"Even though I may not be a kid anymore (or in my 20's, for that matter...), I can say with absolute certainty that I was no less excited to finally check out Round1. If anything, I was even more excited to check out the different arcade and crane games - now that my wallet is filled with adult money instead of an allowance or birthday money, I could spend to my heart's (read: budget's) content! After all, what's the point of making adult money if you don't get to spend it frivolously on childish things every now and again and again and again and again and again?Since we were here mostly to kill some time and for the benefit of my friends' kids (and, secretly, myself...) to run around and play in the arcade, I can't say much about the bowling lanes nor the food (it's typical amusement park food with some Japanese snack options). However, what I can say is that their arcade is impressively large and pretty well varied. Amongst their mix of both newer and older fighting, shooting, tempo/dancing, and racing games, there's also a bunch of Japanese arcade imports (the type of machines where you sit on a stool and play), coin pushers, claw/crane, and ticket based games. Not only that, most the plushies and prizes in the claw/crane and drop games are actually desirable (read: not random nor cheap/crappy).As much fun as I had playing several of the aforementioned games, I did notice several of the same "issues" that others have brought up in their reviews. Primarily with regards to how difficult their claw/crane games seem to be. Don't get me wrong - I assumed they weren't going to be easy, given the quality of the prizes and that making them too easy means making less money, but they definitely seemed harder than most others I've played in the past (not sure if the grips are loosened or if the cords are intentionally twisted). Also, while each individual play for the majority of the games here isn't ridiculously expensive, the amount you'll end up spending here can add up quickly if you aren't paying attention and/or pacing yourself with the constant and frequent swiping. That being said, it also applies to to any arcade that utilizes swipe cards instead of coins or tokens, so it's not something exclusive to Round1. In any case, considering how it's attached to the Westfield Galleria (with its own entrance and operating hours), this isn't a bad spot to take your kids while out shopping, a night out with friends, or just a nostalgic way to spend some of that hard earned adult money burning a hole in your wallet.THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded up."
"Was in the mood for Vietnamese food and decided to check out Wonderful. It's a great lounge area and they have a TV that was playing the soccer games. Used to be a cafe, but management changed over the years. Their food was pretty solid and the service was good. Tried their Fried Shaking Beef over Red rice, egg rolls, and banh xeo and was not disappointed. Would stop by here again if I'm around the area."
"Great spot to relax with Friends and have a great time!! Located in a nice Penryn location. Place has been here ions. You'll love the live music and Dj. We did!!"
"Good place to get a drink..make it strong make it quick, because these bartenders are not messing around you want a drink you get a drink and there is always plenty of parking which is huge going anywhere these days..enjoy a drink"
"Kenneth is awesome we love coming here just to say what's up! The ambience is meh but the people are freakin fantastic!"
"I love this place! Super diverse, kind staff and fun for pool! This is what everyone wants when it comes to a neighborhood bar where people treat you like family. I was very surprised to see a recent negative review and I encourage another visit. We have been here 10 times in the last year and had only positive experiences."
"I'm gonna give the bartender a 10/10 he was phenomenal! Best midori sours I've had in a long time AND it's very inexpensive!!! Wow $10 for two midori sour large! Love it!"
"Nice staff all around. A bunch of parking available. Came here for breakfast, they're famous for their fried chicken steak. It's made out of beef if you're wondering."
"Found this by accident. It is almost a speakeasy from inside and out. Didn't think it was open at first, but the door pulled so we went in. Inside is like some thing from the the movies. Dark and oddly inviting. Probably what the real Cheers looked like before the show found it. No beer on tap, but bottles in the fridge. Decided to go with a rum and coke and the wifey got a vodka cran. Pulled out my card but she said CASH ONLY. I had some on me luckily, but not much. But they were so reasonably priced I had enough for a second round. This time an old fashioned and makes on the rocks. Drink were great. Old fashioned was surprisingly good. We have high standards for that particular drink. Service was friendly. Definitely going to try and be back regularly."

This is a pretty cool place for younger and older kids. I heard about it a lot in the past but this is the first time we've been. Actually it's the first time being back to The Galleria since the pandemic. They have a variety of games to get those cute stuffy dolls, a bowling alley, a billiard and I also saw Karaoke. There were 3 party rooms that I think I saw and a small food court which my husband said too bad we didn't come here first. Will definitely bring the kid back here to play in the near future.

We came here for brunch one morning. We loved the vast menu options. I settled for the Bo Ne which was the perfect brunch option coming with 3 various meats, egg, and freshly toasted french bread. I cannot wait to come back and get it again! Don't forget to try their coffee as well!

I've driven past this place many times, on my way to Kaiser, in Lincoln (we live in Nevada City). It was my husband's birthday so I suggested we stop by on a Monday afternoon, before our celebratory dinner in Roseville at 6pm. Our bartender, Becky, was amazing - Very professional, VERY friendly and helpful to us, offering us local info on some great restaurants, next time we're in the area. While we were there, one of the patrons ordered a beef sandwich and it looked amazing - so we'll definitely make time for food the next time we come. Even though it's 1-hour away from us, I think we'll be coming back next for the Sunday afternoon Rock and Blues from 2-6!All of the patrons at the bar were very friendly and welcoming - I never got a clique-ish vibe at all, which was really nice. This is the perfect place to relax on a quiet Monday afternoon, for a beer or drink and to make some new friends. They also have lots of fun activities during the week including Country Line Dancing, Karaoke and several bands. Check them out on the web @ https://www.valenciaclubpenryn.com/events and FB @ https://www.facebook.com/events/penryn-california/valencia-club/1073892673355804/

Steve the bartender is really nice. Drinks are reasonably priced. Restrooms are spacious and clean and have luxurious amenities in the ladies room. Hand sanitizer is always available. Karaoke several nights a week. Pool tables, a back patio, firepits on tables in back, lottery available and good parking.

We came in to sing Karaoke. They had the game playing, so we had to wait. The game went into overtime... so no we didn't get the opportunity to sing. We were bummed.

Feel I must offer a shout out to owner? Manager? Attended a funeral reception on Friday (I know, strange place but it worked), the attention to detail as far as the food and drink went was stellar. Evident that they cared! Food was delicious, pleasantly presented and plentiful. They really tried to make it nice and they did. As for the bartender, different story, maybe she was overwhelmed as she was by herself, she wasn't pleasant. Overall kudos to this place for lightening the mood. Job well done.

I like this spot. It was my 1st time going (Sat 4/27), and I enjoyed myself. Drinks are pretty good, and the food is decent as well. There were a few minor hiccups in the beginning, but Dustin (bartender/server) was on top of everything. They had a live band going on outside, which was cool, and Tanya (server/bartender) is super lit. I definitely loved her energy. I'll for surely be returning. I hear they have a lot of great events coming up over the next couple weeks, I have to get back on my Facebook so I can follow them and see what they're cooking up for the upcoming weeks. I definitely recommend everyone check them out. It's a good environment to have team building for work, or if friends just want to hang out.

"Catering/food review only, because you either like Swiss Buda for the old school dive bar that it is or you don't -- i like it, but it's not for everyone. But Eric's food... that is for everyone. (Except maybe you're annoying gluten free vegan macrobiotic whatevers..whatever... if that's your crew, you probably should be thinking about food at Swiss Buda. That said, we do a lot of catering in my office and we have diverse and picky people with all manner or preferences and issues. And they LOVE Swiss Buda. I won't even tell my team that it's WAY less expensive than the WAY-less-good Mendocino Farms up the way. The love the tri tip and chicken sandwiches, the BBQ sauce, the potato salad (which is the best potato salad you can get catered. Anywhere.) and even the green salad. But if you're eating in, the options are even more wonderful, flavorful, and varied. People have reviewed about ribs and brisket and chicken, and they are right. But don't overlook an outstanding pork chop sandwich, or the unsung hero that is their shrimp po boy. The food. The food. The food."
"I loved that there was karaoke and drinks flowing. Head to the back and it's even bigger and lots of room for everyone! Glad my friend took me here! I can see coming back!!"
"Staff was very friendly and my girls and i had a great time. Bathrooms are very clean and the beef skewers were delicious!"
"Grand Hotpot Lounge is my husband and I's current favorite spot for hotpot. Every family member we've brought to Grand Hotpot Lounge has loved it as well. It's located in the same plaza as Rice Bowl used to be. The plaza itself is fairly dingy looking, but there's plenty of parking and still feels relatively safe. You can call in for reservations, but it has never been overly busy each time we've gone for lunch or dinner.Despite it not being crowded, the food and service is great. Love the huge menu, selection of delicious drinks, and the sauce bar. The self-serve ice cream is always a hit.Be careful over-ordering as they serve the items based on how many people are at the table! We made that mistake during our first visit.Birthday person can eat free day of if there's a party of four or more, so it's a great spot to celebrate with family."
"Honestly I was a little skeptical when our friend said we are going to this spot since I checked out the review beforehand... But I'm glad to try this place out:We decided to do family style so we tried out a bunch of dishes:Sorry no picture because food came out fast and we ate it also very fast.First the ginseng chicken soup was a nice light starter. We were a party of 8 so it was on the small end. They decided to give us a free tomato beef soup to give us a little more. It was my friend's birthday so maybe that's why we got some freebies! We also got free ice lemon tea. It was soooo good .. I got a refill We all enjoy the eggplant with fish dish. Can't go wrong with the fried squid either. The long tentacle bit was battered right for a perfect crunch.Curry chicken was ok I don't like chicken stuff in general.Dried scallop fried rice was good , light to go with the other dishes. There was a pepper honey beef ribs , the flavor was good but it was a little chewy so use your hands to eat easier.Garlic yu choy was solid. Then we did karaoke for 2 hours and had a lot of fun. Pretty good place. The food hit right during our visit and the service was good. Not understanding the negativity"
"The essential dive bar of dove bars ! Karoake , They grill burgers on a BBQ served on paper plates kind of vibe. Cheap drinks , a house dog named Daisy , and just a great hole in the wall to kick back and have some fun. What a great spot ! plenty of places to park , huge outdoor but inclosed/covered patio that you smokers can smoke in. I had a great time and if you love karaoke barley a wait here kids . So much fun and one of a kind."
"Dive Bar in Roseville CAOnce my friend mentioned that Almond Tree offered Loco Moco on their breakfast menu I had a spur of the moment craving for this Hawaiian dish... in 30 mins or so we were both sitting inside a dimly lit dive bar. I'm just glad Belinda was game and kept me company LoL!We met at around 5:15p and the tables were pretty empty. Oh the place wasn't empty, there were people alright... they were either around the bar area or inside the enclosed smoking room. This dive bar is known as the "Cheers Bar of Roseville." Although I wanted to try some apps from their Happy Hour menu I really came here for the Loco Moco. Happy Hour is Mon - Fri 3pm - 6pm and Late Night Happy Hour from Midnight - 2am. Loco Moco: the presentation was pretty and some of the locals even came up to us curious asking what it was. The portion was just right for the price of $14. Everything was good except we both agreed that the meat was a little tough. It is usually served during breakfast but just so happens the cook that makes it was there tonight so we were able to order it. Our waitress came by to take our orders. She was nice and friendly but we saw her far and few in between. She was also the bartender so she was busy. No entertainment on this Wednesday evening... I'm not sure when they have their karaoke and dance nights. Maybe Belinda and I will join their karaoke one night. NOT. Review #2767"
"I LOVE Faces!! Anytime I feel like dancing, it's my go to place! What I love about it is the three separate dance rooms. When you want a change in music just head to another room. I feel safe and secure here too! Security guards are always around watching to make sure everything is ok. Bartenders are always friendly and make delicious drinks!!"
"Scotty's Hideaway is OV's hidden secret! What a fun spot, everyone needs to come and check it out for a good time! Had the opportunity to visit Scotty's last Saturday! Not really having expectations, this isn't like your normal neighborhood dive bar - it's way better! They have a huge bar, with pool tables, KARAOKE, and they also have a fun outdoor area with corn hole! I can't believe how much fun I had last Saturday! The owner Scotty, is super chill and is so welcoming! Everyone should check out Scotty's hideaway, drinks are very reasonable and overall you're going to have fun at this local spot! *Towards the end of the night, I might've had one too many drinks - sorry Scotty! :) Thanks for a good time, tho!"
"Glad To Be Back In This HoodSITREPI've been hitting Press Club since the late 90s (wayyyy back in my pre-Yelp days before 2010). Since I've been yelping, I wrote my last review (2-Stars) back in early 2012, more than six (6) years ago. It was a time of decline in my enjoyment of this venue at the end of a personal run of about 15 years - it was just time to say "goodbye". But as is the way of the world, "Everything Crashes", and sometimes for the better - fresh starts happens, romances are rekindled - and now the last couple of months I've been coming BACK to check out the latest musical offerings on some really fun kick-ass nights.Consequently, to be fair, I've "Blitzed" getting this update finished.THE SETUPThere are some duos of DJs I really enjoy following and, as it turns out, Press Club is the home of their event nights. So I would be remiss in not coming here as long as they are DJs-in-residence, and also in giving Press Club an updated shout-out for recognizing these multitalented folks. In order of Press Club's event-resurgence for me: * "BLITZED" On monthly Thursdays now in Nov and Dec, DJ Dada (aka Michael G.) and DJ Lady Grey (aka Kylie J.) spin the moods & tones, in & out of Post-Punk along with healthy tracks of synth, minimal, new & dark wave along with some mutant disco realms.https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=8l11RY6bCPtXSC5yol20pQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w It's the kind of format where while dancing your mind spins along on a transcendental rhythmic plane. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=GeKlCzRLQ4mygJgWRxjHRQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w And I love their complementary styles! Dada is an experience, consummate DJ I've known almost as long as I've been in Northern California (32 years - born, raised & graduated high school in D.C. before going Westward) - he brings an indepth knowledge of musicology that is a treat to listen to like a layered dessert. Lady Grey is *BREAKS* the norm, with almost an invigorating youthful brashness, mixing it up, cross formatting, cross-genres. I love their teamwork.* "EVERY THING CRASH" My friend - AND fellow Yelper - DJ Reggaedelic (aka Nina C.) is part of duo bringing some of the best Funk and Reggae on the event night "EVERY THING CRASH!" https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=i6kAJB1JpqRwgThaL6OmYw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wWhat a blast and a half to be swept away by the rhythmic Caribbean vibe!https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=98rRyetYqRJUuYdtkhMkoA&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w* "BOOGIE A GO GO" And then DJ Reggaedelic makes a REappearance behind the mixing board with her BEST BUDDY DJ Annimal (aka yelper Ann T.) for Boogie A Go Go's ALL VINYL DANCE PARTY! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=mptmbnlTh-zhU4fLxE9GsA&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w The 2 dynamic ladies "bring it" with their fusion "one-two-*punch*" format, where DJ Annimal kills it with 1960s garage, pop, and bubblegum.https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=w5vb68r45_hqj07zdIh09Q&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w And then DJ Reggaedelic knocks it outta the park with her 1960s Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=wGB_SfPw5piLKzflN7qbrg&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w It's adorable to see them LUG in their crates of original vinyl - 45s to albums. [In some twisted dreamy beach movie, I see them STILL jumping up and down on one of their beds, playing records on their Scooby Doo player, sharing their 45s like they were in 7th grade.] Like me, these muses are avid Yelpers, and we really bonded over the Yelp Halloween party and so naturally I've been *stalking* their musical gigs since.... :DTHE BARThe drinks are some of the most reasonably priced you can find anywhere in the Downtown Sac arena. So take advantage of them!https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/press-club-sacramento?select=e8fzdTbotLL-EJmrx9wuTw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wTHE LOWDOWNA venue that has REappeared on my radar and I will enjoy as long as it remains relevant to my music joys and loyal to my favorite DJs. You should too, so make sure to "Boogie (a Go Go)" on over to Press Club!"
"More like 7-8 stars alone for Mike, the singing bartender! This guy is amazing! He was welcoming and attentive as soon as I went up to the bar to order our drinks, which happened to also be at the same time the kj was handing him the mic to sing the next song. I ordered 2 long islands and he started making the drinks AND started singing his karoke song! He did not skip a beat to either task! Not only can he sing but he makes strong drinks! I gave him a $5 tip and a $20 bill to cover the drinks, and walked away. A few minutes later he came over to our table and said that I gave him a $50 bill, not a $20, which he figured I meant to give, and gave me my change back. He just earned all of my respect!!!! The tables felt like they had maple syrup on 'em, but the bar seemed clean, otherwise. No food offerings. Smokers patio, darts, tvs, and a hunting video game available. The kj host has a great voice and seems fair about the rotation of singers. She doesn't have a song book to choose from though, and the Saturday night we went, she had some technical difficulties. The crowd was diverse and chill, but we weren't really feeling it for karaoke that night for whatever reason. Still, the Maple Room Lounge is a solid spot for a dive bar in the Arden area."
"Star KTV is one of my go to spots when I'm craving Chinese food. It's open until 2am which is nice when I'm craving a late night meal. I usually come here with my friends and we go a little over board with ordering since we want to try everything. What we ordered:French fries Salt Pepper Chicken WingsHoney Walnut Shrimp Fillet Eggplant PotShrimp with Egg Chow FunSide of RiceEverything I listed here is delicious! My favorite item personally is the filet eggplant pot and chicken wings. I would order that if I went here alone. I walk in hungry and I leave being full. The employees were super nice and helpful if you need anything. They were constantly asking about filling our waters. The inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe to it and they have TVs playing music all around the room. Also, they serve boba / smoothie drinks here as wellI'll be back here again soon. Thank you Star KTV!"
