Brookfields Restaurant

One thing about me, I love a good diner. The ratings speak for themselves. I stumbled upon Brookfield's during my visit to Roseville, and I knew I had found something special. The atmosphere of the diner was warm and inviting, making it easy to feel right at home.The menu boasted an array of delectable dishes that were a joy to explore. What really struck me was the genuine care in the service, adding an extra layer of comfort to my visit.Brookfield's isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to feel welcomed and well-fed.

For dinner last night, we ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with eggs and breakfast potatoes (to-go). We ordered through the Yelp app, which took us to the Brookfield's website and were able to customize how we wanted our eggs (poached and over easy) and what toast we wanted (English muffin and white). We were disappointed it didn't allow us to customize and put the gravy on the side or add on extra (we were willing to pay). It was ready on 20 minutes and when we picked it up, the restaurant was not busy. I got to the front and requested the extra sides of gravy and when the young woman came back with a 3rd container, it was because the kitchen didn't put the poached eggs. So, if I hadn't asked for gravy, there would've not been eggs with one of the meals. Thankfully, that didn't happen. When we got home, just as we suspected, the CFS's were soggy. If we could have used the section to write in a customization, that is what we would've requested, but for some reason, the Brookfield's website has this feature turned off. One of our CFS's had a lot of gristle, the meat had no flavor. I think the breading would've tasted great if it was not soggy. Their country gravy has meat in it and that tasted pretty good! The poached eggs were overcooked, the over eat eggs still had slimy whites. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good and the toasted bread both came with their housemade strawberry jam (no seeds) which was soooo delicious! Next time, we will sit inside and give the CFS another try... so far, I know I am a huge fan of their fish & chips. Not sure about the CFS just yet

This trip we are here for dinner. The beef steak with potato is very good. The vegetable egg dish was okay once it was replaced. The staff took responsibility and took care of us. Mistakes happen. The reviews should reflect 4.5 in my opinion.

This place has been a favorite for decades! Brunch after church is always crowded, breakfast is served early and well, a daily special includes a favorite every day of the week. Meeting friends is easy with a large parking area and big tables available. A homey cafe ambiance and the most cordial wait staff imaginable. Perhaps the best thing I can say however, is that the consistency over decades is because of the family ownership! Good American food, well prepared and served is what Brookfield's offers.

Shannon is the best server. She was personable, attentive, and very patient when my toddler spilled her hot chocolate all over the booth. Our food came out quickly even the last minute order we put in was ready very shortly after. All the food was delicious and very good portion for the price. Shannon made sure our waters were always filled and the sodas were filled as well. It's not very often you get good service like we did tonight before they closed. I hope next time we go we can sit in her section again. Great Job shannon!

Very good food overall. The burgers were cooked perfectly and juicy. The sweet potato fries were also nice. The salmon plate was okay, but I felt the salmon was a little dry. It was still better than salmon I usually try to make at home though. The waiter was helpful, but service was a little slower than expected. The restaurant was clean.The restaurant air conditioner certainly works well, perhaps a little too well. We were in a spot that had it directly blow on us, so we were cold (despite it being 103 degrees outside).We had a good experience though and I would recommend this place to others.

Just have to say, this is the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The mashed potatoes are perfect. And... the country gravy is out of this world! I have been eating the turkey dinner here, once a week, for months. My favorite comfort food. But, now I'm alternating with the chicken fried steak! Maybe I'll have to try something else one day? My entire family enjoys the varied menu here! Everything from breakfast, to sandwiches, to amazing dinner entrées. We have never had a bad meal here! And, the portions are very generous! Thanks, Brookfield's!!!

I came in this morning for the freshly made corned beef hash, and eggs. Got a biscuit on the side and coffee. The food was good, the service was outstanding. After I left, I called and spoke to the manager to let him know what an excellent job the staff had done.

this food was the best and i like the orange juice it was so good and i will keep coming because it very good and the blue berry muffin are so delicious!!!!!

Service was great! Food was too! Clean & convenient. A welcome experience for us, we were just traveling through.
