"ABSOLUTELY LOVE this course, especially the DRIVING RANGE! The range is quiet with TopTracer which allows you to play virtual golf, keep track of your progress, and play miscellaneous games. It's a lot of fun! They have a little bar that's open during peak hours. During non-peak hours they have a food truck that sells snacks, beers, and seltzers. Prices for range balls: $5 for 25 / $14 for 70 / $18 for 100 / $24 for 100 PARKING: private lot with lots of parking. You may have to walk a bit because they're usually busy but you will definitely find a spot."

"The marshall needs to speed people up that are lagging and causing others to wait. Otherwise this is a beautiful (scenic) and well put together course. There is a Restaurant at the clubhouse that has pretty good food (and wine) that is made fast. All in all a good experience; we will be coming back."

"Been coming here off and on for 15-20 years and surprised I never wrote a review. I'll lay it out with pros and cons ProsBEAUTIFUL course, like it is always in good condition. Plus just very scenic.Amazing bunkers - I wish I wasn't so familiar with these. Lol. But they are very nice and sparkle like there is gold in the sand.True greens - they roll pure and true. No wobbles, no hops......unless some butthead didn't fix his divot.Good elevation changes - they do a good job with this. Some holes seem directly uphill and some super downhill. I like that. Cart girls are always very friendly.I always enjoy a Turn Worm(hotdog), they are typically stationed between 9 and 10 by the golf cart garage.Golf carts are pretty awesome. GPS, Bluetooth speakers and comfy seats.ConsThe men - I swear EVERYTIME I call to make a tee time I feel like I am bugging them. And everytime I check in with a dude they still seem a little turned off or put out. (Got lucky this last time and it was a blonde young lady helping us, she was very friendly, thanks for that)No water on course - Not a single water jug out there. I did notice a couple of ice chests near trash cans, but they just have ice in them everytime. Guessing there was water bottles in there? Not sure. No ball cleaners - like seriously don't think I ever saw one. Seems simple to have, even janky golf courses have them.Can't drive golf carts to parking lot - not a huge deal but lil annoying to walk up all your stuff.Most people would complain about no clubhouse but whatever it is not super necessary. Just you and that beautiful beast of a course. I'll keep coming back but I know what I am getting into and I am fine with that."

"It had been 10 years since I had played here. Didn't really remember the course all that well. Just knew it was hard and nice. Bingo! That was very accurate. Except my shots.......not so accurate. LolIt is so easy to lose balls on this course. But it is for sure nice. Greens were fast too. But I beat my buddy so I was pleased. We enjoyed our lunch afterwards in the restaurant. Will I come back? Sure. But it will probably be another 10 years. Lol"

"I really enjoyed hanging out with my two sons and my daughters fiancé. This course has a lot to offer and the drive to the place was super enjoyable. "I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Bartley Canvanaugh Golf Course recently and it was a beautiful venue. The pictures I took do not do it justice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we first arrived to set up and continued to be throughout the night. I did also get to order a club sandwich and it was superb! Crunchy bacon, choice of bread, juicy tomato, crispy lettuce and elevated with a little mayo or some type of sauce. The fries were well seasoned and soft in the middle as well. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture but the presentation was also an A+. In the evening when the golf course is basking in the light of golden hour is a really breathtaking place to be. If you are planning on hosting any events or are having a wedding I would most definitely recommend this location."

"Beautiful park. Great access to dip your feet into the river at the beach area. I say that I was disappointed with the bathrooms there was no paper towels or soap in the bathroom so make sure you have hand sanitizer. There are grills here if you wanted to do that! You can also reserve a table at this park. There is a nature conservatory with a trail we didn't go because it was too hot by 3 pm but I will be back to go it's beautiful there!"

"I came here for the first time a few weeks ago for my dad's friends son celebration of life. It is a very large establishment very clean atmosphere. It was very easy to find the staff was very efficient very helpful and we had a nice area to enjoy the celebration of life, this is a great place to go golfing great place to have events weddings, etc. it is conveniently located off of Wood Creek oaks very easy to find. I didn't get a chance to explore much since I was there for a celebration of life, but from what I could see it was a very large, beautiful establishment and I did see a lot people enjoying the golf area the room that was reserved was very large with lots available seating and the staff was very efficient at coming out and making sure all the food was filled making sure everybody was enjoying everything OK clearing off plates etc. this is definitely a nice place to look into if you're having an event nice very clean. I even use the restrooms while I was there. The restrooms were very clean smelled very clean and I always noticed this when I go to places because not all places are very efficient when it comes to having a nice clean restroom this place definitelyexceeded my expectations. I was very happy with the services received here if you're thinking about joining a golf club I would highly recommend checking out. Woodcreek great place friendly establishment great place to have an event. Great establishment altogether thank you Woodcreek Oak. You guys exceeded the expectations and we're very efficient and friendly. Thank you again. Have a happy safe Fourth of July and I'll see you again very soon :-) under different circumstances."

"We played 9 holes here with my husband and his parents on Father's Day, and it was a great course. $100 for the four of us, with two golf carts, is an excellent price. The course was well maintained, and the holes provided great challenges for both the two good golfers in our group and the two mediocre/just barely competent golfers (of which I'm one). The nature surrounding this course is very beautiful. I can't wait to play here again!"

"I discovered this driving range with a Groupon some years back. With a bonus 20% off flash sale on Groupon I was able to get 70% off! I bought a $200 for $60 and a $100 for $30. These have lasted me at least 4 or 5 years with a lot of credit left!A simple driving range that works. No fancy automatic tee like Haggin Oaks. You do it yourself. A handful of metal targets and a big net surrounding. I find it a great place to get in some exercise hitting around 100 balls each time. The best way to get exercise is getting it while doing something fun. Come out and give Cherry Island a shot. I can't speak for the golf course but they have Groupon deals for rounds of golf. They also have a cafe which is where Iam cooling off with a soda while I write this."

Greens below average with a lot of brown fairways.Paid $40 with Teeoff for a 10 AM midweek tee time with cart. Get that it's 2023 but that is overpriced. Would be overpriced for a weekend.That said this is a very pretty course that everyone can play. Makes Woodcreek look even more pathetic"

"The greens had very few divot marks and was in very good condition. I'd say Hagen Oaks or an equivalent course, at this time of the year would be in much worse condition. The Driving range was behind the Pro shop and had a secluded flat open field to hit balls into. It had a cool farm feel which was very quiet and everyone was allowed to hit off of grass which seems to be luxury these days. This course gets plenty of new golfers and with that expectation, we had an enjoyable time. Looking at all the reviews this place gets unwarranted negativity. The only negative I can think of is the fairways can be cut a quarter inch shorter."

"Used to play here a lot. I normally walk, but when it's 104° I'll ride. They upped their fees lately. $35-40 for nine holes with a cart is crazy for this course. You can play an actual golf course that has beverage carts, has a full driving range and doesn't have morons picnicking in the fairway for that much lol. Dumb business move with how many courses are around honestly.Four stars bc it's usually in decent shape, but it's typically slow and for $70+/18 there are better courses around here to play by a long shot"

"My best friend (wife) and I played Mather Golf Course for the first time in over three years. We met two our friend there and had a great time. The folks in the pro-shop were helpful, courteous and efficient despite being very busy that morning. The golf course itself was in good condition despite the CA drought and wildfire related smoky skies. My girl played from the forward tees and noted several times that she did not get much/if any advantage except for one or two holes on both the front and back nine. From my perspective, the few advantages she received with respect to yardage, more than made up for the fact that most of the other holes were equally spaced out.The pace of play was good. Sand trapes could use new sand or a little more racking. Some very wet spots were noted but hard to avoid in the extremely hot weather and ""green"" fairways""."

Castle Oaks Golf Club

"The last time I've been here was probably 20 years ago. The course itself was okay...not the best maintained. We are in the middle of a months long heatwave and yet some parts of the course are flooded and muddy. The bunkers are inconsistent as some are sandy and others are hardpan. There are a few weird gimmicky holes but nothing stands out that are amazing or gorgeous. Pin placement on some of the holes was dumb. No way I had a shot at the hole. Had to putt onto the rough just to putt it back up the green. The 18th however was one of the most fun I've had. This course rewards straight hitters and punishes higher handicap players. Driving through neighborhoods is a little weird, but that's how Castle Oaks is. Snack shack service could have been better. I know she's trying her best probably. I'm not asking to be treated like a king. I just don't like getting treated like an annoyance. This course is closest to my house, so I'll likely come play again, but I'm not sure how often or who's going to come play with me"
