"Tried out some dim sum to go here. It's hidden deep within the Pocket area so you have to be committed, but the food was good enough that I'll return. Plenty of free parking in the strip mall and they also take credit card with a $10 minimum.Chicken big bun - fluffy bao dough and generous portion of chicken (with a boiled egg and inch of Chinese sausage encased inside the meat). Would definitely get again.Pork big bun - similar to the chicken bun but includes chives so it is more herby tasting. If you're buying both, the pork has the yellow dot on top to help distinguish.Pork/Shrimp siu mai - comparable to ABC in size and flavor. If you order fresh they cost slightly more, and if you order frozen, they are slightly cheaper for a dozen. Would come back to try this and other frozen dumplings.Chives dumpling - shrimp and chives in a rice flour dumpling. Generous meat portions and tastes great if you like chives.Cilantro dumpling - similar to the chives dumpling but with cilantro instead. I preferred the chives flavor slightly but liked both. Sticky rice in lotus leaf - flavor and filling was ok, but the rice was softer/wetter than I prefer. Would likely skip next time. Taro bun - I love purple so this was very pretty. It's not too sweet either but rich tasting from the taro filling. I would get this again for my mom and SO.Matcha sesame ball - handles reheating in air fryer well. It was still chewy inside and packed with nutty sesame filling. Hard to pick up the matcha flavor though. Would get this or regular sesame ball next time.Curry beef pie - delicious buttery flaky crust. If you like curry you will like this. I'm not the biggest fan so would skip this next time.BBQ pork pie - another great crust and the filling was delicious but for the same price I prefer the meat to pastry ratio of the ABC pork puff.Coconut pie - might have been because I reheated this in the air fryer first but it was a bit dryer than I would like. Likely not going to rebuy this one either."
"This place has THE best shumai and egg tarts that I've ever had. First time here today and I will definitely come back whenever someone I know is in town and we crave for dumplings! Service was so sweet and efficient, and I just can't get over how delicious the shumai was. They were huge, and you would get a shrimp in every bite! I loved living the cart experience and the tea was so soothing and complemented the egg tarts very well. Definitely one of my favorites here and can't wait to be back! The only thing I wouldn't order again was the Xiao Long Bao as I found them to be dry, which isn't good for a soup dumpling. But the other items on the menu were delicious!Ambiance was good. We came right at opening so it started off quiet but it didn't take long for people to come pouring in. The service was excellent!"
6 pieces. Slices of slow-simmered beef with onions, scallions, cucumber, cilantro and house special sauce.

"Family ran, small business selling dim sum and hot Chinese food. CASH only. The dim sum recipes are old school Cantonese. The hot food is classic Americanized Chinese. The place is not fancy. I usually go there the first thing in the morning when they open at 8am. They already have a selection of fresh dim sum and fried chicken (drumsticks and thighs). They have BBQ pork buns, pineapple buns, cocktail buns, hot dog buns, shu mai, har gow always at the morning get go at 8am. They might even have sesame balls, ham sui goo (fried pork filled glutinous rice dumplings, fried chicken, and egg custards ready to go. I enjoy all the dim sum. Plus the fresh fried chicken in the morning makes for a tasty breakfast. The nondescript shop is on the corner of U and 12th Street in the urban downtown suburb. It's across the street from an elementary school. Parking is free street parking with more spots across the street on U Street (those are pull in spots)."
"First time to restaurant. Ordered chicken chow mien, barbecue pork buns and gyoza. All the dishes were very good. Lots of chicken in the dish. The steamed buns and gyoza very very tasty. The sauces that went with the dishes were excellent. Very busy traffic area and not too much parking available. I will definitely be going to this restaurant again."
"This is my favorite Chinese restaurant to go to! My go-to order is the General's chicken lunch special. Their lunch specials come with a good amount of food! Soup, an egg roll, chow mein, fried rice, and your choice of entree. You can make 2 meals out of the lunch special! The General's chicken is so good, it's hard for me to try and order something different! This time around I decided to try the beef wonton noodle soup. It was really good. The broth was light, yet super flavorful. The wontons were flavored well too. I think next time, I would just get wonton noodle soup. No need for any extra meat in there."
"I have been to this restaurant several times with friends. I am never disappointed. Excellent Dim Sum. Very fresh vegetables. It gets pretty loud and crowded which is a testament to the good fresh food. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you want good Dim Sum."
"This dim sum restaurant is located in a busy plaza. Finding parking is difficult and the spaces are small. The food was tasty but not as warm or fresh tasting as push cart style dim-sum. We also ordered salty fish fried rice with a side of XO SAUCE (small container $3, very pricey). Delicious by the way. I do hate that they don't have chili oil and instead use the red chili container that is lacking in spice. It is more vinegar than spicy. Most dim sum places have the chili oil that you mix with soy sauce to dip with your dim sum. Other than that, most of it was pretty good."
"Cute little traditional spot to grab some lunch or dinner. Our server was very efficient and attentive, brought out out food almost immediately with waters and sauces. I got some bbq pork baos and they were my favorite out of the dishes we ordered. The bbq pork is sweet but not too sweet and has the perfect amount of filling. It pairs well with one of the sweeter sauces. We also tried the chicken and shrimp dumplings and they were really good and filling with the chili oil, and the dumplings themselves were STUFFED. Overall great spot to fulfill my dumpling cravings."
"Didn't know what to expect from a new restaurant featured on doordash with no reviews on Yelp, but I was pleasantly surprised! Greatly appreciated the combo which had two of my favs (siu mai, har gow) and two that I wouldn't usually order (lotus wrap, pork bun) ALL were delicious! Didn't need any sauce but I love hot chili oil and soy sauce so a meager drip went a long way.Definitely would eat again, either via delivery or visiting the new Sactown Eats locations!"
"This family-owned gem has a lot of heart and great food. The co-owner is full of energy and truly adds to the experience. If she knows you speak Japanese, get ready for a fun chat. she'll spill all the tea about the restaurant's community and business, which is a nice personal touch. The dim sum is a must-try, along with the scallop fried rice .both dishes are absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The small portion sizes are more than enough, so don't worry about overordering.Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for good food and an even better atmosphere!"

Dim sum like you've never seen it before - at least not in the Sacramento area. Forget the long lines and wait times at other establishments. Come to this small and cozy shop with dim sum the size of Shaquille O'Neils palm! The flavor is just as big too! They have a huge variety in the freezer section as well in case you want to heat and eat at your convenience.

OMG I lived in the Sac region for over 25+ years and I don't know how I missed ever coming to Ming Dynasty! I got invited to my daughter's BF Chinese New Year family dinner here a few weeks back and OMG was I impressed. I have driven right past this place for years and even a few weeks back the outside wouldn't have pulled me in. Parked outside a little sketchy with some the homeless people wandering around, but they did have a security guard so made it feel a little safer. Walking in not what I was expecting either felt more like a banquet hall more than anything. What did catch my eye were the massive fish tanks across the back wall with tons of lobsters, crabs and other delicious seafood! Inside to be honest nothing special and the bathrooms not that special either actually kinda dirty on my night visiting. But what made up for it was the amazing service and even more amazing food! This place brought me back to eating in downtown SF as a kid in China Town. Everything is served family style and the flavors out of bounds! My absolute hands down favorites were lobster chow mein literally with the whole lobster. Then the Peking duck and build your own boa buns with plum sauce was so good!!!! I loved the environment here as well on the night I was here it was such a party with huge families gathered to celebrate. So happy I got the invite and look forward hopefully getting another one next year!

Small market in Downtown Sac that's been here for many, many years. It's cash only. Great place for baos; the baked cha siu baos are my favorite menu item. Affordable & good food. They do sell out of things, so it's better to come in the earlier hours.

Returning back a year later to change my rating because they put regular pork xiao long bao back on the menu, instead of only the shrimp/pork. This place has the best pork xiao long bao I've ever tasted, so that was a long year for me considering I would order them at least once a week. But seriously, whatever sauce they use for the dumplings is amazing, no other place has anything like it. I'm very glad to return to my favorite dumpling place

The food is delicious and the staff is quick. There is a parking lot on the side but it's in a walkable location.

This place always serves the best dimsum. This is one of my favorite dimsum restaurants. There are others that are good in the area, but I feel this place offers authentic dishes and fresh HOT options. I've been to some dimsum restaurants that serve cold dimsum; or you order from a menu, which defeats the dimsum cart experience. They offer menu items as well as group pricing for their items. We ordered various dishes from the cart, and from the menu we had minced beef soup, salty fish fried rice, and crispy Df shrimp rolls . The service has improved so much over the years. The staff (although they don't speak much English) were very attentive and made sure we had hot tea and cleaned our empty trays allowing extra room on the table . I love this place and I hope you all do too!

Loudness: 81 decibels. Lunchtime with almost 100% occupancy.I love this place! We got here around 1pm on a Saturday and had a minimal wait. We ordered hot tea and four dim sum items: bbq pork bao, shrimp steamed dumplings, pork friend dumplings and broccoli. Everything was delicious. Perfect sized portions for two of us. Prompt and polite service. Will return!

I'm a sucker for dumplings and noodles and Dumpling House satisfies my cravings every time! If I'm in the area, I'll place an order to go. I love their pork and chive dumpling, Shu Mai, and chow mein. The Dan Dan noodles are good too. If I'm in a rush and don't have time to go to Lam Kwong for their BBQ pork Bao, I'll just get it here. Overall, I like the convenience of Dumpling House. They satisfy my hankering for some Dim Sum. Wish they had Har Gow. The menu isn't all that you would find in a typical dim sum joint but it does the job !.

"I gave Yum Cha Cafe a called and placed an order over the phone. Placed a $50 deposit over the phone and paid the rest at the store. Our order was on time and ready for pick up when we got there. The whole roast pork was really great. The skin is super crispy and seasoning was evenly flavored. My family really liked the roasted pork and will definitely ordered from Yum Cha Cafe again."
"This is probably the best little restaurant in the neighborhood with a very nice menu, tasty food and great service usually the one young, man who seems to be always there (maybe the owner?) We live only about 1/2 mile from the shopping center so it could not be more convenient and it is located very close to a Nugget Market, Petco, a very good shipping/mailing store, and Msrshall's.The server is very knowledgeable and does a great job describing and suggesting menu items. We have been here about four or five times and have always found it very satisfying."
"So glad to have happened upon this restaurant after taking a trip up to Sacramento area. Yup Long Dumpling is located in a shopping plaza (so plenty of shared parking with other locations) and is actually a lot bigger inside than it looks on the outside. We were sat down quickly for a Sunday afternoon and our server was very attentive to our needs bringing us water and menus right away. We ordered several different types of dim sum, tried the hot and sour soup, and got an order of beef pan fried noodles. I will say the hot and sour soup was a little bland, and the chilli wontons could've been spicier. But that could just be me and my group's spice tolerances. Other than that, everything we ate was DELICIOUS. It was all freshly made, not too greasy, and it totally hit the spot for our dimsum cravings. Not sure when we'll be back in the area but if we ever are this is a spot I'd be more than happy to come back to and try more yummy food."
"8/9/2024-Hungry and had a little time to grab something before visiting my relative..Busy but easy to grab a table..Ordered the regular dim sum, plus the gai Lon and soy sauce chow mein-( hard to find at my hometown)..All the food came out hot and tasteful..Had to flag down staff for the bill..Expensive.. $92 ..As I stood in line- there's a big note saying the charges for diners table 2-5 and 6 or more gratuity will be added,,I left a cash tip, but after reading that and speaking to the cashier, I went back and grabbed my cash..Did I get 15-18% worth of service... ??I think I should be the one to decide..All in all food was very satisfying for a loved starved dim sum eater.."
"For the love of boba, teas and snackies. For a quick drink or some tasty snacks they got you!!Employee's always on the go but still helpful and courteous. From the vast aray of drinks and snack options they have been delicious and filling. No matter how you like it they can make from hot, iced or blended. And even choose your sugar levels from 0 to 100%, same goes for the levels of ice, from a little to lot.Parking is spacious outside and the seating inside is the same."
"Quality/Quantity - Huge extensive menu, but they were still able to do ALL of it well! And our guest tried to order everything on the menu, JK.Complimentary appetizers, Deep Fried Rice and Meat Pocket - Thank you, and it was piping HOT off the frier. Fried Cheese Wonton (6) - Fresh out of the fryer, so wait a few minutes before eating or you might burn yourself. My daughter's favorite.Shrimp Dumplings - Good.Pork Dumpling - Good, consistent with typical dim sum.Shark Fin Dumpling - One of my favorites!Chao Zhou Dumpling - As there were only 3, I forfeited my share. Plus I do not really enjoy peanut dim sum.Beef Rice Noodle Roll - Two orders; we were only able to finish one.Pan Fried Pork Bun - Fried well. Well proportioned with bread/dough and filling. See picture of the half bun.Sticky Rice, Chicken - We were all so full that no one ate this. Gave one to our guest to take home, and we took the other home. Might update this review after eating.Minced Pork Lettuce Wrap - Home run, fresh crispy lettuce with flavorful pork. Need I say more?Pan Fried Stuffed Tofu - Another one of my daughter's favorite.Pan Fried Stuffed Mushrooms - Another daughter's favorite.Pan Fried Stuffed Eggplant - Trying to eat healthier.Hot Tea - Thanks for using real tea leaves rather than tea bags. But I would prefer a filter to minimize the leaves in my cup.Thai Iced Tea - Good, a treat for my well deserved daughter. Atmosphere - Huge location. Banquet room, side semi private room, main dining room, etc.Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm.Plenty of mall parking.Service - 5+ stars! Looks like the entire extended family works and eats here.Everyone is so welcoming and friendly.Plus, thank you for all the complementary foods, etc.It also helps that our guest is a regular customer.Price - $110 + generous tip. Inexpensive for all that we got!Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2021. I know it is getting more and more competitive in the banquet room market; wishing you the best."
"We are not strangers to dim sum, so we decided to try this place. It was so cold and windy outside, and they sat us by the door which froze us. That was very unpleasant. But this place was slammin'. They food never stops coming around. The workers are always busy. It is hard to understand what they are offering you to eat, but I guess that is how you try things. We have been to other dim sum places, and this one seemed a little more expensive than our normal place, and they didn't seem to have as much, unless those carts just didn't make it to us. What we did get, we enjoyed. It was a little far away from home to travel to, but if we go to that area, we would go there again."
"I wanted to enjoy this place so badly - they have AMAZING food options including a traditional beef noodle soup, dumplings -- it's fully authentic and delicious! However, the service was also authentically hole in the wall in that the waiter was unhelpful and cold. Highly recommend this meal as takeout."
"No frills just fresh steamed dumplings and buns. The classic dim sum fare. Cash and card accepted! This is more a takeout spot but the dumplings are authentic."
"Had a random craving for soup dumplings and figured we would try this place! Was going to get the original xiao long baos but decided to go for truffle. I could actually taste the truffle and it was very flavorful, it was delicious. Got the Cucumber salad (not pictured), which was a refreshing appetizer. Lastly, simple uncle fried rice because a toddler loves rice hahah. it was good, simple, our son approved! overall service was good and quick! provided high chair and a bowl for our son. small and clean location. would come back if ever around the area!"
"Hands-down, the best dim sum in the area! Everyone kept talking about Asian Pearl and how we should go to Asian Pearl to have dim sum but I got my brothers whom are major foodies to change their mind and put Happy Garden back on the map!!! This place is nostalgic for going back to the Happy place in so many of us. The owner came out to ensure everything was going well because they were getting ready to clean up the dim sum carts, but we still got to order in some big time favorites and it hit the spot bc everything was on point and delicious. This place does not disappoint and if you have a big crowd and want good spacious ambience, it is the number one Chinese restaurant to visit not just for basic dining in but also for hosting a big celebratory gathering or even a wedding!"
"Competitively priced. Plentiful options. Great flavor and sweetness. Clean and spacious Boba shop. Most important? Friendly and kind service! -One regular Thai Tea with Boba -One Thai Tea with Boba and 80% sugar -One Taro Tea with less ice and 80% sugar Everyone was a happy camper. Side note: 80% is plenty sweet will even give 50% a try next time. Again, super sweet associates working."
"This is sucha clean, beautiful little bakery and cafe. Staff is super friendly and kind. They told me that they use real fruit for their drinks, and not powder like the other boba spots. I've been to the other location in South Sac, but I'm glad this one is here, so I can grab a small snack at lunch, or on the way home. This location offers dim sum which I thought was convenient. I didn't get to try it, but I will my next visit!"
"This is a local legendary bakery and after one visit I can see why. At 10 am they were still packing in people looking forward to their weekend bakery treats. They offer a large variety of baked goods and steamed dumplings. They are famous for their BBQ pork buns, which they sell by the dozen or singly. We made a variety of selections. Taro roll, BBQ pork bun, mochi tart, etc. My favorite was the egg tart with an outstanding flaky tart crust and their apple turnover. While waiting in line a helpful customer ahead of us gave me some insider tips to get the freshest pork buns, and shared which delights her kids liked best. A sweet S. Sacramento moment for sure. It's obvious why there are lines snaking out the front door here, but the able and efficient bakery staff work quickly and effectively. Definitely worth the visit. Note: cash or debit card are the only payment forms accepted."
"This place is good. I recommend calling ahead or using Yelp to make reservations as there are limited spaces to sit. Items from this place are meant to be shared with whoever you are with. Our family ordered a cucumber salad, chicken chow mien, broccoli, salt and pepper spare ribs, orange chicken, ube baked bao, and other items. Everything tasted great. Our favorite was the chow fun. Those wet noodles were very tasty. The servers were really nice. I enjoyed the staff working the front along with the wait staff. The interior was decorated for lunar new year which is nice. I highly recommend this dumpling restaurant next time you are in the Roseville area."
