I drove from Fremont all the way to Sacramento one of my friend told me let's get lunch here and we order qabili palau The rice was OK but one of my friend said can you try the meat the meat smells nasty and then I tried it was smells bad the meat was not fresh I took the food to the cook I said nicely can you please check this food it is not fresh he responds to me really mainly he said our meat is always fresh , and he took the meat smell it put it in his nose to I said ok I left the food didn't eat and I paid them . I don't recommend the shop at all

This restaurant is a hidden JEWEL in Sacramento! The food tasted like it was made in heaven. Humbling people, great portions, and affordable prices...It does NOT get better than this. Seriously, every Sacramento foodie must try this place!

Well, I would love to write a review, BUT I was never served. Why did I give them two stars? They have a vast selection of spices. Read on. This fairly new store is in the old Buggy Whip. I fought my way through the mess (traffic) on Fulton Ave to get here and check it out for our next neighborhood dinner. My son and I walked and were greeted with a welcome. Then the owner answered the phone and held a very long conversation. The store and restaurant were completely empty. I smiled at him and waited patiently to see if the restaurant was open for business. He kept on talking, then took his phone call outside. That was it. He never came back. We waited about 5 minutes, then left. Went to TJ's for some tandoori, humus, and salad :). Too bad for them. The monthly Stammtisch would have been a great intro for them into the neighborhood. Maybe I will go back in 6 months or so when they are either established, or they will be closed.

This is a wonderful place. The owners are extremely generous in helping the community. They have amazing hearts and believe in giving back. They are very humble and do not expect anything in return. The have helped new immigrants and others in so many ways---More than any other for profit business that I have encountered. They have great food and service too. Please support this gem of a business!

I ordered the lamb Tika kabob and it was horrible. The meat wasn't fresh and the rice and salad that came with it also wasn't fresh. The rice had a disgusting taste and the salad was soggy and spoiled. The lettuce was also brown. I don't know if they have a proper cook. I also had the samosa was cold. Their not taking care of the food hygiene at this place.I came recently again the food got worse. There was no positive changes.
