I recently was able to visit Burning Barrel for the first time. It is a short drive from work and was super easy to find. I get off at 2:30pm. By the time I arrived Friday at 2:45pm the place was already jumping!! There was a nice flow of beer being poured with many a smiley faces enjoying them. I went with the Skull Slugger DIPA @ 8.6%. The nose was amazing. I recognized my favorite hops. The mouth feel was amazing and the flavor?? Out of this world delicious. I am already looking forward to visiting again to try so many of their other offerings. Their Sour game looks legit!! If you ever get a chance to visit I suggest doing so. They are so worth the visit.

Well I went there one day had a great experience with my cat Ryder_brewery_catI decided to go to there Tiki Party on February 15,2025 drove an hour to get there and was told no cats allowed only dogs. Ryder's been to 90 breweries no problem. When I asked how the woman who refused us in how do I get a beer then and explained Ryder has been technically twice. I showed up had beer then walked to Log Off and came back got food from the food truck bought another beer plus beer to go and a shirt! Her answer to how do I get a beer then I don't care!! Now I'm thoroughly aggravated. I walked outside told many of the customers what happened they couldn't understand either. After looking on my phone for several minutes for other places to go another staff member did come out and to see if she could help me. I thanked her for trying to help but felt mistreated and decided to go elsewhere. I ended up at Movement Brewing,Shred Brewing, Moksa and Jack Rabbit who all where happy to see RyderIt sucks because I thought this was somewhere to return to but apparently not

2/1/25 We really love this beer and this review has nothing to do with that.As I was about to close out the employee asked for my name I gave it and she rung me out for 6 dollars with change. I didn't think anything of it at first. Maybe they made separate transactions?I don't know. But I walked out checked my bank transactions and saw nothing, I came back in and thought something isn't right. So I told her I had 4 beers total.... she looked confused and said "I gave you ___ beer" I said no we had these beers (I named them) she then said is it your card? I took my wallet back out and realized she gave me the wrong card.... long story short, she then charged me for the 4 I had and she said a statement along the lines of "you didn't leave a tip so it should be ok" She was so unapologetic that she gave me a whole different persons card instead she focused on the fact that she was in the clear because I didn't leave a tip on the card.. I really did not like that I was looking like a suspect in this situation and made me feel really uncomfortable. Both of our names started with an L but not close to looking the same. I'm not trying to be a Karen but this was not a good look for them.. thankfully it was me who ended up with this card and not someone sketchy who would have taken advantage of the card I was mistakenly GIVEN.

This was our first time visiting. It was packed on a Sunday! Great energy. I'm not much of a beer drinker, however, the beer I tried was delicious! It was recommended by a staff member. My friends got a flight to share. I tried a few and I may be a beer drinker now! Definitely will come back. Plenty of seats/tables. Loved that there was a taco truck just outside.

Burning Barrel is a one of my favorites in town. I can always count on them to have something that I'll like, no matter what time of year it is. This isn't a brewery that only cates to a single arc of tastes of brews. Those that enjoy stouts, porters, and things malty won't be left out in the cold and forgotten.I value that, a lot. The vibe here is friendly, amiable, and bustling. I enjoy sitting anywhere here...all of it is good when there're many delicious examples of the brewer's art to be sampled. Their tap-masters are always amiable, too. The beers here always seem to get a little "extra" attention to some detail that elevated them to being among the best that the Sacramento region has to offer.(They are extremely dog-friendly, too!)

Super friendly vibe and great beers. What more can you ask? A couple of food trucks outside and a nice patio space out front. Definitely coming back.

Came here with my boyfriend and his coworkers for bingo night! They have an impressive selection of beers, ciders and seltzers all made in house! I had the desert nectar and my boyfriend got the delicious visions. I like that they have a food truck outside so you can order and bring inside. Overall I can't wait to visit again with more friends so I can try more of their amazing selections!

Burning Barrel is by far the best brewery I've been to in the Sacramento area. It is a hole in the wall in a way that not many people venture out to Rancho Cordova to grab beer. They have a variety of selections from fruity sours to IPA's. The menu switches up occasionally so you can try new flavors. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Burning Barrel is 100000% worth the drive if you're in the Sacramento area.

I don't drink much these days, but when I do, it's hopefully a tasty sour. Burning Barrel provides! My friend gave me a can of their Fresh Out the Oven Apple Crumble Pie Sour and I was in heaven. I've been meaning to check out Burning Barrel, so that tipped me over the edge.I popped in on my way home from El Dorado Hills to see what else they had to offer. They didn't have any more of the the Apple Crumble Pie Sour, but they had V15 of Fresh Out the Oven in a peach and guava sour. So dang good that it might be dethroning Porchlight as my favorite provider of sours.I wish it were easier to bike there, but let's be honest, I don't like leaving the house, really, so to go cans are really more my style.
