Been here a few times in my 5 years living in sac. Most recently was a night my friend and I went to the Snug before and then came down here. Personally, I think we should have stayed at The Snug. We got to the bar and waited almost 20 minutes before someone helped us. We both got two of the Christmas drinks. It was okay. Nothing special. We went to sit down and it seemed like the place had just been trashed that night. Garbage everywhere. Like no one had cleaned it up. A few girls in the bathroom were doing drugs.I did think the Christmas lights were pretty.. but the service really sucked.

Good place to grab an after work drink or pre dinner warm up. Not too big and it gets busy. I have zero issues going to this spot. Not a five because of prices and wait times. But those are probably good problems to have at a bar.

We we decided to end our night here and have one drink before going home after our dinner. I been seeing this place on TikTok a lot, and it looks very appealing on TikTok. We decided to give this place a try. I guess we missed all the decor because it was not decorated at all , so I'm assuming they're switching over from the Christmas to something else. We had to wait in a big line to just get a drink . Which is fine but the waiters were kind of rude not that friendly. They look unhappy and rushed I know they are busy which I get but it's all about customer service with me and I didn't get that here. My friends drink literally fell while when we were trying to walk to our table. She didn't even get to get one sip of it. I went back to the counter to the bar and told him that my friends drink fell which is totally my friend's fault but, he was like oh its her fault okay so we ordered an other one which is fine . But its the way he said it for me . Next time we will go to snug better drinks better service .. We went to sit down. The seating arrangement is a little weird as well. My drink the cucumber gimlet was pretty good. We hung out there for a little bit and we just took off after that. After our one drink .. seems like a few people like this place so this was just my experience .

I love this place!!! Everyone is so nice and the cocktails are great!!We stopped here bc it was so hot but the drinks were awesome !!

Came here for the first time with some friends and it was such a cute place. The whole place is decorated in Christmas decor and the music was a vibe. Such good energy!We ordered tequila shots and a couple other drinks on the menu. Good selection of beers and creative cocktails!Bottle & Barlow is a great place for drinks with friends. From their spacious venue, lax atmosphere, and great variety of beverages - it's a must try.Cocktails are strong and are at a reasonable price. Service is great also.

Went to Bottle and Barlow for a drink. It was really busy but there was order as the bartender was very attentive in who was next. They decorated for the holiday and had specialty cocktails. A DJ was getting ready to play and there was a nice swcurity guy checking IDs.

I tried the Moscow Mule, mostly because they make their own ginger beer here and I love ginger beer. Unfortunately I found their version of this drink to be a little too herbaceous for my taste... Maybe it was the menta in the drink? Prices were great though, especially compared to other places nearby.I'm told they have a dice game where you can get a random drink depending on the descriptions on the dice. Sounds like a good option for those who don't know what they want or are looking for something unexpected.Btw...If you ever come here for a first date and the patio light dies on you multiple times while you're sitting under it...consider that a sign from above that you should run from the date and not look back (speaking for a friend lol).

My girlfriend and I went here a few times in the past and we decided to try it again. The first time a few weeks ago they had a bartender who was visually drunk. We decided to leave. We tried a gain a week later and once we got to the bar, the bartender dropped the drink he was making which splashed all over the counter and some got on me. No free drink, and barely a "sorry". I really wanted this place to be good so I gave it more of a go than I should have. We ordered our drinks and the bartender started making them without cleaning the mess on the counter. I ordered a cocktail and it tasted artificial and something else that was off. My girlfriend ordered a slush drink from the machine they have there and it tasted like off brand candy and alcohol. We only took a few sips but couldn't even get 1/4 of the drinks down. As we left I noticed the bartender helping another customer while the mess was still there. I recommend Snug and The Shady Lady. Far better experience.
