Customer support: 5/5Facilities and cleaniness: 4/5Basic coffee: 3/5Splashing around and getting comfortable with water: 4/5Learning to swim effectively: 2/5This is a great place to get your babies and toddlers familiar with water and splash around. If that's all you want, then you're at the right place.Customer service is excellent. They make it easy to cancel and reschedule. It's like a boutique service. But it's a terrible place if you want your kid to actually learn how to swim. I'm a results-driven person. I'm not the type of person who goes to a dental office for massage and a manicure; I want dental service at the dentist. Simiarly, I want my kid to learn swimming at a swim class. Everything else is secondary. We've been coming here for about 4 months. Out of the roughly 50-100 kids I've seen, I've only spotted about 3-5 of them actually swimming. The rest of them are being taught to get familiar with water. Barely anyone here has started learning swim strokes or how to tread water. Overall, I feel that this class is a waste of money unless all you want is for your baby or toddler to get familiar with water. Our kid has been here 4 months, and he hasn't learned any swimming techniques. He's comfortable with water now, and that's about it.For every 30-minute lesson, he spends* 22 minutes sitting on the side waiting for his turn because he's sharing the lesson with other kids* 5 minutes getting in and out of the pool* 3 minutes in the pool, but being attached to the swim instructor learning to get comfortable with water* 0 minutes learning to swimSome of lack of kids swimming can be explained because this is a new store, and many of the customers are also new. But 4 months is quite long, and the swim schedule calendar seems to suggest that the swimming course is meant to be covered over a period of 6-12+ months just to learn the basic swimming strokes. I'm not sure whether they're trying to teach kids to swim, or whether they're purposely taking it so slowly to extract more paid lessons. While watching my kid, I've noticed that he has never been in the pool without holding onto the instructor. While this is super safe for the kids and lawsuit-proof, it's totally not effective for learning how to swim. The moment he's away from the instructor, he's not going to know what to do. If all they're trying to do is avoid lawsuits by being safe, they're doing a great job.According to the future lesson plan (after many more months of waiting and splashing around), he's finally going to learn freestyle instead of the basics like treading water and elementary breast-stroke. In most places (and everywhere outside of the US), treading water and elementary backstroke are easiest ad most natural first techniques for kids. I think that's backwards and frightening for kids his age to learn freestyle breathing. I suppose it's fine if their freestyle for toddlers is bad elementary freestyle with bent legs, but why not just go for something easier like breast stroke? When I was a kid, I went to a community college group lesson, and they taught me to swim in 2 weeks for the equivalent of $100 (inflation-adjusted for 2024). And then I went back and learn freestyle in another 2 weeks. It didn't take 12 months, and it was effective.

We had such a great first class! Everyone from the moment we walked in was so nice and helpful! I was so nervous my son was going to cry and have a fit during the class but everyone reassured me it was normal and okay! Looking forward to more lessons!

Hats off to this Aqua-Tots and the team behind it! My daughter started off being afraid to put her face under water, and within a month was able to float on her back and retrieve a ring under the water. Lauren was our main instructor - she was patient yet adept at getting the kids to their stretch goals. The facility and team is awesome as well. The place is quite creatively setup in a retail plaza yet is big enough to a accommodate a number of classes at once. It's easy to view the kids via the big glass walls, and also complete with changing rooms and a refreshment bar. The team has been super attentive and friendly. Scheduling makeups on the app is a breeze. I highly recommend this place!
