I'd like to say it's like family, but eh, I like to spend time here to get away from my family! Lol, I/k. Sorry, not sorry! But hey, they have a kids room too! My Little's love to come and hang out while mommy works out! There's so many classes to choose from, you'll be able to experience many different trainers and classes from HIIT, TRX, small group, Pilates and more! Come check out a class for FREE and say you read this awesome review :) I don't get anything for it, other than a lot of sweat and muscles :)"

Lily Y. "Power Pack is the best gym I've ever been to! The trainers, especially owners Brandon and Sofia, are SO welcoming and genuinely happy to see you. I went throughout my second pregnancy, and the trainers were amazing at giving me modifications. As a busy parent, the 8:15 barre class after school drop-off is perfect for fitting in a workout. They also build a real sense of community with free events like hikes and a run club. Unlike other gyms, it's not cliquey--just positive vibes with high fives and smiles all around. If you're thinking about trying a class, do it!"

Pippi L. "This review is specific to the Kid Tuff program run by this gym, and it is AMAZING. I've been bringing my daughters to the Kid Tuff classes since early December. This program is great! I was worried about karate and tae kwon do, which I had checked out. While they loved the classes (at bday parties, open days), I was very concerned about the cost (of uniforms, classes and potential costs for tournaments) and the focus on discipline. My girls are athletic and on other teams where discipline is important and cost is high. What I wanted? Were for my kids to be able to shock the hell out of a would-be kidnapper or bully by suddenly throwing a hard punch, possibly biting and causing serious damage, and being able to run a quick mile to get away and find help. And THAT is what I'm getting. There ain't no "art" in this martial. My 12 year old is faster than most of the teenagers and can drop flat and pop back up in less than a second and can also now punch ridiculously hard. My 6 y.o. can kick groins, throw some hard hammerblows, and then run a mile in about 10 minutes. The Kid Tuff program is a loose group, kids show up on MW evening and on Sat/Sun morning with parents (parents can work out too and help with the class, older kids get some leadership experience in leading stretching and helping get the younger kids worked out). Chris meets with the group, runs through some tough calisthenics and hard core training, and then often does a training exercise in perception usually (he will go outside and lurk while the kids run a mile around the building, and their task is to see him---even when they are getting tired, even when they are being passed by other kids---they need to make eye contact so that he knows he's been "seen", they get used to looking around themselves and being aware.) Also during these runs, they may have some stations where they kick and punch pads. Chris is CONSTANTLY calling out drills and the kids will stand at attention to hear the next direction. He's also very kind. Once, a dad yelled at his son because one of my "girls" was beating him, and Chris called out that girls can be just as tough and just as powerful speed-wise. It was nice to hear an MMA fighter talking about girl power and physicality! (Also, my daughter was dusting the other kid. Proof is in the pudding.) Yes, your kid could get injured (jammed finger, fall hard on mats and get abrasion, bump head, glove hits eye---my girls have had all of these happen) but safety, proper stance, all of this is focused on so that muscles are trained and core is very strong.Later in the hour, the class focuses on hitting and kicking and strength training, as well as coaching for danger. Example: hammer punch, straight kick combo with a sprawl. Usually there are many "stations" where the kids rotate and the parents get involved with this. Lots of drills to improve muscle memory. Lots of safety concepts introduced and body awareness (for example, executing break falls, knowing where to position hands at head/temple level before throwing punch, using the voice to call out warnings to would be "bullies" and attackers, and mirroring an attacker's moves and anticipating their next one.) One of the drills I was MOST impressed with needs a trigger warning: the dads and older brothers hold the strike pads and hunker over a kid (for example, my 6 y.o. daughter) who is on their back. Like a dog pile. When Chris calls time, the kid must kick and punch to escape with people grabbing and blocking. It would be scary if it wasn't in such a safe environment (I would probably have a panic attack.) But it is the idea of strangers holding you down and fighting through them to get away that is being demo'd. Where to strike (on the pads, which are held in front of chests, groins, and faces), how to aim a kick and push off, and how to find a way out. It's not always going to work, but it helps stave off panic if trained gently. Do I think someone will attack my kids? I hope not. But if someone does try, that person will get QUITE the surprise. A pretty good one, too.Things that make me happy: 1) watching my 12 y.o. 74 # daughter fight her way across a gym mat throwing punches that knock back large dads. 2) seeing my 6 y.o. daughter complete 10 perfectly executed military push ups like a frickin' marine. Makes me want to cry, as I'm the most non-athletic person I know.Yes, this is Krav Maga, essential basic moves for kids. Yes, the gym is smaller. Yes, the gym smells like weed (but that's legal now, fyi, and people use it medicinally.) Yes, the instructor is great with kids."

Tam C. "I've been training with Arrick for months how and I've made amazing progress towards my health and fitness goals. As a trainer he's committed to making sure you get the most out of your workouts. He's very attentive at correcting form, ensuring constant progress with new routines, and is patient and understanding. When I started there I was incredibly out of shape and could barely make it through the first day. Months later I have increased strength and stamina and although workouts are still challenging, my well-being has greatly improved. He can work with you one on one to help you meet your goals, and that includes identifying problem areas and how to modify your workouts to suit them. In my case we had to work around an injured muscle in my back and he had absolutely no issue accommodating this. For me, one on one workouts are a mix of HIIT and weights. He also has group fitness classes and he teaches boxing. He trains people of all ages. The gym is very clean and he's very good about sanitizing everything. It's a very positive environment and I'd encourage anyone to give this place a try!Update: Recently pre-cooked meals from Powered by Lex can be ordered online and picked up at this gym. There is a refrigerator inside where they are dropped off. The food is delicious, healthy, and each meal is portioned for one person. There is also a discount for members of the gym. I've tried more popular national meal services and they aren't nearly as flavorful or convenient as this local service. I'd highly recommend giving the meals a try if you decide to join the gym, especially if it's hard for you to manage healthy eating consistently."

I love the modesty of the costumes and routines, and the focus on these kids being awesome people, as well as amazing dancers. They have all levels of classes, and it's a family business, so you can feel good about supporting them. Highly recommend!"

Catherine C. "Kaia Fit Laguna is fantastic! After having struggled with health issues for many years, I was out of shape and tired all the time. I was hesitant to go at first - would I even be able to complete a single workout? Well, I should have gone a lot sooner! The Kaia coaches are wonderful, as are the Kaia girls! I was welcomed by everyone, and the coaches helped me modify exercises so I could do them successfully. At first, I did have a hard time completing the workouts and was very sore. But everyone kept telling me I was doing great, and encouraged me to continue. Fast forward 6 months, and I'm in the best shape I've been in since I was 20 (and, ahem, it's been a few years since then). I don't look like a mom with 2 young kids, that's for sure! I've dropped several dress sizes and can actually see my stomach muscles. I can keep up with my kids and I feel fantastic. I've met some great friends at the gym, and have even registered to run a half marathon with them. Honestly, if someone had told me a year ago that this is where I'd be today, I wouldn't have believed them. If you're on the fence about whether to sign up, don't be. Hands down, signing up for Kaia has been the best thing I've done for myself in years."

(flat tummy and 10 pounds lighter by my wedding day) I am totally addicted to the workouts now. I love the coaches and their attitudes towards exercise and nutrition. You get the whole kit and caboodle here. What got me to join was the recipe idea book and day by day meal planner. It helped give me the basics to eating correctly to lose weight and just feel better. Not only did I lose weight, but I've gained muscle and realize now that I am stronger than I thought. The coaches push you to give it everything you've got.I totally recommend starting your fitness journey here. You will absolutely stick with it once you start."

The equipment all works great and is clean. There's classes, child care, basketball court, tanning, juice bar, and a sauna. Everything you need. The owner is great, he checks in everyday and chats with all the members. He makes sure everyone is happy and that goes a long way! If you live in Galt or surrounding area, this should be your gym."

I am hoping at some point I reach a level of divine inspiration when I actually enjoy working out for the sake of working out. However, we are not there yet and it continues to remain a necessary evil. That said - I really love working out with Kristin!!She is so patient and kind - yet she never hesitates to push me. The things we have accomplished in the last five weeks are far beyond what I thought I would be able to do. In addition to the awesome workout, she helps get your nutrition into line. She takes my current eating habits and helps me find healthier alternatives! She is also very supportive of my semi ill fated attempts at cooking. We discuss recipes while lifting weights. I have never attended her boot camps (I see her for the personal training), but eventually I would love to join up!!"

They have bootcamp, strength training, cross-fit, spin, barre, pilates and yoga. Workout is always different and written by the instructor of the day. You will never be bored or ever repeat the same workout. If 45 min. classes are not your thing, there is a well-equipped open gym and personal training. All the instructors are amazing, top-notch, and certified (shh...we even have a Kings dancer as instructor!) Excellent community of members. It's my second home and where I have met the most incredible people with shared fitness goals."
