Jeremy D. "My kids have been attending Soccer World's indoor workshops for several years now. I enjoy watching them on the bleachers while the TVs overhead are broadcasting sports. Each year the trainers curriculum seems to get better and better along with their organization. During the winter months, there's not much choices for soccer since the grass are mushy from the rain and it's too cold. The cost was reasonable but there's room for improvement:(1) Update the facility, it's a big warehouse with an oval soccer ring in the middle. As Soccer crazy as Elk Grove is, the place just feels cheap. I would have expected more... Add A/C for the summer months and heating for the winter months. Update the see thru plastic so I can clearly see the players. Update the speaker system so that music doesn't sound like AM radio.(2) Communicate training sessions ahead of time vs. one month prior.(3) Have a process for signing up kids and place them into teams for the indoor leagues. Currently you have to sign up as a whole team.(4) Sell quality food or just have vending machines to reduce disappointment for the hungry."

Jenna B. "Maybe I am a little biased too as per previous reviewer. I went to my first real live Derby Bout last month and I thought it was phenomenal. Sacred City totally detroyed their opponent, more than doubling them in points. I left feeling very inspired, especially after talking to one of the Fresh Meat players boyfriend, who encouraged me to attend tryouts after expressing my interested in Roller Derby.Aside from going skating last month for fun, I hadn't really been on quad skates since 3rd grade... but I summoned the courage to go to tryouts.Everyone in the league is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, outgoing, and very very friendly. It's easy to see amongst the coaches and players alike that they are truly committed to the sport, their fans, and their League is their family! I would be very proud to skate for the SCDG, and they are insanely fun to watch. They make skating and derby look easy! Not to mention, when I attended the bout I was not aware that there was a home team and an away team. Even though the majority of the audience had on Sacred City shirts or bandanas, I didn't know they were the home team. They have a cult-like following. Usually in my mind I am always rooting for the underdog, which in this case would have been the Jet City Rollers, but I just liked the spirit of Sacred so much that I was rooting for them. SO GLAD I tried out!"

No problem. ...following year, the Team was down 3-4 players (that did not return) & they added my Son to the Team after the tryouts! He was very excited!! The Coach USED him (us) to fill in the empty spots, in efforts to simply collect the $1800 for "actual" players & never planned on actually playing him!! We attended ALL the games and my Son was used as a freaking CHEERLEADER!! The very first game in San Jose was cancelled, because the Team didn't have enough players. When he approached the Coach (Kristen i believe) she blew him off and said they would discuss it later.... To which she never did!!These are 18yr old Children & this damaged his spirit & love for the sport! Nonetheless, i purchased flights to get out to Florida to make sure he was there to support his Team.... In Florida he went in one game (late in the day) on day 1, served & was pulled right back out!! Mind you, they have gameplay ALL day!! After a couple days of BS from the Coach, my Son didn't want to "cheerlead" for the Club anymore. I msgd the Coach & she CARELESSLY responded: "sorry you feel that way!"Omni hasnt won a Tournament in YEARS... they are a losing squad, didn't win a game during the time my Son was signed up (2024).... & for the Coach to play "favorites" and have my Child pay $1800 to freaking CHEERLEAD... im considering legal action & see what they have to say as litigants! My Son messaged some of his Teammates to let them know he was not coming to another game & a few of them responded and said, they understand why he would no longer want to be apart of the Team! So the other players even saw what was going on & didn't think it was cool! DO NOT waste your time nor money on the "Club" as the way they "professionally" conduct business is TRASH (to say the least). For the record, my Son played Volleyball all through Highschool so, it wasnt like he was a newbie or just some Kid off the street that wanted to "try" Volleyball. Omni is a MAJOR disappointment & a huge let down for a young child coming into adulthood & wanting to be apart of an actual Team! Keep looking for better Clubs, Parents & dont throw away $1800 plus flights, rooms & other travel arrangements!"

Each month there is a philanthropy cause for the athletes to participate in, there are team and gym events, spirit weeks and more. We looked for a team that fit me him as much as him fitting the team. We looked into SSC and we were impressed, but of course you really need to go experience something before you can truly say what you think. My son as been with SSC for almost two years playing travel ball and taking lessons here and there. The price is very reasonable with the coaching you receive, the staff is professional, the facility is clean and just the right size. I would look into SSC if you are thinking about your son playing travel ball, or taking private lessons. Ask a lot of questions as the coaches will spend the time to make sure you feel comfortable."

Ronnie S. "My experience with Orangevale PONY Baseball as a league was good, but the highlight was the plethora of exemplary coaches in the Pinto division. This was my son's first year playing and his is ADHD and his coaches handled him amazingly well. Not only did they manage to teach him the fundamentals of the game despite his short attention span, but they also successfully modeled what it takes and means to be a team. There were a handful of special-needs kids throughout the Pinto division and every coach handled them extremely well. The coaches did not just babysit the kids or shove them into a corner; they actively played in the games - most importantly they learned the game and had fun. There were at least 2 autistic kids, one of which started the season scared of everything and progressed to actually taking his at-bats. Every child, regardless of their abilities or handicap, played every position that was safe for them to play.I'm not saying that Orangevale PONY Baseball is a little league that specializes in special-needs children but it is obviously full of coaches with stellar character."

It's a great neighborhood that fully supports its local Little League! The board works hard to ensure the safety, fun, and fairness for the kids who choose to play for CGLL!The snack bar is above average. Especially when they sell Chic-fil-A! They don't take credit, so that's a bummer, just cash. It's always good to remember that everything you buy is a fundraiser to keep the fields alive for the kids.Plenty of shade to watch games. Also, plenty of bleacher space and open grassy area to plop down your own chair. There is are tennis courts near by and also a play area for kids. I will say this and it's no fault to CGLL. Lock your car, thieves have been know to circulate near the parking lot...preying on the families who are there supporting their children. Heartless. The families are support each other and will chase away those who look suspicious and also tell you on the loud speaker if this does happen. If your kidlet needs something fun to do, bring them or sign them up for CGLL!"

With the hot weather and a capacity of 90 we didn't want to take any chances of not getting in after a 30 minute drive from across town. I haven't been to this area In years and it looks about the same. Kind of run down as you enter the neighborhood and I probably wouldn't walk these streets alone at night but luckily I'd have no business being here except during a hot summer day at this little water park. We were the second group admitted and it costs $1 for whom ever wants to play. They have 2 slides and riders must meet height requirements. Our 3.5 year old was 42 inches so he got an orange wristband and could only ride the orange slide. The yellow slide had a height requirement of 45 or 46 I believe. Despite the height requirements, our son only went down the orange slide 2-3 times. The park was very crowded with people trying to stay cool. Our son cried when he got water in his face .. guess he won't enjoy water parks much till he realizes water in the face is part of the experience lol!! At one point he said "there's too many people here" and I couldn't have agreed more. There's a small grass area and a couple picnic tables with shade but other than That, not much seating or shade Not sure if we'd return but it was a well kept water park with decent bathrooms"

There was plenty of room and the tables and chairs were in good shape. The back has a closet that is great for a bar or coat check. The kitchen is spacious and great for preparing food for large events. The only issue with this place is there are oy three stalls in the women's restroom. The loss of stars is not actually the center's fault. :[ It's actually because of the budget cuts, so it's with great sadness that I write this because my heart shattered when most of the horses had to be given away. I took lessons through the work exchange program there and have taken group and semi-private lessons with the center. The instructors are knowledgeable and all-around awesome, and I'm sure they still are now, but most of the different lessons they used to offer are no longer around. :[Sea Bass was one of my favorite horses, but I'm glad he found a good home. (Rahbana was my other favorite, and I had ambitions to get to jumping so I could one day ride Camus, but my schedule got in the way.) We have finally found a home at Hard 90 baseball for the past 3 1/2 years. Why? Because Hard 90 made my son a BETTER player. We have seen coach Rick Sudsy for hitting and coach Friend for pitching for a few years now. I have seen him progress as a player over his peers over the years thanks to the facilities and excellent coaching available to him. There are pros/cons with any baseball academy. The only downside of Hard 90 is their location is a little out of the way and it does get busy at certain times. On one side (Reception Hall), a funeral.......in the Senior Wing, a child's birthday party, and our event in Meeting Room 1.
