My fiancé and I decided to take my daughter here one beautiful morning. This park was named after Veteran Brian Thomas Collins "aka" B.T. Collins(see plaque), he was in special forces in the Vietnam war where he also received his Purple Heart! Just one of many things he was known for! I would definitely recommend visiting this local park the next time your with your littles in Folsom, my 5 year old had a blast on their playground, they have 2 FYI, as well as nice kept lush green grass and picnic tables!

This park has a great disc golf course which is challenging and fun. It's a great place to take your dog for a walk and also to run the trails for hill training. Everyone here is vey polite and the park is safe at all hours.

B.T. Collins Park happens to be the middle point while walking on the "Oak Parkway Trail"in Folsom, California. Hikers are able to rest here a bit before continuing on your journey. The park itself sits on a sloping hill side in the electric utility power line corridor. It has that country park feel to it. All the amenities are spread out in the countryside with magnificent native oak trees. Way on the top of the hill are the 2 sand volleyball courts and horseshoe pit. As you make your way back down you'll come across the play areas for the younger children as well as for the older children. Some of the walkways in the park leading to the top of the hill are on an uphill grade. So wheelchair access might be limited at this point. There are a total of 9 picnic tables and BBQ's scattered throughout the park. A Porto-potty was recently added for park visitors as well as for hikers on the trail. Parking can be found on nearby neighborhood streets. The park was named after California State Assemblyman "Brain Thomas Collins". Brain was a Vietnam veteran and was the driving force behind the "California Vietnam Veterans Memorial" in the Capital Park. Overall I found this park to be very quite & peaceful . An Ideal spot for friends and family gatherings ! Enjoy !
