The place was charming .... Food was awesome BUT the service was outstanding. !!So sorry I did get the servers name .. a lovely lady who made us feel welcome .... Was able to recommend dishes to us. . The nice lady that works at the kitchen supply shop next door told me how great the French onion soup was. .... So each time I go to Bricks now I always add that to my favs !!! Cheers

Great place to stop for a bite right in downtown Placerville. We were seated pretty quickly on this busy day after Thanksgiving. We only ordered drinks and appetizers but I saw the burgers other people were ordering and they looked huge and delicious! We had the cheesy garlic bread which was huge and the hot and spicy shrimp. The shrimp had amazing flavor and the sauce was indeed spicy but quite good. The martini flight was a fun order, loved every one I tried. The place was hopping and seemed like a fun hangout. They also have many beers on tap and a few different tv screens as well. Definitely on the noisier side so probably not the place for a romantic dinner but definitely a great place for a burger and beer!

Cuisine continues to disappoint some of us so giving up on this place. Super disappointed as I used to be a huge fan.

Ever since the Independent got rid of their amazing fried chicken, Brick's has been our go-to in Placerville. I've never had to wait for a seat (though admittedly I avoid the weekends) and service is always friendly and prompt. This is a no-frills joint, but the food is really punching above its weight class. The sweet potato planks are a MUST order. The portion is incredibly generous (too much for the 2 of us, honestly) and their ranch is absolutely phenomenal. I was trying to go meatless and was excited to see the fried green tomato grilled cheese as an option. It was amazing, and I loved the contrast with the melty cheese and crispy tomato--with the bread it made for an amazing crunchy texture. I got a side salad and their house dressing was delicious. Like I said in the beginning- it's my go-to, and that is not without reason.

Road trip to Tahoe took an unexpected turn... straight into food heaven! We stopped with rumbling stomachs, and bam--best decision ever. The menu? So many selections! I went for the Fried Green Tomatoes Grilled Cheese, took one bite, and--BOOM--instant happiness. It was so good. The service was also great. Heading back to Tahoe in a few weeks, and trust me, this spot is getting a sequel. It's too good to be a one-hit wonder!

My husband and I love coming here for happy hour and occasional snacks. Caroline is beyond amazing and always is such a breath of fresh air. Between her being so fun and such a joy and ordering the babas (amazingly yummy) and potstickers...this is our go to spot!

Stopped in here for a late lunch on the recommendation of the people working at Lava Cap, where we had been wine tasting. Cute restaurant, parking was free and easy to find despite the busy and central location. Huge menu with wide variety of options. My friend got the tuna melt and I got the fish and chips. Everything was served hot and it was quite tasty. Ambiance was relaxed and the service was attentive and friendly. I left my credit card there and went back almost a week later to get it. So grateful they had saved it for me!
