Basha Taste of Jerusalem

Found a new gem today. Service was great! did not wait long and we were told that they were getting everything settled and we did not mind. Ordered lots of food for my Mom's birthday, they were all very flavorful but the free bread made me full for my meal so, I had a lot of left overs! Really wanted to try the kanafeh but will for sure be coming back for that :) I love how the placed looked with the beautiful murals and traditional resistance pieces such as the keffiyeh! #fromtherivertothesea

We love the food here, the chicken shish kabobs are tender, the rice, the hummus. The garlic sauce is a must. The kibi is good as well. The service is hit or miss. The ambiance is gorgeous. We did have an issue with a few to go orders, the sauces were very old and rancid. The food wasn't as good as usual. So sometimes the cook is off and the food isn't as good as it typically is, there's definitely a consistency issue. Overall I would recommend .

A gem and probably our favorite restaurant in Sac! We've visited twice and both times we didn't have to wait however, it was a full house inside with a good buzz. Servers are to the point and good service like switching out plates from starters to mains. We like to get the family option for a variety of meats. The lamb is well marinated and grilled to perfection. One thing you cannot skip is having some mint tea and Knafeh!

Incredible!! So happy my wife and I finally got to visit on a rare date night without the kiddo. Lovely restaurant and everything on the menu sounded excellent. We went with the maqluba and 1) it was GIANT, and 2) it was absolutely perfect. We barely made a dent and I was happy to be eating leftovers of it for a few more days. The rice and veggies were so flavorful and the chicken was ridiculously tasty, and I'm definitely not usually one to rave about chicken? We had the kufta with beitinjan also which was great albeit a little saltier. Overall was so grateful to have come here, the staff were all so kind and helpful, and we're definitely looking forward to coming back to try more items from the menu! (Likely with more friends since the portions all seem huge??)

Dined here 3 times in the last few months, and will be coming again soon! I've scarfed down my food so fast each time, I've yet to snap a pic. Suffice to say, the food hits the spot. Warm pita and salty olives are complimentary. My favorite is the Basha bowl with chicken, but I've also tried the kabob plate, and pizza! Spacious restraint with beautiful murals. Small parking lot out front and along the side of the building. I can definitely see why they were featured in the East Sac "Insider" magazine!

Basha restaurant exceeded all expectations during our recent visit. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group of 16, including both family and friends with kids.The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was expertly crafted, bursting with flavor and freshness. Whether it was the aromatic spices in the kebabs or the rich sauces accompanying the entrees, every bite was a delight to the senses. The menu offered a wide variety of options, ensuring there was something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters in our group.What truly stood out was the impeccable service. Despite the size of our party, the staff remained attentive and personable throughout the evening. Our glasses were never empty, and our plates were promptly cleared, allowing us to focus on enjoying our meal and each other's company.

I felt like I am back in Israel with the restaurant decor and the delicious food! The complimentary bread is served warm and goes perfect with the olive oil and za'atar. I had the shawarma mix platter and the kanafeh with ice cream to share. The food is very flavorful and well seasoned. I love the white sauce that comes with the plate. The kanafeh is made to order so it came out warm and crispy. You got to order it with ice cream! Definitely recommend saving room for dessert if you dine here!The waitresses were all very nice and accommodating.

I've been wanting to try this place and so glad I was able to! I got the Mezza Platter and Maqluba for takeout. My order was ready quickly and the man who helped me was very friendly. I was SHOCKED by how much food was waiting for me! The portions are huge and definitely worth the price. I loved trying all the dips and salads with the platter. They were all fresh and delicious. The Maqluba was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Loved by the whole family! We will be back and hopefully to dine in next time because it looked very beautiful.

I'm a first-generation palestinian, and I have been looking for a restaurant that has my favorite dishes, and I found it! Middle Eastern restaurants always seem to only have kebabs and shawarma, which are good, but we have so many more wonderful dishes. I've been dying for maqluba, and theirs is amazing even better than my mother's! Not to mention, the portion was so big it had me questioning if they brought me the right order. The basha wrap tasted so refreshing with the pickled vegetables in it too! I can't wait to go back and try some more authentic meals that bring back memories of what I ate with my family as a child if I had the money I would order eventing on the menu

Why did yall close!? This place used to be hella good & affordable. The service was great & food.
