The young woman who took our order was friendly and made some suggestions for my daughter who's a picky eater. The food came out fast. We had ribs, tri-tip, hot links, baked beans, yams, mac, greens, corn bread, and brought some banana pudding and peach cobbler home for dessert. Everything was delicious. The spicy barbecue sauce was not overly hot but just right. The meats were tender, and all the sides were cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the portions for the price are on point. We're full and have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. It's a little smaller on the inside than I expected but comfortable and I look forward to warm weather and going back to enjoy the outdoor seating."

Albeit, the parking lot is a little run-down with a couple pot holes but still free parking. You walk in and order then seat yourself anywhere and they'll bring out your order to you. The customer service is always kind, though a bit slow so prepare to wait for your meal for a bit. Indoors is decorated very nicely with lots of plants and a large tinted window to bring lots of sunlight in. A lot of indoor seating with standard metal chairs that can get uncomfortable to sit on after a long time. The Mac n Cheese is so good, very flavorful and cheesy, perfect if paired with Pulled Pork. This time I also ordered 1/2 chicken, the meat is deliciously seasoned and tender inside. The meal comes with two Hawaiian Bread rolls and a tangy BBQ sauce. The potato salad is good, nothing too unique about it. Overall, a great spot for BBQ and you're supporting a small, local business!"

The portions are huge, the Beef Rib was amazing.I could t finish it, and brought it home for leftovers. After texting my wife a photo, she asked me to bring some home for the kids as well.Got the Brisket meal with extra brisket (+$10 with double Mac and cheese for the kids. Had to resist biting into the kids food! Looked so good.I would say this is the best BBQ between Sacramento and Stockton, although I've not tried Stockton bbq yet.Worth the drive, folks! All three of us thought it was really good.We all ordered the Bacon cheddar burger and first thing I'll mention is this thing is filling. It's a pretty big burger, very tasty and cooked to a juicy medium just as I ordered. I got mine with onion rings which were good as well (and of course I shoved some rings into my burger.)You order at the counter and they bring your order out to your table when it's ready. They also have a condiment bar for various bbq sauces, ketchup, etc. the inside was also large and open with a lot of seating.They have quite a few locations around NorCal so I wouldn't hesitate to eat at one of them when I'm traveling again."

"I came in 15 minutes before closing because I was starving from a very long day on the road. Mr. Rodney the owner and pit master greeted me very kindly and took my order. I had the tri-tip sandwich. And a banana pudding.I started talking with Mr. Rodney, I asked if he was originally from Texas. And he said he spent half his childhood in Texas and half in Washington state. I put two and two together and figured Mr. Rodney was a Military kid. I asked him, and sure nuff he said yeah both parents.His restaurant smells so heavenly from the bbq pits out back. It brought back memories of my travels to Texas, Memphis, NC and Nola.The banana pudding is just like my Great grandma made.His restaurant has some very nice murals of Black Soldiers. Talking to Mr. Rodney I felt an awesome connection. Next time I come to Sacramento I'm definitely coming back here. The tri-tip sandwich was smoked to perfection. And the banana pudding was fantastic!!!I highly recommend this place!!!So sorry no pictures of the sandwich I was too hungry!!"

We get the Familt Platter, which recently went up to $100, and we would love to see them bring an extra table for the beautiful wood platter of awesome smoked BBQed Robs, Brisket, and Chicken. Don't even get me started on how super delicious their smoked asparagus is! They also have Track 7 IPA on tap and served in a frosty bug or a bottle of wine for about $20. We absolutely love Wing Wednesdays, too. The Mango Habanero Xauce is so good when cooked to the perfect sticky smoked wings.Service is super!The new remodel is really great. "For most people, I'd say Back Forty should earn 5 stars. I'm neurodivergent, have a trait, HSP. I process scents and tastes (and sounds and lights) more deeply than most. And I greatly dislike any smoked food. I skipped tri tip because they smoke it. I opted for prime rib. Turns out, it's smoked, too. Or, it has a strong flavor of it. It bothers me a lot. So for that, I'm probably not going to return.However, the building is super fun to enter, inside I like it is nicely lit and decorated. Frances, she was great. The young man answering the phone doesn't have a clue about the menu. When I arrived, there were way too many staff and I'm wondering if any besides the lead really know the menu (weights and how cooked). Not same standards I was raised with and I'm not that old! My recommendation to the company is to place the weights of meat portions on the menu. And mark how it's prepared (smoked, smoke flavoring added, grilled) and cook temperatures available (rare, medium, medium rare, etc) because your employees don't have a clue.The price for my 8 oz prime rib, 2 sides, and bread was quite fair, $23 or so. Bummed that reviews say cornbread isn't good. Frances hinted it's not great, so I said surprise me (I didn't want white bread). The banana bread (no nuts) was delicious but my cornbread craving can never be satiated enough. lol! I loved the fried okra."

"One of our family's go-to places when we're craving bbq! Didn't even notice this place until last year because it always seemed like a ghost town until new management took over. So glad we discovered it after the takeover because the customer service is top-notch and the food is always delicious! All the tri tip entrees are awesome, along with all the sides, and especially the cornbread muffins!! The sauces are crazy good, too. I didn't care for horseradish until I had it here. Their soups are so comforting as well. The manager, John, is so kind and generous. He always takes such great care of us when we come in and makes sure everything hits the spot for us. The place is always clean and well maintained, even when it's busy. Highly recommend this place!"

I've also had the bbq mix before and it's good, but the real stars of this place are the chicken katsu and spam musubi. There's nothing too special about the spam musubi, it's just consistently good, so I'll focus mostly on the katsu.Their chicken katsu is legit the best chicken katsu I've ever had. I've tried chicken katsu at many different restaurants, even other L&Ls (the one in EG is not as good fyi) and nothing comes close to this location's chicken katsu and katsu sauce! It's always crispy, juicy, and flavorful and amazing when dipped in the katsu sauce. Their mac salad is also some of the best I've had as well. Pro tip: the default meal comes with 2 scoops of rice and 1 mac, but you can switch the scoops up for free and I always go 1 rice 2 mac.I honestly can't say much about their other stuff because I don't even bother trying it when the chicken katsu is so good! So if you're a katsu lover like me, this place/location is THE BEST!"

The place is clean with lots of table seating and they also have a salsa bar. Both times I ordered the enchiladas with shredded chicken. The tortillas were stuffed with shredded chicken and cheese, topped with the savory enchilada sauce, and even more cheese! The sauce covered the enchiladas and garnished with cheese, sour cream, Guac, tomato, lettuce, rice, and beans. So good! Hubby got his usual steak burrito. Service was fast and friendly. "I picked up an order to go a couple weeks ago. I ordered a regular size chicken katsu plate and a soda - it came out to $24 approx. Admittedly I was disappointed the portion was so small. It looked like a child's size portion that was being charged for the full size. The food was good and I enjoyed it. The service was nice but I didn't interact with them too much since I had already paid and was just there to pick up. The store was clean and there is a self service station for your sauces and soda. I will try to go back again before doing a more in depth review to see if I get a small portion for the price again or if it was a fluke."

First off the location is great, the Land Park shopping center is packed full of pretty much anything you need making it fairly easy to knockout multiple task while staying in the same parking lot. This Buckhorn location has a modern look with lots of natural lighting, space and was well maintained. Service wise, you order at the counter and take a number to your seat where you food is brought out. If you want to pair your meal with a libation, check out the bar complete with TV's so you wont miss the game! Our servers were very nice and helpful. We were in a group of 10 and our food came out relatively fast. The menu has tons of options and can be intimidating to the indecisive! Everything looks good. During my visit, I got the Totcho's! A remix on nacho's switched with Tater Tots, topped with Char-Roasted Tri Tip, Beer Cheese, Hibiscus Pickled Onions, Cilantro Avocado Crema, and topped with green onions. This was such a solid meal! flavor packed and a fulfilling portion. Give Buckhorn BBQ in Land Park a try! location + food make this a prime spot for a trip out!"

"Of all the Korean places I've been to in Rancho Cordova, Doma is my new favorite! I came here after it was highly recommended by a work acquaintance -- apparently her Korean boyfriend had been highly tempted to gatekeep the spot bc of how authentic and delicious it is. A few highlights / why it is my new go-to Korean spot: * Quality banchan ofc * Combo meals - I always love a good soondubu esp during the wintertime but often face the dilemma of a dry vs wet entree. At Doma, there's no need to choose as their combo consists of an entree with a mini soondubu on the side so you get the best of both worlds! * A+ service~ the second time I dined here, I was in a hurry because we were trying to squeeze in dinner prior to catching a flight so I called in advance to put in our order and the workers graciously expedited our meal -- there was a reserved table waiting for us when we arrived and the food (banchan, bossam and soondubu) all came out promptly so that we were somehow in and out with our bellies happily full in less than 20 minutes!! The cherry on top is that they gave us the complimentary post-meal plum tea in a to-go cup (: Doma has definitely earned the #1 spot on my roster among the many Korean places in the area and as tempted as I am to gatekeep it as well, this place deserves absolutely all the hype coming its way!"

My sister and I frequently visit just for the food court. There's just so much they offer! The tteokbokki is always so yummy, their pho is delicious. Their bento boxes are always super tasty as well. My sister always chooses their sushi or poke bowls, and always leaves satisfied. My most recent visit I tried the combination fried rice and it was SO YUMMY! and so much food. You really get a bang for your buck. There's always plenty of seating, and the staff answers any questions with the best of their abilities. and i can never get over just how many options you have !!! Their potato twists are too yummy, I have tried their garlic parmesan potato twist and enjoyed it (see picture). KP international food court will never do me wrong . I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could, but only because the restaurant could use a little updating like painting the worn down wood to hide the discoloration to make it a nicer spot for dates, etc. but it was still such a cute and quaint spot to find!I went within the first 2 hours of opening so that may be the difference in my experience from others, but I didn't see any of the cleanliness concerns others had and the buffet bar was well stocked all the way around with clean utensils and a wide variety of quality ingredients. They also have alternative soda options which is GREAT! They have glass bottle coke with actual sugar instead of corn syrup which was a treat and they give you white rice & egg drop soup along with your lunch bowl.if you have allergies make sure you ask them to clean the grill/range before cooking yours or try to be the first customers upon them opening.I'm allergic to wheat so I called ahead to confirm they have white rice rather than noodles and Nellie answered my question very politely. After arriving Nellie continued to provide wonderful service and cleaned up the tables around us promptly after each party left. The guy refilling the veggies needs to learn how to package to-go orders so that it's not one person cashiering, taking to-go/door dash orders, packaging up all the things, trying to serve water, etc. Our food was done but we couldn't sit down and eat it because we couldn't pay. Then when we did sit, we couldn't eat it because there's no utensils. Finally got chopsticks from the chef but still had no drinks, napkins. Then another employee showed up and served water and egg rolls - the little sides that go with the Mongolian bbq. I will return though. The food was good and I think with time, they'll get organized and staff will have it down. I especially like that it stays open late. A Hawaiian BBQ that offers fried chicken? You know it! We tasted the best fried chicken... juicy and most flavorful golden crispy chicken. "I can't wait to come back! I went here because a friend was craving poke. I have a weird thing with texture so if I'm eating poke, it needs to be with nachos (something crispy). I was going to originally order a teriyaki or short rib plate but then I saw they had wontons that they could use for the poke bowls. I was SO HAPPY! I got the wontons with two scoops of poke (which was plenty tbh, I ended up giving some to my friend when it became too much) and I added all the toppings I wanted. It was DELICIOUS! I want to get it again and I want to try their meat plates as well. The service was nice, everyone was friendly and the place was clean. The seating was relaxed. We also got some macaroon ice cream sammiches at the end to end our post workout meal on a sweet note!"

"Service: amazing Food: hit the spot. I was nervous ordering chicken because it's usually dry, but not this one! It was very moist and juicy. Ribs are amazing, dipped the pulled pork in the sauce and it's fabulous! Ordered many sides: beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread fries, potatoes salad, Caesar salad, mac and cheese and it was all delicious. Location is great, downtown can be hard to find parking, but I was able to get a parking right in front of the building for an easy pick up. Placed my large order online and it was grab and go. There also a parking garage next to the building if you wanted to park in the garage but there were plenty of street parking."
