"I started shopping here since the 2nd day of their grand opening. It was still crowded, but from what I had heard not nearly a much as the first day. I was welcomed and as I walked in, I didn't know which shopping cart to pick, lol... I say that because a row of them had a computer where a seat usually is for a baby. I thought, what the heck! Let's give it a try! After a couple minutes of confusion, zero help from staff, I did figure it out on my own. To your gen z-ers, I'm sure ya got it in seconds, haha! We call these "Dash Carts"As you start shopping with this dash cart, you can connect your dash cart to your Amazon prime account using your smart phone, and start scanning with the cart. I had trouble finding the scanner since no one helped me, but it is located directly in front on you under the handle bars. After scanning your item, then the sensors inside the shopping cart allow you to add items. This particular day, I was there for fruits and veggies.... and for Amazon Prime members, some of their special pricing can't be beat. For instance, their good size avocados were only $.89!! However I mostly noticed this in just the produce section. Other customers were watching me use this dash cart and asking me how it works. I told them I was still figuring out out, but it is very convenient once you learn the basics. Since it is a new store, I still haven't figured out the location of everything. Some things are the same prices you would find at a regular grocery store. I like that they have a hot food section available. They also have a Krispy Kreme station for those of you with a craving! While I was there on a different particular day, Amazon Fresh experienced a power outage. The registered stopped working, they couldn't ring anyone up. Thankfully, I had a Dash cart. It was still connected with everything i had scanned and I was able to select the options that I was done shopping. You need to walk through a designated section that completed my check out and I was on my way. As I walked out, they were having to turn customers away due to the power outage. Since then, it's up and running. There was another day I used their self checkout and the system is still a little wonky especially when searching for your produce, but we (the staff and I after a few minutes) eventually figured it out! I don't think I would go out of my way to shop at Amazon fresh. There were a few items in produce where the price was pretty amazing... but most of their items are the same at their competitors. The Dash Cart is neat, but there isn't enough of them. Being surrounded by major shopping stores means bigger crowds and jam packed parking lots and worth the holidays coming up... this area is going to be chaos."
"A Burmese aka Myanmar based grocery store in the heart of Citrus Heights. The prices are high, but understandable considering they're a specialty store for a country in the middle of a coup which has heavy import restrictions.Lots of selections of dried noodles, chips, canned goods, as well as big bags of rice and sweets.Parking is good as its in a dedicated mini-shopping mall. Has white clean floors and walls, it is very comfortable atmosphere.Everyone was friendly and eager to help. My wife speaks Burmese, so no troubles communicating. But also where nice and spoke to me as well a bit in English.Come support local!"
"They sure keep this place clean. Inside and out. Every morning they have a guy meticulously sweeping couple leaves in the parking lot outside the store. It shows me they care. And the family working there is always nice and friendly.Don't know how good their food is since I only stop for beer. In the evening time, you are always guaranteed to see some entertainment, whether it is a cracked up lady dancing by herself in the parking lot like Snooki or some homeless guy running around like crazy, rolling in the dirt. This place is where the action is at."
"Their papaya salad (medium spicy) is on point! I'm actually craving it as I write this review! The portions were huge and you had so much juice to sip on afterwards. It has the right hint of spice, crab sauce, fish sauce and so forth. I would come back just for this.Besides the fresh and delicious papaya salad, they have the typical Asian market items. What makes this place stand out a bit is that they also have a good selection of Lao and Hmong food. I bought two packs of frozen Lao/Hmong sausages and they were absolutely delicious."
"This convenient store has been one of the best things that have happened on Arden and Morse thus far. Previous owners of this store did not do well with their business, it was dirty and never fully stocked. Till Amador came and over took this place. He has fixed it up really well. This store has fruits and veggies for a reasonable price. Seasonings, drinks, bread, dog/cat food, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, medicine, and many more things. He also has money orders for 1 dollar. It's basically everything you need all in one. The customer service here is great and the employee who is always stocking never fails to ask me if I need help to carry my items or if I'm looking for a specific item. The girl who works during mornings is super sweet and people friendly. Also there are always vendors right next to this store who sell their tacos or tasty raspados. So as you can see this has become a really handy place to go to when you are in need of something or even to just order food from the street vendors. I love this place and I hope this store continues to grow and do well as it has been a great staple to our community!"
"WOW! First time here yesterday and boy was it nice! I live a hour away and we have one small store with nothing nearly as great as this store! The prices are extremely fair in comparison to the small store near me! They had lots of meats to choose from, the shelves were very well stocked. I just the had more produce. I absolutely love this store and can't wait to come back again."
"Heads up, parking is crazy! Be careful when you enter the parking, it feels like the other drivers do not pay attention. When you keave, be careful of the traffic. Drivers dont slow down and the parking is only a few feet from the road. When you walk into the store, the cashiers will greet you. I usually walk directly to the hot food, so many options! I usually grab 3-4 items, then I checkout the freah vegetables from local farmers. Oh, you'll be so surprised by the quality and price! I love the fresh chili peppers, green mustards, and herbs. They also have a small meat selection but theres a food variety! The shelf items are pretty limited but they have a good selection."
"The store is spotless and the staff is fast and polite. I think it looks so good because of the low traffic and it's location. I just hope it stays open for many years."
"I found this on a whim looking for a keto friendly choice on the East side. Without reading the reviews too thoroughly I showed up and walked into the small deli. After some staring, I asked how to order some food. Specifically how do I get some of that beautiful charcoal grilled meats. Much to my dismay you have to call a few hours ahead to get any food prepared, though you can instantly receive food to grill for yourself. After learning my lesson, the next weekend I called in an order of 2lbs of pork belly and 2lbs of chicken thighs. The order came with a flat bread and raw onions. Both were really delicious and the chicken thighs, in particular, were incredibly tender with a touch of smoke. I was hoping that the pork belly was actually more fatty, but it was pretty lean. The 4lbs of cooked food and accompaniments cost me about ~$27 bucks. A really delicious value."
"My second visit to SF Supermarket was much improved by the now-open food court! The store is very nice and clean. The lighting is good and the aisles are fairly wide as well. They have a massive selection of Asian foods from many countries, as well as some American and Mexican food items. The food court holds some very interesting looking food offerings. I tried the Vietnamese place and had a delicious and decently sized BBQ pork banh mi for a reasonable $6.95. Totally worth it! I will be returning to try the Korean and Chinese offerings as well. It all looks really good!"
"Moving from the Bay Area, we needed to know our staple Mexican Grocery Store. Their salas are tucked away in a smaller fridge next to the cheeses, and their skirt steak or flap meat are at great prices $7.99 per lb. I was in shock. (Coming from the Bay Area, meats at the Mexican Grocer usually runs at $8.99-$9.99 per lb.) So we're very happy to have Mercado Loco near and dear to us.Mercado Loco has been set at my go to for Mexican groceries. The store is clean, well organized, tucked away in a small busy strip mall, neighboring a GoodWill."
"The only things I've ever bought from here are Rice and raw (diced and Halaal) chicken meat. The location is conveniently located in the same parking lot as the 99 Cents only Store, and is one of the closest places (for some) to shop in a variety of rice, and meats. I would consider this place a Pakistani grocery store that also sells bits of things that also belong in the broader Middle Eastern Spectrum. They have many different brands and kinds of rice. I saw a bag of rice for only $12 and another fancy bag that was priced at +$80. If you wanna buy super fancy Pakistani rice, I suppose this is a place for that. However, there was a night that I was supposed to cook for two people, a dish that required/included chicken meat (boneless). Shan Market came to my rescue, because not only did they have thawed boneless chicken meat: it was already diced for me! SCORE. Service is a little slow and standoffish but I would not say they are rude at all, in fact the employee who helped me was smiling and said he hoped I would come back again."

Whole foods market and Grocery outlet get married. They have a baby. They name it Amazon Fresh. The baby looks just like a perfect combination of mom & dad.

Small mom & pop shop with predominantly Burmese (Myanmar) foods with some American snacks and other Asian foods (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc).Great to have an East Asian/ SE Asian store in Citrus Heights! Lots of authentic Burmese products that I wouldn't know where else to get in the Sac area. Prices are a bit expensive but importing products from Myanmar is hard since the relationship between the US and Myanmar aren't great thanks to Myanmar being under the rule of a dictatorship via a military junta. The only con is that a lot of the Burmese products are packaged in Burmese with minimal translation so you don't always know what the items are unless you ask. Please go support them so they can stay in business and CH residents have a more diverse shopping experience / more options!

Came in here last week hoping to get a little piece of the pie and purchased 10.00 worth of Mega Million. This place is rough, Walmart on the first kind of rough. I don't mind it too much I love the different characters and chaos that came in while my 7 minute visit. As I was waiting in line 2 homeless guy came in and asked for Ice-Cream after being told where it was at walked back to the Ice-Cream section, got the Ice-Cream and started to eat the Ice-Cream without paying. While that was going on a few High School kids walked in and ran out with a few bags of chips. At this point I was like WTF, am I on MTV's punk'd?Long story short I got my Mega Million and made it out alive. They have a little section of the market that serves hot food i.e. Fried Chicken, chicken kabobs and other fried goodies. Cant wait to try'em.

Authentic hmong grocery store. What struck me when I walked in was how compact everything was displayed. There were only about 7-8 aisles in the whole store, but it had pretty much everything someone would need or look for in a grocery store. The produce was not stacked high like I am used to in other groceries, but rather pre-packaged in plastic bags and laid on counters. The papaya is the best here, better than restaurants, and it's ALWAYS made fresh.People at the registers did not seem professional, but rather more like friends of the owners.

Love this little store. I love the people there. The owner and others who work there. It's homey and not as sterile as say 7/11. I think that's what makes me come back. Thanks guys!

I really cannot say to much. This is your typical Asian store. No cafe/deli. They do have wrapped food which is a Hmong/Asian staple. If you want a cafe, you need to visit Xieng Khouang Market down the road.Tight parking Recommended

"Don't let the name throw you off. My Hmong friend told me about BT Pure Water after I asked her where she got her bomb papaya salad from. This is coming from someone who has consumed papaya salad since she was a toddler. I know what good papaya salad tastes like! Let's be real, you can't get amazing southeast Asian foods in Natomas or around the area. Everyone knows you have to drive all the way to South Sac. South Sac is the Mecca of all South East Asian cuisine and things. After asking my friend for the name of the place again, I was like what?!? This place is owned by Hmong folks?? Not trying to sound super racist, but the name doesn't sound like an Asian market or anything. Just saying. Like I said, don't be fooled by the name. BT Pure Water is located in the hood in a scary shopping center. Sometimes you see shady characters walking around outside. Luckily, I've always been able to park directly in front of the Mini market, run in, do some shopping, and run back out. The area reminds me a little of Oak Park in the early 90's.Upon entering the mini market, on the right side, there are water stations to fill up your empty water containers hence the name of the place! The light bulb came on! To your left, there are Asian produce, the freezer section and then like 2 aisles of canned and dry foods down the middle of the market.I grabbed a couple bags of fresh Thai chili peppers, some Lao sausages, and some Hmong sausages. I've never seen these sausages at Asian stores in South Sac so these are unique items that can be found at this market. Then I was looking around like a lost person while trying to find the papaya salad. I was the only customer in there during the time and feared that I would look suspicious so I just went up to the register and asked where they had the delicious papaya salad. The young guy maintaining the register was super nice and spoke good English. He rang me up and said that he could take my order for the papaya salad. He asked how many peppers I wanted and etc. He took my order and then went towards the back of the store where apparently the papaya making factory was at. At first, I was thinking, man, $7 for papaya salad is kind of expensive! Then after 10 minutes or so, I was handed a fairly good size portion of fresh papaya salad which definitely made that $7 worth it! They make really good papaya salad here, did I mention that?Overall, I was so happy that I could find some staples here near where I live instead of having to drive all the way to South Sac. Don't let the exterior and the shady area scare you from coming into BT Pure Water. The folks here are friendly and it's always nice to support a family business."
"Best place to go shopping for authentic Is Asian, Hispanic and East Asian foods. I love the wide variety of choices when shopping. There are many varieties of vegetables, Breads , meats and fresh seafood. In addition there is a huge food court with your choice of Japanese, Hispanic, Vietnamese, Chinese even Russian. If your shopping there and plan to shop often get a card to retain points so that you can use towards purchases later. You can get discounts at the food court towards purchases. In the food court there is a Boba place too! If you're in a hurry they have ready made food (sushi, sweet potato noodles with mushroom and veggies.) I try and get exotic fruit that is in season to try. A one stop shop for purchases that would cost a lot at Safeway or Raleys."
"1/10/2019: Alright, alright! "Ms. Bumbling Around London UK" wasn't advantageous at the very end of my trip due to the following reasons: 1. I contracted walking pneumonia from a Bloke riding Bus #205 to Paddington Station (The Bloke disembarked at Marylebone Hospital's ER-DOH!) on the way to Heathrow International Airport.2. At the TSA FRISKING AREA located at Heathrow International Airport: My checked-in Fliek luggage, Tumi handcarry, and Pacsafe Metro Backpack were rifled, rummaged through by the TSA Agents! I searched for my shopping ID Cards in my wallet, backpack, and Tumi handcarry- - -GONE! Waaaah!!!!! I tried going back to the TSA BUT, the TSA Agents wouldn't allow me retrieving my ID Cards! As a result of losing my ID Cards, a chaotic fiasco ensued upon arriving home . . . I couldn't receive my Co-Op 10% Discount after I filled my shopping cart full of organic groceries due to two mishaps:1. Losing my Co-Op Membership at LHR didn't help at all2. My phone numbers were transposed incorrectly via Placerville Co-Op's database for their cash registers despite, paying $300.00 for my Co-Op Membership FeeDOH! Cashier, Sera relayed a message to Manager, Victoria who sent me an E-Mail message on 1/11/2019 stating she'd rectify my 10% discount conundrum and send me a replacement ID Card! Waaaah~Sera called me a couple of hours later stating the Co-Op authorized giving me a 10% refund so, stop by and pick up your refund . . . WHOA~So Awesome!WAAAAAH~Thank you so very much for rectifying my lost ID Card conundrum by refunding my 10% discount I should have received on 1/10/2019 and soon, mailing me a new Co-Op ID Card as well!"
"I stopped by this market as it is in a tired lot across from Taqueria Sanchez. There are plenty of parking spots. Seriously maybe 5 spots taken put of 50+ on a Saturday around 3pm. I have been in this market once or twice as we once were seeking pork belly. Around the corner is like a laundromat, Hmong or Lao eatery. I think it is called Asian cafe. Check my review on them. There is a recycle center in the middle of the lot. Lots of homeless and down and outs. A couple hung out in front of the entrance but caused no troubles. They had some big dogs outside that started growling and barking when a couple Asian kids in their early twenties tried to pet them. Lol. Eff that. The store prices are higher than the other usual suspects like SF, Koreana, Etc, but it should be expected for them to survive. If you look through more brands you can find good prices. I got a double sized Oyster sauce for $1.69, $2.29 for a double sized soy sauce. I found some great deals. They also sell hmong sausage packs for $12.99. Jerky I did not know about but as mentioned by a review, you have to ask the cashier. Yes, beware of past dates and skip the higher priced items and you will do just fine. Iam glad to save a drive and will use this place for some great Asian staples when possible. Short ribs, mochi, tea, hot sauces, etc. For the adventurous, which I know cater more to Southeast Asians, they sell ducks, duck heads, grasshoppers, water bugs, duck bills, rabbits....you know!"
"I love this little market place because it's convenient if you live in River Park. They have a decent spread. From milk to beer; chips to frozen pizzas; and all the snacks to fill your junk food craving. They also have a decent selection of wines for a small liquor store. River Park residents, support this local market! You never know when you'll be in the middle of baking and need eggs! You'll be thankful its right around the corner!!"
"Liquor stores are liquor stores, right? You know, it's where you run it to grab a six pack and some munchies and you expect to pay more than you would at a grocery store for the convenience. Sometimes it's where you grab some strong booze and quality isn't the priority...proof is. So when I was told that Price Cutter Market had the difficult to find Pliny the Elder with no bottle limits, I was there faster than you could say, "I'll skip Total Wine and More."Tucked away in a neighborhood south of Arden about five minutes from the mall, the market is right at the corner with easy and lots of parking. Don't be frightened by the bars everywhere, it's a liquor store. Once you enter, you find not a large store but not a too small one either. The isles are easy to walk through and the lack of clutter makes for an easy on the eyes look. The gentleman behind the counter was dressed nicely, very helpful, and quiet nice. He also didn't smell like heavy BO which can be common in these establishments. The selection of craft beer was surprisingly very good. Oh yes, they have your liquor standards of beer in six and twelve packs as well as the good 'ol 40s such as Old English. True to word, when I placed all seven bottles of Pliny the Elder on the counter, the gentleman counted them up and charged me without any hesitation. He even smiled. Maybe it was because I was beaming! Finally, no more one beer per person per day limit. I was set! You will be too when you stop in here."
"Best Tandoori chicken! Fresh Afghan naans and all the groceries makes it one stop shop. Clean store and customer service very friendly."
"We heard about the roast pork and wanted to try it. Super yummy! Crunchy skin, moist and tender layers of warm pork. Incredibly reasonable with tons of rice and lightly stir fried cabbage. Can't go wrong for $6.95!The char siu rice plate was equally delicious! Super convenient, street parking out front, and pretty good variety of items overall. Pleased with all the items we purchased, thank you!"
"Hurray!!! They have halloumi! For those of you who don't know, halloumi is a Mediterranean cheese that you grill like meat (https://www.thespruceeats.com/what-is-halloumi-cheese-3376845).I discovered it when I experimented with vegetarianism, and it was about the only happy memories from such.It was $6, and at least half the price then whole foods. They also had a cook of cool ingredients and teas to try. Super local find, and very nice people. You should come just to change up your cooking experience. I got one of the scharma marinates and it was interesting. Will definitely try to support more."
"Not many places left that have a full service meat counter with butchers that help you select your cuts. Great selection of sausages, and actual old fashioned skin on hot dogs. Bings is one of the few places I will miss when I move from Sacramento"
"Sun-Up isn't your typical midtown marketplace. It's located in the lower level of a ramshackle old house on a residential street that you normally wouldn't think of as a good location for a market. Nevertheless, the place has a unique charm and friendly owners, and those two reasons alone will keep me coming back. I recall coming here midday on a Wednesday for the first time to discover they were closed. As soon as I began to walk away, disappointed and crafting a negative Yelp review in my head, the lady who worked there came up to me on the street apologizing. Apparently she has to park in 2-hour parking and move her car every so often. As someone who knows Sacramento's schizophrenic parking restrictions all too well, I immediately sympathized. The place is stocked with all your basic drinks and snacks at competitive prices. They have a great beer and wine selection, from the basics to some really obscure brands."
"It's time for a long overdue review of the place at which I've probably logged the most "check-ins." First of all, the name "Country Store" is a little deceptive. Yes, Rancho Murieta is a retirement community technically located in the countryside, but the store itself is simply a gas station convenience store that shares space with a Burger King. It's unattractive and busy. So why would I frequent a store I consider so-so? Convenience. It's really the only stop along Highway 16 between Rancho Cordova and Jackson - two cities I frequent. Therefore the price of gas is also higher than you'd find at either end. But despite its overall lack of charm, I'm grateful Rancho Murieta Country Store exists. I can't tell you how many times I've coasted in on fumes."
"Anyoung haseyo! I've come here off and on for the last seven years. It's not my typical go-to Asian market. I recently stopped in to pick up Kimchi. Zdrastvooyte! Fast forward five years later, the place has turned into a Russian market with a small selection of Asian goods. The tiny little Korean eatery has disappeared, as well. Not really disappointed that the predominately Asian store was gone because some of the items I purchased was outdated. I could've given them a one star review, but held back. It would've only been a one star review, back then, because the owner gave me a hard time returning expired goods (which I had receipt for). Nam might of had a enlightenment and figured that an Asian market was not his destiny. Because the place has flourished as a Russian market. The patrons were all Russian and so was the staff. The place is quite popular, I guess among the Russian community because the place was quite busy. They still had a little bit of Asian staples but the selections are limited. One thing they still had was, homemade KIMCHI!!!"
"This store is great and the staff is always super nice and helpful and welcoming and the store is always super clean and they have great deals on craft beers and on everything here & they can order stuff for you as well. If you haven't checked this place out yet I highly recommend this place to check out. My husband and I will definitely be coming here for a long time and also recommend this place for everyone we know. If you haven't been here yet I would recommend checking this place out."
"Every time I come here the ladies behind the counter are nice to everyone. It's nice to see a small market that still treats people nice. Plus... I win more here playing lotto so that helps too. Haha"
"4th time here. It's a very small market but I think their veggies are really fresh. Here especially for their roasted and Peking duck; so good!"
"Great sandwhich. I always get the California on Dutch crunch. Thats all I can attest to. Keep it up deli crew!"
"You think you know, but you have no idea what a heatlh food store is until you've been into Sunshine Market. I came to this amazing couple sick, confused, and at the end of my rope-they changed my life.I've added at least 10 more years to my life span going into this store, and have also gained knowledge that is priceless and precious. Everytime I go into the store it is clean, professional, and it's also a learning experience each time. Please go into the store with a open mind, these great people will not steer you wrong. A lot of people are scared of change which I totally understand but I am a living example of how much of a blessing these people and their store can be."Invest in health now, or pay for sickness later.""
"Got four different types of meat for Cinco de Mayo tacos night. They were almost completely out of the seasoned stuff so they seasoned the already cut stuff. Also I wanted shrimp and they removed the tails and seasoned that. Everyone was super helpful and proud of what they sell. Bought their homemade salsas and they were delicious!! Everyone love it!!! Going back today which is why I remembered to leave a review."
"This is my to go asian store when I'm at work since it's basically across my work place. I usually go here to get their hot food that they have fresh daily such as kapoon, eggrolls, boiled eggs, sticky rice with sausages etc. My favorites are the Nam. They have friendly staff and always greet me when entering and attentive when in need of finding anything."
"I come to Sam's once a week for a sandwich! My go to is the pastrami on a French roll. I would recommend coming before noon, since the lunch rush gets extremely crowded! The family who runs the shop is so nice, and I always have such a pleasant experience when I come!"
"Took my daughter to the store last night. The always-friendly night shift manager chatted with us at the check out, and asked what our plans were for the weekend. I told him we would be attending my other daughter's graduation from Sac State at Golden 1 Center. He right away congratulated us and proceeded to walk over to the flowers section. He asked us to pick out a bouquet, and insisted on paying for us. The bouquet is $10 from his pocket, but the thoughtfulness and genuine care for his customers is simply priceless. By the way, the store is always clean and nice. We also enjoy finding different treats there every time. It's like a treasure hunt. We never know what surprises we will find."
"I really love to champion local shops at all times possible, but this one was hard. Crowded and doing nothing remotely to adhere to any safety regulations pertaining to COVID-19, Fast Stop was neither fast nor convenient. I popped in expecting a fast in and out experience but ended up waiting for an interminably slow line at the counter for unknown reasons. The non-alcoholic drinks I bought were not the cheapest. The parking lot itself was a danger zone. Cars blasting music and almost knocking into each other as they pulled out.So why 3 stars? The clerk was super nice and seemed overwhelmed, so perhaps this was on off day in terms of traffic. As for the COVID-19 regulations, I also can't see how they would strike a balance between staying open and still completely adhering to those rules. Perhaps I'll visit again, but perhaps not. Consider this a generous review for a local business during a time of crisis."
