Do yourself a favor and ask to be seated on the patio and let your monsters (I mean kids) go play on the play structure while you enjoy a nice night and some sparkling rose. The cajun pasta is a go to for me and I usually have enough to eat the next day. My Son is always a fan of the build your own pizza and brags about how cool it is he made to anyone around who will listen. They have a great selection of happy hour food/drinks and the service is pretty good. Shout out to the bar tender there and her peaches. No really (no HR case here), she brings her own peaches and makes the BEST sangria you could think of. Solid family oriented restaurant in the heart of Rocklin who can let us sip in peace while the kids get all the energy out. PS: in house brewery and gelato- YES PLEASE!"

Ruchi B. "My family was on way to Kirkwood to go ski. We decided to spend the night in Jackson which is 1 hr from Kirkwood. Its a small town where we found this family-operated italian place. Its on opposite direction of the downtown. A small place with limited seating, we had to wait 10-15 min to get a table. It was worth the wait. They had 2-4 vegetarian pasta options and a couple of flatbreads/pizza options but they were not available for dinner. We ordered a ravioli and a pasta dish that both came with side of house salad and garlic bread. Both preparations were very good. Their soups are made in chicken broth, so not recommended for vegetarians. Their wine was good as well. All in all only few options available for vegetarians but they all taste very good."

Regina L. "La Porta is my new fav spot to dine in Sacramento, ever since my first time here for dinner, when I enjoyed the best beets and burrata salad I have EVER tasted, and one of the best creamy penne Alfredo with chicken my taste buds have enjoyed. This 2nd time around, I aimed to try their Detroit pizzas, so I ordered the Belluno. The portion is so huge that I enjoyed it for three more meals at home!!! The pesto, HUGE roasted garlic, and all of the toppings (except the Calabrian chilis I needed to remove for dietary restriction reason), plus the delicious, crispy, cheesy crust edge, make the most perfect flavor combo, so much that I now consider this pizza one for the books for this foodie! In addition, their house salad is extremely delicious with their balsamic vinaigrette that I especially enjoyed because it was not overpowering with being sour like I have often experienced in other restaurants. Service is excellent and their booths are very comfortable. I can't wait to go back and try another item on their menu!"

It's in a strip mall along Sunrise Blvd. Lots of parking. The place is a good size. I thought it was connected to Il Fornaio's but they are totally different. I think owned by one family. It was funny. When I was walking up to the front. The sign kind of reminded me of a card house or casino. The wife got fettuccini with mushrooms and she really liked it. I got the lamb chops and they were good too. I wish there was more meat. Still , nice flavor. I don't like polenta but theirs wasn't to bad . They had lasagna and it was good too. Her brother had to return his since the side was burnt. They gave him another one and it was all good. We had a nice time and would try this place again."

Dominick's in Granite Bay, CA has a muffuletta sandwich that is better than all of the New York and Philly area delis that is unbeatable in quality and price. In the last ten years when a craving for authentic deli sandwiches strikes, this has been my go to.The service is amazing and the sandwiches are sliced/made fresh on the spot. The deli meats are the best you can get west of the Mississippi. They also have a full Italian menu for family feasts so you can bring the kiddos too. There is outside seating in the deli area or inside seating at the attached restaurant/bar next door.I highly recommend Dominick's especially for the east coasters looking for that authentic deli taste that the sandwich chains will never be."

Tara K. "My friend and I went here for dessert after Mexican food at El Balcon. We sat at the bar, the bartender was very nice and helped us decide on which dessert to try. We split the Cream Brûlée and the flourless Chocolate Cake. They were both magnificent. The Brûlée was creamy with a fresh raspberry compote on top of the sugar shell. My friend had never had Cream Brûlée, needless to say, I got 2.5 bites of it. The flourless chocolate cake was just as divine as the Brûlée. It was dense, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. It was served with a healthy scoop of fresh whipped cream. Both of these desserts were decadent and masterfully delicious. I will be back to try dinner! Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the desserts. I did however, take a pic of their 1942 tequila This restaurant would be a perfect date night place, the ambiance was bougie and elegant. Have to try and get a different dish next time! Yet, I will say that their desserts are really good!!! I had the Lemon-cello. It's imported from Italy. It's a bit on the sweet side, but so delicious!!! I was really surprised that their Tiramisu was so dang good!!! I don't like to taste of alcohol at all. I couldn't even taste it in this tiramisu. Most restaurants are heavy-handed on the alcohol. this was really light, delicate, and just the perfect amount of sweetness! I would go there just for the desserts! Which is funny since I'm not much of a sweets person. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful! Willing to give recommendations and take the time to explain it to you. Then, for the entrée Bolognese. We got the appetizers very quick but, the entree took awhile. But, it was all very good! Steven H. "The Grotto is a tasty addition to Rio Linda- a place many might consider Sacramento's backwater. As of this writing, The Grotto has only been open about a week... so while they are still working things out, the food really shines. THE PROS: The ambiance is like a fine dining cafeteria. Linens and real table settings in a large casual space. Not stuffy at all, and no paper napkins or plastic forks. The food was delicious. All the food, including the pasta was fresh. Sauces were on point. . Our pasta came with an oversized hunk of crusty garlic bread. The prices were in-line with any mid-town eatery, each of our entrees was in the low $20s. A nice touch is that a cup of hot fresh "cowboy" coffee is only $2THE CONS: While not really an issue, the staff is new and still coming up to speed, so for now allow a bit of time and grace with your meal. Deserts were quite tasty, but they due run about $10 apiece. THE BOTTOM LINE: Yes, eat here. If you are anywhere near Rio Linda, it really is nice to have a place that knows the locals actually do appreciate food that you don't eat in a car, but that jeans and a hoodie are not a problem. There really is a little something for every taste, and it should only get better over time"

Jen D. "Bewilderingly hit-and-miss. The appetizers (mushroom sweetbread, gnocchi) were breathtakingly phenomenal, perfectly designed and perfectly implemented, but then the entrees were weirdly disappointing. The scallops were well cooked but bland, and the unexciting risotto they come with did not feel like it justified the price tag. The jerk chicken was not particularly notable. The tiramisu looked great but that's unfortunately the nicest thing I have to say about it; it was decent with the inexplicable extra granulated sugar scraped off the top. On the drinks front... The modified old fashioned on the menu was exceptional up front but becomes over-spiced if you take too long to drink it, which I don't love for a relaxed dinner date. The selection of dessert drinks and coffees, however, was unusually good - love a place that'll cheerfully indulge my husband's desire for a post-dinner espresso! And the service was lovely throughout.Overall so close to perfect. At 3/4ths the price point I would have been uncomplicatedly thrilled, but at $100+/person after tip the standard is high, you know? This would almost certainly be a standout place to drop by for a drink and a snack at the bar, but the full sit down experience wasn't quite there."
