"I had came to Cups and Straws new location on Saturday afternoon. It's a really cool spot where it has other businesses inside. Customer service is always GREAT! The ladies are very welcoming and always have a positive mindset. Their boba drinks are always on point and they have 2 new drinks (mango and strawberry cream) that I couldn't resist so I got them to try out plus they were having a bogo deal and let me tell you...it's so so so good I'm definitely coming back to order another one."

"We went yesterday to The Hungry Pecker where they were serving food. I had high expectations.....the tri tip was tender, but lacked flavor. If you just ate the tri tip outside the sandwich without bbq sauce...flavor was not there. Loaded tots were great. I am super picky about my Mac N Cheese, so for me, it was not good - but in all fairness there are very few BBQ places that have good Mac N Cheese IMO - so take that as you may. Potato salad was good, a little overpriced for the amount...but good none the less. Overall good value for the cost and portions."

THE SET-UP AND THE FAREIn fact, this is the first prong in my ritual walk: after I grab some peanuts in the shell, I get the hot dog (usually Seattle style with Cream Cheese or German style with Kraut), and walk to Capitol Park, and find on of my favorite park benches on the Southwest Quadrant of the park. And as I munch on my hot dog, I am approached by a surly group of squirrels, led by Chip & Dale, who look at my plaintively, eyeing the little pile of peanut shells on the bench next to me.I make a few teasing feints of peanut throws, but then follow through. It's amazing to watch the little tussles between the fluffy-tailed rodents - it's amazing to imagine squirrels WITHOUT tails and what handsome rats they would make. I also imagine how this scenario would be dramatically different if my pocket-Panthers JACK & BOBBY were there with me, watching these events. Would my cats think I lost it? Would they feel betrayed? Actually, I think they'd ridicule me because that's the kind of basterds my cats are (since these are the same two that disect mice, rats and birds in front of me as we go on our walks).THE LOWDOWNBut I think I've wandered off the reservation and have gotten away from talking about DOGS. These are some good DOGS! YUMMM!"

"Stopped here for lunch last week. We have driven by many times, however, they are only open Thursday and Friday.,The owner? who took our order was friendly and the restaurant was a small roadhouse style place. Seems like they might be mainly a catering operation.The meat was terrific. Brisket melted in your mouth and tri tip amazing as well. Prices were fair. I would suggest not to add lettuce or onions to the sandwiches. Just serve the meat, bread and sauce. We will be back to take some of their meats home with us."

"A hidden gem in Tallac Village! Toby's is only open Fri-Sun from 5pm until midnight outside of Tallac Bottle Shop. It is well worth the wait every week. Service is fast. The food is so bomb. Don't skip the Al pastor tacos. They have a trompo and everything. They're the closest I've had to my favorite tacos in Mexico City. If you're getting takeout, you'll have to add onions and cilantro yourself. They give them to you naked. Don't forget, like I sometimes do."

"This is a taco tent has the BEST chicken street tacos I've ever had! The chicken Al Pastor is tender and FLAVORFUL! Topped with a pineapple slice and all laid on a corn tortilla! We were also given a side of chopped onion and cilantro to put on our tacos to our taste. I recommend the green sause for the chicken street tacos and boom! The most perfect tacos ever!"

"Came in to watch some football and check out these hot dogs. Beer options were good, and the seating outside at picnic tables were open. We ordered a couple of regular hot dogs and a hotlink. Food took a little long to come out so he checked on them for us, and there was some kind of back up. He was super apologetic for it all. He did comp us even though we didn't ask and was super nice about it. The hot dogs were good with all the fixings, the hot link wasn't really a hot link but a hot sausage maybe? Overall the food and the drinks were good service went above and beyond."

"I drove by this place several times and decided to give it a try. It is located on the north side of the market located on Filbert Street close to the crosstown freeway. I ordered half a rack of rib and it was not bad. The ribs were tender and pull off the bone. I got my food to go. There is a picnic bench outside in front of the grill but it was kind of hot today. It is more of a to-go than sit and eat there spot. The service was pretty quick. I ordered my food and got it right away. The next time I swing by, I'll try their tri-tip."

"I was introduced to Sons of Guam (SOG) by one of my closest girlfriends as she has catered through them many times before. We hired SOG for a celebration of life this past weekend. We ordered lumpia Shanghai, pasta salad, linguisa fried rice, chicken pancit and fried chicken. I didn't care too much for the fried rice or pancit (it was just my personal preference, but many others from the event really enjoyed it), but I really enjoyed everything else. I loved the setup and it also included food labels, which was a really nice touch. The catering service also came with complimentary coffee and tea, which paired nicely with our nice array of Filipino desserts. I got to meet Larry and his wife and they were both really personable and friendly, we even had a nice conversation about having them cater a future event of mine. I'll definitely be reaching out when the time comes. Thanks again."

"I've been on the hunt for good and authentic churros. Specifically, churros that are made fresh to order like in Mexico and I was starting to think it didn't exist. It makes a big difference when they're made fresh to order and you eat them right then versus in some restaurants they're sitting there under a heating lamp. These churros are thicker since you can add different fillings or flavors inside or order them without it. He has strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, caramel or cajeta, and condensed milk or leche. When I went here with my friend he was out of the leche flavor but, that's ok because we could only share the 4. The vanilla was good and was like custard or pudding? Strawberry was good but was a little on the sweet side. I'm not usually a chocolate fan but this was yummy for a filling in the churro. Now my favorite of course was the caramel or cajeta. It wasn't Mexican caramel but traditional American caramel but, it was delicious. He accepts cash only and it's $2.50 per churro, which is more than reasonable. They're pretty thick, filling, and a very good size. So you might think you can handle more but they're pretty rich and you can order them without filling if you'd like too. I was so glad he didn't even start to prepare them until we walked up to his stand, making them fresh to order is everything. His hrs are daily 4pm-8:30pm."

I wish I could get them daily. I would recommend in a heartbeat. The way they presented themselves was calm. Polite. Answered any and everything I asked. Also promoted other companies which in my eyes very respectful. Such a quiet, calm area as well. Service was super fast as well. it smelled amazing. I'm there.They were scheduled for District 56 in Elk Grove, so I rushed over (just 5 minutes away). Nice compact menu, quick tap to pay, and less than a ten-minute wait for a fresh hot pizza. Seems like an efficient upbeat business, but the 3 workers had only a few orders while we were there.The pizza arrived with a tasty, slightly-charred crust, and was slipped into a colorful box for the trip home. We had the soprasetta that included dollops of ricotta and a few fresh basil leaves. I didn't realize that the pizza is finished with a honey sauce. Much too sweet for me, though the other suburbanites might favor this addition. I wish it was a choice to add, rather than a necessity to omit.There are lots of ways to make very good pizza; this is among them. I might fault the crust for being a bit too stretchy, the careless placement of the basil leaves, the sweet after-dressing. But I'm glad to have pizza of this quality made with a personal touch.I'll be back. I loved the whole experience, even down to the smell of wood smoke in the air."
