A pretty nice park that's been updated with newer playground equipment. There's a structure for preschool age and younger, and then there's one that's for bigger kids 5-12 or so. There's several benches for parents to sit and still be close with to watch their kids. There's no bathrooms, but when the library is open you can use those inside the library. There's plenty of trees and pretty good shade for hot summer days, it's an older park, but it's alright overall.

Belle Cooledge park hits close to home ! Growing up in the South Land Park community of Sacramento California, I have been coming to Belle Cooledge Park off and on for over the past 40 years. This park is conveniently located right next to Belle Cooledge Library. The park is approximately 6.11 Acres located just off of South Land Park Drive & Fruitridge Rd. It has picnic tables distributed throughout the park. There are no barbecues though. It does have a large play ground for the older kids and a tot lot for the younger children. Not to mention they also have a gazebo. Being next to the Public Library, parking is not an issue. Park users can use the library's parking facilities . The park is clean and well maintained. It's walkways are lined with cherry trees, making the park stunning during spring when the cherry blossoms bloom. Picnic tables are also shaded by a huge oak tree !I have fond memories coming here with my daughter. I can see me pushing her back and forth on the swing, helping her slide down the slide, or rocking back and forth on a spring loaded horse in the sand lot. I found myself coming here quiet often after visiting the library next door. This park does not offer alot of amenities that larger parks do. There are no baseball fields, nor tennis courts, swimming pool, or basketball courts. With me saying that I still feel that this park deserves a solid 3 Stars for giving me wonderful memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life!

We love this park. My husband ran a crossed it one afternoon when we first moved to the area. This is a park that is attached to a smaller library. The library offers story time for infants, toddlers, and many events for all ages through out the year. There is plenty of shade (lots of trees) near the benches (this was executed VERY well). Even some picnic tables. There are two playgrounds very close to each other with-in the park. One side for toddlers (has a swing set) and one side for older kids (has a swing set and tire swing.)There is ALWAYS parking (unless an event, parking becomes limited.)*The restrooms are located INSIDE of the library. The library has limited hours (some days they are closed, some times they open at 11am.) So if the library is closed, the bathrooms are closed.

I like to walk here from our apartment, for the use of the PARK for my toddler (they have two play structures, one for toddlers and one for age 5+) and also WIFI if you get close enough to the library/community center building. The library itself is always so crowded that my son doesn't even go inside haha he'd rather go play outside.

The dog park here is AMAZING! So much room to run, play, mingle and stare at squirrels. An ample amount of shade and seating makes this the perfect place to relax with your pooch without having to make awakened conversation with a stranger. It's about a mile to walk around the entire park, so I get my exercise in while my pooch does too. Plenty of free parking, waste bags and scoopers provided, water and balls. The park does close during inclement weather and for a few days after the rain but I easily spend 2+ hours here a day.
