Idk why this park has only 3 stars overall? Maybe locals know more about the park than I do? But we visited from Roseville & we very much enjoyed ourselves. Yes there are poo debris, yes there can be better maintenance..but for a first time visit, we loved it! Small party happening near the covered picnic area, few families playing near the playground. Little duck fight that I didn't get to capture Overall, would visit again!

I thought this was a nice clean park with a good playground for kids of all ages. There were young kids as well as tweens. There's a huge field where people were playing soccer, and even a smaller field in the back with a bunch of picnic tables. Also a nice pond with ducks (next time going to remember some seeds to feed the ducks).

The park is relatively nice for families, and a dog park that's surrounded by a fence, a small pond with geese, and a few trees. It has a good size area with grass for families to play or to sit, but it has gofer holes. I didn't particularly enjoy this park because a few people had their dogs run loose outside the dog park, and I had to be careful not to step on the gofer holes. Also, when I returned to my car, though there were many open parking spaces, someone parked so close to my driver's side that I had to enter from the passenger side to climb over to the driver's side.

This review is for Ashford Dog Park. The park looks quite lovely, but I've never utilized it.Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about the dog park. And of course the park is fine, meaning plenty of water bowls, fresh water hoses for fill, a doggy waterfall, poop bags and bins for deposit and tennis balls galore. So the doggy Park infrastructure is all there. With all this nice infrastructure what could possible be wrong? The problem are the irresponsible dog owners who take their untrained, undisciplined pooches there, without any regard to the rest of us. Be forewarned that a few of the dog owners there have zero dog ownership and responsibility skills. When their dog chases over another dog, throws it to the ground and then the dog owner ( the one with no brains and no skill) starts yelling at Fido to "STOP!"Then there are other owners who simply let there dogs bite other dogs without a care in the world. As if, "well that's just the way Fido is."Needless to say that will be the last time I take my dog there. We will forever stick to the trail, the river and call it good. 1 time a data point, 2 times, I start to wonder, 3 times a trend. So later you dog owners who truly don't have a clue.

So I basically reviewing this park, because no one else has. Back in the day this was just your typical park, but in the last 10 years or so, it has apparently transformed into a allegedly "gay" park, and a legitimate dog park. Half of the park was transformed into a dog park. There is a decent jungle gym, and a little creek that runs nearby. There are rumors that gay men like to meet in bathroom for a little j/o or b/j. But who knows whether or not that is true.So yeah, that's about all I have to say about the lovely Ashford Park. At the end of the day, it's just a park.
