Bennett's Westside Grill

I cannot speak for the average dining experience, but I can talk about the event I was invited to. My friend held a graduation party here, and so we were given the back conference/large group room. There were a few dozen of us here, and yet the staff managed to impress me with how easily they juggled so many people. They were friendly, checked in frequently, and were everything I'd expect from a restaurant staff. The mocktails were fantastic. I wish I knew what they were so I could recommend them, but I had asked for 2 different surprises. The bartenders know how to make a delightful drink. The food was delicious as well. I had a lot of food but the banh mi was by far the most memorable. I would return purely for that. It had a little kick to it, and it was very flavorful. I can't wait to return again in the future!

I had higher expectations but it being a Valentines weekend I understand that they were busy. Our server was super sweet and very accommodating. She checked on us several times making sure we had what we needed. To start we ordered the salt and pepper prawns. It comes with six and a dipping sauce in which we absolutely loved. They were nicely cooked and nice and meaty. I had My husband ordered the burger with fries. He thought it was really good and the patty was thick and nicely cooked. I added the augratin cauliflower to his order. I really liked it and he isn't a cauliflower fan but liked it as well. The portion was a nice size. We were able to share it and I had some to take home.My main order was the chili relano. It looked nice but it was super spicy. Don't get me wrong I love heat but this was full of seeds and I just wasn't expecting it. The description was misleading. It said it was stuffed with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, kale and onion but I didn't find any artichoke hearts, mushrooms or even kale! It was loaded with onions. Not good at all. Was very disappointed! The cream sauce was a good flavor though. The waitress was very sweet and she took it off our bill for us. So that was nice. Over all we would like to come back and try it again. Hoping to hit happy hour. They have great deals and option that aren't on the daily menu. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant is really nice and looks upscale. Very inviting and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

Last Saturday night we went for another great meal. My hubby had the cheese burger & I had the prime rib both were specials It was crowded but the hosts were able to seat us anyway. & they were so nice tooService was great & fast even it was crowded. I always enjoy myself at Bennetts Westside Grill. They age there own beef I think it's delicious tooSo don't hesitate I know you will be happy you did

Overall this is a nice upper scale place for a relaxed, casual meal. The restaurant is tastefully designed and probably appealing to a broad cross section of tastes and age groups.Four of us came for a Sunday evening meal and it was pleasant, service was excellent and overall a very nice experience.Prices are fair for the portions. The only downside for me is that the menu isn't all that inspiring. It leans to very basic items and although competent, it's middle of the road.The drink and alcohol menu is quite extensive and this is where a bit of creativity comes into play, including "mocktails" which are becoming very common on menus.I chose a higher quality Zinfandel which was spot on in taste and richness. A dining companion chose a Blood Orange Sour that was absolutely beautiful to look at and came in a classy etched compote style stemmed glass.For my meal I selected the Steak Frites. I was hoping for something with crab as we are in the season, but nothing except for a selection on the seafood tower, something I didn't want due to the size and other options.The Steak Frites is a hanger steak, which I had medium rare, with fries and a small selection of greens on top. The steak was quite good, although a couple of pieces were grizzly to chew, yet not excessively so. The sauce, deeply rich, was a very nice compliment on top of the meat. The fries were delicious and came with a small metal cup of ketchup. Overall, the meal was filling and good.Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal, with no complaints or regrets with the choices.For dessert we shared the chocolate cake, which was amazing, and the lemon creme brule.I was surprised that for a Sunday evening the place seemed rather empty. Perhaps a slow night.Anyway, I'd go back again. It appears the menu does change, so I will keep an eye out for another time.

Ambiance - modern, upscale casual.Separate enclosed banquet room.Outside patio open in winter.Reservations suggested at peak times. No wait with reservation.Service, efficient and friendly. Note - need to have warm towels for those eating ribs.Cost - $25 - $60, well above average but not at Hawks Granite Bay level.Food - above average. At these price points a sprig of tyhme or other garnish is warranted. Extensive bar and wine list.Butternut squash soup, good but again a sprinkling of rosemary would add to the presentation.Prime rib and mashed potatoes perfect. $40Chicken and short ribs perfect also.

We enjoy going in Monday nights for their special deal! We enjoy getting a bottle of wine, side salads, and two entrees. This location has a great layout and flow. Service has been great and we always enjoy our time when we come for a meal. We have our favorites for the Monday night special and continue to get it each time because we really love it!

Craving something savory and sweet.During our weekend visit to Rocklin to see family, we made a return trip to Bennett's Westside Grill, and once again, it did not disappoint! The first time we enjoyed brunch. This time we decided to treat ourselves to dinner takeout. We ordered two Steak Cobb Salads, a classic Bennett's burger, and a tasty vegetarian mushroom burger, along with a large order of fries. We couldn't resist finishing off our meal with dessert, so we also grabbed a slice of their rich chocolate cake and a banana cream pie.Everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on, and the portions were generous. A special shoutout to Samantha for the quick and friendly service - it really made our experience even better. Bennett's is definitely worth a visit for tasty food and a welcoming atmosphere!

The friend group frequents Bennett's. It was very popular on a Friday night and had lots of options. Our server was friendly. The chicken was dry and they definitely need to add more chimichurri sauce. The bread was very garlicky and maybe could've used more cheese to balance it out. The Mia salad is big, that was only a half portion! Prices range from about $20-60 per plate.

We have a new local favorite in Bennett's. Here for dinner a few times, we are back now for our second time having Sunday brunch.One of the things we appreciate is this is not a standard breakfast menu, the wide variety of items gives us a chance to try fun and different items.I had an excellent corned beef hash here only last trip, went for the 'new' chicken wet breakfast burrito this time around. My wife did the chicken fried steak, something all staff rave about - for very good reason.Whether somewhat standard items such as what we did, or having a beet salad as brunch, there's plenty to choose from.An extensive craft cocktail menu adds to the choices, and if bubbly is your thing, their Sunday special is two brunch items and a bottle for just

As my brother would say! Suck it up and make a reservation! We did and it paid off!!! Cristin was absolutely awesome, very knowledgeable and on point throughout the night ! We had three prim ribs and ordered all three the exact same medium rare but they brought one medium, I bit the bullet and took the medium, which any high sight I would have sent it back and had the medium rare... the medium was just average, the medium rare was definitely on point for a prime rib... the ladies had a steak and bacon taco, beef short ribs, and the filet ! They were very pleased with their dinners . We had a butter cake for dessert and 1/2 of the table liked it and the other 1/2 was very disappointed, they should have gotten chocolate,which the girls usually do! Overall we will return to the restaurant because of service and taste and price was very reasonable... ohhhh I forgot we had the clam chowder was off the hook!!! My brother ate his and his wife's! A definite winner!!!
