This little hole in the wall serves for two purposes: filling up your water gallons and their bomb papaya salad! The papaya salad is the reason for the multiple stars! You can even alter the amount of chili peppers you want depending on your spice preference. Customer service is indifferent and this little Asian market only has a few items available. Luckily, the papaya salad is the shit!

Nice people. This is my favorite spot for papaya salad in north Sacramento. You can call to order in advance.

I use a water cooler at home, to help cut down on me craving things that would be more sugary to drink. I used to get water at the big blue water dispensers sometimes seen outside grocery stores (the kinds that you would put quarters in), but I noticed the taste wasn't always the same and the 'serviced on xx/xx/xxxx' dates would sometimes be months in the past. The price going up on those outside water dispenser machines didn't help, either.I decided to stop in BT Pure Water & Mini Market to try out some of their water. There is a water station with several faucets for refilling water bottles AND (some people don't notice this) even a cleaning station to clean the inside of your water bottle prior to refilling. The cost to refill an entire giant 5 gallon water bottle? ONLY $1.25 (AFTER TAX) ! That is WAY more water than I would get from those rinky-dink stand alone water refill machines outside of grocery stores. The water at BT Pure Water tastes superb and for those reasons alone, I would have given this place 5 stars.BUT WAIT... there's more! This place is also a mini asian grocery store, so I can stop by to get cans of coconut milk, and even prepacked Bok Choi veggies if I feel like making a soup or stir fry. This saves me a trip to South Sac for those things. Another reason this place gets 5 stars. Plus, the employees are always chill and friendly!

Anyone know who used to make the beef jerky that they sell here??? That was the best jerky. I heard from the owner the maker passed away but i wanted to see if maybe someone continued to make them. Their new supplier isn't as great. I've also tried their other food from here and they're not bad, the noodles were good. The fresh veggies saves us time from needing to go to South sac or getting in long lines at the stores so its very convenient.

New Jerky is NOT the same... my husband will eat it regardless, but I can not. I'm sure there will be others who will be disappointed. This is not a reflection on the store, just an FYI for my "beef jerky house" friends who are accustomed to one of the best tasting jerkies that Sac had to offer.(Also, my lysol wipe said the bag was quite filthy with yellow goop)

Don't let the name throw you off. My Hmong friend told me about BT Pure Water after I asked her where she got her bomb papaya salad from. This is coming from someone who has consumed papaya salad since she was a toddler. I know what good papaya salad tastes like! Let's be real, you can't get amazing southeast Asian foods in Natomas or around the area. Everyone knows you have to drive all the way to South Sac. South Sac is the Mecca of all South East Asian cuisine and things. After asking my friend for the name of the place again, I was like what?!? This place is owned by Hmong folks?? Not trying to sound super racist, but the name doesn't sound like an Asian market or anything. Just saying. Like I said, don't be fooled by the name. BT Pure Water is located in the hood in a scary shopping center. Sometimes you see shady characters walking around outside. Luckily, I've always been able to park directly in front of the Mini market, run in, do some shopping, and run back out. The area reminds me a little of Oak Park in the early 90's.Upon entering the mini market, on the right side, there are water stations to fill up your empty water containers hence the name of the place! The light bulb came on! To your left, there are Asian produce, the freezer section and then like 2 aisles of canned and dry foods down the middle of the market.I grabbed a couple bags of fresh Thai chili peppers, some Lao sausages, and some Hmong sausages. I've never seen these sausages at Asian stores in South Sac so these are unique items that can be found at this market. Then I was looking around like a lost person while trying to find the papaya salad. I was the only customer in there during the time and feared that I would look suspicious so I just went up to the register and asked where they had the delicious papaya salad. The young guy maintaining the register was super nice and spoke good English. He rang me up and said that he could take my order for the papaya salad. He asked how many peppers I wanted and etc. He took my order and then went towards the back of the store where apparently the papaya making factory was at. At first, I was thinking, man, $7 for papaya salad is kind of expensive! Then after 10 minutes or so, I was handed a fairly good size portion of fresh papaya salad which definitely made that $7 worth it! They make really good papaya salad here, did I mention that?Overall, I was so happy that I could find some staples here near where I live instead of having to drive all the way to South Sac. Don't let the exterior and the shady area scare you from coming into BT Pure Water. The folks here are friendly and it's always nice to support a family business.

My favorite place to come for fresh vegetables. Very affordable prices. I also come here to get lanka in the can and sardines. This is a great place to grab some Asian grocery items if you don't want to drive to the south. They also have food for sale like papaya salad and I think some kind of spring rolls. I've never bought already prepared foods from here but love the variety of items that are Available here. The staff here are helpful and friendly.

I dropped by here one night after going to Taste of the Orient next door (see my review on them). Nice small market but what I went in and bought were the Hmong sausages (HOT). Love those thangs! I have to try their papaya salad. I had a good chat with the man who I assume is the owner. He was very nice and cordial. I defintely will return for the sausages and try some other stuff when I get a chance!

Always great service and love their papaya salads. Lots of options for Asian food and spices if you need it. It's nice to have them in the natomas area for sure so I don't have to go to south sac for asian food ingredients.
