"This is one of those places that you sometimes hear people say things like "the small hole-in-the wall places have the best food". Except this isn't a hole in the wall it's a nice little food truck in the Ace Hardware parking lot on Grantline. We ordered some chicken & rice and lamb & rice plates from Yummy Gyro and our cravings were well satisfied! Their chicken is flavorful and juicy, rice was fresh and had good flavor, salad greens were also fresh and went well with the chicken and lamb meat. Everything tasted very good, better than some actual kabob restaurants you'd find at any strip mall in EG. I think we found our new favorite spot for kabob rice plates. They do have a small outdoor dining area set up right next to the truck if you like to "dine in". We will be going back for their Gyro's. You can also find them on DoorDash and call in your order as well."
"I was waiting in line at Lockford Sausage this morning and wanted to look at their menu. The waitress at counter was very friendly and recommended a few dishes. I wanted to eat here, but my significant other had plans to eat elsewhere , but next time I am in area I will eat here.Great customer service, menu looks good."

"Used them as a caterer for my party at home. Very professional, on time, and accommodating to requests made during the party. Sometimes caterers will skimp you on portions when it comes to a personal party, but not hefty! they definitely lived up to their name. Thank you Jamal and staff for accommodating my wife and I! P.S. hefty fries combination is the go to IMO"
"SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES! Another craving that I can satisfy only when I come here. Been a loyal customer for five years. We order the spicy falafel wrap or veggie gyro. Fresh ingredients and made to order.I wish I can encompass the flavor in a review. Just know I'm already craving it for next week."
"Habibi Grill is fire. Get the Habibi platter! It's got lamb, chicken, a few fries, a small salad, bomb rice, a few wedges of pita, a drizzle of hot sauce, and dreched with tzitziki. It's like 2 meals in one. Or one of you are an animal. If that doesn't excite you, the chicken wings are pretty decent too! Check it out. Also check the camel riding dudes art on the truck. Great food truck."
"This popped up on my radar as a new location so decided to take my mom and check it out. We both enjoy Mediterranean food! It's a casual place... order at the counter, fill your cup at the soda machine... but they do bring the food to your table when it's ready.Mom ordered the Souvlaki Plate + Australian Lamb. They asked her to choose a side between rice, fries or feta fries and she declined all three... so they asked if she'd like a larger salad and she agreed to that.I ordered the Classic Greek Salad and added Gyro meat for protein. We were given a number marker to put on our table. Our meals arrived quickly and were visually impressive - large portions! Ok, I did order the "large" salad + protein... but I wasn't able to finish it... so I feel the value was there, which is definitely a welcome things these days. One of the standout items was mom's lamb skewers (she shared with me) - great taste and nice and tender - perfectly done.We finished by sharing baklava ice cream. We weren't intending to have dessert, but we were intrigued and decided to give it a try. Our meals were fresh and tasty... service prompt and friendly, convenient location, what isn't there to like?"
"You know those nights when "the usual" stuff doesn't sound good? I came in here one night on one of those and got a gyro wrap. There was virtually no one in the restaurant at the time, and the person at the counter took our order quickly. The food was *so* good, and tasted like fresh ingredients especially the tomatoes they put on it. It was super fairly priced as well!"
"Located in the business building lobby, the owner George is always so friendly. Open from 0700-3pm, it's definitely a great option if you're looking for coffee, blended drink or lunch! I ordered the Mediterranean Wrap and it was perfect! The spinach wrap was perfectly toasted on the outside, and the combination of the hummus and chicken was a delight! He was having system problem with payment, but luckily he takes Venmo! Might have to forget to bring my lunch again to try the other menu options!"
"Very delicious donair shop ran by father and son. The chicken donair was so good! It was packed with fresh veggies, chicken, hummus and sauces. I am a sauce-driven eater, so I thrilled when they dropped off squeeze bottles of hot sauce and garlic sauce with our meals. We loved the food and service. The indoor seating area was very clean and suitable for a fast meal.Highly recommend this fine establishment for a very tasty and fresh meal."
"I don't think people know about this place because it's so good!!!! It's a deli so order the food to go. It's packed wall to wall with Persian food staples! We got gyro sandwiches and they were huge! One could have fed the two of us. The flavors were delicious as well.We shopped a bit while waiting and got tabbueh and tazziki sauce, and Turkish baklava. Seriously the best."
"The chicken is incredibly moist and delicious, falafel is good as well. Both are probably the best in the area. Lamb is ok but not worth ordering again. Charge extra for feta/cheese. My go to is chicken shawarma. The ambiance is cold, I prefer to take it to go or eat outside. The food is good but the owner she's so pushy on register sales and she was rude when she knew their ice machine was down for fountain drinks, after i paid she said so sorry no ice ok. I said you knew that but didn't say anything and pushed us upgrade to a soda combos to drink warm soda? She said but it comes with fries so it's fine... seriously it's not. My last visit, she started taking our order and answered the phone we were stuck waiting because she didn't tell them to hold. Poor service."
"First time trying falafel and it was delicious! Can't to come back next time.Friendly staff, great food, quick service."

Randomly drove my and caught my eye, since I was already hungry I decided to stop by. Let me tell you, so glad I stopped!! This was phenomenal!! Got the chicken gyro, soooooo GOOD! It's inside the Ace hardware parking lot. Owners are super friendly and so accommodating. I highly suggest you get the chicken gyro, so much flavor! There's benches and tables on the grassy area. Come in the evening, with a cool breeze, so perfect!

Great place for breakfast. The food and service were excellent. I enjoyed the small town locals vibe of the diner as well. Prices weren't bad but could be a little cheaper at least when it comes to add-ons or upgrades. I ordered their payday omelette which was huge and they gave me a generous helping of potatoes. I upgraded to 1/2 a cinnamon apple waffle which was great but not sure it was worth an extra $5.49. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area though to try their lunch and dinner options.

Food: Loved Hefty Gyros combo style plate. Chicken, meat, veggies, tzatziki, humus, and pita. You gear a lot of bang for your buck. Easily 2 meals in 1 large plate. Flavorful and fresh sums it up. I will be back again for sure.Ambiance: Friendly and patient staff. Quick turnaround with the order. Fun environment since this was at an outside event. Definitely hit the spot on many marks.Parking: Food truck pop-up locations so there's parking all around. Always nice to go to an event and see them there.

Looks and tasted great! You know the food is great when you're already thinking about posting a great review on Yelp while you're eating the food. The pita was perfectly buttered, soft with a slight crisp, the rice was fluffy- not clumpy and the gyros pieces were plenty, hearty and well seasoned. A little extra butter or sumac in the rice would have made this perfect. Made by a young cook named Atlar (sp). I really appreciate really great quality these days as most places have fallen off.

Quick service, friendly staff, and good food. What more can you ask for? Came here for lunch got the two Habibi platters. It was a combo meal with lamb and chicken topped with some fries. It was a pretty large plate! I couldn't finish it all and my partner was super stuffed after finishing his. I think we could have probably shared a platter. For the price it was pretty worth it. Everything was nice and hot. I think he made it to order because it took about 10 minutes from when I ordered to receive my food. 10/10 would recommend and come back if I'm in the area!

Came in for lunch on a lovely Sunday, 10/27/2024, with my beautiful wife and adorable daughter. I ordered promptly at the counter and waited for my food. I ordered Athenian Burger and Lemon Potatoes. Athenian Burger: 1/2 lb of angus beef topped with chopped veggies in tzatziki sauce. Buns were a bit hard, ordered to be cooked medium rare but got medium well, still tasted good. Overall burger was messy but tasty. Price at 13.95, reasonable but comes with no sides 3 out of 5 stars Lemon potatoes: seasoned well, good balance of savory and tart, price at 7.95 but they can't give you a whole sliced potato 3 out of 5 starsStaff was courteous in this fast paced restaurant, 5 out of 5 starsDecor was casual ambiance, 5 out of 5 stars 16/20 stars out of 20 stars earning 80%, I'll be back for more things on the menu!

I found this hidden gem in Central Sacramento while charging my car, and I'm so glad I did! This family-run Mediterranean spot serves fresh, thoughtfully prepared food with beautiful presentation and bold flavors--all at a great price. The service was fast and genuinely friendly, making the experience even better. Whether you're in a rush or want to savor a great meal, this place delivers. I'd come back even without the car charger excuse!

Tucked away in a vast office building is this cute little walk up counter featuring coffee drinks, all-day breakfast, lunch offerings, snacks, smoothies and refrigerated beverages. The biggest plus is the friendly proprietor Vivian, ready to serve you with a smile. Take a look at the menu and you will see a lot of tasty ready-made or partially prepped selections to choose from. The prices are very affordable and they can also take pre-orders via text (see photo for text only phone number.)This visit I chose the "Le Castel" breakfast burrito which features a large amount of fluffy scrambled eggs, some seasoned beef, hash potatoes and cheese. You are given an option of spicy olive oil (my pick) or hot sauce as a dressing. The burrito was large, piping hot, delicious and left me full for hours. I can't wait to try the next breakfast burrito on the list. Location is last building to the left at the end of the cul de sac. I drove around and past the roundabout to the front parking lot by the water feature. Upon entering the building, walk straight ahead and slightly to the left, you will eventually see the counter. My work location is within walking distance so I know I will be a frequent flyer, ready to eat it all! I'll update with more pictures as try each item.

"These bad reviews are WHACK. Most likely rival gyro shops trying to turn away customers. I've tried every shop in town and aces is the BEST. Crispy spicy flavorful meat seasoning on POINT. The owner is very welcoming and the food is authentic"
"The food was delicious and the service was amazing. My boyfriend is from Turkey and he enjoyed the food, reminding him of home. We ordered quite a bit from the menu to try out everything: Adana Kebap with yogurt, Mixed Grill, Beyti Kebap with yogurt, İskender kebap with yogurt, aryan drink, Baked Rice Pudding, Kunefe and Chai. The Adana Kebap was deliciously seasoned and everything came with a side of fresh vegetables (lettuce, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and beets). All the dishes were beautifully presented as well. I got to try bits of pieces of the other dishes, but there were no leftovers from anyone, including my parents who have never had Turkish food before. If it's Mom approved it's everyone approved. The Rice pudding was light, chilled and yummy! The Kunefe is my favorite and it was so good I wish I had more. It's perfectly sweet and definitely recommend dessert with chai (tea). I hope to go again when I visit the area!"
"standing ovation. A HUGE appreciation for the customer service of Jacob and Carlos. Through and through they treated every customer they interacted with the same; friendly, approachable, attentive. My first time in and I sat back and watched them assist a line of customers quickly. And note, they are consistent at changing their gloves for every meal they prepare. I was confident that my meal was not cross contaminated with meat. Order falafel on wheat pita. The portions were huge! The sauces were so good. Highly recommend."
"A filling, healthy, and affordable meal! Stopped in today during lunch break and got the Mashtee wrap (beef, chicken, fries, green, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers, parsley, onions, special sauce) for $15.99 and I think it's well worth it! The wrap was large and hearty--I couldn't finish all of it, so now I have two meals! The acidity of the pickles and banana peppers added a good flavor balance to the two meats. The chicken was a bit dry but the beef was perfect. Nothing a little sauce won't fix!Service is cafeteria line style and very quick. Also, I think the man who's the owner? Super friendly and told us to ask for more sauce if we need it. Would def come back again"
"12/4/24-Popped in to see if I could find some goodies--- I did a review a while back but didn't see it..Sure did find some goodies!!Actually, a customer before me- was asking for an item, but they were out.Music to my ears " we have the Dubai chocolate"... what??? I've been wanting to try this for quite some time.. I bought four Dubai chocolates-, a slice of pistachio cake- and some kind of bread pastry with dates...Update: the pistachio cake was dry- per both son's..Price was$11.00..Oh my! Tastes like a milk chocolate with a crispy wafer..What's nice is they make all the items..Hoping t up go back tomorrow before heading home.."
"My wife and I Come here every time we are in Roseville. I always get the shawarma and my wife gets the chicken kabob. Always fresh food and made to order. We will always come back!"
"I have driven by this place a bunch of times and I finally decided to stop in for some grub. I showed up right around lunchtime and it was pretty busy. As I was looking at the menu and preparing to order, I could see inside the kitchen. They are cooking to order, and that's always such a great sign. With that in mind, I want to let peeps know that waiting is possible. That's generally what happens when they really cook!So I got the Gyro with lamb and beef, no onion, with fries. It was packed with deliciousness and the sauce was just the right addition to add that creaminess we all love so much. I really enjoyed the sandwich, and the fries, really good too. Seasoned fries, not those fake half baked stringy things.I will definitely e back for more, and as I write this, I want some hummus and pita. And a Med salad too, with extra feta."
"Over the years, I've enjoyed Petra's gyros, meat & chicken skewers, pita, rice pilaf, fries, hummus, tzatziki, fry sauce, and even $1 happy hour Olympia beer! It's all been very consistent with quality, flavor, portion, and value. My favorite is the "Petra Special Plate" ($22). You get a beef patty, a pork skewer, chicken skewer, rice or fries, salad, pita bread, hummus, and tzatziki. It's a great sample of what's on their menu, and plus it's a lot of food to share or pig out on! The chicken is surprisingly tender, the beef patty is packed with flavor, and the pork is the best meat. I'm not much of a lamb fan, but I have had it here, and they do it right. Petra is great for happpy hour and late night bites. Food is always served hot and fresh. Meet me at the (Petra) Greek!"
"The food is great here! I've been able to call in my order ahead and usually can pick up within 10-15 minutes. My favorite is the chicken platter and it comes with chicken with white sauce over rice, a side of salad and some pita bread. The potions are usually big enough for me to have leftovers and their prices are reasonable. There are tables inside although I have not dined-in before. But when it comes to looking for Mediterranean food for pick up, this place has been a go-to for me!"
"They closed at 9pm and we showed up around 8:30ish. Upon arriving here there was a lot of weird people soliciting in the front. I don't think it's the establishment's fault because theres a liquor store next door but it was very suspicious that they were hanging out in front of the gyro place and not the liquor store. We walked in an tried to order. There was no one in the front to take our order. After waiting 5 minutes we rang the bell. He came out and said in a rude tone take out only. We said okay because it was close to closing. I believe they are severely under staffed because after we ordered the cashier went back to the kitchen and did not come back out for 10 minutes. Finally came back out and the food looked good. We ordered three philly cheese steaks and a lamb fries. The lamb was decent and marinated well but the fried were over cooked. Very crunchy. And the bread they used for the philly cheese steaks were like old dry bread. Every bite you would have to wash it down with a soda. We eventually used a fork to eat the meat and threw the bread away. "Philly dry steak""
"Best Greek fool in Roseville wow this food was incredible with fresh cut vegetables and fantastic falafel."
"Jeeroz Gyros Once in a while we get a food truck come to the Highland Reserve West in the FlexCare Staffing parking lot on Gibson Drive. We never know who will show up... I wasn't able to tell who the vendor is from our building. ... today we had Jeeroz Food Truck!I walked down with my co-worker. I wasn't going to get anything but I ended up getting regular fries w/ Jeeroz sauce and a strawberry lemonade. The fries was straight outta the fryer fresh and was delicious dipped in the Jeeroz sauce. It was a high of 102° today and my strawberry lemonade was refreshingly good. I had a piece of my co-worker's Chicken Gyro and was tasty and yummy! Now regretting not getting one for myself.I wasn't really expecting the food to be this good. Come baaaaaaaack again soon!Instagram: jeeroztruckReview #3466"
"Decided to pop in and give this place a try last night. I ordered the feta fries and let me just say this....I could not stop eating them, once I started. They were so tasty and filling. The staff were great and very helpful with answering any questions."
"For our book club, we decided to try Summer Nights and had a great experience. The value for the price is unbeatable-- the portions are incredibly generous, especially the appetizers that come with an entrée. The service was excellent: quick, attentive, and friendly, and the food was packed with flavor. My only critique was the lamb. The pieces were quite thick, whereas I'm used to thinner slices at Mediterranean restaurants. That said, I enjoyed my falafel sandwich; it was delicious. I'd definitely return to explore more of their menu options!"
"Myokonos Fries $15 was PACKED with protein and fries. Great to share among a group.Parked in the gas station parking lot. Easy to spot.Nowhere to sit so we just ate in our car which was fine."
"I have been eating & shopping here for years. Literally. It gives small market & deli vibes. It is a family owned & operated business. The service is outstanding, it's the type you can only get when you shop at a mom & pop. From the moment you walk in, you genuinely feel welcomed. There is a butcher counter with a great selection of halal meat, fresh produce, Mediterranean and Afghani/Pakistani/Iranian spices, packaged foods, frozen foods & bakery items. The restaurant selections are all tasty. Our favorites are the Hummus Bilahmah, Shawarma & Falafel. Get extra hot sauce & garlic sauce... they are the BEST. We are also big fans of their fish & chips & sandwiches. Don't feel like waiting? Call them ahead and place the order for pick up!"
"It might be easy to miss Royal Kabob & Gyro as it's located in a busy shopping center with a number of other restaurants. But, Royal Kabob & Gyro is definitely worth a visit! We've dined here several times. While the service is minimal and the dining room only has about 10 tables, the food is fresh, delicious, and served up really quickly! Our favorites dishes are the beef kabob plate and the gyro plate. Both come with a generous serving of rice, green salad, and a pita bread. The gyro is sooo flavorful and tender. Plus, it comes with a tasty tzatziki sauce. The beef kabob is was also great-tasting and the garlic sauce (on the side) was incredible!"
"A staple in the downtown Sacramento area the Crest is a must for lunch. The menu has been simplified but there are options for something light to a full buffet (which has come back since it was shut down for COVID). There is usually a line out the door but you can also order ahead online if you are in a rush. My favorites are the chicken shawarma wrap or the tacos. Both are filling and full of flavor that will leave you happy after lunch. During the warm weather the patio seating is available and makes for a relaxing lunch too. They also have the option of catering for events which works perfectly for any office party."
"Was in the area and decided to give this spot a try. It wasn't busy at all but it took 15 mins for someone to take my order. I stood there waiting awkwardly lol. I felt bad for the cashier, she was super sweet but needed assistance as she was also making orders! The food was just okay. I ordered the tikka combo with chicken skewers. Presentation it looked really good, but flavors were lacking! The salad was in need of seasoning. Rice and chicken were okay but nothing special. I wish that this dish was served with tzatziki sauce or something! I did enjoy the bread and hummus that was included. I ended with the pistachio rolls! They weren't very sweet so I drizzled some honey on I had at home. Probably won't be back any time soon."
"Food is really good. I have had fajitas & I have had shrimp chow mien . We also have ordered pizza from solly's. If you haven't tried this place give it a try. Owner is very nice."
"This hidden gem is awesome for us. It may not be in the best looking area but the Mediterranean food is great & that's an understatement. My favorite is the chicken thigh kebab that comes with basmati rice, a small side Greek salad & pita bread. Wifey loves the grilled salmon plate here AND lamb chopkebab plate. Both are very satisfying & not a long wait when they cook it fresh here for you. The grilled salmon comes with baked potato instead of rice which wifey likes better. She does like the way they cook the lamb chops! So flavorful & juicy she says! & she doesn't lie!!!We know their hours suck but I believe it's to cater to the people who work nearby. It's a very industrial section of town. Great for us when we are in this side of town which can be a couple times a month at least! Keep up the great tasting food! Yummy kebab we absolutely have to agree it's yummy!!! Got it? Yummy kebab??? LolBtw if you check in here don't forget as you can get a complimentary soda or bottled water. Hey why not? Every little bit helps when you can save money. Right? Yes! Woohoo!"
"Pretty good Mediterranean food!At first when I saw the drive-through window outside I was worried if this place is fast food and not legit, but was I wrong! Once I walked inside the restaurant you see pretty nice (Mediterranean?) decorations everywhere. Even the bathroom was super clean inside. The food is pretty good! The rice is plain white, which was unexpected because usually I thought there is some kind of sauce to make the rice non-white. In any case the rice and gyro tasted good, and the Tzatziki sauce on the side tasted legit. Everything was served warm which was nice! The service is good. I asked a bunch of newbie questions and the staff took the time to answer me. I asked for utensils and they were happy to include them. All in all, a good place for Mediterranean food!"
"Big portions and savory flavor were presented to us at Mr Greek Donair & Kebab. Some of the best lamb my mom had ever eaten. Lamb shank in general is supposed to tender when slow braised and theirs was exceptional. She particularly enjoyed the flavor of the tomato saffron sauce as it wasn't salty and they served a lot of it. For myself I ordered the giant chicken donair. It was heavy, juicy and messy but I finished it all despite its massive size. We also got three crispy potato samosas. There was variety of sauce cups that came with our meal and my favorite was their spiciest one. Tucked into the Delta Shores shopping center, this establishment was clean, with enough seating and a large counter where you can see the food being made. They were a bit busy when we came on a rainy Saturday around lunch time. I noticed there were a lot of to go orders from delivery apps. Staff were very nice and politely answered our questions. They did not take too long in making our food. Rest room was fairly tidy. We will return to try their kebabs, salads and falafels."
