"We had lunch at El Puerto today. I had the burrito with red sauce, and my husband had the taco, rice and beans. Portions were good, and the food was satisfying. We each had a wine margarita, which was light and refreshing. The server was friendly and welcoming. We both enjoyed the meal."
"Wow what a pleasant surprise, really tasty Mexican comfort food with endless supply of chips and salsa!Dishes ordered- chicken enchilada, beef and carnitas tacos, chili verde. My mom also had a margarita.I'm glad we decided to eat here vs La Calle (they charge for chips and salsa- Lolita's does not!)Very good value and noticed a lot of take out orders"

"Florez came well recommended by folks on Nextdoor and local Facebook groups and they did not lie. Easy parking, great service, and delicious food! Fantastic portions as well for a fair price. I usually get the three items option and split one with my husband. I've tried and have enjoyed the tamale, flauta, and quesadilla. My husband usually gets the menudo. Restaurant has been decently busy each time we've visited, but never long enough where we'd have to wait for a table. There's also a heated outdoor patio available."
"My wife and I absolutely love this place. We come here a couple times a month. They are a family run restaurant and have always treated us very well. My favorite dish is chicken fajitas. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the give you a ton of vegetables. The rice and beans have never disappointed. They arrive on the traditional steaming hot cast iron plate. We also really enjoy the bar offerings. My go to margarita is the jalapeño margarita. It is insanely good. I have a love for spicy food and this does the job. Please stop by and give a small local spot a chance."
"Posole is really good. We get it often Salsa is great!I like the self serve chips and salsa"
"Update: still delicious! Food is flavorful and served fresh and hot. I'm guessing I can order anything and it would be great! Service is great, staff are welcoming and friendly."
"Probably our best local Mexican restaurant. The crab and shrimp enchiladas are delicious and I also really enjoy the calamari. The do excellent combinations and their shrimp fajitas are great. I also like their chili relleno and chili verde. A family run restaurant, they have been a local favorite for over 30 years. A full bar serves excellent blended Margaritas. Try their mango Margarita. Highly recommend."
"I was craving Tamales randomly and discovered this place on Google Maps. I met the owner and she went over all the Tamale flavors she offered. She was very friendly and cooked several varieties for me to try. I absolutely loved the Pork and Red chili chicken tamales. They were so flavorful and tasty that I just had to purchase a package of each to go. The salsa options I selected and layered on top of the tamales were also a hit. Overall this hidden gem is a must-visit."
"Very confused about the al pastor here. The blandest al pastor that I've tried and on top of that it has chewy gristle. Seems like al pastor is just a straight afterthought at this taqueria.....The carnitas is okay; slightly dry but not a total dealbreaker. Super burrito is essentially meat, beans, and rice with verrrrry little of the ingredients that set it apart from a regular burrito (ex: I found just slivers of lettuce in the super burrito). Churros are crispy but pretty dense in the middle. Not as bouncy as expected. The only thing that I really liked here was the service. Very friendly and patient.Haven't tried the other taquerias in the Rancho Cordova area but really hard to recommend this one especially if you can drive to the Arden-Arcade/Citrus Heights area where there is a cluster of much better taquerias."
"My hubby and I decided to stop by their drive-thru while our daughter was sleeping in her booster seat. I ordered my go-to, a Horchata Agua Fresca and a California Burrito. This sweet horchata is absolutely incredible, 5/5 stars! 5/5 stars for the most incredible burrito around, filled with generous carne asada, fresh crispy fries, cheese and pico de gallo! I would HIGHLY recommend this location! This family owned and operated company opened it's first location in 1986 in the city that created it, San Diego! Adalbertos now has 15 locations! Their drive-thru is open 24 hours, an especially convenient hearty meal for road-trips and late bites! SYOY!"
"Their food truck was set up at the Canary in Midtown on Alhambra. I've never heard of this restaurant/food truck in the past, but looked them up on Yelp and the photos looked appetizing so my co-worker and I thought we'd give them a shot for lunch. On their menu they offer street tacos, quesadillas, burritos and a bowl. You can choose between chicken, pork, steak or veggie. Prices range from $11-$15 and depending on your choice of meat. They do charge .50 cents for extra sour cream and salsa. I ordered the quesadilla with chicken and paid $14 and some change for that and extra sour cream and my co-worker ordered the quesadilla with steak. We had the choice to pick between mild and hot. I chose medium and she chose hot. We didn't have to wait long for our food I'd say maybe 5 minutes or less, which was nice since we were on a time crunch. We both were curious how each other's meat taste so we swapped a piece each. We both really enjoyed our meal. Not greasy at all or overloaded with meat/cheese. Chicken was juicy and tender and seasonings were just right, but I will say I favored the steak, which I am not usually a big steak fan. The salsa on the side was bomb! And for my fellow sour cream lovers, the sour cream consistency was on point- you could drizzle on your meal with ease!Lastly, the customer service was great! I only came into contact with one staff member. He took our order and handed us our food. Very polite, welcoming and thanked us for ordering. I would recommend!"
"Overall, I personally don't plan to return for a 3rd visit and I don't get the hype. I give it a solid 3.5 stars. We enjoyed our meal at the Char Market, but I don't get exactly why it's so popular/highly ranked on Yelp. We've been twice now, the first time they were still working out their kinks and we were a bit disappointed so wanted to give it another go. The second time we found our meals to be pretty good, but I wouldn't say the greatest ever. The food was zesty and refreshing, not as heavy as Mexican food can frequently be. I thought the meat was seasoned OK, but again not sure what the hype is about. The place itself is very small and in a rundown area. It's fairly barebones inside with just a few tables and seating was uncomfortable in our opinion. I wouldn't plan to sit and chat here, more of a grab-and-go or scarf your food down quickly then leave type place. Food didn't take very long to come out once ordered thankfully. I do think the portions could be better for the price.Overall, I personally don't plan to return for a 3rd visit and I don't get the hype. I give it a solid 3.5 stars."

1983. That's the year when "Return of the Jedi" was the #1 movie while "Every Breath You Take" was the #1 hit song. It was also the year when "El Puerto Restaurant" was born in the heart of Rancho Cordova. If you're truly looking for nostalgia while taking a time capsule back to the early-80's, this is just the place that is truly a blast to the past. Considering I have been a resident of Sacramento since 2001, it only took me 22 years to check this place out for myself.I arrived here during the afternoon of Saturday 05/06/2023 at around 1:00pm and met here with a bunch of friends for lunch. The inside of this place is as no-frills as you would expect. But back in 1983, it was as cutting-edge as you would find. The dining area has wood-paneled walls complete with wooden chairs complete with the vinyl cushioned seats. Not to mention, a colorful display of sombreros, artwork, and streamers just to liven the place up. There is also a whole other rear dining area on those nights when it can get super busy. The menu itself offers your typical Mexican staple items; tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and fajitas. You will also find some seafood items as well as salads, breakfast (served all day), a kids menu, and even a dessert menu. They also have a small wine and beer selection. I ended up going with a one-item plate while I ended up choosing their chicken taco complete with Mexican rice and refried beans. To wash it down, I chose a Mexican staple, a Horchata. My friends ordered several different items including Chile Rellano, a taco salad, Chorizo, and an enchilada. They also served us complimentary tortilla chips and red salsa. All of our meals rolled out over the course of 10 minutes; fairly quickly as there actually wasn't any other customers dining here except us. As far as my taco... it was just average at-best for me. The taco shell was quite greasy and hard to pick up with my bare hands. Not to mention, there was too much lettuce and only a few small bits of chicken. Furthermore, even with Tapatio, this taco didn't have any real flavor. The rice was your typical flavor (no surprises) while the beans were actually the highlight of this dish; perfectly cooked with the right amount of saltiness and cheese sprinkled on top.All in all, "El Puerto Restaurant" is just okay in my book. Not a great meal but by no means a lousy meal. With so many options in and around the greater Sacramento area, this place will always be a fan favorite of locals that have been coming here for decades. With that said and done, I am giving them just an average three-star Yelp rating.

It has been a long time since I have been here, but I always loved the flour tortilla chips! They go well with the guacamole. I had the chile relleno lunch. The sauce was yummy but it wasn't as hot (temp wise) that I would have liked. The rice was good too. I will be coming back again sooner this time. The service was good too.

I dined at Glorez Bar & Grill this afternoon, for my girlfriends sister birthday lunch with friends amd family. We had a party of about 30 people, so our entire party was given the outdoor patio area to dine in. Being that it was Winter I wasn't sure how cold it would be outside, but the outdoor patio was fine. Especially with the portable heaters that they provided and bit by our tables. Most guests were there when we arrived but a few more trickled in after. Which gave us time to look over the menus before orders started being taken. Once our waiter arrived our orders started being quickly taken for meals and drinks. And it wasn't long before everything started arriving with a team of people.Drinks:POM Margarita PalomaFood:Empanadas CarnitasAbondigasSuper BurritoThere must've been at least 5 people in total, brings food and drinks to each table which was done so smoothly. And the food was de-lic-ious!I haven't had Abondogas in so long, but it smelled so good just from it being set at our table. So I knew it would be good; and the same was true for the Carnitas Empanadas. The smokieness and light spice of the sauce, put them over the top.SPECIAL NOTE: Sometimes after eating and socializing, someone dressed as the Grinch came in a Santa suit and hat to pay us a visit. He made his way to the birthday girl and greeted her, and took pictures with her and her friends. He garnered so much attention while with our party, that some other guests came our to see and take pictures of him. My gf's sister's friends we so excited to see him and greet him and take pictures with him, which was so nice to see. After leaving we all wondered who he was as they left in the same way they he came. After some minutes our waiter came back to check in on us, and I remembered the Christmas hat. And soon realized our waiter was the one who snuck off to play the Grinch for our party.Overall:Absolutely delicious food, and amazing staff. Thank you to all of them, especially our waiter for going above and beyond for our visit and my girlfriends sister and her birthday lunch. It was more than we could've asked for or expected.

We had stopped eating here about two years ago due to lackluster food, so thought we would give it another chance to see if things improved. Unfortunately it did not. The location is in a good spot and shares the parking lot with Bel Air, so there is plenty of spaces to park even if you do have to walk a bit. It also has Steve's pizza and a stone cold there which helps to bring in other traffic. The restaurant itself is nice and has a good little bar area set up. Service was prompt and friendly so that was not an issue. It took about 15 minutes or so for our Togo order to come up so that was fairly quick. We were there on a Monday night, so may have had the uninspired cook for our chorizo burrito and chimichangas. The chorizo burrito seemed like a breakfast burrito and simply lacked any flavor, which was surprising with the chorizo. The chimichangas also were simply blah and nothing to remember. The green salsa was the better of the two but a little too salty for my taste and the red sauce was a little too Haley on the chili for my liking. There are a lot of good Mexican places to eat at nowadays but sadly this is not one of them in my book.

Visited this place after an event an Old Elk Grove. They were about an hour away from closing so not very busy. This place seemed pretty chill and relaxed and wasn't sure if it was because of the time but didn't have any issue with it.Ordered the super burrito and the lovely wife went for the Quesadillas. Food came out quick and didn't have any issues with the quality. Staff were great and didn't have issues with ordering. They have seating on the inside and outside.Worth checking if you are looking for a decent Taqueria in old EG.

Checked out a new (to me) taqueria over the weekend! Located in Natomas in the same shopping center as Chef Frank and Safeway - off Del Paso Blvd. The inside was clean and had plenty of seating. There was a nice salsa bar with free chips as well.We ordered street tacos - Al Pastor, Chicken, Carnitas and Carne Asada. There was nothing out of the park about them, but they definitely hit the spot and I would come back here next time I am in the area! Their Molcajete and Pozole looked amazing!Service was super friendly and they checked on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything else. I can tell that the people who work at El Favorito put a lot of love into their business!

Cool little hole in the wall, just picked up a couple dozen sweet corn tamales and they were amazing and very affordable. The masa is very good! I read a couple negative reviews so I was kind of hesitant to coming, but I'm glad I gave it a try! The ladies working were friendly and nice. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

"These tacos are sooooo good! We had asada and birria. I would totally go back and try as much as I can. I've paid more for less quality elsewhere. It isn't the best location for parking and other reasons lol. But they're still super popular and the long lunch line moves fairly quick."
"Lalo's, a hidden gem, surprises with its outstanding Mexican cuisine. The unassuming exterior belies the exceptional dining experience within. Welcomed promptly upon arrival, we were given the freedom to choose our seats. The service was swift, with our orders promptly taken. I opted for the chile relleno, which surpassed all expectations - not overly fried, and the accompanying sauce was impeccable. The pastor and buche tacos were generously filled and deliciously juicy. My husband enjoyed a sizable wet burrito, and the portion sizes were impressively generous. The horchata struck the perfect balance - not overly sweet, yet delightfully flavorful. Remarkably, all this culinary excellence comes at an affordable price."
"Very fresh and flavorful! Taco salad & burritos were delicious! Will definitely be back!"
"Very exciting new nightclub in sac! They focus on Latin music and offer an upscale, high energy vibe. My friends and I visited during both their soft opening and hard opening nights. They're easy to locate, and have security and bouncers at the door. They will check bags and IDs, and charge $20 for entry (Saturday night). The spot is pretty big in size. They have two bars on either side. Drinks are priced pretty predictably. However, they do charge $5 for water and do not offer cups of tap water. Hopefully this is something they offer in the future. They have a covered outdoor patio, restrooms, and booths as well. The music has been super fun so far and the staff has been friendly. I can definitely see this spot being successful!"
"This place is it. The tucked in the back, hard to find place that is truly everything you wanted and needed it to be. In a time where everything is thrown together and slopped up and overcharged, this is a refreshing change of pace. This place in my mind is authentic, genuine, and homey. Food: home made salsa with so many delicious selections at the salsa bar. Not to mention freshly made tortilla chips too. We got the wet burrito and I got the Michoacan enchiladas and we shared the birria tacos. The enchiladas were so flavorful and tender and everything I expected it to be. I got lengua and al pastor for my choices of meat and it was perfect! She said she burrito was so tender and flavorful as well. And this place was our first place to try the birria tacos and it was amazing! So tender and juicy and paired perfectly with the consume. The service was kind and fast. I could hear the chefs singing in the kitchen, which to me is always a good sign. They also had a huge selection of agua fesca drinks. The ambiance is cute and quaint and just very homey and genuine. This place opened not too long ago, but the quality of food, the pricing of the menu, and the selection of everything really impressed me. This is my Mexican food spot now and I'll won't be going back anywhere else. This place is it. Whether it be for a date, a normal dinner, or just something to satisfy your craving, this place does it all."
"Yesterday we came here to grab a quick bite to eat after my son's Practice. It was right before closing time which is at 9pm . The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and organized. They have a cool salsa bar I feel like the salsas could be less runny but they still good . My favorite is the crispy taco with the cheese on the crispy shell so good ! My husband always gets the wet burrito he loves it . That thing is huge lol !! The food is very affordable for the portions you get . We all enjoyed our food. For drinks I always get the horchata drink it's very good and traditional. They also offer a lot of Mexican beers . I love the music they were playing Fuerza Regida hehe one of my favorites."
"Ordered delivery and was very impressed that it arrived hot! The steak burrito was a little oily, but definitely filling. Huevos con Machaca was excellent - perfect amount of meat, veggies, and eggs. Wish there had been some salsa included - did not see an option to order it. Would definitely get the Huevos again!"
"We went to the Granite Bay Brewery for their Wednesday Trivia Night. This fabulous food truck was there for dinner orders. My husband and I ordered their Tri-tip dinner. We chose coleslaw and potato salad as our sides. Everything was so delicious. The BBQ sauce that was served on the side was perfect for the tri-tip. We look forward to finding this food truck again. I forgot to mention that the food was ready in less than 5 minutes!!! What a great find!!"
"Probably the best taqueria in Sacramento.Their menu is extensive and there's an option for everyone. I really like their street tacos. They are very generous with portions and two tacos can basically be four. The jumbo burritos are just that - jumbo. You can easily share it. I really like that their salsa bar is still self serve and they offer limes, radishes, peppers, etc. The service is so quick. After ordering, you can go wash your hands or grab salsas and then your food is ready. The space is also very large so it's perfect for big groups too."
"Great service and very tasty Mexican food. Definitely the family's go-to taco truck."
"Trust the good reviews. It's sooo good here. The salsa Roja is delicious! Took one bite of my burrito and one word came to mind.. bomb Only con was the wait time.. Food took about half an hour to come out. But it is my new fav place and it's a plus for the outdoor seating."
"My friends and I ended up here after long waits for Cinco de Mayo (I tried to tell them). I remembered this place that I drove pass many times because I wasn't sure it was open. They are and we were very happy they were. We never had Salvadorian food. Wow! So fresh and delicious. We left it up to the person at the counter to steer us in the right direction. And they did. The food is so unbelievably delicious and yummy. We will be going here more often. Stop by and tell them James sent ya."
"I have been coming here for little bit now and I've always love the atmosphere of the place. Parking is little bit wonky. The couple times I have went in there is usually no wait time the workers are really nice there everyone I have encounter. Downfall is sometimes when you order a drink takes little longer than it should sometimes you have to remind them. I do love the margarita it tastes like a margarita. I love mine on ice and with a salt rim they also have other flavors too and can do it blended. They have a small size and a large size option. The food is really good it's always hot and fresh. I always have extra to take home and eat it the next day. If you live Mexican food and good drinks I recommended this place."
"Customer service was a 10, the place was pretty clean the food was delicious. They had free chips and salsa bar that was stocked and super clean. Next time I'm in Galt I will for sure come back. The breakfast bacon and egg burrito was . Mu daughter tore up the grilled chicken and beans kids burrito. My nephew got the asada burrito and my niece ordered the chorizo plate. We all loved our meal, the horchata was super good and free refills. Check them out."
"Pros: I thought the restaurant was lovely. My Sangria was excellent. Server was friendly. Cons: The chips tasted off as if they had been cooked in old oil. Somewhat dank flavor. The refried beans and the rice were flavorless. The chicken enchilada was okay but not memorable. I was alone in the bar for lunch, but I think I'll return for dinner one evening and see if on my return I can choose a dish that is more to my liking."
"AMAZING FRESH SEAFOOD "MARISCOS" This by far is the best place for Latin seafood that we've been to. The seafood is super fresh bright and looks like it just came out the sea. Not very spicy but the have an excellent selection of hot sauces to spice it up. Very recommended place to come. The complimentary ceviche salsa was also 5 stars and fresh."
"Great ambiance for happy hour drinks and great service! We came to get a margarita and come to find out....it was happy hour! Although there's not too many options on the happy hour menu, each thing is quality. We didn't order food from happy hour but was not disappointed with the quality that the food was."
"I used to dine here back when it was originally called Crazy Tacos and featured an All-You-Can Eat buffet for seven dollars. It was a good decision for them to nix the buffet and stick to a more standardized menu. Whenever I'm shopping in the neighborhood, I'll drop by La Cabana. The exterior does look like kinda drab but La Cabana does have standard Mexican food at inexpensive prices."
"Los Jarritos is our go to Mexican joint for lunch. We went to get some breakfast another spot it was closed so came for breakfast instead. The breakfast burritos were delicious and very reasonably priced! Don't expect gourmet coffee, it comes out of a coffee pot, but on the other hand the salsa is amazing and the burrito was super tasty!"
"Wow! 10 stars. First time here. So delicious! Piping hot, fresh, aplenty and good price. Still have leftovers! We ordered via drive-thru, 2 sets of combo plate. 2 carne asada tacos and beef burrito and cheese enchiladas. Oh my goodness, flavorful! Go here today, think they're open 24 hours."
"Probably the best adalbertos in the area. I will drive out of my way to get to this one. No matter what time of day the food is consistent and they are not stingy on guacamole"
"Brand new place, but I definitely do recommend. Taste was good! Can't wait to try the Birria Tacos."
"Today I was finally able to redeem my Groupon. My Instagram feed is always advertising this place. Based on all the video's I decided to purchase the Groupon. I arrived at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and this place was empty. Such a shame because they clearly invested a lot of money in the decor!!! The Pan dulce was out in the open sitting on top of the bar area. You're able to grab your conchas, puerquitos (they offer a mini for $1.25 not worth the high price) and cookies. They don't advised the price of the pan dolce. I ordered the Tropical Shrimp Bowl $18 - cilantro rice, black beans, chipotle shrimp, pineapple sauce (it had chunks of pineapple), cabbage (its very very very very very very tangy) and avocado. The bowl itself was very small for the price. It included 4 medium tail on shrimp. All the flavors were a party in your mouth but DID NOT mix. The tangy cabbage didn't vibe with the sweet pineapple chunks."
