We tried the honey walnut Chicken, orange chicken , and the Imperial rice, and every dish was packed with flavor. The portions were generous, andeverything tasted fresh andwell-prepared. It is definitely most delicious Asian food I've ever tried. What surprised me most was thepricing-for the quality and portion sizes, it's a great deal compared to other places in the area. Overall, this place is one of a kind. Greatambiance, excellent service, andincredible food at reasonable prices. I have been coming back for about 13 years."

It was the reacquaintance I needed to put Fat's back on my dining and happy hour circuit.Greeted so warmly by Ben, who was the ultimate one-band man, welcoming committee! He patiently let me look around to decide upon the perfect place to conduct "girl" business over drinks and food! He even suggested the best of the best tables for that very important agenda:). After peeking outside at some nicely shaded tables and the main dining room, I decided upon a high top table in the bar where no patrons had yet landed. Such a show stopper of a bar! Gorgeous. As I sat, Whitney, the bartender, was there in a flash. The great customer service just keeps on coming! There is no need to look at the drink menu. When I am at any of the "Fat's" restaurant locations, one of the award winning Mai Tai's is always in order. Always! I enjoyed watching Whitney mix up her potion for me as she was the front and center entertainment. And it was wonderful! Exotically delicious! Thank you, Whitney!The Girls arrived ready for drinks and food! Again, our lovely bartender and server, Whitney, was table side and taking drink requests. A bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was ordered and in no time arrived on ice! The chicken pot stickers were chosen as an appetizer, and we were on our way!So, I have reviewed the 5-star ambiance and customer service. Let us talk food! Menu highlights include Chinese, Asian Fusion, and Seafood staples. There are so many items from which to choose! Those starter chicken and spring onion pot stickers were delicious. They hit the spot with the just perfect temperature, glass of SB. Our main meal order consisted of stir fry Garlic Green Beans, Mongolian Baby Back Ribs, and Hong Kong Special Chow Mein. All three dishes were superb! Hot! Fresh! Delicious! 5-plus stars! The ribs were mouth-watering. Wok-tossed with a Mongolian glaze. So meaty. We were licking the glaze off our fingers:). The presentation was beautiful. Without asking, Whitney brought us steamy, wet cloth napkins, which we gladly accepted and appreciated. The green beans were garlicky and cooked to perfection. The sauce was addictive. Yum! The HK Special chow mein consisted of shrimp, scallops, chicken, barbecued pork, and vegetables over soft pan-friend noodles . So satisfying! This is food I remember loving before Covid. My dining experience today reminded me of what I have been missing. There is a Happy Hour, which I look forward to returning to soon! My favorite Mai Tai is on HH list! Woohoo! And should you have room for dessert, we all know about the famous banana cream pie.This is a classy, upscale restaurant with first-class servers and spectacular inside architectural features. The food is simply not to be missed! While casual is the dress code, it just feels like you should be dressed to the nines as they say. Even the restrooms are lovely and so clean. (There was no one sitting outside at the time.) Another woman came to wipe down our table, and not too long after that, the woman who took my order brought it to our table. She apologized for the wait, which was actually only about 5 minutes. My understanding is that their dumplings are either boiled ("dumplings") or fried ("pot stickers"). The latter can be prepared either pan fried or deep fried (your choice). I had the veggie dumplings (so, boiled). They were super fresh (and hot!), and filled with small bits of veggies. I know there were carrots, and maybe celery, chives, ...? Honestly, I'm not sure what was in there, but it was a delicious mixture. The dipping sauce they gave was a delicious blend of sweet, salty, and spicy, with none of those three overwhelmingly strong.You might think 10 dumplings wouldn't be enough for a meal, but for me, it definitely was. They're quite filling, and a good deal for the price. And so tasty!"

We went before the dinner crowd, around 3:30 on a Friday and we were the only ones there, so we had our pick of booth or table. There were a couple of people that came in to pick up orders while we waited for our dinner.The Food:We ordered several entrees: two different plates: (1) Sweet and Sour Pork Plate and Egg Drop soup(2) Chicken with garlic sauce over rice; fried chicken appetizer; and a to go meal, Tofu with two types of mushrooms. The portions were large and the food was excellent. Waiting time was reasonable given what we ordered, also we were the only ones there. Our food was served hot, not lukewarm. Like I said the portions were large and we ended up with leftovers in addition to the To-Go Meal. I had my tofu and mushroom for dinner the next day and it was very tasty over rice.Service:Sever was friendly and refilled our drinks regularly throughout the course of eating. She answered questions we had about the menu items which helped us with choosing our meals. Our To Go Meal was ready when we were ready to leave and that was a nice surprise that we did not have to wait for it after we finished.Pricing:Individual and combination meal items are reasonably priced, but can add up quickly if you are hungry. There are a plethora of tasty choices on the menu, something for everyone. I plan to eat here again, or do take out.Recommendation:I definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner."

I am usually disappointed and unsatisfied with most places, until I encountered Happy Takeout and their authentic American Chinese food.If you want a personal meal, you can't go wrong with the lunch/dinner specials. It comes with fried rice, chow mein, an eggroll and a cheese wonton (dinner special only). The portion is large enough to spread it across two meals or share with a friend.If you are feeding several people I suggest grabbing a carb such as the beef chow fun or chicken chow mein, then pick a few entries that your heart desires.If you have a party, Happy Takeout got your back. I call in a day ahead to schedule my pick up. Each party tray is around $45+/- and is equivalent to 5 entrees. Four to five party trays will easily feed a party of 30. We have catered our last few parties with Happy Takeout and everyone has been satisfied. Even my family members who are picky with their Chinese food love the chow mein and have been using them for catering.Their menu is extensive so here are my go-to entrees:Salt and Pepper Chicken - Crispy crunch morsels of protein tossed with garlic, onions, and jalapenos. I don't know what they do but their fried battered meat always stays crispy even when I have gotten my order door dashed. Their fish version is also great.Hot Garlic Fish - This is a dish that surprised me. The fish is fried then coated in their hot garlic sauce and tossed with veggies. My favorite of the "hot garlic" entrees and my wife's overall favorite.Broccoli Beef/Green Bean Beef - Gotta have some veggies and these are Chinese takeout staples.The other sauced fried meat dishes such as general chicken and sweet and sour pork hold up decently and is what my father in law usually gets.When it comes down to it, you do you. If something calls out to you, just order it and let yourself be happy."

I ordered to go and didn't dine in but when I went to pick up, it was pretty busy on a Sunday morning. It could get a little noisy the don't expect for a quiet eating experience lol. Noodles first with chili oil in the side. it was great. I love the simplicity of DanDan noodles when I can find it. peanuts, chili spice, green onion. Love! the chicken with green beans was next and close to perfection. green beans were not over cooked but perfectly blistered and tender. chicken was not dry and had great flavor. bbq pork fried rice was good. simple, not overwhelming sweetness on the pork. the veg in it left a bit to be desired but i would likely order it again. overall, fantastic food that really hit the spot. There was a bit of a delay on getting the check and boxes for leftovers but i will definitely return."

Took a while for all the dishes to come out. The duck came out first and the flavor was spot on! It was a little sweet but had a that nice roasted taste. Some of the pieces were more bone than meat which was disappointing. The chow fun came next and rice noodles were thick and soft. The thin egg noodles came last and was a little too greasy for me. The tea drinks were good but tasted like any other boba spot. Service was like your standard busy restaurant, a little messy and chaotic. The staff did their best to bring out the drinks and food quickly. It's nice to know a good roasted duck spot and we hope to be back!"

They have creative sushi rolls with vegan "tuna", crab, caviar, shrimp, beef, and sauces.We tried the M.A.T.T.H.E.W tartare ($22.37) and H.O.S.E.A dessert ($4.60) from the SVCC menu, and the jalapeño poppers ($9.45) and Meteor Garden roll ($13.45) from the regular vegan menu. Everything was delicious! The tartare was very impressive and fun to eat! The roll was amazing & the tempura onions added so much flavor. The dessert was very good also, and reminded me of a vegan cheesecake, so don't be afraid of the avocado and edamame ingredients and give it a try! The ambience is good for a casual date night as it's not too busy or loud, at least when we went in. They informed me when we came in that it would be a bit of a wait, but we didn't end up waiting too long for our food. Quality is pretty good. Some favorites are Spicy Dragon, King Kong, Fujiyama, Lucky, Ninja, Dynamite, Snow storm, Godfather, Sasa, and Cherry blossom. Service was quick and I was already sipping on soup and snapping these photos in a couple of minutes. Even on a warm day, I enjoyed having the soup. Requested chopsticks but soup spoon, fork, and napkins come when the tray is served. Would have loved to have tried some garlic chili oil but could not tell if any were any available, as there were no condiments on the tables. Fair pricing, the wrapper was a little thicker than I'm used to, and the meats were all uniform in taste, size, and texture. The soup was flavorful and beautifully garnished with tasty green and white onions. Very good soup, I almost finished it all. If you like noodles, you can order some on the side, but to me, the dumpling wrapper was all the extra noodle I would want. Was able to finish the bowl, but could have easily saved half for later. Looks like they would have lids and baggies readily available for to go. Satisfying, good taste, fast, would definitely go again. Not many places still open in this part of downtown, so the good ratings here are well deserved."
