Buckhorn BBQ + Grill - Rocklin

I've reviewed here before, but I thought I'd give a quick update... I took my mom out for a quick light dinner and we decided to come here. It's rapidly becoming one of my "go to" spots. It's conveniently located for me, has plenty of options of food I like.The more I come here, the more I notice little things that tell me the place is well managed. It's well staffed... the staff are friendly, helpful and respectful. They seem happy... which, honestly, stands out against some other restaurants these days. They all seem to be pulling their weight and looking out for things they can do to improve the overall situation... the customer experience... keeping the place clean, etc. Something as simple as picking up a napkin off the floor - I can think of numerous other places I've been where I've watched staff walk past something on the floor numerous times. I also happened to see goals listed on a whiteboard in a back room when someone came through a door - again, a nod to management, who obviously discusses these things with the whole staff and it shows... they all work as a team. Kudos.

Girl at register was nice-that is why I am giving 2 stars. Tuesday night-not busy. Several tables had food on them and needed to be serviced. Food was delivered-sandwich was cold. Fries were cold. Salad was fine. Ketchup dispenser was empty. Fires were $6 and there was truly barely a serving. Nobody asked if we needed anything or how the food was.Will not return and would not recommend.

Food was very good. Little pricy, but the food was worth it. Quick service. Ambiance was nice! This is a go to for grilling. 5 stars two meat combo. Chicken had a lot of flavor and was very juicy. Tri tip was on the very rare side. Still tasted very good. Mac tasted good and was very cheesy. Roasted veggies was a perfect compliment to the meats.

The food was planned for me but my wife said the planned burger (no picture due to just being a burger and buns ) was good. The service was okay for my first time there. I will probably not be going back due to getting super sick after eating here.

Was in the area for sports and needed a good, hearty dinner for the fam. Had been to this restaurant in another town so first time here in Rocklin. The food was great. Generous serving sizes and great flavor. Love the bbq sauce bar to help ourselves for fry dipping . Great value and great food !!

Great service and good food. A little sports restaurant feel with all the televisions. Beer & wine, great tea options.

As a vegetarian, Buckhorn is not high on my list of dining options. But, my boyfriend is a big fan and loves their salmon platter so once in a while, I'll agree to dine at one of their locations. They do have salads and make a surprisingly good black bean veggie burger. This location in Rocklin is in a large plaza with ample parking and some shops to wander to before or after eating. We'd stopped here on the way home from a hike and arrived around 4. It was pretty empty between lunch and dinner but by 4:45, the place was filling up.Staff was super friendly, tables were clean and food was out pretty quick. Enjoyed my veggie burger and side of roasted veggies, refueling for the rest of the drive home.

Went here on a Sunday night. The line was fairly long but moves quickly. The gal taking the orders was very friendly and efficient. Food: Excellent - my salad was fresh and they don't skimp on the toppings. I didn't order meat but my family enjoyed their trip-tip, pulled pork and chicken. The onion rings were very crispy and I would definitely order those again. Drinks: They have beer and wine, but the only hard alcohol they have are pre-mixed drinks. My husband enjoyed his IPA!Ambiance - average, not a fancy place, but a good clean well kept family place. We ate outside and it was quieter than inside. Four stars instead of five because they were short staffed (not the staff's fault but the management) and they only had plastic forks which are not ideal for eating the type of meats they serve.

The best buckhorn bbq that I have ever been to. Space is clean and comfortable, people are nice, and food is great! They nail the sauces.We ordered the crispy chicken salad, which is maybe one of my favorite salads of all time. The ratio of chicken to salad is just right, and the dressing is my favorite salad dressing. It's a little creamy and lemony. I liked the avocados and tomatoes too.Our other order was the two item bbq: ribs and tri tip, with mac and cheese, corn bread, and onion rings on the side. The bbq sauce was so good with the meats. However, we had to finish eating it the next day because they are so generous with the portions.

Food was not good. Chicken was rubbery and food had zero flavor. If I could give it zero stars I would.
