This location is a creative co-working space that has shared tables and a large open layout. I have been told that it was started to support the growing creative community in the area and allow for more collaboration on projects and even offers free events/donation based classes etc.I love the concept, but the space is incredibly warm both literally and that warm-fuzzy feeling you get when sharing space with fabulous people! Also, there seems to only be one toilet. I was there for a launch party and it was packed so having more facilities would be a great add as well as more industrial fans to push the air around/heat when winter comes.I am all about supporting Sacramento, my fellow women, and creativity in this chaotic world. I hope for very large success for this group and this space.

Broad Room is a rare treat in Sacramento: a supportive space geared solely towards boosting up creative people through classes events and being a coworking venue. Claire works tirelessly to stay engaged in cultivating the art community in Sacramento and it really pays off in the events that she throws. Everything is done with such intention that it feels very genuine and homey, which is a rarity in the oft-snooty art spaces that can be experienced other places in Sac. Broad Room recently moved to Uptown Market and I am beyond excited to see how those two cool ass spots grow together but I just wanted to say that I personally met so many cool people and saw art I never would've been exposed to if it hadn't been for Broad Room and all of Claire's efforts. I will miss it since I've moved away but it had inspired me to focus on that kind of inclusive nonprofit community outreach work after grad school. Thank you for everything Claire!
