"This is my favorite poke place whenever I'm in the Rancho area. I don't live near it and try to visit once a month when we go to the office. If I lived close by, I would be scared of my mercury levels because I'd eat at Poke Cube at least twice a week.Last year, during election season, I picked the location to drop off my ballot that was closest to Poke Cube because I was craving it.I love their online ordering feature so that I can pick it up during lunch but the times I decided to just order in person, I've always found that the staff are friendly, patient, and great. I have no complaints regarding service or food! I found the establishment to always be clean and well stocked with take out utensils. Whoever manages this place is doing a great job. :)Ok, the poke! The fish is fresh and I've never found myself disappointed with the quality. I am a fresh fish snob and I'm annoyingly picky with my raw fish consumption. Yes, I've been to Japan twice so that's why I'm cursed. But Poke Cube cures me. I trust their fish! I've been ordering from Poke Cube on a consistent basis for a couple years now. It's such a treat for the times that we're in the office and I have something yummy to look forward to eating at lunchtime. In terms of their protein, I've tried their tako (octopus), shrimp, tofu, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. I've never had an issue with any of their toppings and have had 2 scoops of the crab salad before. If I had a friend who has never had poke before, I will gladly yap about this place!Parking is easy. Never had an issue. All in all, I highly recommend this place! My coworker talked about Poke Cube, I tried it out, and I don't think I'll ever stop visiting unless I moved to Mars."
"West Sacramento got a new restaurant and it's pretty damn good! Their ramen stood out for me and with the cold weather coming I'll most definitely be doing that again soon. Their chicken katsu was crispy, the bbq chicken had a great marinade and each bite was juicy. The macaroni salad was lacking a bit in ingredients, I prefer the one at L&L Hawaiin bbq but I'm not opposed to JJ's. The garlic noodles were something I had to try as it has become a favorite dish of mine. JJ's did not disappoint! The noodles had a great flavor. Plenty of garlic. Loved it.Service here was really good. The servers and cashiers were nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean. Parking here is car friendly. Glad to see West Sacramento has a restaurant that will bring in people and keep them coming back."

"Good portions, Fair pricesSince I made a special trip here for Blend I looked for a place to grab lunch while I was in the area. I found this counter-service restaurant serving Hawaiian food right next to Raley's. I placed my order for a Loco Moco and Spam Musubi. I love Loco Moco... perfect for lunch, dinner, or even as a breakfast. Took some time since it was made to order. The Loco Moco was okay except the fried egg was overcooked. No, no, no... it is supposed to be cooked sunny-side-up! The traditional Loco Moco should always feature runny sunny-side-up eggs! The idea behind it is to pop the egg yolk so it pours all over the rice. Anyway, the beef patty was placed on a bed of cabbage with not enough brown gravy (in my opinion)... the gravy makes all the difference! but they did give a generous scoop of rice. I split this plate lunch with the hubby. I liked the Mac salad. The Spam Musubi was huge (so much rice!). The order came with two pieces and my daughter ate the other piece.I'll be back to try the other BBQ lunch plates... for now 3-1/2 Stars.Review #2671"
"I've stopped by Poke Noke here and there for the past few years since I live around the area. I usually visit when I'm craving something specifically [usually a small bite/appetizer), or because I want [Pearls] boba which is right next door so I might as well get poke.My high rating is because I do feel like I'm given a decent portion for the 3-scoop bowl and the ingredients are fair quality and appear fresh. The protein options are normally stocked with chunky pieces of fish and there's a variety of sauces and toppings to choose from, ranging from spicy aioli to ponzus to gochujang - you'll find something you'll like. I also enjoy the small bites and have ordered different items: [spam] musubi, noke fries, potstickers, potato croquettes, etc.); I'm only disappointed when the specific item I'm craving is out of stock. They have several drink options besides just regular soda (I believe they have tea, Ramune, alcohol, etc.). It's nice that they have other menu items besides just poké, though that is the main highlight. The staff is also usually friendly, patient, and helpful when you're ordering, which contributes greatly to a good customer experience if you're not a poké expert and unsure of what to order, or even if you're still considering your options, it does not feel like you're being rushed. I feel like the staff changes often so I usually see a different face when I visit (I stop by maybe every couple of months), but as long as the service is consistent, I won't have any issues.Poke Noke is small and only has a few seats inside and outside, so it does feel more like it's meant for takeout, but I have dined inside before. It's fairly clean enough, but nothing that particularly stands out to me besides the artwork on the walls. My only con is that I feel like it's quite expensive for poké. $20 for a 3-scoop bowl is a bit hefty, and that's not including any extras like $1.75 to add a scoop of [imitation] crab. The appetizers/small bites average about $8 and if you include a drink, just for a single meal is almost as pricey as dining in at a restaurant. For a solo customer, you're spending about $20-$35 if you're craving poké. I went today with my son and spent about $50 for two 3-scoop bowls and potato croquettes. Although it's tasty and we took it home to eat, it costs as much as if we went out to eat. Their only "discount/rewards" program is through the Five Stars app but I don't really accrue enough for any discounts compared to my go-to poké place that utilizes [local by] Toast app, which I feel like has a better rewards system to incentivize me to return. Although I do enjoy the poké here, this is just an occasional treat because of the pricing."
""Too tasty, I'm addicted."Best Loco Moco I have ever eaten! Even better than the ones I've tried in Oahu and Maui!Rice is cook perfectly sticky. And Macaroni salad is bomb! Chicken Katsu Is crunchy and savory, totally tasty!"
"Always kind I love the rewards program and the BBQ MIX PLATE, my daughter loved the masubi !!! Clean establishment !!"
"Food is good. Customer service could use a little help. First time I was here they only had enough teriyaki chicken for one mini bowl so my other son was without food and we had to go somewhere else for him. I gave the establishment a second try today and it looks like they had some teriyaki chicken for a bowl. I like that I can get a variety of toppings! I wanted a drink also but totally forgot about it while paying. The female cashier rang us up without asking if we wanted anything else or I wouldn't have forgotten. Anyhow I shall return to try other options."
"Great poke spot!!!! I don't like raw fish and they offer tons of cooked stuff for your poke. They aren't chintzy with the sauce and their portions are legit. Service was very nice both times, too. They also have bowls like teriyaki bowls with salmon or chicken etc but those require a short wait. I loved this place and went back two short days later!"
"Ono Hawaiian BBQ is located behind Sac City in the Crocker Village Plaza, with plenty of parking, and both indoor and outdoor seating. I've been to this location several times, and each visit has been delicious. It's the perfect spot for a post-gym meal, especially when you're craving chicken and rice. One of my favorites is the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Aloha Plate, which comes with BBQ chicken, three scoops of rice, and fresh mixed salad. It's a healthy, filling, and satisfying meal. The salad is always crisp and flavorful, while the BBQ chicken is tender and juicy. There is also a station to the side for soda, teriyaki sauce, katsu sauce, and utensils. The staff at this location are friendly and quick at preparing orders. Be sure to sign up and download their app to stay updated on their latest promotions.I will be back to try the Kalua Pork!"
"Hawaiian comfort food and more [Sacramento CA]We dined here with a couple of friends during the week and sampled many of their specialties. We met owner, William, who was very nice and generous to our party of 4. A Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that serves tacos? Heck yes! Beef, Pork, Chicken and Shrimp taco... so good! A Hawaiian BBQ that offers fried chicken? You know it! We tasted the best fried chicken... juicy and most flavorful golden crispy chicken. The BBQ Mix Combo Pack included a combination of succulent beef, chicken, and short ribs. The Seafood Combo included fried shrimp and fish fillet... all flavorful and delicious. Let's not forget the Chicken Katsu, French fries and the pork lumpia. And what's a Hawaiian meal without scoops of macaroni salad, yes please. Oh man, we were stuffed. Luckily, we all had a second stomach because we had desserts after that... chocolate milkshake, hot fudge sundae (for me) and our friends each had a banana split. JR and I enjoyed the company of Michael and Vince while we indulged in Hawaiian comfort food and then some... wish they had a location in Roseville because their fried chicken is fire! Review #3470"
"I've only been here a few times and had different menu items. Everything has always been really good, the employees are always nice and you don't have to wait too long for your food either."
"A return visit to my FAV poke restaurant. While the indoor seating has been reduced to only 3 tables, the service (poke maker) and quality of the protein still remains top notch IMHO. Upon my arrival the server was finishing up preparing a To-Go order. Watching him meticulously place the final topping ... I knew I was in for a perfectly made bowl. Indeed it was. 5 protein bowl w 2 scoops of ahi tuna, yellowtail, octopus & clams over a bed of soba noodles n salad. My Go-To poke restaurant. Thank you!."

AWARENESS:January 2025, I was back and staying in the West Sacto area again and, I wanted to try something new and different. JJ's Looked good and had great reviews so, here's what its looking like.NARRATIVE:My wife and I stayed in the West Sacramento area back in January to visit our daughter and of course when my daughter showed up, she was carrying a car load of her friends who were hungry. After pulling out the Yelp app and finding JJ's Hawaiian BBQ close by, it was agreed this would be dinner for tonight. The great thing about my daughter bringing her friends actually worked out great because, everyone wanted something different to eat. Meaning, since I was buying, I got to sample their goods before them.** Food items purchased **Salmon Sushi Burrito ****Garlic Shrimp ****Combination Udon Soup ***Pot Stickers **Moco Loco, eggs over medium ****Spam Musubi ***Vegetable Egg Rolls **Garlic Noodles *****Chicken Katsu ***Deep Fried Spam ******* Good but very average*** Good and tasty but again, average**** Great tasting. Done to perfection!***** I would drive an hour to eat this again!! SCENE:JJ's Hawaiian BBQ is located right off of W Capitol Avenue and Walnut Street in the West Sacramento area.EVIDENCE:Reviews speak for themselves.RECOMMENDATION(S):When I'm back in the West Sacto area, I WILL be back I highly recommend giving this establishment some of your time.

Upon entering from the Raleys parking lot, you'll find a cozy Hawaiian food restaurant nestled next door. Above the register, a few specials are displayed, though not all are shown. Menus are taped to the register for easy access.Prices here are notably lower compared to DoorDash. The BBQ Mix was $3.80 cheaper than DoorDash with no silly service fees.I ordered the BBQ mix and Egg Rolls from this place. Despite the menu stating a 4-piece egg roll, both in person and on DoorDash, it actually comes with 5 egg rolls. I noticed that the portion size of chicken and short ribs in the BBQ mix was less compared to other Hawaiian BBQ joints in Sacramento County. There is one unisex restroom available.During my visit, I noticed one worker managing both the skillets and the register, while another was tending to the in-house BBQ. They appeared to be a father-and-son team.As a tip, students and seniors over 65 receive a 10% discount.Additionally, the daily special includes a complimentary drink.

Quick stop by to grab a few snacks for the road. The crispy tofu was amazing so garlicky! Taco had good flavor. Servers were helpful and answered all my questions. Pretty basic little place felt more like a to go spot.

The staff here truly makes this place shine. Locally owned and operated, the food is consistently good and tasty. I've been in the Sac area for almost 20 years and this is the best L&L in the Sacramento area. They just put in high top tables with stools which has created a nice atmosphere. They recently expanded the dessert options with Kauai cookies, Hawaiian Host chocolates and some good-looking boba ice cream pints with flavors like green tea, ube & honeydew. I'll be going back to support this yummy place very soon! See you there.

I haven't been to the spot yet, but boy was I surprised I was greeted so sweetly by Leilani and she was very patient with my order. I got an ahi burrito & a lychee lemonade. Nubia was also very kind and greeted me as soon as she saw me. The people who work here are amazing. The ambience is really nice as well. It's very much a fresh and modern look. I would definitely come back here and if you're in Elk Grove and you're craving pokey, you should come to ahipoki.

Chaodown Poki serves up made-to-order bowls with a generous amount of fixings! I stopped by on Sunday afternoon, and there was no wait. Service was fast, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I choose to take my order home, but there's seating inside if you prefer to dine in. The store is well kept and clean. When I got home, I was excited to dig in. I ordered a regular bowl (half white rice and half spring mix) with tuna and yellow tail as my proteins, three sauces, and too many toppings. My stand out toppings were the kimchi and crushed peanuts. Surprisingly, avocado wasn't an option; however, I still enjoyed my bowl without it. The fish was separated out so that I could mix it in to my liking. Overall, Chaodown satisfied my poke craving!

"Food: 5The octopus legs are a must have. I ordered the garlic ramen. It was very rich in flavor but the garlic wasn't over powering.Service: 5. You order in the front and pay ahead of time. Love how it's quick Ambiance: 5 I put a 5. It's a nice "fast food" ramen place. It was cozy and clean. Everything is self help which is also nice."
"I don't go to this location that much anymore because there are other Hawaiian bbq spots nearby and their service isn't that good, but when I do I would get their chicken katsu. They give a good amount of chicken and it is very crispy, but the meat is thin. Sometimes I get scared it is not cooked all the way because the meat would be a little pink. They are also stingy with their sauce now. They used to have a self serve katsu sauce station a few years ago. They only give one little container of katsu sauce now, which is not enough. Service is okay because the people who take the orders are not that friendly. It felt a little gloomy in the store because they do not have much lighting and it was empty during lunch time. A few people came in for takeout while I was waiting, and my order took almost 10 minutes to come out."
"I usually frequent LL but saw the reviews from this place and decided - why not? - good portions - good taste - good service I'd go back !"
"I picked up an order to go a couple weeks ago. I ordered a regular size chicken katsu plate and a soda - it came out to $24 approx. Admittedly I was disappointed the portion was so small. It looked like a child's size portion that was being charged for the full size. The food was good and I enjoyed it. The service was nice but I didn't interact with them too much since I had already paid and was just there to pick up. The store was clean and there is a self service station for your sauces and soda. I will try to go back again before doing a more in depth review to see if I get a small portion for the price again or if it was a fluke."
"The food here is always on point. The service has been friendly as well. It is a small place so not the best for dine in if you have a large party. I would recommend having cash just in case because sometimes their internet provider fails them and they can't take credit cards. A good clue for this is if you call there to place an order and it won't connect they are having internet issues. I went there the other day after noticing this and received excellent service."
"Poke Fix always satisfies my poke bowl cravings!! A friend had actually recommended this spot to me.Service is friendly! They surprisingly don't skimp out and fill my poke bowls very nicely! So no complaints here:) I usually do a regular size create your own poke bowl with half sushi rice and half salad. They have a good variety of proteins, sauce, veggies & toppings. I have yet to try other items on the menu, there's so many to choose from!"
"Service: I would give 10 out of 10 just for service alone; but since I can only do a rating of 5, then 5 out of 5 it is. My sister and I had 3 small children with us, and though they did not have a children's menu, the owner was extremely welcoming. He brought paper and crayons for our kids to color. He even made sure to give our littles plastic spoons without us even having to ask. He constantly checked on us throughout the night, made jokes with the kids, and even made an effort to come out to say goodbye to us as we were leaving. He definitely went above and beyond!Ambiance: Nice decor. Everything was clean. Bathroom was clean. Lots of parking. Loved the option of chairs and/or bench seating.Food: Hawaiian food is typically on the heavier side, but I'd have to say, if it can be a bit lighter, then that's what they did here. The garlic shrimp plate was delicious! It would have to be my #1 recommendation here. I loved that the shrimp were not only a good size, but already peeled. The sauce was perfectly flavored. I liked that you can do half and half on the rice, so we were able to try both the sushi rice and the brown rice. The Mac Salad was tasty as well. I could have done without the Moco Loco, but my 2 year old really enjoyed it. The sauce wasn't the best in my opinion; but the eggs was perfectly cooked. I especially liked that they let you get a half order instead of a whole order because I knew my 2 year old was not going to be able to finish a whole plate on her own. The chicken katsu was perfectly fried. The chicken was tender. We could have done without the spam musubi, but it wasn't bad. Just not worth the price.Dessert: I'd definitely recommend the butter mochi with guava ice cream! It was a hit at our table. The mini hula pie was not a favorite of ours. The rum whip would be good for people who enjoy rum, but it was definitely not very kid-friendly.Overall, the owner made the place so welcoming that even though this was our first time here, it won't be our last."
"I've been on a little bit of a Hawaiian BBQ kick this past year, so, the last time I was in Davis, I stopped by Tim's Hawaiian BBQ for dinner.I chose this place based on the crowd-- it was beyond packed with college students, which told me that I would probably get a good value for whatever price I paid for my meal.I also noticed the aroma from about half a block away, and it smelled incredible.I ordered the half and half combo plate with short ribs and chicken katsu, with sauce on the side, to go. It also came with one scoop of macaroni salad, and two scoops of rice. Even though there was a huge crowd, I didn't have to wait very long for my food to come out. Staff was friendly, and everything looked relatively clean. The portion sizes were very generous. There was enough for nearly three meals. I could have easily split this with someone, and still gotten full. The portion of ribs was particularly generous. The flavor was very good, but not my favorite of all time. I could see why it was popular with the college students, but also why it was on the cheaper side. I would definitely try this place out again next time I'm in Davis."
"We had the Hawaiian mixed plate (bbq beef and pork) and poke nachos! Everything was yummy! Only nit picky things for me were a little too much mayo on the poke nachos, but oddly enough, not enough in Mac salad I think. Restaurant was cozy and service was great! Everything came out timely. We'll be back!"
"We were out and about and looking for something light to share or snack on to keep us moving mid day.AhiPoki was perfect destination on our adventuresome day.We stopped in and found plenty of items to choose from. Started with the spam musubi's (2ea per order) they were delightful and delicious as well as the crab salad hand wrap with avocado. We also got the Sriracha shrimp bowl. Just the perfect amount of Sriracha on them and then to choose all your other options for sides in made it amazing.Service was excellent and place was clean and tidy.Parking is abundant of spots outside in the lot.Definitely worth a try if looking for something quick, easy, delicious and shareable."
"Huge portions at great prices. Menu has tons of options. Food is fast and served continently in to-go containers."
"Kazoku is my favorite lunch spot. I've been coming here for years. Kristi is great and always greets me by name. She knows all her loyal customers. The service by everyone is awesome. I've tried most of the entrees but Sesame Garlic Chicken is my go to. The Teriyaki Noodle with Chicken and Chicken Curry Yakisoba are also great. The make a Carrot Slider (DF Carrot with spicy tuna and avocado with teriyaki sauce) that is one of my favorite sushi dishes. Highly recommend"
"Ordered some catering trays for work and asked for a pickup time of 11am next day. It's challenging to find places that have food ready at 11 these days. The staff checked with the owner who agreed to call staff in early to accommodate the request. Thank you! The team at work enjoyed the BBQ chicken, chicken katsu, and macaroni salad. Tip: They will cut up BBQ chicken upon request. Thought we might have some leftovers. NOPE! I ended up submitting an online order for dinner. Glad I did because there was a line when I arrived. My son loves the BBQ mix plate. Very flavorful and great portion size. Snapped a few pics before son ate it up! Good service and food. L&L also supports local organization through dining fundraisers too."
"Easy to find in the parking lot, fish looks fresh, very clean inside. We were hungry after a trip to Ikea and poke sounded delicious. The prices were great, the service was also fantastic. They were very kind and patient (I'm indecisive.) lol"
"So I'll base my review off the only two items I'll regularly order: the chicken katsu and spam musubi. I've also had the bbq mix before and it's good, but the real stars of this place are the chicken katsu and spam musubi. There's nothing too special about the spam musubi, it's just consistently good, so I'll focus mostly on the katsu.Their chicken katsu is legit the best chicken katsu I've ever had. I've tried chicken katsu at many different restaurants, even other L&Ls (the one in EG is not as good fyi) and nothing comes close to this location's chicken katsu and katsu sauce! It's always crispy, juicy, and flavorful and amazing when dipped in the katsu sauce. Their mac salad is also some of the best I've had as well. Pro tip: the default meal comes with 2 scoops of rice and 1 mac, but you can switch the scoops up for free and I always go 1 rice 2 mac.I honestly can't say much about their other stuff because I don't even bother trying it when the chicken katsu is so good! So if you're a katsu lover like me, this place/location is THE BEST!"
"Placed an order for pickup, inside was nice and clean. I arrived at 8:30pm and they close at 9pm, they were starting their nightly cleaning for close but they were willing to make me a Kalbi spare rib plate which I really appreciate it. I had the black garlic ramen, I'm a huge garlic fan and really enjoyed the amount of garlic chunks in there. The broth was a little bland but I added some chili oil to it to spice it up a bit. My son had the chicken ramen and it had a good amount of chicken in it. My Kalbi spare ribs were a little fatty, but still had a good flavor to them. I also really like the macaroni salad it came with, along with rice and veggies."
"Island Fin Poke has a food truck. Yup, serving up their food goodness in a mobil format. A few weeks ago, I caught a weekday lunch. The two gals working the truck were fantastic. When I asked questions about ingredients, for the items they were unsure, they offered to quickly call the shop to ask. Despite my questions, they worked quickly providing customer service that didn't feel rushed. The salmon poke bowl tasted great. Fresh tasting ingredients. Quality tasting salmon. Yum. Beautiful presentation. But hey in this economy, the poke protein serving size is on the smallish side. However that's the situation with every other similar business. At least Island Fin is consistent with their serving sizes. I also bought a Hawaiian Sun n fruit drink. Luv that stuff, it's not a common product at mainstream grocery stores. So it's a treat to find. Hawaiian Sun comes ins a variety of flavors, made without HFCS. Plus the truck sells soft serve Dole Whip. $6. That good stuff is made without lactose and HFCS. The menu also includes spam masubi $4 each or 2 for $7."
"This little local spot is the best place in the Rocklin/Roseville area to get poke in my opinion. They are nicely priced, the fish always appears to be fresh and the facility itself is clean. When I walk into any place that's selling raw fish and it doesn't smell like fish, that's a win for me, that tells me two things. 1. The fish is fresh and hasn't been sitting out. 2. They are on top of their cleaning system. If you're going in to dine-in I wouldn't expect anything spectacular. As a matter of fact they have limited seating because it appears that most people take it to go. Nevertheless the quality is still there. One of the only things that I will say negatively about this location has nothing to do with the location itself actually. They have so much great business that you have to make sure you get there early, or your fish of choice (salmon and shrimp in my case) may likely be out. This has happened to me a couple of times, but I can't really be mad if everybody loves what I love."
"The food here is really good, my husband and I always come here whenever I am in the mood for pulled pork, it is delicious and I really love the rice and macaroni salad. The people that work there are friendly and efficient."
"I'm not typically big on ramen, but this place was a nice surprise! I stopped by after grocery shopping and had a great experience. The woman that helped me was so nice and had such great customer service. She really honestly went above and beyond. She made multiple recommendations with details and was nice enough to bring me everything, including filling my drink, since I had my hands full with my daughter. Aside from the great customer service, I found the ramen to be so good! I got the tonkotsu and it was perfect. Other places I've tried were either too salty or way too rich for my liking, but not here. The soft boiled egg was my favorite. I also ordered gyoza, which was good also. I takoyaki was also flavorful and nicely cooked. The portion sizes for everything were fairly large in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed this place and will definitely come back to try other flavors of the ramen!"
"We hired Bill and Kilted Pig for our casual but elegant back yard wedding and we could not be happier. Bill and his crew did a fantastic job, and got a great deal, especially for the amount and quality of the food. We had smoked tri tip, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, frogs eye salad, garlic bread, and coleslaw, all for about $20 a person. Anyone who had ever planned a wedding knows this is the deal of the century. And to top it all off, everyone loved the food! I can't tell you how many weddings I've gone to where I left starving because of the tiny portions, and we were not going to let that happen here. In fact, there was enough food left over that we were able to feed some late-night revelers a second time. Bill and his crew did a great job- very friendly, helpful and I could not be happier. I would definitely hire them again for another large event."
