friendly! Did my research before coming so, we were ready to order. //APPETIZERS:4/5 stars. Pastrami Reuben Egg Rolls $16+Shaved pastrami, swiss cheese, caraway, sauerkraut, whole grain mustard, with russian dressing.- Love the crispy-ness! I like the meaty taste, so I wished I tasted more pastrami. Slightly sour because of the sauerkraut. Maybe I'm so used to/enjoy filipino eggrolls that I wasn't into this egg roll as I would like to be. The russian dressing was, also, on the slight sour side. Wished the sauce was sweet since the egg rolls were already slightly sour. Still pretty delicious! The cheese and crispy-ness made up for it.5/5 stars. Pan Seared Scallops $26+Parsnip puree, green apple gravy, cranberry sauce, toasted pecans, and micro intensity green. - Yummmmmmmm buttery scallops and I can tell they put so much work on the sides. DELICIOUS!4/5 stars. Oyster Shooter $6+ eachPacific oyster, house made ponzu, sake, siracha, micro cilantro, and piece of lemon on the side of the cup. - Ordered 2. One with sake and the other without cause I am preggo lol. Not suppose to be eating oysters, but haven't had one in sooo looong, so I risked it for the biscuit lol. Clean and buttery oyster. Delish light house made ponzu. Wished it had more cilantro and does not need lemon because ponzu was good enough. They made it into a small cocktail-like drink to sip on which was awesome! Better than any other oyster shooter I've had in a long time. //ENTREES:5/5 stars. PB&J Burger $21+TCT Bacon Jam Fig Burger. Rib brisket chuck blend ground beef, bacon, fig jam, brie, arugula, mustard aioli. - Peanut butter and jelly... WHAAAAAAAAT?! WOW! Amazing. Who would have thought a peanut butter and jelly burger would be a hit?! We wanted some thing different for a change and this was the star of the show. No arugula. No big deal. Just being detailed. Juicy beef, crispy bread, semi-crispy thick cut bacon, and not-so-sour thick, juicy pickle LALALALOOOVE IT!!! Every thing combined just worked out to perfection! 4/5 stars. Braised Beef Short Rib $39+Beef short rib, red wine jus, butternut squash, and white polenta sauteed bloomsdale spinach, sorrel gremulata, vela dry jack. - Loved how the meat was super tender!!! Flavorful beefy taste and just melts in your mouth. Butternut squash sauce could use a gravy-like flavor to cut out a little bit of the fat from the beef and add more flavor over the white polenta. Would love to have more greens. Still DELICIOUS! 3/5. Caribbean Braised Pork Shank $38+Toasted basmati rice with mango and coconut, caribbean veloute, chayote mignonette.- Flavorful! Star of the show was the rice and the non-existent sauce. The pork shank was chewy and kinda dry. It should have been fall off the bone, juicy, and tender. The whole entire entree should have been smothered with that yummy sauce. It was alright! Would order again if they make adjustments. //DESSERTS:They had 2 desserts to choose from. I forgot to take a picture of the menu, so I wasn't sure if it was on there. Asked our waiter and he said 1) Brownie with caramel glaze and vanilla ice cream. 2) Pumpkin with some sort of custard. Birthday boy picked the brownie with ice cream and OH BOYYY!!! Delicious! Brownie has melted filling and outer crispy shell and the ice cream on top with a caramel glaze was soooooooo gooooooood! It was a PHENOMENAL experience!Would love to come back for drinks (when not preggo) and just endless orders of scallops and oyster shooters. Shout out to the whole staff here!!! woOhOo!!! Even though the 3 entrees took an hour to come out, they came to us to let us know. They talked to us for a bit to welcome us and thanked us for our support. Grateful for our waiter who helped me sing happy birthday to my hubby =) I LOVE THE VIBE HERE!!! ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC THEY PLAYED AND HOW SUPPORTIVE THE STAFF WAS TOWARDS EACH OTHER AND TO US!!! Team work definitely makes the dream work. HAPPY EAT'S YA'LL!!!"

"Posole is really good. We get it often Salsa is great!I like the self serve chips and salsa"
"Food was delicious! Service was amazing (despite being short staffed). My dad accidentally spilt my wine & our server got me a replacement, no questions asked, & it was topped off the ambiance reminds me of a repurposed home, it was cozy, but very open in the dining area."
"Great customer service, super clean dining and bar area, menu consistent with when I was here a few years ago. New owner, same cooks and wait staff. Diverse menu including various burgers, salmon sandwich, fish tacos, various salads including the chopped Cobb which was excellent. Fresh Romain, HB egg, avocado, grilled chicken, blue cheese. Delicious. Reasonably priced. Lots of craft beers and also alcohol free options and sodas. I was headed elsewhere which ended up being closed, so I remembered Broderick's. It was a great dinner with the best company."
"First off. Hopping atmosphere and friendly staff (Maria was our server). Second, when ordering extra crispy hash browns, she said they now can deep fry them... um, yes please! They came out super crispy and almost buttery in the middle. The chicken fried steak was traditional, with pounded meat and a GREAT crust. It was a bit tough, but very good. The gravy, however, is incredible. Definitely will be ordering biscuits and gravy next time. My husband got chile verde omelette and loved it. I will be back for sure. I need to try the Monte Cristo..."
"FED in Stockton is such a great find! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a modern, yet comfortable atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. The menu offers a variety of dishes, ranging from hearty comfort food to fresh, light options, all full of flavor with creative twists on classic favorites. The service is top-notch--friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great experience from start to finish. The vibe is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.Whether you're looking for a filling meal or just a quick bite, FED is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for sure!"
"A little charming gem in Amador City you must go to! It's such a cute and inviting venue you will appreciate. Sharing a few dishes is recommended so you can try different unique dishes prepared fresh and delicious. The staff is so friendly and courteous, you will feel right at home. This is the cozy romantic getaway you have been searching for, or just a fun brunch with your friends. Highly recommend!"
"Nice river front spot. Decent menu. Food is good, drinks were strong. Good service. Would definitely come back!"
"Every year we celebrate my BFF's birthday in a new town and a different eating establishment This past birthday was no different as we flew and drove to Taste, in Plymouth CA, in Amador County.. Here is my story:Not sure what other eating establishment they are in the area but Taste was certainly the right choice. Why? Because the food was excellent, the service was even better and the chef paid a visit to our table of 6. You will need reservations or you may end up waiting. Dining at the small bar is a real IF. Their menu is pre fixe with a couple selection and choices for your appetizer, entree and dessert. So, make your reservation and go dine there if you're in the area. Note Plymouth is about an hour's drive east from Sacramento. Oh, with a small corkage fee, you can bring you own bottle of wine(s), afterall you are in wine country"
"We came here to watch the Unicorn Friday night football game that was broadcast on Peacock so that other places I called would not be showing the game. I try to eat healthy so the menu was a bit of a challenge but that is on me. I did look at the menu ahead of time and was happy that they had 2 non-alcoholic beer choices, mocktails and soft drinks. When the game started they also turned up the sound so that we could see the game on the many many TV's but could also hear it too.The waitstaff closed out ticket without asking but were happy to open a new one once we flagged them down to order more drinks. They were pleasant and helpful through the night. The inside dining space is small so it can get crowded but there is an outside area also."
"Good food and reasonable prices. Huge dining area. This is the kind of diner I live for. Very homey and American. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. I can't wait to go back."

Sasha was an absolute gem and she made our visit fantastic. It was a last minute celebratory dinner, the place was busy but we didn't wait long to be seated or to receive our food. Everything tasted amazing, the beer was flowing, and the service was top notch.

Food is so good! First time here and we loved everything we ordered. We had the Beet Salad, scallops and braised beef. Service is excellent. Very fast and very friendly staff. Ambience - dark and cozy. Small spot but we got a table right away on a Friday evening.

Visited this place after an event an Old Elk Grove. They were about an hour away from closing so not very busy. This place seemed pretty chill and relaxed and wasn't sure if it was because of the time but didn't have any issue with it.Ordered the super burrito and the lovely wife went for the Quesadillas. Food came out quick and didn't have any issues with the quality. Staff were great and didn't have issues with ordering. They have seating on the inside and outside.Worth checking if you are looking for a decent Taqueria in old EG.

Great service, generous portion sizes, reasonably priced. Food was okay- I liked my husband's chicken picatta better than my eggplant parm.

One of the best burgers I've had. Had the Duck Burger which came with the cheese skirt and it was cooked perfectly. Garlic fries were well worth the upgrade. Place had a dive bar feel to it which reminded me of some of my favorite hole in the wall spots. Service was awesome as our server handled the whole place during lunch rush with no problems. Definitely will be back next time I'm in West Sac.

My wife and I decided on a whim to drive out to Orangevale and try breakfast at Ashley's Country Kitchen. If you are looking for a legit country breakfast, this is your place! Our server Maria was fantastic. Even though every table was full, our drinks never went empty, and the service was fast. We will certainly be returning again soon. I had the S.O.S. and OH MY GOODNESS it was the biggest plate of breakfast I've ever seen! The gravy is amazing and the biscuits are to die for.

We stayed for a night at the hotel, so it was very convenient to be able to rest up after a day of wine tasting and walk downstairs to have dinner at the beautiful restaurant. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.- Roasted beet salad: an excellent start to dinner.- Mediterranean mussels: the broth was so delicious that we ordered more bread to soak up all that yummy goodness.- Pork cheek: the meat is salty by nature, but having the whipped potato to cut that was great.

"We saw someone post this pizza and had to try it. The service was great and so were the people! Unfortunately the food looked better than it tasted. The best thing was the Chinese noodle salad."
"This is our second visit after the opening post covid.Have been more times than our original review.Service is laid back and takes time. So don't be in a hurry. We travel with our dog. Dog friendly is important.Outdoor seating is available for us and dog. Relatively large patio. Food....omelet with caramelized onions, bacon, spinach and goat cheese was great. Fingerling potatoes a nice touch. The All Sutter Creek...traditional breakfast with eggs, sausage and toast."
"I've been familiar with Fourk for a while and I was happy to find out that this Folsom location was open, since it is a lot closer for us. I was really excited for our reservation last night.I'll start off by saying that I enjoyed our evening. It's a small place with just one seating, and we arrived a little early for happy hour. We sat at the bar which was comfortable and I loved having a front row seat. I also love the concept of the four course monthly dinner, in a more casual environment. The staff were all friendly and fun. Our night started off well with our happy hour charcuterie plate. We loved the warm flat bread instead of the usual dry crackers, and the cheese, meats and honey were good. They have a good selection of wines by the glass and beers. But the main event, the four course tasting menu, was just not that great. My husband liked the salad, but to me it felt like it tasted like it had been sitting in a cooler for hours. The soup was a chicken pozole, something I like, but I could barely find the hominy. The main course was a sous vide angus beef burger, which my husband ate because I don't eat beef. Now I am a fan of sous vide cooking, but why would you do that to a burger? It was well done. The bun, mushrooms, onions and bacon jam were all nice, but it seems weird to not have a freshly cooked burger. Lucky for me I had an impossible burger which I am guessing they must have made separately. We did enjoy the cheesecake and the raspberry sauce. Here the sous vide seemed to work well. They have two wine pairings available, a regular and reserve, and we shared a reserve pairing, primarily because we wanted the port at the end. The wines were fine, but I'm not sure it was worth the upgrade. I kind of wish we just ordered glasses of port separately and stuck to wine by the glass. We enjoyed ourselves, but for the price, we just didn't think the food lived up to the experience."
"1st time here. We got the bbq chicken salad, the Cobb, salad, guacamole chips, 2 kids tenders, and spicy watermelon margaritas. The chicken in our salads were so dry that it stuck to the roof of my mouth and guacamole was flavorless...maybe the kitchen forgot to add salt and lime. Seems like a cool place to hang out and may need to give it 1 more chance. But for over $100 I'd rather go to Yardhouse."
"I miss sweet green but thank god for this place up near Rocklin. The steak salad is my favorite! I'm so glad I found a place with salads that I love"
"Let me just start by saying I love this place every single time we come here we always get consistency, which is great service with great food. The inside decor is beautiful and elegant. They have a nice happy hour at the bar area with different food items not on the menu . One of my favorite happy hour items is the Philly Cheesesteak Rolls which they just got added to their normal menu . They are delicious. So I picked this place for my b day dinner on 12/21/24 they went above and beyond with customer service . They added my name to the menu it said "Happy Birthday Aly" it was such a cute touch. My people surprised me with a special drink added to the menu just for us that said Aly's Drink it was the cutest thing . It was made with my favorite drink of choice the bartender created it . The attention to detail that happened on this day wow ! I had the best time ever celebrating my b day with friends and family . The owner would check up on us to make sure everything was going good he is so amazing. Just like our waiter Janessa she was so attentive and friendly . The food was amazing like always . They let us bring our own cake they even cut it for me and my guest and served it to us .Overall this is an amazing establishment. I highly recommend Rose Park for daily visits or a big celebration. Thank you Rose Park for making my Birthday special! I really appreciate it ."
"Up in SacTown for CIM. This place is amazing and you should absolutely go. 1) greeted and seated immediately 2) drinks were never empty3) service was impeccable 4) every single food item we ate -- crab roll, chips, green eggs, Brussels sprouts, and cheese board -- were amazing. Beautiful presentation, amazing flavors, generous but not overwhelming portions. All of this would have gotten a 5/5 from me. But the. They went above and beyond. Annie and Erin were on the floor. They saw my husband was in Ducks gear and turned the game on. When we left, and came back, they recognized us. Reader, we went back because the veggie pickles on the cheese board -- okra, asparagus, cauliflower florets, carrots, red onions -- were sooooooooooo good that my pregnant self wanted more. We went back for me to get just a side of veggie pickles. They didn't bat an eye and gave me a generous tub of them for less than I'd pay Whole Foods to get a jar of them off the market shelf. Amazing place. Go there often. Give them all your money. They deserve it."
"Good food and caring staff makes this a place that me and my friends visit frequently.I would definitely recommend this place"
"Whenever we are in the Lincoln Sun City neighborhood, Meridians is often our first choice when it comes to dining, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu offers a nice selection of foods that would satisfy any appetite. I often like to try different things whenever we visit. Michael our server was friendly and attentive. This time I ordered a Shrimp Louis and a Tequila Sunrise. My dad got a grilled Chicken Sandwich with ice tea, brother-in-law got Fish & Chips with a Sierra Nevada beer, and my sister got Seared Salmon with potato salad, Piper Sonoma Brut and a flourless Chocolate cake for dessert, (because it's gluten free). As usual, our dinners did not disappoint. We were full, satisfied and enjoyed family time together in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, which included some nice golf course views, by the way."
"This place continues to improve - definitely a good thing for the Rancho Cordova community. I'm guessing it may pick up some of the load from the recent closure of Jointed Cue Billiards, and I'd say it's up to the task.I dropped by for dinner tonight, and it was very good! I saw a new item on the menu and decided to give it a try - the Steak Burger - carne asada, cheese, onions and garlic on a hamburger bun - served with fries (which I upgraded to garlic fries). It was essentially a Philly Cheesesteak on a hamburger bun... but the added flavor of the carne asada marinade kicked it up a notch! Very good! Plenty of gooey-cheesy-liciousness. The garlic fries were on point too... nice and fresh and light and crisp like I like them.I do appreciate how this place is coming along - tables are in good shape, steel darts as well as electronic darts... a good variety of other games. The TVs are good quality, sharp, high contrast Samsungs... definitely a step above the typical Visios or other "B" brand TVs you see in many other sports bars.Another thing that's nice is the jukebox... they have it set to play music even if nobody's paying for it. You can still put money in it to play your songs if you want to... but you don't feel *forced* to just to break the silence. Lower revenue from the jukebox for them... but happier customers, I think.Keep it up!"
"My best friend and I visited the Historic Star Lounge (located inside of the Hyatt House hotel) in Sacramento, CA on Friday, 1/31/25, around 8 PM. I discovered this place from attending the Yelp Event (Sacramento Sips) back in October 2024. As far as the specialty cocktail, I decided to get the Pom Reader. It had reposado tequila, Brucato amaro, pomegranate, lime, and cranberry spice. My best friend got the Krakow Salt Mine (vodka, apple cider, lemon, and sea salt). We both thought that our drinks were delightful and enjoyable to consume. The indoor ambiance was classical and gorgeous. I loved the dim lighting and candles throughout the entire place. The vibe was everything. The service was a miss during the visit, unfortunately. No one was available at the front entrance/host desk and we were never greeted either. We decided to proceed to the bar. Upon approaching the bar, the bartenders requested for us to move out of the way, as the area we were standing was reserved for serving drinks. We had to scout for another area at the bar. The staff members did not strive to make any proper accommodations for seating. It was a challenging situation. Overall, the Historic Star Lounge makes great cocktail drinks. However, customer service needs to be improved."
"Some of these reviews are weird for this place. And I didn't know that this fabulous restaurant was so polarizing. This place is amazing. Full stop. We love farm to table! And this spot doesn't disappoint. It's off of the beaten path in a way. Every bite was truly sensational. We have been dreaming of our return to this little gem.I constantly think of their risotto and schnitzel. So creamy, so crunchy, so fresh. Their lemonade was amazing as well!!! While I do agree that it wasn't exactly cool temperature wise, you do have to remember that you're in Sacramento with scorching temperatures."
"Had a great time at dinner here with friends. Plenty of space for big groups. Hubby had the hot beef sandwich and I had the Nashville fried chicken sandwich and we really liked both. We came around Christmas time and it was super festive and cozy inside. Will have to come back in the summer and check out the patio"
"Hate when I swear I wrote a review and then can't find it! At least I have pix posted to prove I was there rather than losing my mind! Wow, ya it's been almost 2 years! Omg, time flies! Hasn't changed bit, just as fresh and fine as the last time. Perfect outing, nice drive, plenty of parking, no wait, seated right away, nice, peaceful, serene views ... always love coming up here. So much so that I guess we don't mind paying $20 for a breakfast burrito, $15 for pretzels among other things. Supporting local businesses and this glorious hidden gem. I can stay around this area all day and treat my eyes with wondrous sights.Stay classy! #LoveLoomis"
"We had a great time here. We were able to seat 10 for the game. Service was fast and they work very hard to keep it clean. Bar food menu but it was yummy snacks. Bartender was fast and effective. It was very busy and they were working hard. I'd definitely come back here."
"So I just had the house salad and a glass of wine. But the salad was so delicious that I needed to write a review. The house salad consists of mixed greens with chicken, tomatoes, and avocado with a raspberry vinaigrette. I was worried about the vinaigrette because they can be too sweet, but not this one. It had a good balance among the sweet, tart, and acidic flavors. And the mixed greens weren't bitter at all! The chicken was moist and anything that already comes with avocado is a plus! The white wine I ordered was also delicious! Despite it being a light meal, it was rather filling.Service was really friendly and accommodating as we were a group of six that didn't make reservations. It was a Tuesday night so there weren't many people around the area anyway. The ambiance has steakhouse vibes with its dark decor, but it's not pretentious. The music they were playing was eclectic, from top 40 to some EDM. I'd like to come back here again to try a heavier entree. The menu has some variety, from burgers to fish tacos to Korean chicken."
"The Independent Restaurant, Placerville, CA, February 10, 2024After a full afternoon of celebrating an early "Valentines Day" wine tasting event at Nello Olivo Winery in Camino, we stopped in around 5 pm for dinner. We didn't have a reservation but we were lucky enough to get the last indoor table. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a medium-sized bar. The outdoor seating is covered and they have patio heaters and an outdoor fireplace, but it was starting to cool off outside, so sitting indoors was my preferred choice. Outside probably would have worked too.The inside part of the restaurant is warm and cozy for the most part. They have tables for 2, 4, and 6 people. The bar area was pretty packed, but the acoustics of the place are pretty good and it wasn't too noisy. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and answered all our questions. We ordered a glass of Trefethen Chardonnay, which we split, and we split the salmon with roasted Brussel sprouts and butternut squash. The meal came with a vinaigrette salad that included butternut squash and bacon crumbles. It was flavorful. The salmon was nicely cooked and came in a tasty creamy lemon caper butter sauce. There was a split charge, which I was happy to pay because everything came out on separate plates and the portions were perfect. We got the chocolate pot de crème for desert with a couple glasses of port. Perfect way to cap off the meal!"
"Came in Monday night starving and left with a happy tummy! I got the Flat Iron Steak served with potatoes, squash, corn and feta. It was sooo good, I almost came in the next day to get it again! The service was quick and attentive, I wish I caught our server's name, she was very knowledgeable and sweet. My friend got the black bean burger and sweet potato fries, she enjoyed both!I got an espresso martini, it was a little different than I'm used to, like almost tasted like hazelnut, but it was good! My friend got a fruit infused (pineapple and strawberry I believe) vodka drink that she enjoyed!Thank you for a wonderful experience, I'll definitely be back!"
"Came on a rainy day for lunch before walking the mall and shared a meal. Service was prompt and quick. We ordered the chicken bacon avocado egg rolls which were a 10/10. Sauce was great and flavorful. We also share the chicken piccata which was very tasty but the portion size was incredibly disappointing for $22. I felt like I could hold the amount of noodles in one hand. For that price it should've been a large bowl/plate of food. However, the chicken was tender and plentiful. I'd come back for another meal but I'd hope for more food if I'm paying over $20 for an entree as it wasn't filling enough"
"Wows all around!I love this place. I came here with a friend to celebrate an engagement and it was the perfect restaurant. I loved the unique flavor and texture combinations, and the presentation. This chef knows his stuff! I loved that it was clearly family run and everyone was so friendly. Families and kids were welcome and I felt comfortable there even though I was not dressed fancy at all. I will come here every time I visit Grass valley. Thank you for the wonderful experience!"
"Absolutely amazing lunch today! The golden beet salad with grilled peaches and burrata was amazing! The dressing was awesome, the produce was local. The shrimp I added to my salad was the juiciest and tastiest shrimp I have ever had and I have traveled all over trying seafood. Too die for! My husband had the Lisa Burger which is the biggest burger I've ever seen with pastrami and bacon on it. He ate the whole thing and loved every bite. The server is so sweet and helpful. I absolutely love her.I really like what they are doing here with locally sourced ingredients and a recycle program for leftover food to feed local animals instead of throwing it in the trash. We have watched them grow from the start and they have improved every time we have gone and are really making their mark in this community. We are going to be coming back often."
"Found ourselves in Jackson tonight and there were only a couple of restaurants open within walking distance. We didn't want to pay for the more expensive Italian restaurant and ended up at Mel and Faye's. The place was hopping! Inside and outside. We ended up getting and splitting a 10 oz NY Steak w/salad, vegetables, Texas toast and baked potato. It was more than enough for both of us. Our server was adorable! I can't remember the last time we got that kind of attention, especially when they were so busy and missing a couple of servers. It was obviously a favorite for locals and it was enjoyable to watch their interactions."
"Best brunch value, bottomless mimosas, and always wonderful service! If it's not brunch the Blue Cheese dip is to die for and the best wine in town with Flowers Pinot Noir!"
