Clean environment, excellent service, and competitive prices come first to mind as I reflect on my previous experiences eating at Baan Noodles and Rice. Some of the standout dishes include: Boat Noodle Soup, Drunken Noodles, and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The server was always friendly, talkative, and educational of the some of the subtleties of the Chef's flavors that set Baan Noodles and Rice, without giving away the Chef's secrets. Definitely a gem worth trying in the South Land Park neighborhood.

On a rainy Sunday, Baan Noodles and Rice was the chosen location for me and a friend to catch up and have lunch. It was fairly busy even with the drizzly weather, but there were a couple of tables still available when we arrived. My friend and I decided to share an order of boat noodles and drunken noodles with chicken. The boat noodles were soo comforting and flavorful! The drunken noodles were also tasty, but missing some of that "wok flavor" that I usually associate with this dish.I also saw some signs for a $5 weekend special - spicy bamboo shoot and ground chicken stir fry, offered Saturdays and Sundays only. I decided to order one to-go to try at home, along with an order of basil fried rice for my husband.Throughout our visit, the restaurant got busier as more customers arrived for lunch. It was a great backdrop to our conversations, without it being too loud or chaotic. The servers were also really nice and checked in on us regularly. While the experience overall was positive, I will say that none of their food was spicy, even when ordered that way. The stir fry items even leaned on the sweet side, with not a note of spice to be found. Despite the lack of spice, still tasty and good value, especially for the $5 special!

Love one of these appetizers, it would be karee puff. They're savory, sweetness, and a little tangy. I think it is a good starter, the dipping sauce improve need but I would suggest mince or thin slices veggies. However it has a nice crunch to it. I also ordered boat noodle soup, it was delicious. I enjoyed it and it's a new experience. They're soft and simple noodle soup. So, I'm not sure if I ever want to come back to crave on the other menu. The service wasn't too bad and friendly. The waiter or server knows how and what to do that welcome the guest(s). I would tip them.

After returning from Chiang Mai, I was on the hunt for Kao Soi as flavorful and delicious as in Thailand. Other places make different variations but Baan is the spot!Seafood Kao Soi 5/5*The curry was on point! It was thick, creamy, and packed full of umami flavor. It's on the sweeter side and I liked that it didn't come spicy, so you can add however much heat to your liking with their spice rack. It had everything authentic to this dish - thick egg noodles soaked in curry sauce, thin egg noodles fried to crispy perfection, pickled veggies, and all the garnishments. We chose seafood as the protein, which came with calamari, shrimp, and a piece of fried fish. Although there was only one shrimp, it was so plump; wish there was more.Duck Noodle Soup 5/5*My #1 spot for duck noodle soup is in downtown, and I thought I would never find another duck soup with such a depth of duck flavor, but here it is. Baan is a very close competitor. The duck flavor shines and the broth is a cleaner, less fatty and less oily version of the one in downtown. They are not stingy with meat either. Meat to noodle ratio was perfect. It was weird there was celery versus bokchoy but that still didn't take away from the star of the show.Green Thai Tea 5/5*The cup was huge!!! You can tell it's freshly made from the various different layers of the tea, milk, and ice. Green Thai Tea has almost a mung bean flavor and way better than regular Thai tea imo.We devoured our soups, no boxes needed. Everything we tried today was packed with flavor. I can't wait to come back to try other dishes. Not sure if the lady outside was an independent seller or not, but there was also a table outside the restaurant selling Thai desserts to-go.

I stopped by this weekend to order some dishes to-go. Placing the order was quick and easy. At the counter I noticed a flyer with the November weekend only special - garlic chicken. I decided to give it a try as it was only $5. I also ordered crab fried rice because it was delightful that last time I visited. The dishes were prepared by the kitchen and wrapped up to-go. The fried rice tasted just as I remembered, absolutely delicious. The amount of crab included in the rice is generous and right for the price. This dish is not to be missed. The garlic chicken special was absolutely worth trying out. The garlic flavor forward. If you like tons of garlic you shouldn't be disappointed. A side helping of white rice and steamed broccoli and carrots was also included. I could see myself ordering an extra dish to have available during the week for lunch.

Dinner with a group of friends , bad service , good food . I had the wonton soup , I thought it was rather sweet. So I add chili pepper and siracha , this made it a bit better . They have self serve food containers to go and a mint tier . I don't drink the broth , I just ate the stuff inside and super generous with the meat. The chunks were HUGE! Plenty of parking , right next door to bel air. They also charge a credit charge fee and gratuity is automatically included on top of tipping .

I was feeling under the weather and I figured I needed something spicy and hot to help clear my congestion. So why not get some Thai food? I tried this local spot from a friend's recommendation and I was impressed to say the least! Although we took the food to go, the interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and it gives a family vibe. The gentleman who gave us our food was incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the wonton soup, pad kee mow and the wonton soup. All 3 dishes hit the spot! I would have to put the wonton soup at the top of the list. With some chili oil, the hearty flavor was out of this world and they were generous with the amount of chicken/shrimp wontons that came with it. For the cheap price it comes at, I would not miss out on this. I cannot wait to return and give their Boat Noodle Soup a try!
