The donut case was enticing enough already, with their pretty decorated donuts for St. Patty's Day, and the pics on the walls definitely didn't help with my cravings for comfort food. "Donut King has a huge variety of donuts that were available. I ordered a bakers dozen and as soon as my family and I sat down the donuts had vanished almost immediately. The donuts are soft, fluffy, flavorful and have a good amount of sweetness to them. They had chocolate, strawberry, caramel, jelly filled, glazed, sugared, chocolate muffin, croissant sandwiches and many more options to choose from. I couldn't stop myself from getting seconds especially with a side of warm coffee brewed over the counter. What's also nice is that this establishment is opened 24/7 and the customer service is amazing. We were greeted with a welcome and a smile which made us feel at home and comfortable enough to use their self serve refrigerators and coffee bar. Like for instance, drinks, they had good selection of juices, sodas, water, milk, etc. Oh, and coffees, they serve Olympia or maybe it was Olympus, too early for my memory? Anyhoo, it wasn't your typical donut shop bland coffee. There were four different self serve machines and that was a plus. I chose a dozen mixed and my favorite is the French crueler, also called tractor wheel, some raspberry filled, old fashioned, etc. It was $18 and the sweet girl behind the counter threw in some free donut holes. (This turned out to be an excellent decision!). The donuts arrived perfectly packaged in a colorful box. I'm not sure if the shop did this or my driver, but, there was a fun character hand-drawn on my box that said "Enjoy!" They also wrote "Thank you!" on the box. I thought this was a really nice touch!The donuts were fresh and tasty! I'm very sensitive to when frying oil hasn't been changed frequently enough and this was definitely NOT the case with Sunshine Donuts! My favorite donut was sliced in half and then filled with custard which I think is genius! More custard+evenly distributed = an amazing taste experience! Bravo! Apple fritter was perfectly fried and glazed. I saved the raisin square for my coffee tomorrow!Last, but, certainly not least: the ham, egg and cheese bagel. Let's just say: breakfast heaven! The bagel was soft and chewy, there was tons of egg, ham and melty American cheese all assembled to perfection. They do not skimp on ingredients!! Delicious! I ended up having half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Sunshine Donuts is a hidden gem, and, I'm sad that I am just now discovering it after living in Sac for almost 7 years! It came with coconut milk, but I didn't want them to use this base, so I've asked for coconut water instead. "I was driving through the shopping center to get to Best Dim Sum and I noticed the sign for Bill's Donut. I made a mental note to myself to check this place out after brunch. And I did. It sure didn't disappoint. They have beautiful, tasty doughnuts served up by a lady with a big smile and personality to match. No frills, simple small business. Great components of a classic Americana doughnut shop. Well I dropped on in after lunch, it was just about 12:30 pm. Closing time. Right when we stepped in, we were greeted by the sweet gal behind the counter AND a bunch of regular customers sitting at the only table. That down home welcome was a nice surprise. We weren't shooed away or rushed out the door. But when we looked in the display counter... there were no doughnuts. We were bummed. I thought they sold out. But the woman must have noticed our sad faces and quickly assured us they have doughnuts left. She just boxed them up. So she proceeded to tell us what she had left. We ordered two old fashions and a cake. $1.50 each. She threw in a couple more (an old fashion and a glaze) on the house since it was closing time. That was gracious of her and the business. She bagged the doughnuts carefully as to not smush them. Ya'll know how glaze doughnuts are all so delicate. But when I got home and took the doughnuts out of the bag, the glazes were still perfectly intact. No smushing. That's some expert doughnut packing. They were delicious. The old fashion had the cakey like interior with the nice crispier edges. The glaze had a fluffy interior with the type of glaze consistency I prefer. That being dry but not so dry it's crackling off and not wet n sticky nor overly sweet."

Okay, first off I had seen the sandwiches and the burritos that they make for breakfast because some of my coworkers would get them in the morning and I was a little nervous because I don't eat eggs or bacon or anything like that. So when I went in there I asked them if they would be able to make me anything. They made me the best breakfast burrito with no eggs and no bacon. It was delicious. They put this creamy sriracha mayo on it. That was so good. I don't have a picture of that because I ate it before I remembered to take a picture but today I ended up getting a bagel that had cream cheese, cheddar cheese, hash browns and jalapenos on it and let me tell you it was so good. I am very grateful. Even though they don't have these kind of things on the menu, they actually will compromise and make them for you if you don't eat meat or eggs. The frappuccinos are really really good. The large has three shots in it, so if you are a caffeine junkie like I am. You'll love it. I'll definitely be backI got so excited about what I got. I forgot to tell you what else they offer there. So aside from their myriad of breakfast sandwiches and burritos LOL they have plenty of doughnuts and pastries. They also have mochi doughnuts which I love. The last time I went there I got an Oreo ube mochi doughnut which was delicious so check them out guys"

There were a bunch of peeps already inside, pretty much all the tables were occupied and every photo opp was being taken advantage of. I got mine in of course, haha! I do wish they put other colors in because pink is overrated and it's EVERYWHERE in here!They have 2 ordering kiosks, which is the only way you can place your order. I didn't see a menu at the counter. I ordered a 6 pack of the mochi dounuts. I completed my order at the kiosk and took a pager that beeps when your order is ready. I'd say they took about 10 minutes to get my drinks ready but the donuts were already out so that didn't take long to box up.I'm omw home so I'll have to update once I taste these yummy mochi dough rings of goodness. Customer service was great, but I left a star off because it did seem a bit chaotic in there. I feel as though they have no limit on how many people can come in. It was crowded and I'm glad I got in before the huge group of people came in.Location is in a strip mall near Kohl's. Limited parking so you may have to circle a few times. Pricing is average but my total of just over $40 still shocked me a bit, lol! All good in the hood... I pay for my yummies and this is no exception. I'll try to make another stop out here when it's less crowded. Good luck!ETA: So the verdict is: the donuts are yummy! I think my faves were the Biscotti and Black Sesame. The Matcha was good too and the Funnel Cake was a good choice if you don't want it super sweet. I didn't taste the taro because you know it's not my thing lol. Mom loved it though! The cost is $15 for 6. I'll definitely make an effort to come back on Tuesday when they have their special all day. Imho, this is a great comparison to MoDo, but MoDo is still my #1 because they always make them fresh to order. This place has them ready to go but I guess you could always nuke them for a bit if you want them warm. Overall great place to get your fix, but if you're impatient, I'd recommend going when they open or ordering online. =)"

A group of local laborers sat, facing the windows, speaking Spanish, over cups of coffee and donuts.I purchased a cake donut with vanilla glaze and rainbow sprinkles. My brother had his usual apple fritter, which I found slightly oil ridden. We also ordered coffee each, my bill settling itself under $2.There is something pleasantly calming about munching on a donut with the foreign chatter continued to grow and wrap around us. I prefer it anyways. It makes for an enhanced morning. Donuts galore. Donut holes. Fruit filled donuts. Bear claws. Cinnamon puffs. Cake donuts. Old Fashioned. Buttermilk. You name it, they have it here.On top of the list, they also have an acceptable toilet on premise.
