"I want to love the flying wok but it's hard. The food is good but has way too much msg. The owners are sooo nice but they need to clean this dirty dirty place. The whole restaurant is coated with a film of oil and dust. They cover everything in the kitchen in foil to save time on cleaning. Bad idea. It is just a husband and wife team and They are open everyday. They need either more staff or close 2 days a week to have some recovery time and cleaning time."
"Came here after finding Rice Theory was sold out and Tealicious was located in the same parking lot. We walked in and it was busy but the wait wasn't too bad before we were seated. Yelp said they were know for their roasted duck and roasted pork. We got the beef chow fun, roasted duck rice place, thin egg noodles with soy sauce, mango fruit tea, and taro milk tea. Took a while for all the dishes to come out. The duck came out first and the flavor was spot on! It was a little sweet but had a that nice roasted taste. Some of the pieces were more bone than meat which was disappointing. The chow fun came next and rice noodles were thick and soft. The thin egg noodles came last and was a little too greasy for me. The tea drinks were good but tasted like any other boba spot. Service was like your standard busy restaurant, a little messy and chaotic. The staff did their best to bring out the drinks and food quickly. It's nice to know a good roasted duck spot and we hope to be back!"

"Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great, food came out promptly after ordering and was piping hot. Prices were very reasonable and portion sizes were large. 5/5!"
"Wonderful Chinese was one of our favorite restaurants in Elk Grove, and we were gutted when they closed. It was my dad's favorite restaurant and we have many wonderful memories from there. Parking is easy to find in their vast parking lot in the large shopping center they're in. We were promptly seated, and our drink orders were taken and received quickly. My wife and daughters opted for their lunch specials while I went with my usual, their chicken fried rice. My oldest loved the honey walnut shrimp lunch special. The lunch specials come with your choice of fried rice or white rice, won ton soup, an egg roll, and a fried won ton.My wife went with the sweet and sour chicken. Like everything there, the prices are fair, and the portions are large. I'd gladly make the trek from Elk Grove again and hope they consider opening another location here in the future."
"Glad to report that today's eat-in meal tasted fresh and well seasoned. As usual, very attentive and professional service. Staff aim to please and are very upbeat."
"Have gone here for many years and it is my Chinese fav!!!!! Reasonable in price so my book club is delighted when we meet and enjoy an awesome lunch. They never never rush us !!!! Portion size is large with soup and egg roll included. My fav is Mongolian beef and my husband loves sweet and sour chicken. Service is great. And you can order an item mild even if the menus has that spicy notation. Please come and enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner. If we don't ... family owned gems like this one will close"
"I have ordered Hot and Sour soup, Pot Stickers, Pork Chow Fun, Salt and Pepper chicken. I have never been disappointed with food here. The orders come out quickly and the ladies there are delightful. I've only been in the area for a year, so the place is kind of new to me. It looks like you used to be able to sit inside and dine but now it's only takeout.I don't think you'll be disappointed."
"Fantastic Traditional Chinese Food!SITREPI am so loving Asian & Pacific Islander Month because it's given me more focus on Asian cuisine and checking out more Asian restaurants. On this occasion my friend Annie and I checked out the much touted traditional Chinese spot: Canton Restaurant ("Canton").THE SETUPLocated on 47th Avenue, Canton is the absolutely delicious "Hole-In-The-Wall" (by definition!) and it touts a fantastic menu. Very reasonably priced, it reminds me of an old school "Drive-In" version of a restaurant: people pull into the large gravel parking lot, and they either have their to-go order already waiting for them, or they actually order in the lot.And in a very reasonable time, the to-go order is brought out, they pay for it, and the restaurant is kind enough to put the meal-to-go in a stable cardboard box to take home.LE MENUWe did an array of yummies:* Coconut Shrimp* Shrimp *& Vegetable Chow Mein* Sauteed Greens* Peppered Chicken Wings* Sodas and TeaEach dish was delicious and SO FILLING!THE LOWDOWNYou have to come check out the best Chinese Food in South Sacramento!"
"This is my favorite Chinese food in the area so good super affordable very quick to get your food ready only does pick up best Chinese food in the area"
"The curry was freaking delicious and fairly priced. Unfortunately the main problem here is, um well, how do I put this nicely. But let's just say your car may get broken into when it's dark, like high probability. This restaurant sits on the corner of Broadway and Stockton. There's just a lot of homeless people walking around. Me and my partner ate inside at night at like 6pm when it was dark, and straight up we saw some "sketchy" people. The parking lot is super small, so that does not help. Also next to this place is a "smoke shop." This area is just not good and there have been a lot of failed businesses on this corner. The food was good, but gosh the location is just SUPER SUPER sketchy. Also, I don't really like the Indian Afgan and Chinese options. I would say just choose a culture and be great at it rather than a jack of all trades master of none situation."
"Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love In My TummySITREPTraining in Rosemont area, and I need lunch - looks like Hong Kong House is filling the need today!THE SETUPWanted something quick and Hong Kong House was in the row of eateries along Folsom Blvd, next door to our Cal Center Business Park building complex. My colleague and I sauntered on over. We weren't particularly starving but certainly wanted something yummy to snack on (and perhaps grab a hot tea in this cold weather.APPETIZER SAMPLER!It fit the bill. There was TWO of every item (so the picture is only of MY half of the items), and we could sample each of the appetizers that Hong Kong House features, knowing what a full order would be like (if we pulled the trigger on that sometime in the future):* Egg Roll * Cheese Wanton* Foil Wrapped Chicken* Deep Fried Chicken Wing* Deep Fried PrawnTHE LOWDOWNFor $10.95, dare I say it was "Finger-Lickin Good!"? Well, there you go."
"I always see this restaurant and have been wanting to try them. My husband wanted Chinese food for dinner and I suggested this restaurant. We ordered the Sweet & Sour Pork, my husband's usual stand by, I ordered the Twice cooked pork belly, Chicken Kung Pao, and we also got Pork Chow mein. We were very pleased with the food and the portions, all of the food had SOOO much flavor!!! I am normally not the biggest fan of sweet and sour pork but this one was excellent, the pork had a nice crunch to the batter. The twice cooked pork belly was very yummy and had a bacon texture I wasn't expecting. I'm usually pretty picky with Kung Pao, and there's was excellent, the only thing missing for me which I'm used to was peanuts. The chow mein was excellent. We will definitely be returning customers, and I want to also give the dim sum a try. I can't wait to try more of what they have to offer, I'm just sad I haven't tried them sooner."

This is an allright hole in the wall spot. I got the fried rice with beef; it was a little dry and the beef pieces were small. Not one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, but not one of the worst. I'd eat here again.

Just stopped in, on my first visit here. I came in for the lunch special and enjoyed the delicious spicy Szechwan beef, which came with pork fried rice, chow mein and a tasty cup of hot and sour soup. I highly recommend!

I came here with my wife for dinner. Plenty of parking outside. We were seated right away by Lin. She then took our drink orders instantly. We got hot green tea and waters. We took a few minutes on the menu so many delicious authentic choices. we both got there special dinner options. My wife got the Cashew chicken which was celery, onion, bell peppers, ginger and garlic yum..and she got the white rice. I got the seasame chicken. The seasame chicken is pan fried and then covered in the seasame sauce yum not to spicy, but a little kick. The sauce was both sweet and savory. I got the pork fried rice for a couple dollars extra it's amazing. Both of our dishes started of with eggrolls, dumpling soup, foil wrapped chicken and wontons..yum..The restaurant stayed busy the whole time with people picking up to go and people eating there. It was very clean and they had two bathrooms that were very clean as well. We got super quick service by Lin and everything was delicious and we had leftovers...

We are West Sacramento locals so we love East Side Chef! They have huge serving sizes and fair prices for dinner and really good lunch specials. The staff are always really nice and are very quick even when it comes to takeout orders. The location is large and cozy and in the middle of a shopping center with lots of other things to do around it. I actually plan on doing my first party tray order for an event coming up and will update my posting about how that goes! If you are looking for the best sitdown Chinese food restaurant in the area then this would be the place to go! Some of our favorite dishes include the sesame chicken, the salt and pepper chicken, the crab cheese wontons, the egg foo young, the chow mein and the fried rice.

-Salt and pepper spare ribs. A bit too much breading and lots of oil -Salt and pepper shrimp wayyy too much breadingWhile the food was seasoned well and the food was prepared quickly but entirely too much breading on both meals. Not sure of o would give this place another try but maybe. I won't count it out too soon but the only thing worse than wasting money is wasting it on food that doesn't taste as good as it smells

Yummy! I completely understand why two dudes pulled up here just to order two eggrolls and then peace out the last time I was here waiting outside for my order. The eggrolls are just that delicious, and the biggest I have ever seen in my life. Don't let that fall on your foot, as my Grandpa would have said. They're also vegetarian! Woot woot! The menu has a dedicated vegetarian section, and several things can be made vegan upon request. I ordered orange tofu and eggrolls, and both were fantastic. You also get a ton of food so you'll have three meals at least in one, and for that price? Are they serious? I would absolutely order the orange tofu and eggrolls again, but I also want to try the different kinds of tofu dishes that they have available in the not too distant future. The guy who took our order was very kind and was the one who told me about the vegan mods if I wanted them. They do not have dine in yet in these trying times, so you'll have to either call ahead to order, or pull up, order outside, then wait for your food. There is a little shade so it isn't terrible on a hot day, and the wait is hardly anything at all. I think we waited 15 minutes once we had ordered. The parking lot looks mostly deserted but it is open during the posted hours on Yelp that I did check and see were up to date. There is plenty of room to park in the lot. Bathroom Report: UnavailableVegan Corner: Not marked on menu, but many items can be made vegan upon request. Vegetarian section is clearly marked.

"Stopped here on our way from Tahoe to the Bay and really enjoyed the food here! We ordered the orange chicken (the best dish), house chow mein and Mongolian beef. All the portions were much more than we expected and flavorful. The orange chicken was by far the best orange chicken I've had, unique for its crispiness. Definitely will come again!"
"This review speaks to No 1 Buffet space, accommodation and service. I didn't try the food. I was assisting my clients. Next time! I forgot to call ahead of time to see if they could accommodate 9 adult males on a Monday. Thankfully this location is large and has tons of seating. The waiters do a great job removing those extra plates so you don't look greedy. you rarely have to ask for a refill because they come around often. The eating area is clean and tables are space out enough you don't feel awkward while you are indulging a plate of crab legs. Next time I will come on my cheat day so I can enjoy the food and give an honest review. This review is just to let you know they do a great job accommodating large groups on short notice."
"So. . . My sister and I hadn't seen each other in a little while so we decided to get together and have dinner here at Dragon Beaux. I have just one word to describe this experience.: phenomenal!!The restaurant is quaint but beautifully designed and it definitely has the vibe for getting together and having a good time while eating great food. Our server Sandy was absolutely amazing. Extremely personable and had very good energy. She was very patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted to try, offering suggestions that turned out to be excellent. I promise you our food started coming out about three minutes after we ordered. We had all of our food within 10 to 15 minutes. And the food was so good.Beautiful decor. Great food. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!"
"Food is delicious!! Service is good. Prompt food service. Good portions. Reasonably priced! Two dings: it would be nice to reupholster the booths and a fly trap might help."
"Enjoyed a bowl of a 10piece beef dumpling soup. I opted for self service ordering since the gent at the register was taking a call in order. Service was quick and I was already sipping on soup and snapping these photos in a couple of minutes. Even on a warm day, I enjoyed having the soup. Requested chopsticks but soup spoon, fork, and napkins come when the tray is served. Would have loved to have tried some garlic chili oil but could not tell if any were any available, as there were no condiments on the tables. Fair pricing, the wrapper was a little thicker than I'm used to, and the meats were all uniform in taste, size, and texture. The soup was flavorful and beautifully garnished with tasty green and white onions. Very good soup, I almost finished it all. If you like noodles, you can order some on the side, but to me, the dumpling wrapper was all the extra noodle I would want. Was able to finish the bowl, but could have easily saved half for later. Looks like they would have lids and baggies readily available for to go. Satisfying, good taste, fast, would definitely go again. Not many places still open in this part of downtown, so the good ratings here are well deserved."
"Some of the best Chinese food in the area. Can be quite busy, but worth the wait. Staff is friendly and efficient."
"Located in Sacramento, Lucky Express has been a go-to spot for many people in the area. I first heard about it through Doordash, and decided to give it a try. However, my experience with this establishment left me disappointed. The food quality was poor, with questionable meat being used in their dishes. As someone who values the taste and freshness of my food, this was a major letdown. Additionally, the location of Lucky Express is not the most inviting, as it is situated in a less desirable area. However, one positive aspect is that they do accept EBT, making it accessible for those who rely on this form of payment. Now, let's switch gears and talk about the friendly and funny side of Lucky Express. Despite my initial disappointment, I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the name "Lucky" Express. Perhaps it's lucky for some, but unfortunately not for me. However, I have to give credit where credit is due, their service was fast. I guess when you have questionable meat, you want to get it out to the customer as quickly as possible before they realize what they're eating. All jokes aside, I hope that the management at Lucky Express takes steps to improve their food"
"They're back open and AMAZING.Always solid, always on time and a great spot for some typical Chinese food you can rely on for a quick dinner tonight and lunch for the next day."
"We went there last night. Omg! The place looks fantastic! It's beautiful. The buffet is well stocked with all kinds of food! The food is hot and fresh! The wait staff is very attentive. The sushi is always being made by the sushi chefs. This place is wonderful!"
"Quiet little place where you still get fortune cookies at the end of your meal. I love this place and it's always a stop simply for the garlic chicken. Everything else is tasty but I haven't been able to find anywhere else who does garlic chicken like this!!! Sometimes takeout gets busy but it's always a nice quiet place to grab a bite and in the summer they keep it nice and cool. So if u love garlic chicken or just wanna say you've tried it.... Stop in for a cold drink, tasty food and a relaxed environment. Couldn't believe this place wasn't on yelp yet! Happy eating."
"We got here at around 11:30am. The food was fresh! The place is big and by 12:00pm was full and I went around just to see the foods selection again and it was always full and well stocks I was very impressed. My fav is the Mongolian stir fry bar, it was so fun to add the things you want to the noodle and there is an option to get tacos as well. There were many foods section mostly Asian foods but there is pizza and chicken wings as well. They also have great selection of sushi. It was only $14.99/ person. There are many desserts selections as well! Service was great! They always refill my water when it get low and they clear the table when needed. I didn't feels like I need to look for them or feels they rushing me either. Will definitely come back!"
"Our go to Chinese restaurant either dine in or DoorDash. Beef Broccoli, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour pork, etc. etc. Everything is delicious !!!"
"Tiny hole in the wall. Seating for 7 people only. HUGE menu of basic Chinese fast food dishes with great prices! Food is 109% fresh and tastes great! And giant portions!Call your order in ahead of time about 20 minutes to get it fresh and hot!"
"My favorite Chinese gem in Sacramento on Freeport. I can't begin to tell you how this bowl of soup warms your soul after a long work day. Can get dry tossed or soup based noodles, but personally dry tossed is the way to go. Self serve pickled vegetables is what makes this dish and it's fun experimenting with what works. Each bowl comes with soup and can be used to mellow out your bowl if you went overboard on the toppings. I don't know Chinese but have always had luck reading the number of the dish (A1, A17, etc) to the cashier and they are always super nice and friendly to me. The place can get very crazy at peak lunch and dinner time so it can be a little chaotic so be mindful of what time you come in cause there may not be seats at times."
"Great experience here for my first time. The food was great and full of flavor. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I have never felt so welcomed at a restaurant."
"They give you a lot of food and the lunch combo is best deal under $10. Heavy fried food and dipping sauce is tasty. Many people go here for the crab. Not us though."
"Cute small spot. Many Chinese people eating here. I enjoyed the heat on the pickled greens pork. Also, braised pork belly buns is delicious soft and not too sweet. The winter melon pork soup came in this masssssive bowl. Definitely interested in trying the other stuff, good portions, staff was attentive and friendly."
"Ordered some take out and it was amazing. The restaurant is nice if you decide to sit and enjoy but I was entertaining guests and this time for we got delivery. We ordered the Family Dinner Option B and added a Pork Fried Rice. The food is always delicious and plentiful. I will definitely be working my way through the other dinner options but the ones we had were on point. The Mongolian Beef was especially tasty, the Mandarin Chicken was sweet and had just a perfect hint of spice, the chicken chow mien was decent and fresh. The soup was really good. Perfect for then cold rainy day we ordered it."
"This place is probably more take out than eat in and I get it. Kinda dated, off the beaten path and a bit weird. BUT~ the food is 10 of 10 and prices are affordable. Healthy clean options without all the fat. Service is a bit too fast but I guess all the 1 hour lunch workers want efficiency and quality in lunch. Try it~ you will probably come back."
"I came here for new years day 2024. Walked in no waiting, nice and clean establishment. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly. I ordered salt and pepper shrimp ala carte and rice. When my order was ready the gentleman gave me a new years calendar and free dessert! The food was delicious not over or undercooked. I'm very pleased about the food and service. I'll definitely will be going back to try more food!"
"We've gotten take out from the Jade Fountain several times now, and since becoming vegetarian, I always order the same exact thing because it is mouth-watering, great value, and combines into one dish things I would have to order separately at basically every other Chinese place I frequent.Chinese Vegetable with Bean Curd. Be sure to repeat this exactly from the menu so there isn't any confusion. I tend to get the Hong Kong Style Noodle treatment when I order this one. Are you sure you want that? Yes quite sure. Promise. Chinese Vegetable with Bean Curd. It is a beautiful medley of the Chinese vegetables I love, AND tofu (bean curd is tofu, mind blowing I know), nice and juicy, not fried, possibly braised, I'm not a chef, AND tofu skin, AND all of this is over a bed of thin noodles in sauce. It's easily enough for two meals, even three if you're not super hungry. Amazing. Presentation is also something to consider here. I've never seen a place cut carrot pieces into tiny little shapes. Flowers, geometrical shapes, even snowflakes. Wow. I also like the veggie egg rolls. They're crispy and have excellent flavor with minimal grease. My feller gets meat eater dishes and has enjoyed all of them so far. Customer service is great. No complaints. We have not dined in here together in a long time, so this is mostly a review for to go orders. Check out Jade Fountain if you like a real vegetarian menu and delicious food for a good price."
"I ordered 22 with no noodles. The egg roll was clear wrap and deliciously crunchy. The portions were huge. It was very filling. Hole in the wall place with great food and nice service."
"This is the gem we've been seeking since relocating to the area. I love the ambiance, it's incredibly clean, the service is delightful, and the food was my favorite Chinese food I've ever eaten. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this establishment. It was spicy, light, and incredibly fresh. This is our new go-to date spot. The chili-garlic noodles were phenomenal, and my husband LOVED the Szechuan chicken. I am already looking forward to going back. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot- they will not disappoint."
