I had my proposal here. It was more than anything I could ever imagine. The family, the venue, and the moment is something that I will hold dearly in my memories. I will have to come back for family portraits.

I've taken photographs at this place with clients before (engagement photo sessions), and it's a beautiful location. There are so many spots within the area to take photos and it's terrific. The best time to take photos is during summer where the lavenders are blooming, but in my opinion it's a great location to take photos at all year round (keep in mind that you do have to check when they are open and need to book a time slot. Through my experience, I never had a problem booking with them). I always recommend this place when my clients are looking for a location to get their pictures taken.

Flower power...That last name sounds so familiar... the website is www.bunzlavender.com... naw, no way... it had the same last name as the once favorite sports pub in downtown Roseville, Bunz Sports Pub & Grub. It has since closed. But are they the same owners? Turns out, YES! The lavender farm property is owned by former 49ers star and two-time NFL Super Bowl champ, Dan Bunz and his family. Lavender 2020 picking season is now open while the lavender flowers are in bloom, open weekends throughout the month of June. We visited last weekend. There is a $5 entry fee per car and guests are welcome to pick from their lavender farm for $10/bundle. They also sold handcrafted, homemade lavender inspired products as well as many other fun lavender themed items... after walking around the property and enjoying the lavender farm we forgot to come back around to try their lavender gelato sold for $5/cup ¯\_('~')_/¯ The lake is beautiful. Plenty of photo ops here. There are goats, Canadian geese that we saw in the 13.5-acre property. The owners were friendly and engaging with their guests. Nice folks. The property is located on the Placer County Wine Trail in Lincoln (on the border of Auburn & Newcastle). Review #1804

It is definitely a gorgeous property and plenty of spots to take some breath taking photos. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I had to reach out twice to make an appointment. Also, when we got there we felt pretty unwelcomed. We understand that it is a family residence that is being opened up to the public for their photos, but we all (my family as well as our photographer) felt like an inconvenience.

Al I can say is, wow what an amazing little spot that I stumbled upon. I've been on the lookout for places my family could go visit. I am surprised that no one in my circle of friends talks about this place. Now I know why! I want to keep this treasure all to myself! I'm serious . This place is clean and breathtaking. We came here on a rainy Sunday, right before they closed. As soon as I stepped out of my car I could smell the eucalyptus trees and a hint of the lavender plants they grow. Our first order of business was to visit the small shop and purchase their lavender linen mist. I am in urgent need of a good nights sleep and I can tell it will help me. Of course they have a variety of other items like handmade soap and handmade items. I am so happy to support small farms any way I can. As their is no entrance fee, I believe it's the least I can do for being on their property.I am definitely coming back to take family pictures on this calm and serene property. This place is open only Saturday and Sunday but for other times you have to make an appointment and pay a small fee. This is private property so I made sure to hold on to my toddler and take care of being a good "quiet" visitor. I let go of his hand once and he managed to step on duck poop. Just want to add, my husband wasn't really into driving out this far (for us it was a 55 min drive) especially with two small babies. But then he met the owner Dan Bunz (former linebacker for the 49ers) and was so excited. This is a must see for everyone! It's a wonderful lavender farm and great owners!
