They asked her to choose a side between rice, fries or feta fries and she declined all three... so they asked if she'd like a larger salad and she agreed to that.I ordered the Classic Greek Salad and added Gyro meat for protein. We were given a number marker to put on our table.Our meals arrived quickly and were visually impressive - large portions! Ok, I did order the "large" salad + protein... but I wasn't able to finish it... so I feel the value was there, which is definitely a welcome things these days.One of the standout items was mom's lamb skewers (she shared with me) - great taste and nice and tender - perfectly done.We finished by sharing baklava ice cream. My go to is chicken shawarma. The ambiance is cold, I prefer to take it to go or eat outside. The food is good but the owner she's so pushy on register sales and she was rude when she knew their ice machine was down for fountain drinks, after i paid she said so sorry no ice ok. I said you knew that but didn't say anything and pushed us upgrade to a soda combos to drink warm soda? She said but it comes with fries so it's fine... seriously it's not. My last visit, she started taking our order and answered the phone we were stuck waiting because she didn't tell them to hold. Poor service."

It's hard to park here so go the the big lots on either side of the shopping center. I've been here twice and the food was great both times. I got the lamb/beef gyro/fries/soda combo both times and loved it. The sandwich is stuffed with meat and the fries are hot and plentiful. It's all been very consistent with quality, flavor, portion, and value. My favorite is the "Petra Special Plate" ($22). You get a beef patty, a pork skewer, chicken skewer, rice or fries, salad, pita bread, hummus, and tzatziki. It's a great sample of what's on their menu, and plus it's a lot of food to share or pig out on! The chicken is surprisingly tender, the beef patty is packed with flavor, and the pork is the best meat. I'm not much of a lamb fan, but I have had it here, and they do it right. Petra is great for happpy hour and late night bites. Food is always served hot and fresh. Meet me at the (Petra) Greek!"

"They closed at 9pm and we showed up around 8:30ish. Upon arriving here there was a lot of weird people soliciting in the front. I don't think it's the establishment's fault because theres a liquor store next door but it was very suspicious that they were hanging out in front of the gyro place and not the liquor store. We walked in an tried to order. There was no one in the front to take our order. After waiting 5 minutes we rang the bell. He came out and said in a rude tone take out only. We said okay because it was close to closing. I believe they are severely under staffed because after we ordered the cashier went back to the kitchen and did not come back out for 10 minutes.Finally came back out and the food looked good. We ordered three philly cheese steaks and a lamb fries. The lamb was decent and marinated well but the fried were over cooked. Very crunchy. And the bread they used for the philly cheese steaks were like old dry bread. Every bite you would have to wash it down with a soda. Modest interior--clean and minimally decorated. You order at a counter and seat yourself. We were then served bonus soups out of adorable paper bowls. Like you would be served when visiting a friend's or family member's home. The soup was off menu and reminded me of a hearty sweet and sour soup. It was very good! And very unexpected. We then were served our order--we got the falafel plate, stick cheese sandwich, samosas, hummus, and garlic fries...WOW! Generous portions for everything and the prices are so competitive. Everything was delicious! We enjoyed everything we ordered and had plenty to take back with us! The owner even brought us a sample of the phirni because we had asked about it and it immediately became a family favorite that we will most definitely be ordering next time! We are looking forward to returning. This restaurant really is a gem and worth visiting."

The menu has been simplified but there are options for something light to a full buffet (which has come back since it was shut down for COVID). There is usually a line out the door but you can also order ahead online if you are in a rush. My favorites are the chicken shawarma wrap or the tacos. Both are filling and full of flavor that will leave you happy after lunch. During the warm weather the patio seating is available and makes for a relaxing lunch too. They also have the option of catering for events which works perfectly for any office party."

The rice is plain white, which was unexpected because usually I thought there is some kind of sauce to make the rice non-white. In any case the rice and gyro tasted good, and the Tzatziki sauce on the side tasted legit. Everything was served warm which was nice!The service is good. "XtremeBitez is now my go to for halal food in Elk Grove. One of my friends had recommended this place to me and I made sure to check it out. I decided to go here on a Thursday evening and luckily was able to get my order in before it got busy. I got the mixed platter which is grilled chicken and lamb over rice and salad. I also asked for extra white sauce and spicy sauce. It was so good! I don't think I'll ever change my order here. The mixed platter was perfect. "Big portions and savory flavor were presented to us at Mr Greek Donair & Kebab. Some of the best lamb my mom had ever eaten. Lamb shank in general is supposed to tender when slow braised and theirs was exceptional. She particularly enjoyed the flavor of the tomato saffron sauce as it wasn't salty and they served a lot of it. For myself I ordered the giant chicken donair. It was heavy, juicy and messy but I finished it all despite its massive size. We also got three crispy potato samosas. There was variety of sauce cups that came with our meal and my favorite was their spiciest one. Tucked into the Delta Shores shopping center, this establishment was clean, with enough seating and a large counter where you can see the food being made. They were a bit busy when we came on a rainy Saturday around lunch time. I noticed there were a lot of to go orders from delivery apps. Staff were very nice and politely answered our questions. They did not take too long in making our food. Rest room was fairly tidy. We will return to try their kebabs, salads and falafels."

The way their system is set up she needs to go in the back to help with the orders and she wasn't around at times when we needed something, so service is something that can be improved.We ordered lamb kebob with rice which was good, expect a couple of pieces that had strings of fat and we hard to chew. The koufte was tasty and soft and the rice tasted great. The portions for the meat were small for the price in my opinion. "Palladio shopping center is capital B, Busy, during December, the holidays. I confess, I was there shopping for some last minute holiday gifts. After my shopping, I was feeling a bit peckish and wanted to grab takeout to bring home. I landed on Petra Greek. It is counter service with a varied Mediterranean menu options from appetizer, gyros, plates, and dessert options AND burgers and fries AND beers (draft and bottled). I was not sure what was beeftekia, I asked the cashier and she nicely explained. It is baked minced ground beef patty with Mediterranean seasonings. I was intrigued, so I ordered the beeftekia plate. It came with two patties, rice pilaf, Greek salad, tzakziki, and pita. The beeftekia patty had a light airy texture and packed with lots of bold Mediterranean flavors/seasinings. The salad was fresh tasting. The tzakziki was a thick consistency with bright flavors and served cold, it was delicious. I am lactose intolerant and can digest lactose if I take a lactase enzyme (pill). There are not alot of dairy food items that I choose to take a pill to enjoy. But their tzakziki is one of them. The dining room is clean, modern, and comfortable with a couple of TV screens tuned to sports channels. They also have an outdoor patio but it is not heated."

If you're in a pickle of time and want something delicious and hearty--this place is the way to go. We ordered their salad! Initial thought of their salad was that it was huge! I really thought I wouldn't be able to finish it, but I did. It was that good. The blend of flavors really meshes well, and it doesn't leave you feeling to bleh at the end. A right amount of everything. The tzatziki sauce was a great touch to the vinaigrette dressing. A little on the pricier side, but still think it's worth it."
