Arthur Murray Dance Studio

We had a lot of fun learning our first dance with Kristina. She was patient, funny, and helpful. Neither of us are dancers, so this was all very new to us. I was pretty nervous, but doing the private lessons have us the confidence for the big day. It was memorable and a lot more coordinated than it would have been if we had skipped our dance lessons! The studio experience was fun, and everyone was very welcoming. I think we would definitely consider coming back if we need to brush up on our dance moves!

We have enjoyed are time here and are looking forward to more. Thank you and I look forward to more dance and more fun. I have no talent and just this week I saw some forward movement. The last several weeks has been fun yet challenging. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing my favorite instructor this week.

Arthur Murray dance studio has been a way for me to have a fun social experience while getting regular exercise. I love dressing up in pretty clothes and occasionally costumes. Once a year, it is very fun to travel in a group to Mexico. I also find performing short pieces with a dramatic theme with music and costumes and props, a wonderful creative outlet for me.

Incredible staff!! We absolutely love the instructors here. Went in without the slightest idea of how to do a single dance step and in 6 lessons did a beautiful rumba at our wedding August 3rd for our "first dance". They are so patient, encouraging and kind. We learned a few other steps as well that carried us through our reception having so much fun dancing with each other, friends and family. Highly recommend Pedro and his lovely wife Jamilla's studio and special thanks to Trevor and Laci for being so great to work with.

OMG. Every time my face hurt so much... from smiling. Seriously, don't go here if you don't want to have a good time or you'll leave disappointed. Our instructor (McKenna) is fun, encouraging and hilarious. All of the instructors are actually great. Great place if you want to socialize and meet new people, or just learn the basics so you don't make a fool out of yourself. We came to have them help us with our wedding dance but we are having so much fun that we decided to learn everything that interests.

I love the studio because I love dancing but mostly because the people are so friendly, enthusiastic, are so patient with the students and overall a great environment to learn.

I want to thank the Arthur Murray Carmichael Dance Center instructors for making me feel at home.I grew up dancing with my mother, who happened to be a great lead. I didn't know that she had taught me to follow. Now I am learning for myself what I am doing, so I have a better understanding. And maybe one day I will be able to dance as if I am flying. I want to glideacross the dance floor with ease.I have no idea which dance is my favorite because I love them all. Just like the instructors. Each instructor has their own way. Pedro teaches me the details, Jamila puts my body into the correct position, Christina shows me how to dance like a lady, Celine shows me how to move those hips, and of course McKenna, who makes me hold on for dear life!I have missed dancing so much and now it is in my life almost every day. Thank you all for making thispossible.

Love this studio and the people in it.Owner husband and wife Pedro and Jamilla have created an environment that is welcoming, fun, supportive and with great energy. I have been taking lessons and classes there for several years and it was one of the better choices to improve my life I have made. I have never felt judged or criticized. I laugh that Pedro has never told me I did something wrong, but on a few occasions has told me he has never seen it done that way before, which I always take as a compliment. His and wife Jamilla's smiles and laughs are infectious. Christina and McKenna are wonderful longterm faithful teachers and amazing dancers that add to the charm of the environment. My husband and I first came into contact with Arthur Murray Studio when we were preparing for our wedding. Though we had taken lessons off an on over the years at various other studios and did not want to do a routine for our first dance, we were looking for a place that would help us polish our skills before the big day. We could not be happier with our decision to go with AMS, and have now been taking lessons for 9 months following the wedding.From the very first moment you walk in, you are greeted with a friendly, energetic atmosphere and LOTS of smiles. Seriously...LOTS of smiles. I have often wondered if there is just something special in the air, because it is nearly impossible not to have a good time when dancing in the studio.The instructors are very professional and well versed in working with people of all skill levels. They are invested in making you the best dancer you want to be, and make sure you are aware of every available opportunity to better your skills. The group lessons and practice parties are a great way to get to know the other students and get comfortable with social dancing (especially avoiding collisions on a crowded floor). You will be amazed at how quickly you pick up skills that will last you a lifetime! The owners, Pedro and Jamila have created a wonderful culture here. When you start taking lessons, they say,"you are now part of the Arthur Murray Family", and it is absolutely true. We have never felt anything other than comfortable, welcome, and appreciated.
