Ordered the Crunchwrap with carne asada.It was really good and flavorful. Have to come back and try the rest of the menu.Great quick service.Clean restaurant.

Very messy to eat!!! The tacos are very soft and hard to grab. The sour cream from the starter pack just made it so messy. Flavors are good and I am glad that the birria tacos has lot of meat.The service wasn't good at all. At first, I asked a question about the starter pack since I saw the menu has a drink that comes with it and when I ordered DoorDash, it doesn't. The lady told me that DoorDash is different and it's ok. Then I got confused with the street tacos since DoorDash asked for 2 protein on the street tacos then I thought it might come in 2 tacos so I went back to ask. When I was walking to her, she said in Spanish that " that lady is coming back again, see what she wants now ..." ... I really didn't like that she said it loud with her coworker, made me feel like I am at fault or something. Then I spoke back to her in Spanish, made sure that she know that even I am Chinese but I can speak fluently in Spanish. People needs to learn that nowadays many people are multi languages so be careful of what you says.The birria boys is located inside of a gas station, little weird.

I'd would've loved to write a review about my food and how it tasted here, but unfortunately I cannot. I tried calling in advance to place an order, but it seemed like the phones were out of service. Not a problem, I get it can be busy and you can't answer the phones all the time when you work in the food service industry. However, when I arrived I was given a very short greeting and told that the only options they had left were steak and pork. Cutting straight to the chase, which I understand.I was disappointed to find out that upon arrival they were out of birria and consume. So even if I wanted to order Birria from them, I unfortunately cannot. With a place being called Birria Boys, you would think they would have Birria. I guess it's more so Birria "sometimes" Boys instead. I'll give this place another chance in the future, but I am disappointed that the main thing they are known for was not available anymore. For a Friday night atleast ~2 hours before their closing time you would expect atleast getting one order of quesabirria tacos, but I guess not. I hope this message goes out to the owners well and they take this constructively. I do look forward to giving this business a chance again in the future, but upon first impressions I am a little disappointed.

I stopped to get gas at Shell and discovered this hidden gem tucked away in the back. There were lots of people placing to-go orders, and they also have seating available. I decided to try the super burrito with seared steak, and wow, it did not disappoint! The meat was flavorful, and the food was neatly packaged. They even cut my burrito in half for me, which is perfect for me to save the rest for later! I'll definitely be returning to try more items on their menu!

This is located inside the Shell gas station. Food is very good, especially the loaded tater tots. Ideal for take out lunch.

What a find! OH MY GAWD, this place is the happening spot. Standing room only, busy, the few tables (3-5 tables and pub tables) were occupied by several parents and soccer kids, lots of people standing waiting for their orders, Door dash people standing by too.Menu is on the wall, easy to decipher, many selections. Variety of tacos: street and crispy queso cheese tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soup, and more. Chicken, different kinds of beef, pork and shrimp, meats plus you can add beans and rice plates to accompany your entree. I opted for the super burrito with Birria beef (slow cooked, tender, juicy beef roast), filled with the meat, rice and whole beans plus sour cream, onions, cilantro and cheese. It was accompanied by a tub of salsa, limes and a roasted/pickled green pepper. It was served super hot, wrapped in foil and paper, cut in half as it's huge and displayed very nearly in the container. DELICIOUS! OH MY GAWD! EXCELLENT. EXCELLENT customer service: friendly, helpful, quick, busy and no idle standing around, employees seem happy and enjoying their jobs. Did I say friendly? Big smile! A+ for the customer service.This restaurant is tucked away in the back of the Shell Gas Station. Never did I think I would eat gas station food. This is not your typical gas station fast food it's like having a home cooked, flavorful and delicious meal. I will be adding this place to my taco / Mexican food favorites. Great find, even the Ford dealership employees raved about it. Also great reviews on Yelp. Had I not had a two hour wait at the dealership I might not have tried this place, not yet anyway but it's been in my favorites list for some.Great job!

I tried the Chicken Quesa Tacos and they were so good! Crunchy, flavorful, full of meat, the cheese is melted into the chicken and topped with creama. The salsa has great flavor and packs a little spice but isn't overpowering. Eat these quickly or they do get soggy but overall, yum! can't wait to come back!

I had a work meeting in Merced and decided to try this spot on our drive from Sac. Burrito was okay. Service was fast. The sauce and meat was great.

Food- Everything was so delicious!- Taco had a kick but the perfect amount of/!; not too spicy.- Great portions. - Great flavors. Service- Super fast.- Friendly.Ambiance - Stationed in the back corner.- A few tables.- Clean.I'll be back to try more items on the menu!

I went to Birria Boys on auto center drive located inside the gas station. Their quesa birria tacos are fire. I love when the cheese gets crispy around the edges. Great price point and even better flavor. My picky children at their food even. I highly recommend this place. Even the bean and cheese burrito was not comparable. The beans reminded me of the ones my grandpa soaked overnight and cooked all day. These guys need their own building bc the food is out of this world.
