I needed a Bitcoin ATM machine which I never knew existed until I found one at C&B Liquors. The gentleman who works the morning shift was so very helpful and very cordial. He assisted me in my use of the 21st century ATM! Actually, this is the location of the first Bitcoin ATM machine used in Sacramento. Real Sacramento history here at a classic liquor store that has stuff you need for surviving the streets. I love this place.

I went to C&B on my way to work to grab some smokes and something for breakfast. A lot of the stock is expired, I saw a dead roach in one of the aisles, and the cashier openly flirted with me, and invited me to a local motel later that evening. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back. Very disturbing.

Great liquor store with a great variety, friendly staff and very inexpensive. I also love their wine selection. If you are into Bitcoin, they have a Bitcoin ATM with the lowest rate in town!

This is the neighborhood liquor store that's within walking distance for me to pick up last minute beer or soda. The staff are always really friendly, but the store's stock is not exactly a drawing point for a visit. I recently picked up a common bottle of inexpensive wine, and I discovered it was from 2007, and not in a good way, so be careful. BUT, there is potential. Amidst the sea of Budweiser, Coors, and Miller, you can find a decent selection of Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada. It's obvious that there's little rhyme or reason to their craft beer choices, but almost always you can find unexpected goodies like Rubicon's Monkey Knife Fight and Anchor Brewing's IPA. If the owners buckled down and strategically stocked more unique regional brews (like Curtis Park Market has skillfully mastered, amiright?), they could up their game immensely. Every time I arrive with a reusable bag, the softspoken gentleman behind the counter always tells me a similar story about how those types of bags are used everywhere in India. It always makes me smile no matter how many times I've heard it.

After going to Tower Market for a couple years, a friend told me I should take the time to go a little bit further down Broadway to C&B because they have better prices. I thought, hmm, they can't be too much cheaper, but I'll give it a shot. Not only are their prices lower than Tower pretty much across the board, but the staff is always so pleasant and friendly! Which is no small feat, considering that their unenviable location so close to light rail brings in all sorts of colorful folks. That being said I've never felt uncomfortable there cuz they are on it and they take care of any riff-raff quickly and quietly. C&B is my go-to for everything from craft beer to cheap booze and scratchers. And yes, I'm not too proud to admit I enjoy wasting my hard earned cash on the lofty dream of untold riches that scratchers promise! Occasionally. Ok, a little bit more than occasionally. So go hit up C&B next time you need a six pack or pack of smokes. You'll be a regular in no time.

I forgot to pickup a six-pack of stone IPA at the natural food coop while I was there. This place is on the way home and I've been in the store once or twice. I figured it would be overpriced, but after about five minutes of trying to scan the six-pack, the price came up at $8.99! Two bucks cheaper than Taylor's (no surprise) and one dollar cheaper than the place at 21st and K - and the coop. I've now got my permanent source for my favorite beer. Doesn't get much better than that. And Mr. Singh was pretty cool, too.
